Chuuya Tries His Best

@chuuyasuggestions and I mutually head canon that Chuuya and Akutagawa actually get along fairly well - to the point they’re probably friends, even though Akutagawa is an egg and doesn’t know how to people. So I give you: 

Akutagawa is an introvert. Chuuya is pretty extroverted. Chuuya attempts to at the very least get Akutagawa out of his tiny little emo shell and invites him along for social shit when he can. 

This usually ends in them at a bar and Akutagawa finding the table farthest away from everyone else trying to quietly enjoy a cup of sake while Chuuya insists on karaoke. 

Despite his attempts, Chuuya does respect that Akutagawa isn’t you know, a people person (his hobby is devouring people with a coat, um??? no shit????) so sometimes Chuuya will just. Drag him around Yokohama and sight see just the two of them. Akutagawa scoffs the entire time because this is SUCH A WASTE OF MY TIME. He secretly takes pictures on his garbage flip phone though and keeps them. 

There’s like one time Akutagawa attempts to return the favor and invite Chuuya out for ‘socializing’ but he doesn’t know how to ask people for things so it’s him just like “You’re coming with me to a place” and Chuuya’s just??? Okay dude??? I guess??? Props to you for leavin’ your bat cave??? Don’t vore me???

Akutagawa has a good amount of respect for Chuuya, partly because of what he’s see Chuuya do with his own eyes and partly because he’s one person Dazai always spoke about reverently without trying to put him down in the process - so it piques his interest and he quietly observes Chuuya on their outings trying to figure out what the fuck it is about the spice man that made Dazai go to mush.
