Together we go. (Werewolf!Caesar Raphael x Reader *AU*)
Tumblr media
Lol it's never late to request I'm always late to write tho
Requested: 34. "Please don't do this." + 45. "I can't imagine this world without you." From this prompt list.
Genre: Raw angst 😂💯 happy ending though cuz I’m weak
Strap yourselves in cuz this is dramatic as shit and also I’m lowkey rusty sooooo yeah 😂
(First point of view)
Everytime our eyes meet, my insides twist in guilt. I can barely hold his gaze for longer than a few seconds.
“Can we please get some ice cream first?” Caesar gives me his usual puppy eyes- aka the most effective puppy eyes one could ever encounter. I can almost see his tail wagging behind him in excitement.
I giggle at the cute nature of the scene. “Of course.”
He grins, immediately grabbing my arm and rushing to the ice cream truck. I do my best to keep up with him and not break my face on the asphalt.
It was Caesar’s first time at a theme park, and he was overflowing with happiness to say the least; he genuinely resembled a large puppy.
Though Caesar always insists that the puppy/dog comparisons I make are only because I knew of his identity, I'm pretty sure it's way beyond the fact that he's a werewolf. Caesar just behaves like an oversized puppy, whether he believes it or not.
"Mmhm! It's so good!" Caesar's eyes widened at the sweet flavour of his chocolate ice cream. Part of me was worried he'd collapse and I'd have to rush him to the hospital, but from the looks of it, werewolves can apparently eat chocolate. "How's yours?" He smiled at me. God that smile kills me.
"O-oh, it's nice!" I took the spoon into my mouth, unnecessarily trying to prove my statement.
His stare lingered, but before I could ask him about it, he sheepishly spills out a question. "Can I..um..can I try it?" He pointed to the paper cup in my hand.
Giggling in awe, I immediately scooped up the ice cream into my plastic spoon. "Sure." I moved my hand closer to him, expecting him to take the spoon, but instead, he leaned his head closer, taking the spoon into his mouth directly. My cheeks heat up at the small gesture, and I subconsciously start looking around to make sure we haven't attracted anyone's attention.
"Oh! It's really good too! What is this one?" Caesar's eyes gleam in fascination, as if discovering a whole new world, which in a way he was. He'd already explained how strict the pack is about interacting with humans and their world, hence his isolation from the pack after violating that rule. To be with me. And there I was, refusing to give up my group's approval.
"(Y/N)? Why do you keep zoning out today? Is something wrong?" His eyebrows furrow in concern, further engraving the guilt onto my heart.
"I'm just a little tired; don't worry about it." I do my best to give him a reassuring smile, but I suspect that only made him even more worried. "Come on, let's get in line for the ferris wheel." I pull him towards the giant ride.
Caesar stares upwards, "Woah."
"You're not scared of heights, are you?" I smile.
"I've never been that high before," he points to the top of the wheel, "but it does look a bit scary."
"Don't worry; it'll be fun." I take his hand in mine, giving it a small, reassuring squeeze.
By the time we reach the front of the line, we were both done with our ice cream and were just anticipating the ride.
The blond helps you onto the wobbly cabin and climbs inside after you're seated.
The second the small doors shut behind him, the colourful cabin moves upwards, causing Caesar to lose balance. He screams and drops to the ground, curling into a ball in fear.
I softly place a hand on his shoulder, "Caesar, it's fine. It...does that." I chuckle.
His expression softens. Sure enough, he lets me help him off the floor and onto the seat, where he's finally able to take a look at the view beneath us.
His beautiful green eyes widen in admiration, "It's not scary at all. It's very...pretty...just like you." He turns to smile at me, but I immediately avert my gaze shyly.
He takes my hand in his, "I love being with you; you make me happy."
The sincere look in his eyes drew me in, and before I knew it, my bottom lip starts quivering. "I- yeah, me too."I gulp, gluing my eyes elsewhere. I could no longer hold his gentle gaze.
Silence follows for a few moments.
Softly taking place beneath my chin, fingertips guide my face towards their owner, "(Y/N)? Why won't you look at me?" His concerned gaze almost burns holes in my face.
I let out a nervous laugh and take his hand in mine, "What do you mean? I'm just enjoying the view. Look; you can see the ocean from here!"
Caesar forces a weak smile, "Yeah, it's nice."
________
"(Y/N), are you sure we're not lost? I can't hear any cars ahead of us..." After walking through the woods for a bit, Caesar starts getting suspicious about whether we're actually using a shortcut to the bus station.
Hesitation and guilt take turns abusing my mind and heart. "Y-yes, Caesar. Just keep following me." I try to control my breathing rate and calm down.
The closer I get to the spot, the heavier my feet feel, the harder it is to push myself forward. "I can't do this." I drop to the ground and pull out my pocket knife.
"What do you mea-(Y/N), what the fuck are you doing?!" His statement was cut off by his own terrified yell. He drops to the ground and tries to pull away my weapon.
Having already dug the sharp edge into my forearm, I was disappointed by how difficult it is to actually find the tracking device. "Tracking device, Caesar! They'll find us; I need to take it out!" I kick the blond away, as I continue to search through my own flesh for the tiny device. The pain was unbearable, but it wouldn't compare to losing Caesar.
Blood dripped everywhere, making it even harder to see. "Fuck." I pant.
"It's not working." Tears hinder my vision, "Caesar, get out of here! As quick as you can!" The confusion on his face screamed in my face that it's my fault- all of it. "Please..." my voice cracks.
"No, (Y/N), I'm not going anywhere without you. Who are we running from? What's wrong? You know you can tell me anything!" He snatches the knife away and stuffs it in his pocket, the blood making a mess of his clothes in the process.
I push him away with my uninjured arm, "There's no time; please, just leave." Desperation hung at every word, yet he remained unmoved.
"Get up. We're leaving together." He tries to help me up, but I pull my arm away.
"They'll track us down, Caesar! The device is still in there!" I yell. "Please, I'm begging you; just leave before it's too late." I push him again, but he doesn't budge.
"(Y/N), we either leave together or die together; I'm not going anywhere without you whether you like it or not." The serious expression on his face is one I've never seen on him before; he's determined and stubborn, and I knew it.
I shake my head, "No, Caesar, you don't understand; I-"
"Was supposed to kill me, but you felt guilty; I know." He finished my statement, leaving me in a state of shock and shame.
"How- what? You know?" Realizing his lack of resistance, I fall into more confusion, "Well...why did you follow me here? You didn't know I'd feel guilty; I could've killed you!"
"But you didn't." Smirking, he shrugs.
"Caesar, I'm serious..." I stare at him with pleading eyes.
He sighs, "Well, I figured if the person I love the most wants to kill me then that's it; that's how I go."
"You came with me knowing you'll die?!" I cry.
"Well, I had hope you'd change your mind; I knew the love I'd felt with you wasn't fake. I felt your love...And well, I dunno about you humans, but wolves don't go killing wolves they love." He chuckles. "And if you'd killed me, well, I'd still choose that over escaping. I can't imagine this world without you."
"You're such a dumbass." I laugh lightly, but my smile drops at the sight of of something hitting Caesar’s neck.
And before I realize what's happening, He is hyperventilating as he grasps his neck, eyes terrifyingly wide; if I dIdn't know better, I'd think he was choking himself.
I rip out the tiny needle from his neck in panic, but it doesn't stop him from gasping for air, drool trickling down his chin uncontrollably. His eyes start to roll back, but he seems to be trying to hold onto what's left of his conscious mind, "Caesar! Caesar, stay with me!" Sobbing, I begin to shake him violently, but it takes mere moments before he drops to the ground.
The sound of footsteps slowly approaching hammers realization into my terrified brain, "W-why?"
"Girl, he's not dead yet; he's temporarily paralyzed." Kate rolls her eyes, but a warning follows through gritted teeth, "We're making the killing easier for you, so don't make this any harder for us."
"He's not a monster..." I shake my head, desperately pleading for his life, "He doesn't even belong to a pack; he's harmless!"
"Take out your knife, (Y/N)." She warns while the rest of the hunters watch me expectantly.
I look down at Caesar, whose eyes barely held any life in them. No way is he getting up any time soon, and my left arm has already gone limp. We stood no chance. This is it; this is how we die. And it's all my fault.
