When I see a fandom post from something my wife is into but I only vaguely know about, three things happen:

1) I audibly mutter “THAT’S MY WIFE” in whatever venue I’m in, at the car servicing station and the university library for rival weirdest places

2) I favorite it to look at once I get a chance to understand the fandom better

3) I send it to her with “!!!!” in the text on this hellsite

People are genuinely just trying to drag each other down, I feel.

Today my coworker asked what I did before I started working at the bakery and I told her I studied illustration, but since it can be difficult to build up a whole life as an illustrator this instant, I chose to take on this job instead for now. Then she asked about my age and I told her I’m 28 years old.

She then looked at me belittling. After I asked about what her deal is, she said at my age, I should have it all together. And I fucking hate her for that.

I am not too old. I am taking longer because of my own reasons that aren’t her business. But how dare telling a person you barely even know, that they’re doing something wrong or that they are taking to long!

How absolutely thoughtless can one person be to judge someone after spending just 5 hours next to each other. She has no right to make her assumptions.

I’m just really really angry about that.

Something that I love to see on 9-1-1 is how much character development they allow

Eddie Diaz really joined the 118, all stoic, walls all around him and not really letting anyone in

To showing him going to therapy, to deal with all of his pent up anger and sadness and frustration

Showing him crying?? Not just once but several times

No it wasn’t easy for him to seek help but he still did it and he comes from a family that doesn’t really deal in feelings and he’s been in the military, having to conceal his innermost feelings from others

Men rarely seek therapy and it’s just

So powerful to portray this on a show like that

In general, they just allow the men to actually show their feelings and not sweep them under a rug

Reasons why I like watching movies by myself: I can cry without anybody staring or making fun of me.

I can sincerely laugh without anybody shushing me.

I can stop the movie at any point to grab something to eat or take a break without anybody moaning about it.

I can gush over a character I adore, without anybody telling me I'm cringe.

Nobody will badmouth the movie while I'm watching it, so I can make my own opinion.

Watching a movie alone just feels more comfortable and real to me. I can truly take it in and experience it with my true feelings about it. Without having to worry what someone else might think.
