Caleb Ray Reggie A/B/O AU???
Okay so I've written a lot of Caleb/Ray/Reggie a/b/o au ficlets and bullet point not!fics so I decided to throw them all in a word doc and get them in the right order and turn some of those bullet point ficlets into real fics. It's something I mostly tinker with when my brain doesn't want to work on other fics.
One of the not!fics was about Reggie and clothes, have a snippet of that:
The first time he stole one of those sweaters, which had been enticingly draped over a chair in the bedroom, Caleb… well, Reggie didn’t know what else to call it except preened. It was kind of adorable. And his sweater really was soft, so it was a win-win, and suddenly he had twice the amount of clothes that smelled like his alphas to choose from.

Chaos prompts: 3 + Reggie/Ray
Chaos prompt 3: "We do not need that many tiny pumpkins."
This is set in Innytoes’s ABO au. The gist of the world building is that omegas aren’t legally people, and they have to be registered to an alpha. Reggie is an omega who is registered to Ray and Caleb (both alphas), who are married. The concept is dystopian, but fluffiness abounds.
Once Ray and Caleb realized that all Reggie did with his new credit card was buy groceries, they agreed to give him access to their Amazon account. At the very least, they wanted him to be able to watch things on Amazon and, Caleb hoped, he’d become bolder about buying things he wanted for himself. (Caleb’s ulterior motive was to spy on Reggie’s purchase history so that he could get a better idea of what sorts of things Reggie might like as gifts.)
This ended up backfiring when Reggie realized he could buy Halloween decorations on Amazon.
Ray logged into his account, noticed the number of new items in the cart, and started rubbing his temples as he tried to sort through the dozens of Halloween-themed decorations Reggie had added (he hadn’t bought any of it yet, but clearly the man loved Halloween).
“Reggie,” Ray called as the omega passed through the dining room where Ray was on his laptop, “remind me to show you the box of Halloween decorations we have in the loft in the garage.”
Reggie froze, facing paling (more than usual). “You’re on your Amazon, aren’t you?”
“You’re not in trouble,” Ray assured him quickly, and Reggie relaxed a fraction. “It’s just that we already have enough decorations to put up around the house. I don’t know where we’d put,” he paused, scanning the screen and picking an object at random, “30 tiny plastic pumpkins?”
Reggie cleared his throat. “It’s actually 60. I put it in the cart twice.”
Ray gave him an incredulous look. “We do not need that many tiny pumpkins.”
“I know,” Reggie said, somewhat dejectedly. “It’s just, Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I’ve never lived with anyone who wanted to decorate for Halloween, so I might have gone a little overboard imagining all the different ways we could decorate the house.” He gave a half shrug. “It’s stupid. Halloween’s not even for a couple of months, anyway.”
Ray walked over to Reggie and wrapped him in a hug. Reggie wrapped his arms around Ray in return. “Reggie, it’s not stupid. It sounds like it’s something you’ve wanted for a long time, and no one’s ever given it to you. But in this house, we do decorate for Halloween, and you’re welcome to help us make the house look extra spooky, if you want to.”
Reggie nodded against Ray’s shoulder. “I would love that.”
Ray smiled. “And who knows? Maybe it’s time to update some of our decorations. Do you want to go through the Halloween bin with me and see what we might get rid of to make room for some new stuff?”
Reggie pulled back, eyes wide. “For real?”
“Of course! We can even do it right now, if you want.”
The grin on Reggie’s face lit up the whole room. “Race you to the garage!” And with that he took off. Ray, knowing it was a race he would lose, was just happy to see Reggie excited.
When Caleb came home, he found them knee-deep in the Halloween decorations that were spread all over the garage floor. Confused as he was, Ray walked over to him, gave him a peck and whispered, “It’s for Reggie.”
Later, Ray showed him what he had found in the Amazon cart, and Caleb was delighted to realize that he now had new gift ideas for Reggie.

Sleepy time prompt 24 for Caleb/Ray/Reggie? (because I miss them)
-anotherfantom
"I can hear you thinking."
Ray opened his eyes to find his husband gazing back at him, half amused, half concerned. "Sorry," he whispered. Reggie was curled fast asleep between them, his face tucked safely under Ray's chin. It was a few days after his heat, after Caleb had found him rooting around their laundry to find something, anything that smelled like them.
They'd had a conversation about that, about how of course Reggie was always welcome in their bed. Thankfully, the man had taken them up on that, shyly crawling between them and then practically melting when they wrapped him up in their embraces.
"Talk to me, darling," Caleb said. ''What are you worrying about?"
Caleb knew him better than anyone at this point. He always knew when Ray's thoughts just couldn't stop, how they would keep tumbling around and around in his head if he didn't get them out. Still, part of him didn't want to share these ones, in case he set something in motion that he'd regret.
"It's nothing," he said, avoiding Caleb's eyes.
"Ray," Caleb said, soft and firm and oh, he was so in love with this man. Reminding him with just one word that of course he could share anything with his husband, that they made a promise on their wedding day. For better or worse.
"Did we move too fast?" he asked, even though he felt incredibly guilty just asking, for putting these worries on Caleb.
"Are you not happy?" Caleb asked, concerned.
The thing is, he was. He was so happy. They hadn't been with Reggie long, but he just... they clicked. He fit. And every day, he could see him unfurl a little more, open up a little more, like a flower slowly blossoming, and it was the most beautiful thing in the world to see.
"I am," he reassured Caleb. "I just... I know we talked about it, theoretically, some time in the future. But I never stopped to ask you if... if you wanted this. We never really discussed it." Caleb had just seen him, seen the look in his eyes, and had drawn up the paperwork while Ray was just... talking to Reggie.
"Would you have preferred leaving Reggie in that place for another month, visiting him, talking it through?" Caleb asked, already knowing the answer. "Dearest, we'd both agreed this was something we wanted. We just hadn't put a timeline on it. And when I saw you two together, I knew it was right. I'm sorry if I didn't stop to talk to you first."
Between them, Reggie snuffled a little, before nuzzling closer, nose pressed against Ray's scent gland. He took a deep breath, thought warm and happy thoughts. He didn't want to wake Reggie up because his scent was distressed.
"Do you remember what you told me about the signs?" Caleb asked. Ray flushed. He was pretty sure Caleb didn't believe in the fact that he thought Rose sometimes sent him signs.
But how else could he explain that Caleb brought him dahlias on their first date? Even though he was more of a classic red roses kind of man, and Ray was more of a tulip guy himself. He'd rang the doorbell, just as Ray had been taking out his phone to call the date off, to apologise and say he wasn't ready, because he couldn't stop thinking about Rose and how he was moving on from her. And then there Caleb was there, with a big bouquet of dahlias, and Ray knew everything was going to be okay.
"Yeah," he whispered, choked up.
"He was playing one of Rose's songs, Ray," Caleb said. "Not just any, he was playing my favourite of Rose's songs. It was a sign. He was meant for us."
Oh. He hadn't known that. Caleb never minded when he put on one of his Rose and the Petal Pushers CDs, but he didn't know he had a favourite. He sang along to a few of them, but...
Reggie had been playing Like Magic. Ray chuckled. Of course that was Caleb's favourite.
"I love you."