More warnings follow, but my eyes spot a tall man hiding nearby; he was clearly watching the conflict unfold.
When our eyes met, he put his index finger to his lips, telling me to keep quiet, which I do. I was gonna die anyway; I have nothing to lose, listening to random forest man.
Smirking at my obedience, he gracefully spreads his hand open in the direction of the hunters.
Within a second, they all drop their weapons to clutch their head in their hands, blocking their ears like they couldn't stand a very loud sound. A loud sound you can't hear.
Eventually they all fall to the ground, hands still covering their ears. That's when the stranger decides to step out of his hiding spot.
He slowly makes his way towards me and Caesar. I don't know if it's the blood I've lost or the intense gaze of the man, but everything begins spinning before going completely black.
________
"Did you hear me?! I said shoot him!" Kate screams.
Confusion consumes my every inch, "W-what?"
"Are you deaf?" She holds up her gun, aiming at my head. "Shoot him."
I slowly turn to look at where she motioned with a slight tilt of her chin. My shaky hands were clutching a gun aimed at a terrified Caesar on the ground. "Caesar?"
"Please, don't do this." Trembling, he shakes his head. "I love you. I would never hurt you; you know that." His teary eyes were hypnotizing; I couldn't look away for a reason I couldn't explain. I just stood still- and stared.
“I...I don’t understand...” I lower the gun I knew I didn’t even have on me before.
“Please, I’m begging you.” Caesar pleads.
I observe my surroundings in utter bewilderment. The number of hunters bacame overwhelmingly threatening; I didn’t know there were that many of them. So many faces I couldn’t recognize.
Before I could plan my next move, the sound of a gun shot rips through the air.
My head snaps towards Caesar. His fear-stricken, watery eyes stare back into mine lifelessly.
My lips quiver, as I scan his body for the wound.
Till I found it where I didn’t expect to.
Hot, thick liquid trickles down my face, blurring my vision in the process. My fingers reach for my forehead, allowing me a chance at comprehending the situation.
I’d been shot.
As if the realization was my cue, I watch everything spin out of focus till I completely lose consciousness.
_________
I gasp, immediately shooting out of bed, almost slamming my head against the stranger’s.
“Jeez, the potion sure is quick.” The man mumbles to himself.
“Potion?” I wipe my forehead, just to see a gooey, yellow substance dripping off my fingers. It was a dream?
“(Y/N)!” I find myself engulfed into a warm, tight embrace.
“Caesar.” I breathe out in relief, giving into the hug.
“Wait! The tracking device-” Before I could fully push away Caesar, the man speaks up.
“Already planted it on a rat; it’s gone forever.” He gives a smile I could only interpret as him being proud of his own intelligence.
“I don’t know how to thank you...How do I return the favor? Ask me for anything!”
“It’s a bit funny for you to think I’d need anything from you.” Seemingly offended, the man rolls his eyes and sips his tea.
“He’s a bit...uh...timid?” Caesar whispers to me, hinting he’d already tried to thank the man while I was out of it.
“I already put a healing spell on your arm; there will be no scarring, but I’d rather you keep the bandages for a few more hours.” He glances down at my bandaged arm.
“Thank you...again.” I nod. “A healing spell though...are you a wizard?” My eyebrows furrow in confusion.
The stranger sighs. “Surely you can’t be that dense.”
“I think that’s a yes.” Caesar looks at me in slight uncertainty.
Another sigh. “Azusa Kuze, wizard from Hinomoto, nice to meet you. Anything else you wanna butt into?” He uses a slightly high pitched, cheery voice to ensure we understood he was mocking us.
“Uh, no, we’re good I think.” Caesar chuckles nervously, scratching the back of his head.
“Good.” He diverts his attention to the huge book on his wooden dining table.
“Um, well, I guess we’ll be going now, right, Caesar?”
“Uh, yes. Thank you again, Mr. Hinomoto Wizard Azusa Kuze.” Caesar bows.
The wizard scowls but shakes his head dismissively “Yeah, um, you’re welcome.”
The second we step outside the small cottage, we both let out breaths we didn’t seem to know we were holding.
“Well, that was a strange day.” I state.
“Yeah.” Caesar nods. “Wanna get some more ice cream?”
I grin, “You know it.”

Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters, all rights belong to the game Shall we Date Wizardess Heart
Warning: Shounen-ai
Pairing: Alfonse x Caesar
Summary: Luca plans to prank Caesar, but how bad does it get?
One Shot
"I'm here to do a prank on Caesar today, I'm letting everyone know who is reading this since this is what I will be doing. I'm going to go up to him and tell him that Alfonse no longer loves him." Luca Orlem said towards the distance. "Okay, let's go find Caesar."
Luca started to walk around the campus, but he didn't need to search the whole entire area at least. Since he spotted Caesar near the hallway, so he walked over towards him with a grin on his face.
"Yeah, I think that's what I need to do..." Caesar Raphael said to himself, but didn't notice that Luca was in his hearing range. "Hey, Caesar." Luca Orlem called out to him. "What?" Caesar Raphael asked, as he glanced towards Luca now. "I wanted to tell you something really quick." Luca Orlem said with a grin. "Is it bad?" Caesar Raphael asked now. "I just have something to tell you." Luca Orlem replied. "Okay, just say it." Caesar Raphael said, slightly losing his patience.
"You see... Alfonse no longer loves you, in fact he wants to break up with you." Luca Orlem told him, as he grinned while looking away from him this time. "What? He would have told me that." Caesar Raphael said as he glanced at the ground a little. "Well, he didn't say it. So, what will you do?" Luca Orlem asked him.
But before he could get an answer, Caesar ran off somewhere as Luca shook his head now. Luca seemed to grin again, wondering what Caesar would do now. So, he oddly went to go find out where he went. Meanwhile...
Caesar was hiding in the North Forest behind a lot of trees, as he seemed to watch Alfonse and Leon talking to each other. Though, he was really hurt by what Luca had told him, as he wondered if it was true or not.
"No, I think the others would like to come here sometime." Alfonse Goldstein smiled at Leon. "Okay, thanks Alfonse." Leon said as he smiled. "No problem, that's what friends are for." Alfonse Goldstein stated, as he oddly glanced around the area.
Leon smiled once more as he walked off probably to go to the spring of unicorns, since that was the way he headed. Alfonse sighed to himself slowly, as he glanced towards a bush since it made some noise.
"Alright... is anyone here?" Alfonse Goldstein asked. "It's just me." Caesaer Raphael replied, as he slowly crept out from behind a tree. "What is it?" Alfonse Goldstein asked him. "Is it true?" Caesar Raphael seemed to ask, as he looked towards the ground. "Is what true?" Alfonse Goldstein seemed to ask as he looked at him. "Well... I heard that you no longer love me and want to break up with me." Caesar Raphael said as he even walked closer to him.
"What? That's nonsense, I will never break up with you. Plus I will always love you, Caesar." Alfonse Goldstein said in a calming tone. "I was so worried that it might have been true." Caesar Raphael said as he actually started to cry.
Alfonse didn't say anything else, he just wrapped his arms around Caesar now and let the other man cry against his shirt. Caesar just stayed rather close to him now as he felt Alfonse's love for him, so he knew it wasn't true and that this man did love him very greatly still.

>>>
"Is this color too moody?" You asked your neighbors cat that was lounging in your living room.
The midnight black ball of fur lazily blinked open his eyes long enough to croak out a "meow" before going back to sleep. Your head nodded in agreement as your 5th beer bottle of the day pressed against your lips.
"No, you're right. It's allowed to be moody." You agreed with the very large, very old, cat who always wandered over to your apartment. His owner, Ms. Thompson, gladly let you babysit him for a few days after she came to your door to find him the first night. Your blood shot, tear filled eyes when you answered the door, fully gave away the fact you'd been crying for the last few hours.
A bowl of Tupperware with hot chicken noodle soup laid on your doorstep the next morning along with the first gorgeous bouquet of flowers.
It had been four days since your break up with Harry and Florence. Four days of sleepless nights, alcohol filled days, and meaningless activities to keep your mind off how you were feeling.
Four vases of flowers that you couldn't bring yourself to throw away sat on your cluttered counter. The delicate petals were starting to turn brown around the edges from your lack of care. The notes on each one seemed to glare at you everytime you walked to your fridge to grab another drink.
