Today on "stories I dream about constantly but will probably never write":

Kuronue survives being impaled and he and Kurama go on to be great thief lords. Kurama avoids being stuck in a human body because he's got his buddy to save him. Kurama makes himself a nice den, takes a vixen to mate and he and Kuronue and Akiko sometimes have three ways when the mood strikes them. They are the bane of spirit world and loving it

While out being their thieving selves with their gang, they run into a very feral Hiei. He has found Yukina and doing all he can to keep her safe which is a job and a half. Hiei barters for his life telling the fox demon he's fast and vicious so he can be a good thief. Amd Yukina can earn her keep helping Akiko with the kits that will be coming soon.

Yoko is impressed at Hieis courage and attempts to bargain so he agrees, pretty sure Hiei and Yukima just plan to steal from him and use the treasure to buy passage somewhere safe but also very amused by them. (He was never close to his siblings and this is fun to watch)

To be fair, that is their plan at first. But breaking into the famed thief king's treasure vault takes longer than they planned. And life in the den is nice. They're getting clothed and fed and sex is pretty much always on offer if they want it. Yukina can be safe while Hiei indulges in his darker demon tendencies. Also his sister grows really close to Akiko, glad to have a female friend. She even ends up falling in love with Kuronue and by the time they are trusted enough to get to the vault they don't want to leave.

Would end it with Kuronue planning to propose to Yukina. As he goes to meet her, she has to take care of the kits, ome of which has wandered too close to a portal. Sje ends up falling into human world.
