More ceramics from the kiln today! Second ever attempt to glaze things has gone slightly better but the underglaze darkening is still tripping me up so I’ll make better whale sharks in the future
I’ll list some (a few are already claimed/for other people) of these tonight on the ko-fi shop maybe?? Let’s say 10pm CST
I’m keeping the whale skeleton dish tho sorry >:)

whalefall ceramics 🐋
tested out my various blue underglazes, some of which look very similar to each other under clear glaze

made these mostly as a glaze test and to use up some fish shapes I had already cut out and didn't want to waste
they don't really have an intended purpose, but I suppose whoever buys them can glue magnets or anything else they want onto the backs

made a small army of usagi ringo (rabbit apple slices!)
I only applied a clear glaze to the "apple skin" part, so there's extra contrast between the matte body and glossy skin

a Guy
need to do some testing to see if this guy is food-safe or not, because some of the clear glaze was applied a little thin, so there's a rough (but not pinhole) texture in some spots. but I may just mark him as not food-safe just to be safe. he can protect your trinkets instead