Each one a variation of, "I'm so sorry. -H"
"When we broke up it was for totally different reasons. I wanted to raise the kids Jewish; you wanted to sleep with men." Debra Messings' voice and the horrible laugh track of 'Will and Grace' filled your lonely apartment. Your comfort show played on repeat. The same jokes, the same voices, the same fucking void in your heart.
It'd be four days and you felt like you were a second away from losing mind.
And sure, maybe, you could have called them. You could have said you overreacted and that you messed up so badly. Instant regret hit you as soon as you had walked out his door.
You'd get over it, get over them but it didn't seem to be as easy as you originally thought.
Everything reminded you of them.
"Love this one." Harry said the last time he'd spend the night with you. Your favorite record played softly in the background when he placed the needle down on it.
"Oh, this is one of my favorite episodes!" Flor cheered as she ran out of your kitchen to the living room at the sound of a 'Friends' episode starting.
"Got yeh this when I was out today." Harry handed you a dumb pen holder. A small Julius Caesar that had pens jetting out of his back.
"Take this before you freeze." Florence mumbled as she moved your blanket slightly off Harry and towards you while you all cuddled in your bed.
Everything that reminded you of them had been boxed off, separated, put away somewhere else until you could look at it again. You were left in an almost barren house that no longer felt like a home, with a cat, that wasn't even yours, sleeping on your coffee table that was littered with empty beer bottles. All while you drunkenly painted your walls at 2 in the afternoon.
How did shit get this bad?
The sound of a knock at your door called you out of your mind. An instant sinking feeling started in your chest as you walked across the floor. The wave of alcohol that ran through your system calmed some of the nerves but not all of them.
They wouldn't show up here, right?
You could feel the sweat starting on your hand as it rested on the doorknob. Another knock came from the other side of the door made you jump in your skin.
"You haven't answered your phone in four days! Open up!" One of your brothers yelled from the hallway as his fist pounded on your door. You rolled your eyes as you stood there debating if you could avoid him. Your plan to stay as quiet as possible quickly went to shit.
"Y/N, do not make me call dad." Your other brother, the one who's slightly fucking scary, voice boomed through your door like it wasn't even there.
You threw your door open to the absolute shit show that was your family. All four dumbass brothers stood outside of your apartment door. All four let out a simultaneous sigh of relief before walking into your very messy apartment.
"Jesus." Jason, the youngest, breathed out when the smell of alcohol hit him right in the face. His nose scrunched as his worried eyes flashed over the room.
"Did you drink an entire liquor store?" Tommy, the one you were closest to, asked as he scanned the damage done to your living room and what the hell you'd been doing to your liver the last four days.
"Shut up." You mumbled as you sat down on the floor, the couch was deemed unusable by you until further notice. Way, way, too many memories on that dumb thing.
Raphael's lips pursed as he studied the new living room color. He didn't even bother to hide the fact he was judging your meltdown as he turned to you.
You two were the closest in age. You were only 6 months older, and were both adopted at the same time. It definitely didn't make getting along as children necessarily easy. The both of you butted heads so much the other 3 acted more like referees than siblings. Which is why the room seemed to shift dramatically as he turned to you.
"So, you stonewall your way out of a relationship and then ignore everyone who checks on you?"
"Here we fucking go." Jack, the middle child and probably the most sensible brother groaned as he sat down cross-legged on the floor. His head rested in his hand as he stroked Marshmallow's black fur.
"Hey! We said we weren't going to bring you if you started a fight." Tommy snapped right before Jason interrupted.
"He has a point, Tomás."
"Like you haven't had your heartbroken."
"She's the one in the wrong!"
"No she isn't!"
"You can't defend her forever. She has to own up to her shit."
You groaned, your head laid back as you listened to them argue about you, right in front of you.
There wasn't enough alcohol in the world to deal with this.
"Get out." You said as you stood from your place on the floor, all eyes darted to you as you demanded for your own space.
"Wait, what?" Tommy asked as the rest of them looked at you like you had magically grown three heads.
"I said, get out. I'm not listening to this. You guys want to fight, go to dad's." You opened your front door, held it wide open for all of them to filter out. Each one gave a sad or sympathetic smile as they left.
"Y/N, I think you should really give them anoth-" Jack tried to reason with you before you shut the front door, hard. The slam echoed through your now quiet apartment as you stood there yet again, alone.
>>>
Your hooded eyes stared at the same spot on your ceiling. Your back rested on the cold hardwood floor of your wrecked living room. Your head swam with a fuzziness that only happens when you spend too many days on a bender.
You were fucked and your heart, your soul, hurt in a way you didn't think was possible.
You could feel the prick of tears starting again in your eyes as your mind ran over everything. The good times, the bad, the moment you wished you could take back.
Why did you leave that damn house? You could have at least let him explain.
You sighed as you sat up. The uncomfortable feeling of the room spinning only got worse as you shifted forward to grab the drink you'd poured earlier. The glass pressed against your dried out lips as the same laugh reel ran in the background.
Was this your life now? You wondered as you sat on that cold floor of your apartment. You used to be okay with nights like these. You used to be fine being alone.
Now, the silence felt like a stab to the gut.
Your phone that laid on the table vibrated non-stop. The worried texts of people who loved you flooded your phone, you were worried about you too but you couldn't admit it.
Why did this hurt so bad?
Was it because you'd never experienced a loss like this before?
Or was it because deep down, shut away in the corner of your mind you dared to never go to, you knew exactly how you felt about them? And it scared the shit out of you.
You gulped down the rest of your drink. Not wanting to begin the vicious cycle of why you were so quick to give up on them. Why you were so determined to leave before any explanation could be given.
Fucking hell, you needed therapy.
Your shaky legs walked over to the TV, turning off the reruns. Your glass placed on the edge of your coffee table as you made your way to your bathroom. A hot shower would always fix everything.
The stream of warm water pounded against your back as you sat in your bathtub. Your mind fluttered around the idea of taking a job that required you to permanently leave the country for a while. Maybe you could fall in love with a nice coast side in Italy or a small Cafe in France.
You didn't notice the sound of your front door opening or the footsteps in your apartment. Your eyes were already so heavy. The steam of the shower only made the low lullaby of sleeper louder in your mind.
Sleep and everything will be better.
>>>
You woke up the next morning in your bed. The bright sun burned your eyes as you blinked away the foggy feeling of sleep that still lingered around you. Your brain felt like a pile of mush as you reached for the bottle of water you kept on your side table.
How did you even get to bed?
The last few days had blurred together into a muddy picture. Everything jumbled together; drinks, painting, TV, organizing your kitchen, looking at apartments in foreign countries online.
"Morning!" Your brother chirped happily as he walked into your room.
You could have literally jumped out of your skin. You screamed, loudly, almost falling out of the bed.
"What the fuck!"
"I came back last night and you were asleep in the shower!" He said like you were the dumb one. "A thank you would be nice."
"Why are you in my apartment?" You asked, but only received the blankest of stares back. You knew why he was here. "I don't want to hear it."
"Too bad. Obviously, you need to hear it 'cause your apartment smells like a bar and you haven't talked to anyone in almost a week." He shrugged as he sat on the edge of your bed. The black ball of fur you'd eventually have to give back to your neighbor wasn't far behind him. Small black paws circled around you before he found a place to sleep comfortably.
"This sucks." You mumbled after a bit of silence. You could tell Jack didn't want to push you. Usually, this was a thing Tommy would handle but for some reason, the tribe had sacrificed Jack to be the emotional voice of reason this time.
"You know," he said as his hand ran through Marshmallow's fur. His teeth bit the inside of his lip as he debated what to say for a second before continuing. "you could just admit you were in the wrong and go apologize. I mean, you clearly fucking regret it."
"I don't." You answered so quickly even Marshmallow didn't believe you. His green eyes stared in lazy disbelief. "I mean I do but… I don't know, Jack. It's weird 'cause I'm so sad but… what if this never gets better? What if it's always like this? Like, we're always struggling to be a normal couple?"
"You're not a normal couple so why would you try to act like one?"
Your eyes shot to his at the words that poured out of his mouth so carefully. You'd never thought of it that way before. Your brows furrowed as you stared back at the bed.
Was there a chance for you to make this work with them?
