regina had started her day like any other, except she had woken up with an excitement fluttering in her stomach. another day she got to spend with her son and of course, emma. they had been seeing each other for almost six months and it had been going well in regina's opinion. although it was still fresh, she was sure emma was whom she was supposed to spend the rest of her life with.

hence why she was perched on granny's stool with a cup of coffee sat in front of her, happily chatting with ruby. they had been discussing how crazy the time seemed to fly when you were falling in love, and planning the surprise regina wanted to set up for her and emma's six months. it was cheesy notion to her but they had joked about it one night and she could sense there was some subconscious want for the cliché and corny in emma. she hadn't heard the bell on the door jingle as another patron entered the diner until the hairs stood on the back of her neck when she felt a heated glare aimed at her.

was thinking about henry and how he came to be with regina, and it just seems so unbelievable to me that rumple wouldn't have known whose son he was, so this is a prompt for an AU in which he knew. i don't know, maybe he saw it in a crystal ball. so when regina comes to him (coincidence? i think not), he makes sure to get henry specifically, and then slowly works to get regina out of the way so he can use henry as a do-over for dickhead cassidy. and hey, maybe regina ends up with lacey, yeah? and all the more reason for baby henry to go running straight to emma, cue season one.

She’ll show affection in spades, but she won’t call it love. But her displays of affection can become quite intense, going so far as to scare you on occasion.

She’ll get messy if she has to, no doubt. But she’ll use it as a warning to you to stay in line.

Of course. She basically keeps you prisoner in her castle. She’d easily take you away from your normal life just so she had easier access to you.

Probably, but she never really realizes it, because she doesn’t give you much of a day in boundaries. She just assumes and does what she wants.

She would, and you would know that’s what’s happening because she uses her sweet voice to get what she wants from you. It’s best for you to listen before it turns to anger.

Yes. Disobey and she won’t be shy about putting her hand around your neck to give you a warning. She never hits you or anything, but she isn’t afraid of giving you a little scare to keep you in your place.

Yeah, she would. I mean, she practically keeps you as a pet, not letting you leave the castle.

She’d definitely want to win you over in the end. If you were head over heels for her, then she’d accomplished her mission, even if she swears she could never feel the same for you.

“That is just...patently false,” Regina said, eyes widening. She might have gotten a little too tipsy on wine the night before but she did not remember what Emma was claiming. But Regina was taken even more by surprise by the other woman’s last statement. She hadn’t mind? Oh. That was something she hadn’t been expecting. Regina had the grace not to blush over it but dark eyes shifted from Emma’s face to the floor between them. Yes, Emma was attractive and Regina appreciate that.
