"You're Mine" Teaser

It's not much, but I just wanted to say that I'm working on the next chapter. It's just a little slow going 😅

After a while, Arthur slows down and takes some unnecessary turns before heading for a broken down house in the middle of thick trees. You're not even sure it's safe to be in there, but Arthur gets off the horse and nods to the house. 

You follow him inside and he falls heavy on a brittle looking chair that cracks under his weight. When he rubs his leg, you're hard pressed not to say anything and Arthur looks up at you with a grim face. 

"It hurts a little, okay? I'll be fine."

"I didn't say anything."

"I know that look," Arthur grunts and you huff.

"Oh, you mean concern?"

Since I'm in a writing mood, I want to do the mini bang, but now I can't decide on a story.

The idea I had would be my first multi chapter story with a gn!reader which I'd love to do but I'm not sure if the plot is good enough.

I signed up like "great, I already know what to write" .... but now it's back to "do I really?" Bad brain.

Since a few nice people seem to raid my masterlist and leave likes, I ended up reading a few of my old stories and it somewhat gave me a little spark. I've been stuck on a one shot forever and now I have an idea how to fix it. I also have way more motivation.

So, dear readers, please support writers. We love to write and share our work for free, but once in a while, it's nice to get feedback and a little love.

I'm also in the mood for an Arthur modern AU one shot but I can't think of a job or situation I could put him in. Feel free to throw ideas at my head 😆 Can't promise anything, but just thinking about these things really helps my writing brain.

Hey, sorry for just answering this now. I'm glad you like it 😊 I never thought this fic would become so big and meaningful to me, and it's so motivating to see that people care about the story. I'm already 2k into writing the next chapter, so hopefully the next update won't take me months again 😅

I have the urge to write a reader x Arthur fic where Arthur tries to get out of the outlaw life and becomes legit. Thing is that I already wrote that with an OC, and now I have no idea for a plot since I don't want to repeat myself. Anybody got some wishes? 😆

At least I'm making progress on my mini bang fic. Only one chapter left to do. It was meant to be a quick backup but I won't be able to do the other fic I planned (real life f... that up again 😅).

BUT I managed to write a lot more than in the months before, so I have hope that I can finish the next "you're mine" chapter quickly and move on to some old prompts that I really want to do.

I managed to write 650 words on the next "you're mine" chapter today, so for anybody who's interested, it's finally coming along 🥳

I'll be pretty busy the next two weeks, so no idea if I can get to it, but sometime in July should be doable (not promising anything though).

I hope this doesn’t overwhelm you because I sent it so fast, but hearing you’re trying to get into writing again is so good to hear. It’s a big step to even start playing the game again to get back into the feels of things (and not to mention taking drabble requests) so I just wanted to let you know that I and a lot others im sure are very proud and happy for you 🥳

Sorry I'm just answering this now, I'm a little slow with my inbox these days. Thank you so much for the lovely message! I feel like a lot of people around me disappeared from the fandom or at least tumblr, so it's nice and encouraging to see that there's still someone around who cares.

I know I've been guilty of being away and silent myself but I feel like I still have some rdr stories in me and I miss writing. Hopefully there will be a few people around I can still share stories with. That would be nice.

I just read chapter ten when I FINALLY had enough time in my hands to read it all. I can’t lie say that I’m so overly excited for the next chapter! I love the plot and the story progression so much that I could keep rereading the fic over and over again like it’s my favourite book 😭 (then again it is one of my favs). And you’ve got me in like a choke hold that I can’t say I’m over rdr just yet lmao. But seriously love your writing sm! (Bet that I’ll be making some kind of shitty theories about the next chapter lol 😭)

I'm so happy you enjoy it. This story has turned into my special project and I think it always takes me a while to get chapters done since I don't want to mess it up.

Theorize away! I think that's the joy in reading a wip. Besides, I'm always happy to hear people's thoughts and ideas. The fic isn't set in stone for now.

Someone on AO3 actually asked me about Arthur's and reader's horse, so that's why I put in their names. I probably would have forgotten about them otherwise.

I just wanna say that I binge-read all 10 chapters of "You're Mine" and I wanna cry. It was so good!! The mix of emotion, continual focus on consent, being open about stuff with each other, and the sexy bits made it such a great read. Thank you for making my morning better <3

You're Mine teaser

You crouch in the high grass, looking for signs of the dear you've been stalking. It's nowhere to be seen, but the grass behind you rustles, letting you know that something bigger and heavier is coming your way.

"Hey," a soft voice says behind you.

There must be a good reason why Charles is coming over to you, risking to startle the animals you're trying to hunt.

"What is it?" you ask as you turn around.

"There's a wagon coming along the road. If they keep going, they'll end up right in camp."

You see, I'm working on it. It's just slow going 😅

I feel like if I managed to sit down for an hour or two I could put the next "you're mine" chapter out without much trouble but at the same time my brain refuses to make progress on it. I hate when that happens.