"Look, Y/N, relationships are fucking hard no matter what but you can't just… walk out on people before they get a chance to hurt you."
"I didn't."
"You did. It's kind of your thing, you know?" He smiled softly to you. Not condescending or in a know it all way, in the way only a sibling could without getting smacked. "Not that it doesn't make sense but if they made you happy, maybe you should try to hear their side of it."
"When did you become the smart brother?" You teased with that wide smile across your face.
"Right after I came out of the closet."
"Shut up." You said through a laugh. The first one you'd had in days. That weight that laid on your chest seemed to have lifted a small amount.
Maybe, just maybe, you could talk this through with them.
>>>
You stood on the same doorstep you angrily stormed across not even a week ago. The pink door that you used to love, suddenly felt like a door to the electric chair.
Maybe you couldn't do this.
You sighed, your eyes darting back to the old Camero you loved just a little too much. Arms crossed over your chest to keep you warm as you stood in your place. You knew you couldn't go back to your apartment this quickly without getting asked questions.
Raphael, Jack, Tomás, and Jason were all waiting for your post-breakup meltdown if this didn't go well. Each one said they'd stay with you on rotation shifts until you felt better if you needed it.
Which was sweet, but you kind of wanted to rot in silence and alcohol if this went as badly as you thought it was going to.
Your tongue grew thick as your stomach churned. Your eyes closed as you sighed heavily, your ass plopped down on his front steps, head rested in your hands.
You didn't know where to even start when it came to talking to them. Your feelings were hurt but you shouldn't have walked out without giving them a chance to explain. You didn't want to feel like the odd man out but didn't want to broadcast your relationship.
The whole thing was messy and complicated. You wished so hard that it'd be easy. That talking about what you felt would be easy.
But you knew it wasn't, it never was, at least not for you. You shoved all your emotions down and kept chugging along your whole life. You pretended everything was fine, even when it wasn't. Which was exactly what ended you up here in the first place.
If you would have told them sooner they would have ended the PR shit.
"Hi." The thick accent from behind you startled your thoughts for a second but you didn't turn around. Your fingers messed with the edge of the rip in your jeans as your eyes focused on the crack in his sidewalk.
"Hi." You said quietly after what felt like a full minute of silence. You heard him let out a small sigh, his feet shuffled forward until he sat down quietly beside you.
You tried to not look at him, knowing if you did you'd burst out into tears. So you stayed focused on the ground, the dead leaves that floated along the road, the grass that was getting crunchy from the cold weather.
"Y/N, 'M-" he started but you waved your hand to get him to stop. Your head rested against his shoulder that tensed up from your touch.
You didn't want to talk for a second, just a second. You breathed in the familiar smell of him, the cologne he always wore was faint on his skin. The sleep shirt he wore was your favorite, you realized. The blue sweatshirt always made his eyes look so beautiful.
"I missed you." You said into his shoulder. Your lips brushed against the soft fabric as you spoke.
"'M missed yeh too." His voice cracked as he rested his cheek against the top of your head. His fingers laced through yours as you moved closer into the warmth of him. "Flor's inside if y'wanna talk."
You sighed, you knew you needed to talk, knew you had to talk about it. You just didn't want to. The feel of him being close to you again, the intoxicating smell of him near.
Your head lifted from his sweatshirt, only to see how rough he'd been doing himself the last few days. His bloodshot green eyes had large bags under them. His scruff on his face, messy brown curls. He'd done just as bad as you.
You only caught sight of his lips for a second before saying fuck it. Talking could happen later, you'd missed him so much.
Your lips pressed against his with a force that knocked him backwards for a second but you didn't care. No, this was the most "at home" you'd felt in days.
He felt like home.
His lips molded to yours so perfectly, once he got a hold of himself. His hand slipped to the back of your neck to pull you closer to him.
Your heart felt like it was going to pound out of your chest as your lips parted, welcoming him back.
He pulled you up with him. His hands around your waist, lips still connected with yours as he walked the pair of you inside.
You wished you could slow down the moment. The way he was holding you tightly to him, like he never wanted to let you go again. The fleeting feelings ran through your mind but they all ended the same way.
You fucking loved him, so much.
All your energy was going into not crying from your surge of emotions. The rush of adrenaline was intoxicating, your shaky hands danced in the messy tangle of his unkempt brown curls as you tried to hold onto that shred of sanity you had left.
"I missed you." You breathed out when you came up for air. His forehead pressed against yours, his body crowded yours to the wall. "God, I fucking missed you."
He chuckled, a slight smile on his now swollen lips but you couldn't help it. It was the only thing your brain could come up with besides how sorry you were for not giving him a chance to explain.
"Miss me any?" Her voice made you look around Harry. Her arms crossed over her chest but that hint of a smile smoothed across her lips as she leaned on the doorway that led to the entry.
"Wanna see how much I missed you both?"
>>>
Maybe this wasn't necessarily the healthiest way to deal with your problems as a couple. But at this moment you could have cared less what a therapist would say about your tendency to avoid things that were important.
You laid on your back, your legs wide open, toes digging into the mattress as Florence's tongue pressed a wide thick lick through your folds. Circling around your bundle of nerves before slipping into you.
You would have moaned out loud, if it wasn't for the dick rammed down your throat. Your head laid off the side of the bed, your vision upside down as Harry's pulsating member slid down your open and waiting mouth. His hand around your neck, squeezing himself.
"Missed fuckin' yeh throat, pup." He groaned out as his hips snapped against your spit soaked face. He backed out long enough for you to catch your breath before shoving his way back in. Your abused throat would hate you for this in the morning but right now you didn't care.
"Feel good, baby?" Flor asked as her finger curved inside of you, hitting that sweet spot that always made your eyes roll back. She didn't have to ask if it felt good, she knew it did, she just wanted the bragging rights of who gave you the better orgasm of the night.
Harry's member pulled out of your throat. You tried your best to catch your breath as he crouched down to your level. His hands doing the best they could to wipe away all the saliva that ran down your cheeks. Playful green eyes met yours.
"Gonna cum, sweetheart?" He asked even though he really didn't need to. The sound of your moans alone was enough to tell you were close.
"Mhm." Was all you managed to get out, your hands threaded through Florence hair as her mouth joined her fingers. Your eyes closed as you got closer to your high, your skin raised in goosebumps as she did that fucking flicking, swirl, of her tongue that always did you in.
"Good, 'm gonna make you cum harder than that." Harry's words faded in your mind as that crashing sensation washed you away.
Florence scoffed as her head lifted from between your legs. The back of her hand wiped your juices away as she rolled her eyes at Harry.
"Good fucking luck trying to top that one."
"Guys," you groaned, your hand over your eyes. "Supposed to be makeup sex, not a competition."
"Can be both." Harry mumbled under his breath, quietly, but you still caught it. Your eyes glared at him as you turned around on the bed.
"Shut up." You mumbled as you reached forward, your hands around his neck as you brought him up to your level. Your mouth enveloped his quickly to stop the argument.
You pulled him onto the bed with you two. His knees hitting the edge before climbing up the rest of the way as your tongue took control of this kiss. It didn't happen often but when it did you ran with the opportunity. His mouth following your lead until you pulled away slightly, your teeth catching his bottom lip softly causing him to moan.
"Fuck," he cursed as you pulled away that sweet smile on your face like you didn't know that he loved that.
Florence came behind the pair of you, her lips pressed against your shoulder, up your neck, small love bites left here and there before she took the chance to kiss you when Harry pulled away. Her hands pulled on your waist, tugging you down to the bed to lay on your back.
"Ready?" She asked as Harry stroked himself, the nod of your head was all he needed to hoist your legs up. His pulsing tip ran through your folds as you reached for Florence, your arms wrapped around her thighs as you pulled her down on your mouth.
Harry continued to tease your opening. His tip slipping in and out of you easily as your tongue ran rapid through Florence's pussy. Her wetness was almost to the point of dripping down your face. You groaned as you pulled her by her thighs down harder onto you as your tongue circled into her hole. Fuck, you missed her taste.
You heard the sounds of their kissing, her moans, before he finally pushed his way into you. Your walls clinging around him immediately, pulling him closer into you, making him hiss lowly.