"I love you too," Caleb said, scooting impossibly closer, his hand covering Ray's where it was resting on Reggie's hip. "Now go to sleep."
"Yeah," he agreed, closing his eyes again. This time, sleep was easy.

Rggie/ray/Caleb au thoughts?
-The first time Caleb invites Reggie to be his Special Guest at a fancy party he is terrified because what if he says something stupid and embarrasses Caleb? He's not a rich fancy person. He doesn't know about stock and yachts and whatever rich people talk about.
Caleb just pats his hand and says: Kitten, do you think I have any idea what Ray's coworkers are talking about when he invites me to his work parties? You just smile and nod and sip your drink if you don't have anything to say.
-Every time someone at work says Caleb is scary Willie has to fight the urge to show them the cute pictures of Caleb Reggie sends him where he is Discussing Not Sitting On The Keyboard with the cats or like napping with Bucket curled on his lap or cooking with a cat on one shoulder.
-Caleb is annoyed Willie isn't scared of him anymore but he cannot begrudge Reggie having a friend.
-One time Ray forgot his lunch so Caleb was like 'this will not stand' and he and Reggie drove like 3 hours to the Top Secret Shoot Location to bring him his lunch. Except Reggie pointed out it would be rude to just bring Ray lunch when there was a crew and models as well.
So they basically show up in the desert in Caleb's Sexy Little Sports Car with a dog, and 5 coolers full of food (some Reggie-made and some from a local bistro or something).
Everyone is delighted and one of the models gets to pet Bucket and Ray is basically like: you just wanted an excuse to take Reggie out in the car didn't you? But kisses Caleb hello anyway because yeah he was getting fucking hungry and it’s the middle of nowhere, he can’t just run out and find a food truck.
Still, Ray gets like 3 more shoots out of it because all the people they fed (models, hair and makeup, whatever person was there from the fashion brand in charge of the clothes and schedule) keep requesting to work with him specifically.
-Caleb and Reggie's favourite Trashy TV Shows to watch (and heckle) together are Hotter than my Daughter, Snog Marry Avoid, and My Super Sweet Sixteen.
-Ray and Reggie like to watch Treehouse Masters together and dream of one day owning a treehouse. Caleb is like 2 seconds away from calling before realising they don't have any trees in the back yard. He may or may not be looking for a nice piece of land outside the city with Good Proper Trees on it.
-If Caleb or Ray stay up late working for too long Reggie is not above just plonking himself down on their laps and curling up to go to sleep right there until they give up and come to bed.
-If Luke, Julie, or Alex have a bad day they just go to the Molina-Covington house and get buried in pets. Like literally, Ray came home one day to find Reggie piling cats on Luke while he was laying on the floor and just shrugged and went to put away his things like: okay then.
-Does Caleb go on an overseas trip for some obscure business reason and come back to a new dog on the couch and just sigh? Yes, yes he does.

For the nice anon who had a bad week and wanted some more Caleb/Ray/Reggie ABO AU. This snippet has been floating in my brain for weeks so I’m using this as an excuse to write it. Hope your weekend is better!
(Trigger warning for some internalised fatphobia and unhealthy thoughts.)
Halloween was Reggie’s absolute favourite holiday. It always had been. It was about dressing up and candy and running around with your friends, not being forced into a tie or pretending to be the perfect family or your parents shouting because everything costs money. An old sheet and a pair of scissors for two eye-holes and you were ready to go.
When Ray and Caleb learned Halloween was his favourite holiday, they went all out. Ray dragged out all his Halloween decor even though it was still summer, so they could go over what he had and what they could add to it. Caleb made sure to schedule his big show for the afternoon, so he could slip out during the after party for their clients and be home with Ray and Reggie in the evening.
And okay, they did talk Reggie down from going Full Spooky as soon as October 1 came around. Instead, he added a little bit every day. A wreath on the door. Some pumpkins on the table. A spooky lawn flamingo in the yard. Some cute ghost-shaped lights on the mantle. An autumn leaf garland on the banister.
And if Ray maybe came home one day to find his entire porch railing covered in tiny plastic pumpkins, all evenly spaced out (with exactly enough room for Pockets to sit between them, because she loved to sit on the porch railing and judge passers-by), all he did was laugh and press a kiss to Reggie’s cheek and ask him if he had a productive day.
They didn’t just indulge him in the decor. Caleb surprised them both with a visit to a real life pumpkin patch, and they spent a day picking out Real Pumpkins (Reggie) taking a million pictures (Ray) and drinking apple cider (Caleb). They watched all the scary (and not so scary) Halloween movies Reggie wanted to, since he was usually vetoed at the shelter. And okay, sometimes even Reggie had to hide his face in Ray’s sweater, but hearing Caleb mutter under his breath about what bad choices the characters on screen were making made the whole thing a lot less scary and a lot more fun.
Caleb had also impressed upon him that Reggie was in charge of the candy. He did that a lot, making something sound like it was a job or a favour when it was really something fun. Still, with the extra encouragement, he kind of went all out. Full. Sized. Candy. Bars. Baby! As well as a separate bowl with cool stuff like erasers, fake moustaches, light-up bouncy balls, fake spiders, fidget spinners, and other cool stuff, for the kids with allergies.
And if maybe he grabbed a bunch of bags of the tiny little fun-sized candy bars for them to snack on, well, Caleb said he was in charge of candy.
Except he’d made one big mistake. Since he’d never really done Halloween as an adult before, he hadn’t realised how tempting all that candy in the house would be. Not the stuff for the kids, of course. Reggie was fully committed to not touching those, so they had enough to hand out to ever single kid that came over.
But those bags with the tiny little bite-sized candy bars? They were calling him, okay? So, on October 29th, he may or may not have gotten out a bag. Just to grab a few of his favourites while he was finishing up decorating. So he grabbed a bunch after he finished putting up the fake spiderwebs outside. And he grabbed some when he added the spooky fake candles on the tables. And after he was completely done for the day, with both decorating and laundry and the dishes and prepping for dinner, well, he deserved to sit down and have a treat, okay? And then Pockets came to sit on his lap, so it wasn’t like he could go anywhere or do anything but eat candy, right?
By the time he heard the front door, Caleb chuckling at the skulls he’d added to the wreath, he’d pretty much finished the bag. And there was no way to hide the evidence before Caleb reached the family room. Tiny wrappers were all over the salon table, and gathering them all up together kind of just made it look worse.
“Well now,” Caleb said, surveying the scene. God, there were candy wrappers on the floor as well.
“Um, hi.” He tried to smile as Caleb pressed a kiss to his temple.
“Hello, pet,” Caleb said. “Did you... did you eat almost that entire bag by yourself?” He sounded kind of incredulous.
Reggie flushed. Of course Caleb was shocked. “I’ll run a few extra miles tomorrow,” he defended, shrinking in on himself a little.
Maybe Reggie did let himself get carried away. Paul had always said he ate more than his fair share, that he was greedy, and here Reggie was proving him right.
The shelter had always warned that they should do their best to look good, so they’d be picked sooner. They’d always grimaced a little when they said it in front of Reggie, because no amount of deep conditioner and squats was going to hide the massive scar on his face. But still, Reggie knew that Caleb and Ray had picked him, at least in part, because of how he looked. They both took really good care of themselves, and here Reggie was, eating an entire bag of candy in one go.
