Archival Art #4: Moving Up

*Reminder that names have been changed from their old versions to their current names to avoid confusion.

I was nervous when Aleksandr asked me to move in… Brightstone is very different from a tiny home in Charhollow. He insisted I shouldn’t be living alone; besides, it’s much safer here than there. I didn't go out much except for Warden business, and when I did I kept covered, he may not have thought much of me being tycherosi… others did though, I could always hear their whispers behind my back.

Another dive into Ellis' backstory from the campaign, this time a little look into her brief time amongst the Doskvol nobility. Overall this was a pretty simple pic. I think I mostly wanted to try doing an actual background since I tend to just draw characters in some sort of void or other flair of color. I remember also being interested in trying something to mimic a lighting effect.

Did I pull that off? Honestly not sure but I remember liking it at the time and still like it somewhat now.

I made an Astral Elf for a Spelljammer campaign my friend is running (we loving call it spacejammer dvd)

He is a barbarian with path of wild magic!

There’s not much I can say about him just yet tbh but enjoy my first drawings of him lol

Tbh I might just tweak his design here and there later but for now, say hello to Eclipse!

He left his community and he has approximate knowledge of many things ahhsdhhfdjs but actually he is an idiot that knows nothing and gets everything wrong most of the time

Oh yes, remember the NES Dwarfs I did of Megaman and Kid Icarus?

Yeah, I guess not since I didn't post them here.

But seriously, while I probably won't make Dwarfs of the same frequency I used to, I DID want to remake these Dwarfs and try to make them better - especially their respective armor.

Bluford Brightstone on the left is meant to be an amalgam of the whole Light family - Dr. Light, Megaman, Protoman, and Roll, hence the red under his armor - as Megaman was most likely built on top of Protoman's original design. I still think he'd be a Fighter - and while DMs including guns in their D&D campaign is hit or miss, you could make him an Eldritch Knight - since by the end of a Classic Megaman game, you'd be decked out with all sorts of weapons. Heck, by the end of Megaman 1, you can shoot fire, electricity, and ice, throw bombs, enhance your strength to throw giant boulders, and throw bladed boomerangs. And there's 5 other NES games and 5 other games throughout the classic series.

Meanwhile, Jordyn Hightower is more based on Pit himself. A Paladin cannot smite with ranged weapons, but a Crossbow-carrying Paladin that also carries a hammer - in the game, you DO get one, even if it's just to save Palutena's soldiers from petrification.

After Darn causes a small explosion in his workshop, his mentor relegates him to a different task in preparation for the Vigil of Light, a major holiday celebrating dragonkind's victory over The Darkness.  He gathers his two clutchmates, Jagi and Luka, and the three of them head off for the dragon fortress/mining facility Brightstone.  Their mission is to check on the slowed shipments of Aerichus, a beautiful and precious ore.  What they uncover is something far deeper and more sinister than normal causes of delay, and it will take these young dragons' entire cunning and courage to surmount this strange antagonist.