"Jesus, she always so fuckin' tight." His hands embedded themselves into your thighs as he held you open for him. His fingers pulled back the lips of your pussy briefly before you felt Florence shift forward, her core off your mouth as her tongue circled your clit.
Your loud, unabashed moans filled the room. Your mind clouded with nothing but desire and lust, barely functioning at all. Thoughts weren't making sense, you were going based on instinct when your fingers slipped into her cunt that was inches in front of your face.
Harry's grunt and groans as he fucked into your tight cave halted for a moment, his erection pulled out of you briefly. The unmistakable sounds of your girlfriend choking on your boyfriends cock filled the room.
You moaned at the sound, your core clenched as your fingers finally twisted into the right angle. Her velvet walls pulled you in as she tried her best to keep breathing around Harry's thick member.
"Fuck, keep doing that." He panted, accent thick, voice deep with pleasure as you hit that spot in her again. A flood of her arousal coated your fingers as she let out another loud moan, her body slacked on top of you as Harry pulled out of her throat.
You weren't prepared for when he thrusted himself back into you. Your moan cracked as you gripped tightly onto Florence's thighs.
"Told yeh I was gonna make you cum harder." He mumbled as Florence let out a laugh. She rolled over to lay beside you, her lips lazily kissing yours the best they could through Harry's rough thrusts into you.
"Make her cum harder than I did and you can cuddle her tonight." Florence smirked, her hands ran over your hair as you pouted.
"Deal."
"Hey! I wanted to cuddle both of you." Your head shot off the bed as you glared at the both of them, who were both very very clearly taking their competition too far.
Leave them alone for four days and you come back to them acting like children.
"Tomorrow night, sweetheart. I got somethin' prove." Harry smiled as he leaned down to you, his lips capturing yours before you could protest, a roll of his hips had you moaning.
Maybe this bet wasn't that bad.
"Yeah, proving I'm better." Florence scoffed again, adding fuel to the fire as her hand leisurely traveled between her legs. A soft moan passed through her lips as Harry basically growled at her through his teeth.
You rolled your eyes at her as she gave you a shrug and a smile. His length pulled out of you again as he lifted you up, switching you over to be on top of him.
He was pushed back into you in less than a second, his hands grasping the round flesh of your ass tightly as he leaned you forward into his chest. His legs pushed himself upwards, hitting your sweet spot every single time.
You were thankful he pulled you into his chest. Your moans rolled easily as his hands dug deeper into your skin, you were teetering on the edge with in minutes. His gruff groans as his sensitive pulsating member pushed into you only added fuel to the fire.
"Come 'ere, baby." He said as he slowed down his punishing pace his hand left your bum, fingers slipped into Florence's mouth for only a few seconds before finding their way back to you.
The pressure from his finger prodding into your back hole had your eyes rolling in the back of your head. The deep, low, sound that resonated in the bottom of your chest had a smug grin on Harry's face.
He knew he'd won.
His finger and along with his cock fucked into you until you could hardly register your own name. You could feel your heart beating in your core, your nipples so sensitive you could barely stand to have them brush against his own chest.
Harry hummed as you seemed to lose yourself in the feeling of your mounting high. Florence's hand between her legs, stroking herself faster as her lips pressed to Harry's.
You felt a pressure in your stomach you'd never felt before, building and building, ready to bust any second. You didn't even have time to warn him when you felt the dam release. Your head floated in the clouds as your juices ran down him, soaking the bed.
"Well, fuck, I've never made her do that." Florence mumbled after Harry's final thrust into you. His gloating laugh filled the room as you laid limp.
"Told yeh so." He cooed as his hand ran down your back in soothing circles. Florence kissed softly on your shoulder, your arm, wherever until your eyes finally focused on her.
"You okay?" She asked as she brushed away the hair that was stuck to your face.
"Mhm, wanna sleep." You whined, your head pressed into Harry's shoulder tightly as you felt him soften inside of you. Your hips shifted to move off him but his hand quickly pressed your ass down again.
"Go to sleep, darlin'." He kissed the top of your head before he nuzzled into your. Florence arm wrapped around the both of you as Harry opened one arm for her to cuddle into his side.
>>>
"Mornin', sweetheart." Harry hummed as he rounded the corner to his kitchen. A quick kiss placed on Florence's lips before he picked up the cup of tea she already had made for him.
"Morning." She mumbled into her cup. Her legs pulled up beside her as she sat on the counter.
"Wot's wrong?" He paused before taking a sip, his eyes studying her as she sighed.
"It's just…" she stared at the coffee pot that hadn't been used in a week. The steaming brown liquid dripped into the vessel below it. She sighed, shaking her head. "I woke up this morning and the first thing I did was make sure she didn't leave again."
Harry's eyes softened, his hand ran through her hair, lips pressed to her forehead. Trying his best to comfort her which is what he tried, and usually failed, at doing all week long.
"We'll talk to her, okay?"
Flor nodded her head, her lips pressed to his one last time as they heard the door to the bedroom creak open. A shirt you'd taken out of Harry's closet hit your knees as you rubbed the sleep out of your eyes.
"Morning." You said as you gave both of them a kiss, your eyes more trained to the pot of delicious coffee than either one of their faces.
"Y/N?" Florence asked as you poured your first cup, the smell wafting into your senses had your knees almost buckling.
"Yeah, baby?" You asked without turning around. The glass pressed to your swollen lips from all of last nights kissing, the warm mug felt like a relief to them.
"Can, uhm," she started, you finally turned around to see her looking uncomfortable. Her tongue wet her lips, eyes glanced to Harry before she continued. "can we talk, you know… about everything now?"
"Right, yeah of course, we should… just-" You could feel the nerves pit in your stomach growing as you nodded towards the table. The three of you sat in your usual chairs, your usual mugs in your hands, but it wasn't an usual morning.
No, now you actually had to talk about what was bothering you.
"Right." Harry said, hoping to get the conversation started with already but the room was dead silent.
"Right." You repeated mostly to fill the awkward silence that was growing thicker in the room by the second. You could feel your ears rushing, the room was so quiet. No TV to drown out the weird atmosphere, no music to cover up the fact you had to talk about what happened.
"So, I guess 'm gonna start." Harry said after he glanced at the both of you two, seeing he was going to have to get the ball rolling on this whole thing.
"Yeh know 'm really, really, sorry 'bout the Gemma stuff. I was gonna tell her the next week after the last interview but she decided to come in early and surprise me." Your lips rolled in your mouth as you listened to him. You knew the whole time you sat in your apartment, drunk, that a version of this was what happened. "And I didn't want yeh to get hurt and 'm so sorry it seemed like I was hiding yeh away from people."
You could feel the start of tears in your eyes. You sucked in a deep breath, trying to calm yourself down from a blubbering meltdown that was about to happen. Which you might have been able to avoid if his hand didn't wrap itself around yours from across the table.
"Just," you sighed, your hand squeezed his as you tried to wipe away the tears that rolled down your cheek. "Just, I should have said it was bothering me before it got to that point and I'm sorry I didn't and I blew up then walked out."
"It's okay." Florence said softly, her other hand laced through your free one. "But… maybe, we should agree to talk about stuff a bit more."
"Yeah, think that would probably be good." Harry agreed as he scooted forward in his chair, his hand wiped away the rest of your tears. "So, yeh gonna stay, right?"
You smiled up to him, your hand laced tighter through Florence's fingers as you nodded your head.
Yeah, you think you'd stay with them.

The Ruined King, chapter 3
Tumblr media
(Credit to @ghostnightbride for the materials for the banner!)
Pairing: Felix x Liz
Summary: Hawkeye is once again moving through Gedonelune, and it looks like their aim is on the heart of the Dragonkin Ruins. It looks like we’ll need the help of the three Reciters to solve this mystery!
Previous: Chapter 2
First: Chapter 1
Contains spoilers for the Melody of Awakening spinoff!
Emerging through the forest, a decrepit gate and cracked window frames greeted us.
'It's strange,' I thought, 'I must have been here a thousand times before, but it's different now.' Different to be visiting it with actual Dragonkins. 'What must this have been like when it was in its prime?'
I stole a glance over at Felix's face, gazing up at the ruins. Sadness and surprise flashed across his face. "This is.. What has become of us?"
"Felix.."
"..We should get going."
"Can I ask an awkward question?" Lacan's voice broke through the silence as we walked.