Caleb looked at him, surprised and a little upset. “Kitten, I’m not concerned about your waistline, I’m concerned about you getting a stomach ache,” he soothed.
Oh.
“And a little bit about you throwing up chocolate on my priceless antique rug,” he said, nodding at the floor. Reggie giggled.
“I promise I won’t get sick on your rug,” he said, leaning into a hug when Caleb offered, tucking his head under Caleb’s chin.
“You know that you’re allowed to eat whatever you want, right?” Caleb asked, rubbing his back gently. Reggie nodded. He did know that. Of course he did. It was just that sometimes the stuff Paul said, or worse, the stuff they drilled into all the Omegas at the shelter, got the better of him. “And that we love you no matter what?”
Reggie took a breath. That one was still a little hard to remember sometimes, on his bad days, or when panic set in. Still, he didn’t want to make Caleb sad, so he nodded again.
Caleb hummed, and they sat there for a moment, just curled up together. Then, Caleb pulled away. “Are there any tootsie rolls left in that bag?”

Anything new to share about the Caleb/Ray/Reggie ABO au? You know I will always want to hear more about it 😇
-anotherfantom
I dooo! I was going to put all the snippets on AO3 for Knot In Your Name, but then I realised I had like 15k of fic to edit and I was like: nope, don't have time for that right now.
Also, without the little bullet point list not!fics, the separate fanfics made very little sense, so I decided if I was going to do it, I was going to do it right and make it a little series of interconnected fics like The Care and Feeding Of Dragons series.
I told myself I'd start on it when I finished the foster care au, so naturally I've written like 3000 new words already, to replace the bullet point not!fics.
There's one that sets up the whole universe, which is Reggie meeting Ray and Caleb in the shelter and them picking him.
He was about halfway through, right on the second chorus, when he noticed someone standing in front of him, watching. He flicked his eyes up, and oh. This guy was handsome. Gray hair, kind eyes, broad shoulders... He looked very in shape under that tight white t-shirt. Reggie didn’t falter in his singing, though maybe he breathed in a little deeper than he normally would before the next refrain. The alpha smelled like hot chocolate in front of an open fire, a little smoky, rich, with a hint of spices that Reggie couldn’t place. For a second, he let himself pretend. Pretend that the guy would be interested, that he wouldn’t grimace and leave the second Reggie accidentally moved his chin up too far and revealed the left side of his face. Just for a moment he let himself have butterflies.

I am more than happy to provide if you want prompts for caleb/ray/reggie 😇 how about “it’s a good thing you’re cute”
Part of the Caleb/Ray/Reggie ABO AU.
It's never a good sign when he comes home and the first thing out of Reggie's mouth is: "I can explain!" Either the poor boy had worked himself up into a panic attack over something rather benign (and oh, how Caleb would like to get his hands on Reggie's previous Register for all the damage he's done), or he'd done something, well...
Caleb didn't use the word 'stupid' around Reggie, but there were very few other words that fit. Chaotic, maybe. Impressively damaging.
So he just sighed, took off his coat and hung it up, and raised an eyebrow.
"You weren't supposed to be home yet," Reggie said, fidgeting in front of him, hair covering his scar and fingers twisting together.
"That's not so much an explanation as it is a very worrying start to a conversation, pet," Caleb said, letting his amusement bleed through in his voice so Reggie would know he wasn't mad. Reggie didn't flinch when he pressed a kiss to his cheek, even though he was anxious, which was an improvement Caleb tucked away for later to share with Ray.
Speaking of... "I found some old towels and one of those fake sheep skins, maybe we can use those and entice- Caleb!" His husband stopped, surprised. "You're home!"
Oh, if Ray was in on it, that narrowed down the possibilities immensely. "Where is the creature?" he sighed, taking in Reggie's anxious face and Ray's barely disguised mirth. "And what did they break?"
They lead him upstairs, to the big bedroom. "You remember how you said it was fine if we fostered a cat as long as it actually went home to another family?" Reggie asked. "Well there was this cat at the shelter, she kept bullying the other cats and stealing their food, and she was overweight, so we thought it would be better for her and all the other cats in Room Three if she went somewhere where we could monitor her diet better..."
They stop at the small walk-in closet, and Reggie carefully takes his hand and pulls him inside. There in the corner, on one of his velvet suit jackets, a cat is grooming four squirmy, newly born kittens. "Turns out Big Red wasn't fat, just pregnant," Reggie said nervously. "I'm so sorry, we were trying to make a nice box lined with stuff to lure her off your suit jacket, and I'll take it to the dry cleaners and-"
"I don't think you're supposed to move them once they've given birth," Caleb said, crouching down. It wasn't one of the jackets currently in rotation for his shows. It was, however, very expensive, and very, very ruined.
"Sorry," Reggie said, voice soft and anxious.
"Ms Red," Caleb said, addressing the cat, who looked at him with an unimpressed glare before going back to grooming her kittens. "You have excellent taste."
"You're not mad?" Reggie asked when he stood back up. Ray was hovering in the doorway behind them, watching. He pulled Reggie close and pressed a kiss to his temple. Reggie leaned into the gesture, happily. Ray’s smile grew.
"I'm not mad, pet," Caleb promised. "But we are not keeping four kittens and a cat. We're fostering."
"Maybe one kitten though," Reggie mumbled, and Caleb rolled his eyes as Ray started laughing.
"It's a good thing you're cute," he said, smiling when Reggie grinned brilliantly.
They end up keeping two kittens. Ray teases him mercilessly about how easily he caved.

Hi! Just wanted to let you know I am entirely sold on your caleb/ray/reggie abo au and am thriving on these snippets in it, I absolutely adore them all! It’s a niche I didn’t know I needed, but omega reggie has my heart and he deserves all the love ❤️ If you’re still open to it, I would love this prompt for them? ❛ hold still. this might sting a little. ❜
(Aaah anon I am so happy. Omega Reggie deserves all the love, indeed, and Ray and Caleb are Very Determined to give it to him. So just for you more of the Caleb/Ray/Reggie ABO AU.)
It took Reggie a while to get used to his newfound freedom. After Caleb and Ray sat him down and told him the Rules, he‘d had to fight disbelief. Because stuff like ‘don’t believe the cat and feed her again, she gets fed by Ray at the same time every morning, she’s not starving’ and ‘please leave a note and bring your phone if you’re going out’ were... well, after years with Paul slowly chipping away at his freedom and pushing him in a smaller and smaller box, and the strict schedule and regulations of the Shelter, they were kind of a joke.
But Ray and Caleb had been adamant that the short list of five rules were the only things they cared about. It took him a while to figure out that Ray and Caleb probably only made them up in the first place because Reggie asked for them. Still, something about knowing there weren’t any secret expectations or obligations, no landmines for him to step on, it eased something in his chest.
The first time he realised they were out of milk and that he could just go to the store and get some felt like both the best thing in the world and the most terrifying thing ever. Caleb had giving him a wallet with his own card and some cash, saying he could buy anything he wanted with it and giving him an obscene budget (rule five) per month.
