The only thing Touya is acutely aware of is how badly his hands are shaking. Childbirth is an experience, a horrible yet powerful thing that nature just throws on people that definitely aren't prepared for it -- Touya was definitely not prepared, not prepared for any of that bullshit, but he does admit to himself that it was probably the most superhuman thing he'd ever seen someone do, and that's coming from someone who's father is the highest ranked hero in the entire country of Japan.
Hayato is knocked the fuck out in the bed in the room; he was in labor for a *long* time, and their son definitely took his time coming out with the entire delivery process too -- Touya can't lie, it scared the shit out of him, made those anxious incessant intrusive thoughts run through his brain about how *wrong* everything could go. He wasn't surprised at how his boyfriend reacted; Hayato bawled, halfway out of exhaustion and halfway out of the relief that he was *okay* and he was finally *here,* but what did surprise Touya was the fact that he cried himself, as soon as he saw their son.
It was an odd experience; the adrenaline and endorphins surged immediately through his veins, up and down his spine, his limbs, and the tears sprung to his eyes immediately, didn't seem to stop for the next half an hour, and then they were on and off in spurts. Usually he cried when Hayato did, which was a fair bit; they were both messed up from the biological speed high they'd received from childbirth, and Touya's embarrassed to admit that he laid in the bed with Hayato and cried into his shoulder for a solid five minutes as they looked at the baby.
Tears are prickling at the edge of his vision again -- it's from a lot of things. He's happy, yeah, but he's worried and scared and anxious and guilty all at the same time. Fuyumi was really the only one who knew the truth; she'd told his mother (because Touya was too much of a pussy to do it on his own), but no one from either of their families actually knows that his son is finally *here.* He pulls his phone out of his pocket, unlocks it and scrolls through his contacts to find his sister's number, hovers his finger over the green call button -- and then Touya's crying again, because for some reason he's *terrified* to tell her, feels like this is the ultimate fucked up thing he's done to his family -- "hey, uh, how you doing? by the way, you're an aunt-uncle-grandparent," and he hesitates for a while before he sighs hard through his nose, clicks 'call' and waits for her to pick up.
It only takes a few rings; his sister sounds bleary, and he feels bad for a second, because it's a Thursday now and she definitely has to teach in about four hours. "Hello... ?" she says, clumsily, into the phone and Touya can practically feel her reaching for her glasses on the bedside table.
"Hey," Touya says softly, and then he feels his eyes start to get wet, not just wet but soaked, and on the other end of the line, Fuyumi's voice goes gentle, and she quietly asks "Touya... ? Is everything oka -- "
"*Yes,*" he chokes out, and for the first minute on the phone, all he can do is blubber and sniffle through his words, keeps doing it until Fuyumi raises her voice at him.
"Touya! Touya. Calm down. I can't even understand you. What's wro -- "
"He had the baby!" Touya hisses, but it's mostly out of an attempt to stay quiet, and he wants to jump up and down like a little kid on Christmas. "He had the baby, it's a boy, Fuyumi, and he is absolutely fucking *amazing -- "*
Fuyumi quietly squeals from excitement; they're both kids again for a second, Touya matching her high pitched sounds for a bit (not like he would *ever* fucking admit to it, but this is his twin sister), before he calms down, folds one of his hands under the arm that's holding the phone, just so he isn't standing there ranting and raving like a lunatic.
"Was it okay? Did he get an epidural? I hope Hayato's okay, birth is rough... how much did he weigh? What's he look like?" and there's a million other questions, but those are the ones Touya chooses to focus on.
"Yes, fuck no, he's okay, six pounds even, looks just like I did," and he starts laughing, because this whole thing is fucking crazy in itself, and he can hardly believe that after this phone call's over, he's going to go back into the room that has his fucking *kid* in it.
"Fuyumi. Listen to me. It was the most powerful thing I have ever seen. In my entire fucking life. More than anything dad ever did, like, I'm serious, it's fucking *insane* -- "
She cuts him off, and now she's laughing, too. "Okay, okay. I get it. Your boyfriend's even more of a superhero to you, and he's an *actual* superhero." Fuyumi yawns, and then she says "so, what about you? How are you, *Dad?"* and Touya's crying into the phone again, only stops because a nurse gives him an odd look as she walks by.
"I... I'm okay? Running off of adrenaline, I guess? My hands won't stop shaking." Touya is suddenly all too aware of that again. "But, um, I saw his head coming out? I'm sorry if that's gross, but it *is* gross, and he had red hair and I started freaking out a little, and then they asked me if I wanted to feel his head -- their heads feel like, practically mushy? It's so fucking weird -- and then his head came out and it got really real really fucking fast and the doctor was like "oh, do you wanna catch him?" and I just kinda looked at Hayato and he looked like he wanted to die, but I got in front and he just -- he came out so fucking *fast,* and I'm standing there like uhhhh, what the fuck do I do now, and I just kinda looked at Hayato again like "okay... " and Hayato got hit with the, the um, I don't know, instincts? And he was like give him to me, now, and I was like okay here because he started freaking me out, and then I cut the cord like two minutes later and before *that* we both started crying -- "
"Okay, okay!" Fuyumi's laughing full out now, and she pauses, clears her throat. "One other question. What did Hayato say when you told him the baby had red hair?"