"What is it, Lacan?"
"Um.. what are your names? I know Liz, I remember you, and I know Hugo and Mischa, since they've come round for tea. But the rest of you.. I mean, I know that we met before, but it was all kind of a blur back then.”
Oh, right. Just because we knew his story didn't mean that he knew anything about us.
"I.. probably should have asked about that as well,” Felix admitted.
"What? Lacan, I can understand, but you Felix.. You don't even know our names?!"
Felix met Zeus with a blank stare. "..Why would I? You were just pains in my side."
"Well, I suppose there's no harm in introducing ourselves again," Caesar said with a laugh. "I'm Caesar Raphael."
"The loud mouth is Zeus," Hugo said, glancing over his shoulder.
"Ah, I wondered who that was!" Lacan said. “Hugo's always talking about you!” Felix nodded.
"Hey!” Zeus shot a dirty look at Hugo.
One by one, they introduced themselves. "I'm Yukiya; this is Seth."
"I'm Elias Goldstein; Alfonse here is my eldest brother."
"Elias was the other one who defeated Drago," I said.
"Ah, I do know of the Goldsteins," Felix mused.
"..Yeah, you broke into our laboratory," Alfonse said.
Lacan gave him a confused look, but Felix coughed. "..Moving on. What about your merchant friend? The one who had Twilight?"
"Oh, Hisoka?" I wasn't expecting him to remember him. "He's not with us right now; I think that he's in Queensblade right now."
"You certainly have a lot of friends.." Felix muttered. In the back of my mind, he almost sounded wistful.
I shivered as we walked deep into the ruins. I'd been down here in the ruins before, but it never got any less creepy to visit them. As we walked, I noticed that some of the others seemed to be slowing down.
Lucious, Zeus, and Hiro seemed to linger behind us. Shu, on the other hand, was even more lively, chirping happily as he flew behind us.
Even Felix seemed a little unnerved. 'I wonder what this is like for him.'
"So, how do we know Hawkeye will be headed to these ruins?" Caesar asked, trailing behind Willem.
"There are certain treasures that the humans entrusted to us long ago," Willem said. "Though we were sealed away, they should still be buried deep enough that they shouldn't have been found by the humans.”
Caesar sighed. "I wonder if Hawkeye's already gotten there by now. They did get a bit of a headstart on us.”
"Who cares?" Zeus said, grinning from ear to ear. "If they've gotten the jewels or whatever, I'll just summon something big and scary to fight them off! Maybe I'll summon Vulcanaux!"
"You will not!” Zeus jumped as Felix walked up to him, his voice as cold as ice. “If you were to summon a creature like Vulcanaux here, you would bring this place down on top of us. I will not allow you to destroy this sacred place!”
Zeus recoiled as though burnt. "Sorry.."
Felix turned away, walking past him; I hurried after him. I heard the others muttering to Zeus. “Nice going, genius..”
The eeiry feeling continued as we went deeper down the halls. Shu flew ahead of us, happily chirping as we explored the halls.
'It almost feels like.. someone is watching me.' I glanced over my shoulder, but I didn't see anyone. 'I don't know why this place gives me such creeps..'
I looked at the walls. Even if it was growing darker, I could make out intricate carvings on the walls. I was so focused on the walls, I wasn't looking where I was going, and my foot caught on a loose tile-
"Woah!"
And suddenly found strong arms catching me. I looked up into green, green eyes.
"..Watch your step," Felix said, helping me to my feet.
"Right." I stood up, though I couldn't understand why my heart was racing so much.
“I'm sure that we've come down this way before.” Lacan peeked his head down the branching pathway.
“No, I'm sure that that way is connected to the Labyrinth,” Willem said with a sigh.
“Don't ask me, you're the ones who always came down here.”
It was a strange sight, seeing the three powerful Dragonkin bickering over something like directions. But a noise echoed through the halls- a stomach growling.
“..It's probably been a fair few hours since we set out,” Willem said gently. “Perhaps this would be a good time to stop and eat?”
We all took seat around the hall, pulling out our lunches.
"I brought some cookies for everyone!" I said. With the Reciters, our group was larger than normal, so I'd made sure to bake more than usual. I had made little bags for everyone.
"Cookies?" Their expressions lit up as they took the bags.
"Here," I passed out the bags. I pulled Shu close to me. "I've got some treats for you too, Shu." He happily chirped as he nibbled on the treats. I patted his head.
'So adorable..'
I noticed Felix gazing at us curiously. He had seemed to like cookies before when we had been at the Night Cafe together. “Would you like some too, Felix?”
“I suppose.” He hesitantly took one of the cookies, nibbling on it.
"Willem's been introducing us to all sorts of wonderful foods," Lacan said happily. "I can't believe we've never tried them before!"
"I have to thank Liz,” Willem said sweetly. “She's taught me a lot of the recipes."
“Hey, Felix, there's something that I wanted to ask you.” He looked up at me from his cookie. “I noticed there's a lot of carvings and writings on the walls. Do you know what it says?”
He sat up a little straighter. “Yes, actually, the three of us were the ones who put the carvings in. It was our job to transcribe the history of the Dragonkin upon these walls.”
“So then the Reciters are like the historians of the Dragonkin?” I asked.
“I'm sure you could find a lot of records on these walls,” Willem said.
“My favorite story was about our friendship with the Night Kingdom,” Lacan said. “I think that should be somewhere around here.”
“You have records of that?” Lucious said, his eyes lighting up. “I want to see!”
The others pitched in their questions, asking about the various tales on the walls. And I could see Felix's eyes light up as he answered their questions.
In the end, we agreed to split up into three groups, each group following one of the Reciters down the various paths. Hugo, Zeus, Shu, and I followed Felix down the hall.
As we walked, the terrain of the ruins grew rougher. Even Felix and Zeus seemed to be struggling. 'I never thought that I'd see him struggle like this..'
And once again, we came to a branching path. “Should we split up again?”
“That won't be necessary,” he said coolly. “We shouldn't be far from the heart of the ruins now; I can send a few mini dragons to scout ahead.” As he spoke, he clasped his hands together, darkness pouring out of them and taking the form of two minidragons. They quickly scampered on the path ahead of us.
“Do you just have like minidragons that you can carry with you everywhere? You don't even need to summon them?” Zeus asked.
“Not quite. The power of Nightmare is the power to create out of shadows; what form that takes, whether it be minidragons, shadows, or a magical beast is up to me.”
“That would explain a lot.” I remembered the various magical beasts he had sent us before. Even a kraken.
“..Felix?” Felix glanced over at Zeus, who looked strangely sheepish for him. “I'm sorry about  what I said before. About summoning the Vulcanaux earlier, I wasn't thinking about what this place meant to you.”
“Hmm.” It seemed like his expression softened. “I suppose this place must have always been a ruin in your time.”
“This place must hold a lot of memories for you,” I said.
“..Most of my memories of this place are of the battles that raged here."
"Battles?" I shivered.
"Many of them, tearing this place to ruins," he said, his gazing turning to the walls. The eeiry feeling was only starting to grow. "Those dragged into the dark." Okay that wasn't helping-" I can still hear-"
"Eep!" All eyes fell on me, and I quickly covered my mouth.
Felix looked at me, his eyes wide in surprise. "I.."
"..My apologies," he said after a moment. "Perhaps it would be best to stop there." I nodded.
"Thank you," I said, breathing a sigh of relief. "Something feels off in this place."
"There are places we've built that are more pleasant than this," Felix said wistfully. "During the war, the Dragonkin built a city deep beneath the earth, using crystals to light their path."
Wait, that sounded awfully familiar! "Are you talking about the Illusionary Town?"
"Have you been there?"
"Yes, we visited there when we were searching for the Star Sapphire! It was so beautiful.. Well, except for the part where we got chased by a winged man throwing feathers at us."
"Winged man.. winged man.." Felix muttered under his breath. "Are you talking about Ventus?"
"You knew him?!" But one look at Felix's face, and he burst into laughter. "Hey!"
"No, I have no idea who you're talking about," he said. "Perhaps a trap laid by the Dragonkins who made the town."
"Who knew he could laugh like that?"
"Look, there it is."
Shu stopped before a set of intricately carved doors.
Felix smirked. "Trust that a dragon of light would be able to find the temple's heart," he said. "The Gem of Light should be just beyond there."