His first time at the store without express permission in over seven years, he bought a jug of milk and a roll of Oreo cookies and never felt more free. He’d held his breath when he swiped the card, waiting for the little beep, before walking out of there with the biggest smile on his face.
It got easier after that. He still liked to do household chores when both Ray and Caleb were working, just to feel like he was contributing. But if there wasn’t anything pressing, sometimes he just sat in the garden with a book, enjoying the fact that there was no hour time limit of Outside Time. He’d play his guitar, serenading Pockets with little songs about her. He even made friends with the old lady across the street, who liked to pinch his cheek and call him a Charming Lad when he helped her carry heavy stuff or clean her gutters.
It became even more natural to leave the house without feeling like he needed permission, or a solid reason when they got Bucket. Of course the dog needed to go walkies. And Bucket didn’t care if they went to the beach, or the dog park, or to get ice cream, as long as he got to sniff stuff and do his business and harass Reggie for scritches every time they had to stop to cross the street.
Except it looked like he finally went to far. Literally. It had seemed like a great idea to take the bus and go to a nice hiking spot. Caleb was working all day in preparation for tomorrow night’s show, and Ray had a long shoot day.
He felt less great about his idea by the second as he tumbled down the steep hill. Especially when he finally managed to stop and realised his phone broke on the way down. Thankfully Bucket seemed okay, and yeah, Reggie was never going to live down that his three-legged dog was more nimble at making his way down than Reggie was.
By the time he got back on the bus, he had twigs in his hair, he was exhausted, and sore, and everything ached. Bucket had had the time of his life, though, and Reggie spent the ride back home bent over, snuggling the pup and avoiding eye-contact.
The second he came through the door, he was pulled into a hug by Ray. “Oh thank god,” he said, pulling Reggie close. Reggie winced, the sudden move hurting like hell, but before Ray could let him go, he wrapped his arms around him. Ray smelled upset, his scent spiky and anxious, but he still smelled like home.
“Where the hell were you, Reginald?” Caleb asked. His scent was sharp, rolling off him in waves, and Reggie whimpered. “We tried calling you several times and you didn’t pick up.”
If Caleb was home, he was definitely late. Like, super late. Stupid LA summers and their stupid late sunsets that made it impossible to tell what time it was. “Phone broke, sorry,” he mumbled into Ray’s shoulder. Then he pulled back, horrified. “Oh god I broke my phone.”
The fancy phone Caleb had gotten him, because it was red and it had a great camera to take fun pictures and so he could call home and be called when he was out. That was definitely in the Rules. He broke the Rules. “I’m sorry...” They’d only given him five and he’d broken one of the most important ones, oh god. “Caleb, I’m so sorry.” His eyes welled up with tears, and immediately, Caleb seemed to calm down, stepping back, his entire posture softening.
“We don’t care about the broken phone, pet,” Caleb said, cupping his cheek. “We were just worried about you. What happened?”
He let Ray guide him to the couch, trying not to wince when he sat down. He knew he looked a mess, dirt on his face and a hole in one of the few pairs of jeans that had been hole-less before, scrapes on his palms and knees. “I um...” he wasn’t quite sure how to say this without making his alphas anxiety worse. Just be cool. Casual. “I kind of fell down a mountain?”
The sudden spike in their scents was very noticeable, and he really should have done a better job thinking about what he was going to say on the way home. Instead, his mind had been swirling with ‘ouch ouch ouch’ and ‘don’t look at me please’ and ‘Bucket is such a good soft boy’ and ‘gotta get home, gotta get home’ and not much else. “We went to a nice hiking trail and I wanted to get a pretty picture of the view to send you... and then Bucket saw a bunny, and he yanked the leash, and I kind of... fell.”
“Oh pobrecito,” Ray said. “Let’s get you cleaned up, okay?” Reggie nodded, because now that he was home, all he wanted was his alphas to take care of him. And thankfully, even though he broke his phone and broke the Rules and made them worry, they seemed to want to do it.
He let Ray and Caleb peel off his clothes, Caleb wrinkling his nose a little and muttering something about maybe finally getting Reggie some Decent Clothes. Ray rolled his eyes, winking at Reggie as he eased his jeans down. Reggie tried to smile back, but it turned into a hiss of pain when the jeans caught over his scraped up knee.
“We need to clean out those wounds,” Ray said, inspecting his knees. “Hold still, this might sting a little.” He pouted but nodded, letting Ray dab at them with a wet cloth. It hurt, and he pressed his face against Caleb’s neck, whining softly. Caleb stroked his hair, muttering reassurances. His scent was slowly going back to normal, less blizzard and more first snow. When Ray moved away to get the first aid kit, he pulled Reggie in his lap.
“I’m sorry I made you worry,” Reggie said, curling into him. “I’m sorry I broke my phone, and I’m sorry I broke the Rules.”
“Oh kitten,” Caleb said. “It was an accident. We’re not going to be upset with you because of an accident. I’m sorry I snapped at you. It’s not an excuse, but I was scared something had happened to you.”
“It’s okay,” Reggie said, snuggling closer. Yeah, Mad Caleb had been kind of scary, but when he thought about it, Reggie realised that he hadn’t actually been that afraid. Not like with Paul. He’d mostly been upset that he broke his phone and made Ray and Caleb worry.
“We’re getting you a better, less breakable phone, though,” Caleb said, smirking and pulling Reggie into a kiss. He went eagerly, deepening the kiss, moaning happily when Caleb slipped his tongue into Reggie’s mouth...
Before gasping and jerking his knee back. “Hey, ow!” he told Ray, who pulled back with the antiseptic wipe looking kind of guilty. He glared back at Caleb. “You did that on purpose to distract me.”
“Perhaps,” Caleb said, looking way too smug about it. “Did it help?”
“Yes,” Reggie huffed. “Do it again.”

Ok so many of these prompts scream caleb/ray/reggie and if I’m honest I haven’t even finished reading through the list yet but I absolutely cannot resist requesting prompt 3 for them please!
The storm had caught him kind of by surprise. He knew it was going to storm later in the day, but the weather app on his phone had been very clear they had two whole hours until the rain started. And since he knew Bucket was afraid of thunder, he wanted to give him an extra long walkies and some good quality ball-chasing time at the dog park, so he'd have gotten some of his energy out.
So when it had started raining five minutes after they got to the dog park, a whole hour and a half earlier than expected, he was annoyed. It was just a light drizzle, though, and Bucket didn't seem to mind, so they kept throwing the ball.
Except then it started raining harder. He'd had to chase Bucket around the field a little to get him back on his leash, and they started the walk back home.
And then the thunder started, and Bucket spooked. He'd kept trying to dash into other people's homes and into coffee shops, until finally Reggie picked him up and stuffed him into his hoodie. He was already soaked anyway, so the wet dog pressed against his t-shirt didn't really matter.
Then the wind picked up. And the lightning flashed. He cuddled Bucket close, keeping up a litany of praise and comfort as he power-walked home, trying not to jostle the poor, shivering pup. He was nearing their neighbourhood when his phone rang, he jazzy ringtone he'd set for Caleb.
"Hey," he picked up, just as the thunder roared.
"Where are you?" Caleb's voice came through the speaker. He sounded concerned. Reggie could hear Ray in the background, trying to find his car keys.
