I haven't ! I really need to dive into the Reine Margot trilogy and its adaptations.... But I also want to re-read CdMC... and to get into some Balzac... Why did these gentlemen write such huge books ?? And why are there so many adaptations of them ? I'm complaining, but really, I'm not complaining. It's good, but sometimes, it's also bad. I'm very eloquent

I did read la reine margot forever ago in the more prolifics days of my youth, but never La Dame de Monsoreau nor Les Quarante-Cinq. I might watch the series first because I don't know when I'll ever get the time to get to it ! Thanks for the rec !

Muerte

Uno de esos tantos dias de los que tanto temí, ha llegado, la muerte es una realidad difícil de entender, un ente incomprendido que juramos entender hasta que nos arrebata lo que amamos y nos damos cuenta de que nunca estamos preparados lo suficiente.

Por muchos años me mal acostumbré a verte entrar y salir del hospital sin mayores complicaciones, muchas veces tomaste mis manos y me decias entre risas y una mirada frágil y compasiva -"Soy superman, nada nos pasará mientras estemos juntos"- y yo posaba mi cabeza entre tus manos, tu gesto mas grande de amor se asociaba a un pequeño tirón en el cabello y una sacudida. ¡Cómo lo añoro ahora!

Hombre de pocas palabras y voluntad inquebrantable, ninguna derrota era amarga, ninguna victoria incomprendida y ningún problema insuperable, mientras tú fueras mi héroe y yo el tuyo.

Si bien, recuerdo con nostalgia aquellos dias, sé que fui privilegiado con tu compañía y ejemplo, los regalos mas excelsos e infravalorados del mundo moderno. Conocí tus lágrimas, limpiaste las mías, en un mundo rara vez comprendido, lo diste todo por tu sangre, hasta tu último dia, y si... tu ausencia duele, pero vale la pena llorar de pie frente al mundo, porque no fuiste para menos, asi que no importa ahora doblegarse, al final del dia, todos los heroes pierden alguna batalla, pueden no salir de pie, pero su legado perdurará en las memorias de aquellos que vivimos el presente.

RESURGENCES  Cello notes & Vegetal dialogue.

RESURGENCES est une musique de création   « construite sur un axe d’expérimentation déployé aux frontières du son, du sens et du mouvement ... située ... dans sa relation avec le dehors, avec le multiple ». Pascale Criton, l’«Hétérogénèse sonore» dans Gilles Deleuze La Pensée-Musique, ed. CDMC.

RESURGENCES est menée à partir de collectes visuelles de végétaux en différentes zones climatiques du globe.

Tout en interrogeant la notion de partition, dessins et vidéos de ces végétaux proposent une forme aux frontières des écritures du musical et nourrissent interrogation, expérimentation et construction du sonore.

Matière-temps, graphique et vidéo-graphique, coupes fixes et mobiles s'apposent, croissent ou se disséminent jusqu'à former un ensemble d'éléments, épars, multiples et résonnants.

Le projet se développe à partir de l'exploration d'une série « d'outils sonores" ou "caisses à cordes" ( violoncelle baroque et « cello box », une lutherie amplifiée fabriquée et interprétée par Celine Pierre) permettant de glaner et rassembler un ensemble de sonorités archaïques. Possible échos aux expressions du végétal, elle constitue une matière prégnante où se creuse une teneur de temps.

RESURGENCES fait usage de la citation avec un travail de traduction, d'enfouissement et de résurgence de la langue par la langue. Le projet glane des archives sonores de la voix d'Hannah Arendt, et suit, avec ces rhizomes de voix, les créations linguistiques 

« dans leur forme cristallisée … comme des manifestations sans intention et sans communication d'une essence du monde ». Hannah.Arendt, Walter Benjamin, ed.Allia.

RESURGENCES se déploie tel un work in progress sous forme de cahiers, de pièces vidéo-électroacoustiques et de performances.

RESURGENCES is conducted from visual collections of plants in different climatic zones of the globe.

While questioning the notion of score, drawings and videos of these plants propose a form at the borders of the writings of the musical and nourish interrogation, experimentation and construction of the sound.

Matter-time, graphic and video-graphic, fixed and mobile sections are placed, grow or disseminate to form a set of elements, scattered, multiple and resonant.

The project is based on the exploration of a series of «sound tools" or «string cases» (baroque cello and «cello box», an amplified lutherie made and interpreted by Celine Pierre) that allows to glean and gather together an ensemble of archaic sonorities. Possible echoes of the expressions of the plant, it constitutes a pregnant material where a time content is deepening.

RESURGENCES make use of the quotation with a work of translation, burrowing and resurgence of language through language.

The project gleans from the sound archives of Hannah Arendt’s voice. It goes back there, more than ideas directly formulated, the husky voice of the political writer.

RESURGENCES follows, with these rhizomes of voices, “ linguistic creations in their crystallized form … and thus legitimately fragmentary form as intentionless and noncommunicative utterances of a world essence.” Hannah Arendt, Men in Dark Times, Harcourt Brace & Company.

RESURGENCES a work in progress in the form of notebooks, video-electroacoustic parts and performance.