"Can we go in there and just wait for the others?" Zeus asked.
"There's a reason it hasn't been disturbed yet; it is locked to Lacan's magic alone. Only he will be able to unlock it. I'll send the signal." He pulled down his hood, his horns starting to glow black.
"And now we wait," Zeus said, sitting down.
Felix turned to me with a smile. "I think if you look close enough, you can find a Ratatoskr in the designs.”
"Hree?" Shu flew up to the doors, examining them with such intensity that I couldn't help but laugh a little.
I took a closer look myself; indeed, there were many dragons carved through the door. "Ah, I found you!" Sure enough, there was a four winged dragon, brightly singing his little song. Shu cooed in happiness.
I noticed another carving in the door, of a dragon much larger than the rest.. one that I'd seen carvings of all of my life. "Felix," I said, "is this.."
"Hugo, the Dragon of Time." Even Hugo examined the door more closely.
"Did you know him?"
"Somewhat. Though why he trusted the humans.." His expression softened, then went blank.
"Does this have something to do with him?"
"We'll explain everything when we get inside," Felix said.
After a little while, I heard chatter; Willem appeared with Elias, Alfonse, and Yukiya.
"Wow, so you're telling me that you went back, after all of that?" Voices boomed round the corner. I looked up to see Lacan leading the way; Lucious was strolling at his side, Hiro and Caesar trailing behind.
"Ah!" He beamed as he came up to us. "Lucious was just telling me about your adventure in the Labyrinth, and how you all freed him and Felix!"
"That's one way of telling it."
"Lacan, will you do the honors?"
"Of course." Lacan walked up to the door, his horns glowing with light. In a moment, the doors parted, revealing the hidden chamber.
My breath hitched as we stepped inside. The chamber was set up like a throne room. A bright light shown from the center of the room.
"May I?" Lacan nodded; I carefully walked to the center, shielding my eyes from its glow.
The light was coming from a brilliant diamond, shining as bright as the sun; it looked to be about the size of a pomegranate. "This is.."
"The Gem of Light," Felix said. "The humans entrusted us with it, and we've kept it in here ever since."
"Will you tell us what's going on now?" The three reciters shared a look, stepping close to each other.
"The founders of Gedonelune crafted six gems, one for each element," Willem said. "Three of them were entrusted to the Dragonkin and buried within our land. Even when war was waged, we buried them so deep in our temples that the humans couldn't find them."
"What about the other three gems?"
"I believe they were entrusted to Gedonelune's noble families," Felix said. The noble families of Gedonelune?
"Oh!" Alfonse's eyes widened. "I've heard about those!"
"It is said there is a secret place, known only to the royal family, where the six gems are brought together," Willem said. "But if that should ever happen.."
And a voice spoke up from behind us, a voice that sent chills down my spine, "Then the Dragon of Time will be awakened once more."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lucious: It was really interesting to hear about the history of the Dragonkin from them. I had no idea their history was so closely intertwined with ours.
Caesar: Did Lacan tell you about the history of the Night Kingdom?
Lucious: Yes! Apparently, our times were so close that some of our history got mixed up with theirs. Who would've thought?
Caesar: Oh, so you're as old as dirt just like them.
Lucious: ..Listen here!
Caesar: Uh-oh, looks like it's time for me to get out of here. Next time, Ruined Battle.

Warning: Fluff?
Pairing: Alfonse x Caesar
Summary: Caesar tries to pretend to be sick, so he can go see Alfonse. One shot
Caesar was in the Prefect's Office with the other Prefects that day and the Deputy Prefects, but it was usually the same old thing to him, he wanted something to change. But so far, he didn't know what or why. As he started to think of something... even though Klaus was telling everyone what was going on and he wasn't paying attention.
"Caesar, did you get all that?" Klaus Goldstein asked with a stern look. "What did you say?" Caesar Raphael asked as he gave a confused look. "You're supposed to listen to what was spoken." Zeus Brundle replied, shaking his head. "You're one to talk, you fell asleep several times." Hiro Tachibana said towards Zeus. "You fell asleep too!" Zeus Brundle snapped. "Guys..." Liz Hart said to them, going between Hiro and Zeus. "I got important things to do..." Alfonse Goldstein stated as he crossed his arms. "Okay... since Zeus, Hiro and Caesar didn't pay attention to my lecture. I'm going to make them go on the first rounds." Klaus Goldstein smirked there. "I'm so glad I paid attention..." Liz Hart nodded, as she walked out of the room. "Same..." Alfonse Goldstein said as he left the room too.
Zeus sighed to himself, as he went to the spot where they needed to check for the rounds. Hiro seemed to shrug since he didn't see anything. Caesar, on the other hand, kept thinking to himself. Zeus now sighed, as he tapped Caesar's shoulder.
"Dude, stop staring off into space!" Zeus Brundle yelled. "I can't help it, it's same things over and over." Caesar Raphael admitted. "Why don't I kiss you, to make you a pig?" Zeus Brundle asked him. "No thanks..." Caesar Raphael said now, as he shook his head and looked around finally as well. "You're going to turn him into a pig? Can I watch?" Lucious Duller asked as he came into the hallway. "Where did you come from?" Hiro Tachibana asked Lucious. "He's like a ninja." Zeus Brundle replied. "No kidding..." Hiro Tachibana said as he laughed.
Zeus seemed to go around the corner with Hiro, as Lucious glanced towards Caesar now. Caesar gave a sigh, as he didn't see anything out of the normal here, besides he had no idea what that meeting even was about.
"Weren't they supposed to help me?" Caesar Raphael asked. "I guess they ran away." Lucious Duller seemed to say. "Why am I stuck with you?" Caesar Raphael asked, really why did it have to be him? "I don't know Baroque." Lucious Duller said, giving a shrug. "But, I'm going to leave now." "Okay... but, I don't know what I'm even searching for." Caesar Raphael admitted. "Maybe a ghost?" Gray asked. "Don't do that, Gray!" Caesar Raphael replied as he jumped from the new voice. "Not my fault, I used to be one..." Gray pointed out. "But, why are you here?" Caesar Raphael asked. "I was bored..." Gray said as he sighed. "I'm rather bored too..." Caesar Raphael said as he wondered why he had to do rounds with Zeus and Hiro for.
Obviously, they had left him alone and he rather hated to be alone, besides that... Gray now seemed to walk away and go somewhere. So now, he really was alone as he sighed once more. Then, oddly Caesar had an idea for tomorrow... he didn't know where it had came from.
"I know what I should do for tomorrow..." Caesar Raphael told himself. "Yeah... I'll pretend to be sick, that way I will have to see Alfonse." He oddly blushed when he said that though.
'Wait, why am I blushing?' Caesar asked himself, as he thought that over in his head. But he came up with no real answer at all, as he waited there for a moment until Zeus and Hiro seemed to come over to him.
"I guess there's no one sneaking out today." Zeus Brundle replied. "Yeah, how boring." Hiro Tachibana said. "Hey, at least it's night time." Zeus Brundle gave a grin. "You two should try to stay awake during the day as well..." Caesar Raphael pointed out. "What? No way!" Zeus Brundle said, as he shown off his fist. "Zeus, this is no time to fight... besides, we can head back now." Hiro Tachibana told him. "Fine." Zeus Brundle replied.
Zeus and Hiro seemed to walk off together now, as Caesar seemed to watch them. 'I better go as well.' He told himself, as he started to walk off towards the dormitory. 'Though, how am I going to pretend to be sick? Just cough or something? Besides... Alfonse is my roommate, I can't do that in our dorm room. So... maybe, once we go tell our report?'
The next day... they all gathered in the Prefect's office again, as Zeus oddly was the one to tell them they didn't find anything on their rounds. As Klaus gave a sigh slowly, as he looked to them all there.
"I hope everyone pays attention today." Klaus Goldstein pointed out, as he glared at Zeus, Hiro and Caesar. "I said that no students were sneaking out last night!" Zeus Brundle replied. "He heard you the first time, idiot." Hiro Tachibana said, shaking his head. "Also, where is Alfonse today?" Liz Hart asked. "He's busy taking care of patients." Klaus Goldstein told her. "Oh." Liz Hart said now. "I... have a cold." Caesar Raphael said slowly, as he coughed. Wondering if they would buy it or not. "What?" Zeus Brundle asked. "I don't want to catch it!" "Me either." Hiro Tachibana admitted.