"Don't worry, I'm almost home," he soothed his worried Alphas. "Don't tell Ray his keys are under the mail, and I bet you I'll be home before he finds them."
"Sassy," Caleb muttered approvingly. Lightning flashed in the distance. "Are you sure you don't need us to come get you?"
"I'm passing Franklin as we speak," Reggie said. Bucket whined. "I know buddy, we're almost home."
By the time he got home, Ray was waiting on the porch with some towels, apparently having been told to stop looking for his keys. "Where's..." he started, before his eyes landed on the squirming ball in Reggie's hoodie. "Alright, I'll take the dog," he said. Reggie unzipped his hoodie gratefully, glad to see Bucket safe and sound in a nice fluffy towel in Ray's arms.
Before he could even turn, he had his own fluffy towel wrapped around him, Caleb gently wrapping another one over his head. "Oh, they're warm," he said, surprised.
"I put them in the dryer for you," Ray said. Reggie felt his heart flutter. Ray and Caleb had been worried about him, but had trusted him when he said he didn't need them to come get him. Instead, they'd focused all that nervous Alpha energy on... making sure he'd be cozy when he came home.
"Thank you," he said, leaning over to kiss Ray, laughing into the kiss at the bonus doggy kisses he got from Bucket along his jaw.
"Let's get you inside and out of these wet clothes," Caleb said. He let himself be lead inside, Ray setting Bucket down and singing the little 'dry the dog' song Reggie had come up with. Caleb very much did not sing along, but he was gently rubbing Reggie's hair dry with the towel along with the beat, so Reggie was counting it as a win anyway.
He toed off his soggy sneakers and slipped off his soggy hoodie, hanging it on the coat rack and biting his lip as it dripped on the floor. That wasn't good.
"I got it," Ray soothed. "Go upstairs and get dry."
He went up the stairs on wet squelchy socks, Caleb following him to their bedroom. He helped Reggie take his shirt off, which he didn't actually need help with, but feeling Caleb's warm fingers skim his cool, clammy skin was kind of nice. The wet skinny jeans were a different story, because that was very much a two-man job. In the end, they managed, Reggie breathlessly giggling as he toppled over onto the bed, Caleb staggering back with the offending wet denim.
He grinned, sitting back up and slipping off his socks and underwear, enjoying the way Caleb's eyes roamed over him. Half of it was concern, but the other half... well, Reggie got to preen a little, okay? He quickly toweled off, while Caleb turned to rummage through the closet.
He grabbed some dry underwear, snagging Ray's sweatpants off the chair in the corner of the bedroom. They were too big on him, so he tied the waistband off tightly. He liked how they pooled around his ankles, and how they smelled like Ray. When he looked up, Caleb was offering him a soft, deep purple sweater. It was one of the ones he'd gotten after Reggie had just come to live with them, in what Reggie now knew had been a tiny fit of envy at Reggie stealing Ray's clothes and not Caleb's.
He gratefully put it on, enjoying the softness and the subtle smell of Caleb, as he buried his nose in the collar for a moment. Then, he wrapped his arms around Caleb's neck. "Thank you."
"Let's get you warm," Caleb said, smiling and wrapping him up in a hug. "I'm sure we can get Ray to make his special hot chocolate as well."
"Sounds like a plan."
He ended up curled on the couch between his two Alphas, cozy under a blanket, a mug of Ray’s hot chocolate warming up his hands and his insides. Bucket was curled up under the coffee table at their feet, with Pockets grooming him thoroughly. Reggie couldn’t help but think how lucky he was, how this was everything he’d ever wanted and more.
“I love you,” he said to the room at large.
“We love you too,” Ray said, nuzzling into his damp hair, while Caleb squeezed him closer.
Yeah, he was the luckiest guy in the universe.

And to offer some more variety if you want different options… I’d love 20 for caleb/ray/reggie
ANON YOU HAVE NO IDEA how much I hoped someone would prompt me this exact prompt.
Reggie woke up alone, and deep in the pit of his stomach, he knew it was going to be One Of Those Days. He had vague memories of Ray kissing him goodbye, of Caleb chuckling and gently prying him off with a kiss to the temple (probably after at least four 'five more minutes').
When he used to be with Paul, One Of Those Days inevitably ended in screaming, in Paul throwing things, or worse. At the shelter, it wasn't usually that bad, but they were days he tried to stay away from the café. He'd rather cut himself peeling potatoes for dinner than have another visitor cringe away, or worse, laugh at him when they saw his scar.
Things were different now, he told himself, willing himself to get out of bed. He was safe, and happy, and he wasn't going to let One Of Those Days ruin things. He had stuff he needed to get done, he’d just have to power through. Surely he couldn’t fuck up so bad Ray or Caleb yelled at him. Right?
Except when he took Bucket to the dog park, he stepped in a big pile of dog poop. And after he'd cleaned off his shoes when he got home, he stepped in a hair ball Pockets had left him. He hopped on one foot back to the kitchen, wiping it clean before cleaning up the hair ball as well. He checked on Pockets, who seemed to sense it was One Of Those Days and swatted at him from the top of her cat tower. So Reggie decided, fuck it, he was going back upstairs for a nice hot shower.
Of course he tripped on his way up the stairs.
Once he was under the spray of their nice hot shower, taking the time to shampoo and condition his hair, he decided that he was going to counteract this bad day by doing only things that felt good. He’d never tried that before, always too worried about what other people would think or what he was supposed to be doing. It seemed to be working so far, he hadn’t slipped in the shower or gotten soap in his eyes.
So once he got out of the shower and he had himself and his hair wrapped up in a nice, fluffy towel, he went to the bedroom and decided to pick out something nice to wear. His eyes settled on the dark purple cashmere sweater Caleb had worn yesterday, draped over the chair in the corner of the room. Yeah, the sounded nice. He held it up to his face, smiling when he could smell Caleb, but also a hint of Ray on it. They’d been slow dancing in the kitchen last night, Caleb distracting Ray from doing the dishes he’d insisted on doing.
The sweater was big on him, big enough that it fell down over his hips. The shoulders were too wide, the v-neck dipping so the sweater slipped off one shoulder. But it was soft, and it smelled like his alphas, and Reggie loved it. He rummaged through his drawers, trying to decide what to wear with it. Sweatpants might me a little too warm. Would stealing a pair of boxers be weird? Then, his eyes slid over the lacy panties Caleb had gotten him.
Well, he had decided he was only going to do stuff that felt good. And the lace panties definitely made him feel good, and sexy, and cute. So he slipped them on, pleased when you couldn’t actually see them with the sweater. Like a fun, sexy secret just for him. And maybe Ray and Caleb later.
He ended the outfit with some fuzzy socks that clashed spectacularly with the sweater, before combing out and blow drying his hair until it was silky smooth. Then, he went back downstairs. For a moment, he thought about making cookies, but he decided that felt a little bit too much like tempting fate. He didn’t want to have to explain to Ray why his kitchen was burnt down.
Instead, he grabbed his guitar, settling in on his favourite chair, and playing whatever he was in the mood for. He sang his favourite Rose and the Petal Pushers songs, made up a little song about Bucket’s fluffy ears, and even serenaded Pockets in her cat tree while she stared down at him in mild disdain.