Klaus glared at Caesar, as he looked back at the others. Caesar seemed to freeze in his spot now like a deer stuck in headlights. Liz seemed to blink now, as she waved a hand before Caesar's face.
"I think you scared him." Liz Hart told Klaus. "Whatever..." Klaus Goldstein replied. "It's not my concern." "Hey, that's funny!" Zeus Brundle laughed. "I wonder why you laugh at that for..." Elias Goldstein said as he crossed his arms. "Sorry, but I really do got a cold." Caesar Raphael replied, as he really wanted this day to be different. "Fine, you can go to get checked out by Alfonse." Klaus Goldstein said with a cold tone. "Dang Klaus..." Elias Goldstein said towards his brother. "I get this way at times." Klaus Goldstein replied. "I'm so not going to get mad." Hiro Tachibana nodded.
After that was said, Caesar finally left the room and walked down the hallway by himself. It was strange walking alone since he usually had the others to walk with or something, but he felt better to leave the room. As he got a bit nervous, once he had reached the infirmary as he knocked on the door. Oddly, he coughed by it too, but he didn't really have a cold.
"Come in..." Alfonse Goldstein replied from within the room. Caesar opened the door and walked inside now slowly. "Um... I came here since I had a cold." Caesar Raphael pointed out, trying to actually lie to him. "I see." Alfonse Goldstein said as he didn't even look his way at all. "Sorry, did I come in here at a bad time?" Caesar Raphael asked him now. "I'm sort of busy, just go onto an empty bed. I will get you as well, after that." Alfonse Goldstein stated as he shook his head.
Caesar got a bit worried that he had seen through his lie, but he didn't get told to leave. Then, he walked over to an empty bed as he glanced towards the other patients in the room. 'They probably have something serious and I fake to be sick?' He asked himself. Really what was he even doing? His heart raced though, as he sat onto the bed as he noticed that he couldn't take his eyes off of Alfonse in the room. 'What the heck is wrong with me?' He asked himself.
Alfonse was busy taking care of one of his many patients in the room, as he gave a soft sigh out. He had ten patients today, but now with Caesar here that made eleven total and he really wasn't looking forward to it. The other patients though just had trouble casting magic and he had no idea why he got told to take care of them. Since he had no idea why they were at all, not like he could fix that.
Caesar soon got bored, as he noticed that one of the patients was trying to make a bubble. But, it kept popping no matter how many times they tried to do it, as he wondered why they were even there for. Not like he had a real reason either... since there was nothing wrong with him, except for his heart beating like mad. But, he tried to calm himself down and look somewhere else, but he kept thinking about Alfonse.
But then there was a knock on the door, as Alfonse glanced over at the door. "Who is it now?" Alfonse Goldstein asked. "Just Klaus." Klaus Goldstein replied. "Okay, come in." Alfonse Goldstein said.
The door opened and Klaus walked into the room, as Caesar just sat there more nervously on the bed he was on. As Klaus glanced over towards the other patients slowly, then over to Caesar. Caesar coughed and looked away from him, as he kept trying to pretend he had a cold.
"Why are the others here?" Klaus Goldstein asked. "They are having trouble with their magic and oddly... I was placed in charge to make sure they get better?" Alfonse Goldstein asked, giving a shrug. "That doesn't make any sense..." Klaus Goldstein told him. "Yeah... wait, are we on talking terms now?" Alfonse Goldstein asked in surprise. "I don't know what you're talking about." Klaus Goldstein answered coldly, as he walked back over to the door and left the room. "Yeah, I thought not..." Alfonse Goldstein sighed.
Caesar just sat there without saying anything at all, as he wondered how long he was just going to pretend to be sick. Besides... Alfonse probably saw through his lie, but he seemed to not say anything either, but the guy seemed to focus on the other patients. 'Maybe, I should just go? I'm not really sick... besides, I might be in his way.' He told himself, as he got off the bed.
"Where are you going?" Alfonse Goldstein asked Caesar. "I... um... leaving?" Caesar Raphael asked as he tried to think of something to say other than that. "I said I will check on you... besides, these other patients seem to want to go outside to practice their magic." Alfonse Goldstein replied as he shook his head. "But... you know what I did?" Caesar Raphael asked him slowly. "You should really say when we are alone." Alfonse Goldstein whispered to him.
'Huh? Alone?' Caesar asked himself, as his heart oddly sped up now. Really, he had no idea why it was this way at all, this was someone he got to see every day! They were roommates after all, so why was his heart acting this way? He asked himself, as he blushed again.
"Um... um okay." Caesar Raphael stuttered his words out. Alfonse Goldstein crossed his arms now. "You don't have to act shy around me." "Sorry." Caesar Raphael said now, as he just returned to the bed.
The other patients oddly had left the room, since Alfonse told them they can go into the courtyard to practice their magic. Though, Caesar only got more nervous once they were left alone. 'But, he knows I lied?' He asked himself, as he gulped softly.
"I know that you lied to be here..." Alfonse Goldstein said now, as he walked over to Caesar. "Well... I just was bored." Caesar Raphael admitted. "You might have made others worry about you, that's not right." Alfonse Goldstein told him. "I know, I'm really sorry for my actions." Caesar Raphael nodded and put his head down. "I will let you go with this simple warning... next time only come here, if you're really sick or something." Alfonse Goldstein told him in a very gentle voice.
'Wait, was he really hearing that right? In a gentle voice? What? No? Right?' Caesar asked himself, as he gave a blush before he nodded now. "Yeah, okay... I guess I will go." He said as he got off the bed. "You better not lie next time." Alfonse Goldstein warned him.
Caesar soon left the room, as he never felt so guilty before. Oddly, his heart couldn't calm down either as it kept racing, wondering why he was so gentle with his words. Though, right as he was heading away from the infirmary, he heard someone scream, so he ran over in that direction.
"What is going on?" Caesar Raphael asked, as he saw a girl student on the ground and holding her leg. "I hurt my ankle..." Girl Student A said. "Can you walk?" Caesar Raphael asked. "No." Girl Student A replied. "It hurts bad." Then oddly, Liz came running over to them. "Caesar, you can use healing too." Liz Hart told him in a mad tone. "Sorry... you're right." Caesar Raphael replied, oddly he didn't feel like himself right now, he kept thinking about Alfonse... that was what his problem was. Liz Hart sighed as she took out her wand. "Sanatio Aura!" She replied, as a green wind wrapped around the girl's ankle. "Wow, thank you!" Girl Student A said, as she smiled then she walked away since her ankle felt better.
Caesar seemed to just watch there, as he seemed to wonder why he had done that for. Liz though was still mad at him for not helping, as she actually slapped Caesar's cheek, before she walked away. Caesar just blinked and rubbed over his cheek, wondering why she did that for.
Liz found a different girl student in a different hallway who also was hurt, as she wondered what was going on now. She used her healing magic on that girl as well, as the girl thanked her.
Girl Student B: "Thank you so much!" She replied as she smiled. "No problem." Liz Hart smiled.
Then Liz walked to the Prefect’s office and opened the door and went inside. Zeus, Hiro, Lucious, Elias and Caesar were there.
“I just wanted to say sorry to all of you...” Caesar Raphael said to them. "About what?" Hiro Tachibana asked him. "I lied to you all, even to Klaus." Caesar Raphael admitted. "Wait, so you pretended to be sick?" Zeus Brundle asked him. "I did... I'm really sorry." Caesar Raphael said as he put down his head in shame. "Not going to space out again?" Zeus Brundle asked towards Caesar. "I... don't know what you mean." Caesar Raphael replied as he shrugged. "He didn't heal the girl student who was injured either, I had too." Liz Hart said as she glared at Caesar. "Dang, not right." Lucious Duller said as he shook his head.
Caesar sighed now, as he felt like they all hated him now. Then Liz walked over to him, as she kept glaring at him. Caesar slightly jumped from the look on her face, as Lucious laughed.
"Someone's jumpy." Lucious Duller remarked. "So why did you pretend to be sick?" Liz Hart asked him. "To see Alfonse." Caesar Raphael told her. "..." Liz Hart said towards that.