After lunch (some heated up leftovers, because he wasn’t about to mess around with knives), he walked Bucket only along his favourite route, read a book, watched some TV, and then took a nap. Pockets decided he’d broken the curse enough to come curl up on his lap as he slept, which he took as a good sign.
He was mid-negotiation with Pockets about being allowed to get up (she wasn’t budging, and Reggie wasn’t about to break the rule of Cat On Lap, even if he did kind of want a glass of water), when Pockets suddenly bolted off him (ow) to dramatically start meowing at the door.
“Traitor,” he muttered, getting up anyway to greet Ray at the door with a kiss, Pockets weaving around their ankles.
“Hey,” Ray said, putting down his bag of gear and wrapping his arms around him, smiling into the kiss. “Did you have a good day?”
“I think I made it one,” Reggie said, pleased with himself. He’d beaten the curse. This day could only get better now, not worse. He didn’t even think about worrying when he used Caleb’s fancy coffee maker to make Ray a coffee, getting himself a glass of water and snuggling in on the couch while he asked Ray all about his shoot.
They stayed snuggled like that long after the coffee was finished, Ray’s hand drifting into his hair, as he told Ray about his own day. Ray didn’t laugh at him when he explained his reasoning, just nodded and kissed him and told him he was glad Reggie had managed to have a nice day.
Which just lead to more kisses, because Reggie needed some way to show Ray how much he appreciated him. Paul would have been furious to learn Reggie did nothing useful all day, but Ray just seemed happy he’d had a good day and had taken care of himself. He didn’t know how to explain that without making Ray upset, though, so he just kissed him. And kissed him some more. And maybe straddled him on the couch so they could keep kissing.
Ray certainly didn’t seem to mind, hand drifting to Reggie’s hips where the sweater had bunched up, sliding underneath it... and pulling back when his fingers found the lacy fabric of Reggie’s panties.
He gave a bashful smile. “Told you I decided to wear only nice things today,” he said, trying to keep from blushing harder when Ray’s fingers danced along the edges of the lace.
“Well,” Ray murmured happily against his lips, nuzzling at his jaw, kissing down his neck. “It will certainly help your day end very, very nicely, if you want.”
Reggie took a deep breath, enjoying the way Ray’s scent was changing, becoming richer, spicier. Well, he had promised himself to only do what he wanted today. And right now...
“I want.”

Thinking Thoughts today about ABO AU Reggie and Clothes.
-When Paul became his Register, he either wore what Paul decided, or what he still had left from high school. If he bought new clothes and Paul was in a bad mood, he’d get berated for wasting money. If he didn’t buy new clothes and Paul was in a bad mood, he’d get berated about not making an effort for his alpha.
-At the shelter, they didn’t really have their own clothes. Everything was just heaped together and washed, and then they grabbed it from big communal piles. Reggie quickly realised that with his gross-ass, still-healing cut on his face, nobody was going to be interested in him anyway, so he offered to wear the most ugly clothes people donate so the others wouldn’t have to.
-It became kind of a joke, every time they get in one of those weird shirts with ridiculous text or an ugly print, HEY REGGIE YOU GOT ANOTHER SHIRT. He didn’t mind, because joking with his friends was better than thinking about how he was going to be stuck in the shelter for the rest of his life.
-When someone leaves the shelter they’re allowed the clothes on their back + one change of clothes. The people in the laundry room always made sure that the change of clothes were The Worst Items We Have So Nobody Has To Wear Them Anymore.
-Caleb, when Reggie comes home with them, is secretly Very Worried that was his actual taste. Their new omega is wearing a ‘women want me fish fear me’ shirt and cargo shorts, and all he packed was a pair of acid wash jeggings that are bedazzled on the ass and a shirt declaring he was Team Bride.
-Reggie admits that they’re not really his style, but there’s not a lot of options at the shelter. (He’s too scared to say they sent him away with ugly clothes on purpose in case it makes his new alphas annoyed.)
-Caleb is annoyed, but not at Reggie. He wants to drag Reggie to a nice boutique right the heck now, but Ray stops him when he sees how overwhelmed Reggie already is and promises to pick him up a few things at Target.
-Ray gets him some basic jeans, underwear and socks, some black and white t-shirts, a nice soft pair of sweatpants and a cozy sweatshirt. Also a shirt with a cat on it, because he saw how excited Reggie was to meet Pockets.
-Of course Reggie loves the cat shirt, and Caleb only despairs a little on the inside.
-Reggie quickly starts ‘borrowing’ Ray’s old flannels. First just when they’re both out for work, but one day he forgets to take it off before Ray gets home. Ray just smiles and kisses his cheek and doesn’t say anything mean about it, so Reggie takes that as permission.
-Ray’s Henleys are his next target. This is a bigger risk, because while Ray rarely wears the flannels, he does wear the henleys a lot. His favourite is a sage green one that’s very soft. He may put it at the top of the pile every time after washing it so Ray will wear it (so he can steal it the next day when it smells like him).
-Yes, Caleb starts dressing down and buying Very Soft Things around this time in the hopes that Reggie will steal some of his clothes.
-He also makes sure Reggie knows that the credit/debit card he gave him can be used to buy anything he wants, not just groceries or things Pockets needs. He can buy some clothes that are more his style.
-Reggie does go out and buy some underwear that’s more his preference. He’s a little worried Ray will be offended, but of course he isn’t.
-Emboldened by that, he buys some cute socks with dogs on them the next time he’s out. Nobody is mad. In fact, Ray compliments them. Then, some proper running shoes, shorts, and a tank top. Still no comment.
-So Reggie settles into the idea that he really is allowed to buy whatever he wants with his card. He gets himself a treat while shopping sometimes, a little cupcake or a super sweet coffee drink. He buys a second pair of cozy sweatpants. He still mostly steals Ray’s shirts, but he gets a nice burnt orange sweater that’s on sale and very, very soft.
-And then one day, he sees a dress in the window of a little boutique that he just knows would be perfect for Aimee from the shelter. So he buys it. And then he realises, he could get all his friends some nice clothes. Caleb’s always reminding him can buy whatever he wants and that he never gets anywhere near the end of his budget. (Is it really a budget if Reggie can’t imagine spending that much money in a month?)
-So maybe he goes all out and gets some nice, not-ugly, fun clothes. He goes to the little boutique and buys a bunch of pretty dresses and skirts and tops in different sizes and styles. He gets some nice button ups and some decent jeans and soft sweaters and decent quality shirts and cool hats okay, maybe he also slips in one ridiculous t-shirt with a skateboarding dinosaur just because.
-He doesn’t dare go inside the café-part of his old shelter. He’s too scared his friends will be mad that he got picked when they have not. That they’ll think he’s rubbing it in, that he got out and he has Money now. So instead, he puts everything in a big bag, ties it up with a little bow and a card that says CLOTHES DONATION... and chucks it over the fence of the Outdoor Area at the back on one of his early morning jogs and runs away.
-He is feeling pretty good about all of this, until Caleb looks up from his monthly budgeting and asks if they can talk.
-Reggie immediately feels his heart stuck in his throat. He spent too much. Even though he didn’t max out his budget, Caleb thinks he’s spent too much and he is going to be mad. He tries to keep himself under control, keep his scent under control, but Caleb’s nostrils flare and he get up and Reggie squeezes his eyes shut...
And Caleb just crouches down in front of him and gently takes his hands.
“I’m not mad,” he says. “You’re okay. You’re safe here. Nobody is going to hurt you, or yell. Take a breath for me, alright?”
He takes a deep breath, and when he opens his eyes, Caleb looks concerned. His scent is soothing, and calm, and not mad at all.
“I just wanted to check if you made this purchase,” he says slowly. “Or if someone cloned one of my cards and I need to report it. Georgie’s Dresses?”
“That’s mine,” he whispers, unable to stop himself from hunching in on himself, hair falling over his face.
“Kitten, if you want to wear dresses, you don’t have to hide them from us,” Caleb says, his thumb gently stroking Reggie’s hand. “I’m sure you look beautiful in them.”
Oh. Reggie almost wants to cry and the sincere words, and he falls into Caleb and hugs him tight. Caleb of course catches him, holding him close and stroking his hair gently.
“They’re not for me,” he admits after a while. “I- they- I saw a dress one of my old friends would just die for, so I bought it. And then... then I bought some more stuff. Because I get to have all these nice things now, and they’re stuck with whatever people donate, and I just...”
“That’s very kind of you,” Caleb says. He hadn’t been upset when Reggie carefully asked if he could use some of his allowance - his budget - to set up a recurring donation to the animal shelter. Of course he wouldn’t be mad if he wanted to spend some of that money on helping out his old friends. “Next time we declutter, we’ll be sure to donate whatever you think is best to there as well, alright?”
Reggie smiles, nodding. He doesn’t think Jeff or Antonio or most of the guys would be too happy wearing some of Caleb’s old Hollywood Ghost Club suits, but who knew. Maybe Miles would. He was always fashionable and he loved sparkles.
-When they’re settled on the couch later that evening, the budget all squared away, Reggie looks up from fiddling with one of Ray’s bracelets.
“Do you really think I’d look pretty in a dress?” he asks, willing his voice to stay steady.
“Breathtaking,” Caleb says, looking up from his book.
“You look pretty in whatever makes you happy, tesoro,” Ray says, pressing a kiss to his temple. “You could definitely rock a nice dress.”
Reggie smiles, snuggling into Ray’s side a little more. Maybe he’d go shopping some time.

I had a bad day so you all get more self-indulgent Caleb/Ray/Reggie ABO AU fluff.
-Caleb is constantly torn between Wanting To Spoil The Shit Out Of Reggie and his cheap-ass taste. He’d never actually tell Reggie that, of course, but deep down it pains him a little that he knows Reggie will light up more over a little plastic pumpkin than over a rolex. He finally found a decent middle ground with Ray ‘It’s the Thought that Counts’ Molina, and now this?
So when he finds Reggie in their bedroom, gently rubbing one of Caleb’s silk shirts between his fingers, he is like YES. Not just because he is Extremely Jealous of Reggie walking around in Ray’s old flannels and henleys, but also because this is the perfect opening.
So of course he asks Reggie if he likes what he sees and Reggie immediately starts to apologise. But Caleb just tells him of course he can take whatever he wants from Caleb’s closet he’s been buying extra soft shirts for months now to entice him.
Insert a scene here that is full of Sexual Tension where Caleb slips one of his silk shirts onto Reggie. He does up all the buttons, rolls the cuffs, smooths down the collar and smirks when he smells Reggie’s scent change in his arousal. He gets Reggie to agree to come with him to his tailor so he can get a properly fitted shirt and suit.
(Yes the tailor 100% calls Caleb on his bullshit when he does Reggie’s cuffs etc again and Reggie goes all flustered again.)
-Dumb ABO worldbuilding trope that I like is when scents are really complicated. Betas can’t smell them, and omegas and alphas can’t really smell their own scents unless they really focus, because they get scent-blind to their own scents.
Ray is always smoky, warm, and sometimes rich and chocolatey scents. (In my head his baseline like the smokey note of a lush Soak and Float shampoo bar.) Caleb is always icy and cold things: fresh snow, ice cold streams, etc.
In general, omegas are usually more sweet-smelling. In popular culture, it’s a massive stereotype and beauty standard. Paul was always a dick about how Reggie didn’t smell sweet and he was very  self-conscious about it. So one night he asks Ray what he smells like when Ray is snuggling with him and very clearly nuzzling at his scent glands, all happy.
And Ray is like: ... okay but promise you won’t get upset?
And Reggie of course immediately spirals like: they hate my scent I should be sweeter. And he tells Ray he can start wearing perfume if they want, or using scent-blocking soap. And Caleb looks up horrified like: don’t you dare.
And Ray admits that he thinks Reggie smells like a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Rich and warm and like spices. But he wasn’t trying to imply Reggie smells like (insert Ray awkwardly doing airquotes here) “a basic bitch”. (He knows memes, okay! Sometimes! He heard Flynn say it once!)
And Caleb is all: really? I think it’s more like pumpkin pie.
And Reggie is so mad at Paul because fuck you that sounds AMAZING he smells AMAZING and he is so pleased with himself.

When I told you that blouse for the ABO AU Reggie style moodboard was driving me insane I meant it.
Also ft Ray’s Henley and Caleb’s merino-alpaca-silk sweater. (And pumpkin socks.)

❛ i couldn’t stop missing you if i tried. ❜ + Writer's Choice?
(I tried this prompt with so many pairings but the one that stuck was the Caleb/Ray/Reggie ABO AU, sorrynotsorry.)
When Ray left for a two week shoot on the other side of the country, he'd been a bit worried about Reggie. They'd both been, even if they tried not to show it. It should fall pretty much between his heats, which had been getting lighter and more predictable now that he'd been off suppressants for six months. Still, it would be the first time he'd be without one of his alphas for an extended period of time, so they worried. Not in front of Reggie, of course, but still.
Caleb didn't kid himself, he was well aware that Ray was Reggie's favourite. His preferred source of comfort, his preferred heat partner. The one he instinctively sought out during the night, nose finding Ray's neck when he had a bad dream. He didn't blame the man, of course. Ray was his favourite person too.
So if maybe Caleb spoiled Reggie a little those first few days, well, Ray wasn't there to roll his eyes at him. They ordered sushi and watched trashy reality TV together, the shows that Ray hated, and snarked at the screen. He surprised Reggie with a fancy bath bomb, knowing how much he liked the occasional luxurious bath. On his day off, he took Reggie shopping, and then to dinner at a nice bistro overlooking the beach.
Of course, Reggie wasn't stupid, and he caught on to what Caleb was doing almost immediately. When he showed up after work with Reggie's favourite ice cream, the young man had just kissed his cheek and told him that Caleb didn't need to worry so much. He was fine.
He did seem to be in good spirits. He still spammed the group chat with pictures of Pockets and any cute dog he came across during his walks and errands. He seemed cheerful enough when Caleb came home, sometimes already working on dinner, other times curled up with a book or his guitar. Sometimes napping on the couch, cat purring on his chest (or on his face. How Reggie slept like that, Caleb would never understand.)
When Ray managed to call in the evenings, with his busy schedule, they crammed together on the sofa to talk to him, Reggie often curling up in his lap to 'make it easier for him to see both of us'. If he didn't move after Ray had to go, well, Caleb wasn't going to mention it if Reggie wasn't, simply curling an arm around his waist and settling in as Reggie queued up another episode of Hotter than my Daughter.
So he stopped worrying. And then things at work got hectic. One of his dancers twisted her ankle, and her understudy was woefully unprepared, and then his truffle guy flaked, and there was the mess with the costumer...
So maybe he was home late a night or two. Or three. He always made sure to update Reggie on time, so he wasn't stuck preparing dinner for two. (He still did, knowing Caleb would sometimes forget to eat. Coming home to a note taped to the banister in the hallway that there was a plate in the fridge he just needed to heat up made Caleb chest twist with affection, and he always made sure to thank Reggie in the morning for his thoughtfulness.)
Night four of being home late, a night he'd actually remembered to grab a bite in the kitchen after the show before retreating to his office to e-mail a dozen different people, he carefully plucked the note off the banister and made his way upstairs. As usual, Reggie was already asleep in their bed, but Caleb stopped when he noticed tear tracks on his cheeks glistening in the light of the hallway. He carefully crept closer, not making a sound, noticing how Reggie was curled up with one of Ray’s sweatshirts pressed against his nose.
“Oh kitten,” he whispered, running his hand through Reggie’s hair. “I miss him too.”
He sent Ray a quick text to see if he was still up. He knew that when away on work, Ray was just as much of a night owl as he was. Probably because he just didn’t want to go to bed alone. Ray texted back a quick affirmative, saying he was still going through the photos of today’s shoot, so Caleb called him.
“Hey, handsome,” Ray said when he picked up, his voice like warm honey. Caleb smiled, carefully slipping out of the bedroom and to the guest bath. He didn’t want to wake Reggie by using the master. “Miss me?”
“Darling, I couldn’t stop missing you if I tried,” Caleb responded, wedging the phone between his ear and shoulder as he combed the product out of his hair. “Our boy misses you, too.”
“Is he okay?” Immediately, Ray sounded concerned.
“No, but he will be. I’ll make sure of it,” Caleb promised. “Speaking of which, what’s your shoot time tomorrow?”
“Not until noon,” Ray said.
“I was thinking breakfast in bed,” he said. “You order room service, I’ll make Reggie something, and we surprise him with a nice long video call.” He’d e-mail his assistant to clear his morning. Fuego could take over training the understudy, and it wasn’t like the costumes would magically suddenly be fixed just because he was in the office that day.
“That sounds amazing,” Ray sighed. “I wish I was home.”
“Soon, dear,” Caleb said. They talked a little more as Caleb undressed and brushed his teeth, Ray mostly filling him in on his day while Caleb made listening noises around the toothbrush.
“Go cuddle our omega,” Ray said fondly once he was done. “I love you.”
“I love you too, dearest,” he said, regretfully hanging up. When he got to the bedroom, Reggie was still curled up, so he carefully slid under the covers, pressing against his back and gently resting his hand on the man’s hip.
“Goodnight, pet,” he whispered, burying his nose in Reggie’s hair. Reggie sighed happily, pulling Caleb’s arm over his waist before relaxing again. He promised silently that he’d make it up to the man, be a better alpha to him. No more late nights. No more missing dinner. And tomorrow, he’d start with chocolate chip pancakes in bed, and a nice long video call to their favourite person.

So @jatp-spinsb wrote me this lovely Halloween-ish ficlet about The Caleb/Ray/Reggie ABO AU’s Reggie’s love of Halloween, and I love it so much. And it unlocked so many headcanons I thought it deserved its own post.
-So, Reggie loves Halloween. Like, loves it. It was the only holiday growing up that wasn’t mired in drama and fights, because it wasn’t focused so much on Being The Perfect Family. Especially once his parents decided he was old enough and just let him roam the streets alone with his friends. (Which was... way younger than most parents would.)
-He loves the pumpkins, and the black cats, and the ghosts (both cute and spooky) and just the entire vibes. He loves scary movies, especially now that he can curl up against Ray or Caleb and hide his face against them when it gets very scary. (Ray jumps just as much as Reggie. Caleb pretty much never jumps, and will mutter insults about how stupid the protagonists are under his breath.)
-October first, Reggie breaks out the puppy eyes. Ray and Caleb negotiate him down to adding a little bit of Halloween decor every week, and not going Full Spoopy all at once. They start with some Tasteful Gourds. Maybe a nice wreath for the door.
-Yes, the tiny pumpkins start popping up all over the house.
-Like the ficlet said, Caleb is Very Pleased when he realises how he can best spoil Reggie. Even if he is a little like: I wanted to buy him a rolex, but I guess a *checks amazon* zombie lawn flamingo will have to do. One day, he will get Reggie interested in the finer things in life.
-Imagine Ray and Caleb taking Reggie to a real pumpkin patch and he just... nearly vibrates out of his skin. They get two nice big pumpkins for carving, some cute small ones to dot around the porch, a hot slice of apple pie and some Pumpkin Spice Lattes and apple cider. Ray takes his camera and just takes... so many pictures. Yes Caleb’s phone screen is now a slideshow of Ray and Reggie at the pumpkin patch.
-When Reggie realises this is the kind of neighbourhood that does trick or treating, he is so excited. He doesn’t even feel bad for using his credit card to buy a ton of candy so they can be the House That Gives Out Full Sizes Candy Bars. He also gets some cute little Halloween themed trinkets and stuff like erasers, cool pens, yo-yos and fake spiders, because he remembers his childhood best friend having to give away half his candy at the end of the night because of his peanut allergies.
-Ray and Caleb agree to dress up, even though they’re staying home and handing out candy. Caleb only has an afternoon show once he learns that Halloween is a Big Deal for Reggie.
-They ask Reggie what he wants to be, and he asks them if it’s okay if it’s a surprise. Which, of course. So they all agree to surprise each other with their costumes. Ray starts getting suspicious when Caleb stops shaving a few days before Halloween, because he knows the man likes to be clean-shaven. (Caleb is a little shit and is like: I have no idea what you’re talking about.)
-Ray decides to dress up as Han Solo because 1) he’s always wanted to 2) to see Reggie go all flushed. Which he does.
-Reggie comes out and he’s dressed as a Sexy Cat. Except he added some tights and fuzzy leg and arm warmers as well, because he wants to be a sexy cat that is also warm and child-friendly enough to hand out candy. “Get it?” he says, sidling up to Caleb. Caleb of course is highly amused his kitten is now an actual kitten. (And he has Plans for when the trick or treating part of the evening ends.)
-Then Caleb disappears into the bedroom. And when he comes out, Ray is half-annoyed, half-turned on. Because Caleb is wearing one of his flannels. And his jeans. And some big boots. And a beanie that Ray is also pretty sure belongs to him. Listen, he loves it when Reggie wears his clothes, but seeing his husband in them is new and exciting and... wow.
-“Oh my god, you’re a sexy lumberjack!” Reggie shouts, beaming.
“I was just going for ‘lumberjack’, but alright, kitten,” Caleb says, looking smug.
-Yes there are Many Sexy Times once the trick or treating if over.