"Oh, he told me to shut the fuck up. Immediately. A nurse laughed."
Fuyumi ugly laughs at that, and then Touya starts to, too, and they both feel a little crazy and delirious sharing the moment together. She calms down first, and when she speaks again, her voice is soft.
"I'm really happy for you, Touya. I am. I'm glad you called. I honestly didn't think you would."
His chest tightens at that, and Fuyumi snorts. She knows him too well. "... yeah. I know. You're right to think that," and there's a heavy silence that honestly makes him want to hang up.
"Well. I love you, Touya. I love Hayato and Asuka -- Asuka, right? That's his name?" Touya just makes a sound in response, and he can tell she's smiling again. "Well, I love them, too, and please, please call me in the morning when they're both feeling better so I can visit, okay?"
Touya is glad it's his sister he's on the phone with; Hayato probably wouldn't let anyone else in the room, not with the hormones going on right now, but Fuyumi is good with kids, and he likes her a lot, so Touya thinks everything will end up fine.
"Touya? You there?"
"Yeah," he says, shakes his head and repeats himself. "Yeah. We love you all, too."
"Touya?"
"What?"
"Go to bed."
And then he's laughing again, sighs at the end of it (the shaking's stopped; thank god.) "... I will. I'll actually sleep, I promise."
"Good. Get it now, cause you're not gonna get it when he comes hoooo~oommeee," and now he's reminded of why his sister is indeed irritating.
"I *know,* Fuyumi. Love you. Goodnight."
"Love you too," and there's the click from the other end of the phone.
Touya supposes it wasn't that horrible of a conversation after all.

Are you ready?
iKon 8th Member AU
Warning: Language (cursing)
May 2016
Asuka POV
To say I was nervous is an understatement of the year, but I try to put on my best face of confidence just like everyone else here. Damn Bobby and his persuasiveness, or maybe I just have a soft spot for the kid. I look around and take note that majority of the crowd is male and that makes me feel even smaller. Why the hell did I agree to this?
But while i'm lost in thought someone comes and stands next to me and I hadn't even noticed. “You seem like you're lost in thought, I've been standing here for almost 20 minutes trying to get your attention” He laughs and I instantly feel bad. “I'm so sorry Jae won.” But I can't help the smile that graces my face when I realize how close he's actually standing to me and I look away before my face gives away that i'm no longer nervous but about the fact that he's never been this close to me before. He's about to say something before my phone dings, I give him an apologetic look and check my phone and immediately but playfully roll my eyes the boys have made a group chat and called it
“winner winner chicken dinner” that sounds like a Yoon Hyung joke and it was horrid. Jinhwan is the first to send a message
Jinhwannieee: Don't be nervous nuna you got this!!
Leader BinBin: Yea Nuna don't let nerves get the best of you you've got this thing in the bag. Let them see why nobody is ready for Asuka!!! ❤️
Baby June: What he said. Don't be nervous and remember that you're my favorite! Sorry guys 😬
Granps (Song): I make her food so she likes me better!
Dongie Boo: Actually she likes me more if were picking favorites now.
Baby June: Nuh uh she definitely likes me more isn't that right nuna?
Bestie Bobby: Guys!!! 😐
Jae Won looks over my shoulder and laughs loudly while I just ignore the idiotic behavior and focus on calming my nerves and if they were trying to help do that they are doing a terrible job. “Are they always like this?” He asks. “Literally everyday. Even in their sleep.” He laughs again and I can't help but notice he has the cutest smile. But I also notice he thinks i'm joking but sadly i'm not. I once witnessed Chanwoo and June arguing in their sleep. Of course they had no recollection of the fight the next morning.
WE NEED EVERYONE TO LINE UP THE AUDITIONS WILL START IN 2 MINUTES!
Okay i'm fucked. Jae notices my nervousness is back and grabs my hand and rubs his thumb across the back of my hand and I freeze and look up at him and he looks back at me with the softest of eyes. “You've got this. I'll be here every step of the way...well i'll try to be” I smile, thankful for the encouraging words. I face forward and put my game face on. Jae starts rapping and I am in complete awe because I had never heard him rap before. He went from this soft beautiful man to rapping and cursing. Before i know it Jae has his chain and Dok2 is in front of me. I freeze but remember what the boys said. I do got this.
Stepped up in the game and dropped the whole world on its head. Murdered them on everything, dropping like a heavy crane, hard flow, bars dope, up here next to god flow, wish a bitch would and I would box her like some cardboard. Swag fuckin stupid I be on my bart and homer shit. Beat em, kill em, Eat em, put em on that organ donors list. I'm lyrically guillotine revive it just to kill a beat. You bitches put no fear in me, everybody talkin but aint bout nothing in this industry come and take a look i'm the realest and you're about to see so just gimme my crown.
Dok2 has the most emotionless face I have ever seen in my life and the dark glasses don't help. He stands there for a second and looks me up and down before bowing and I immediately think he didn't choose me, then I feel a nudge from Jae and look up and there it is, Dok2 holding a chain out to me with a small smile on his face. It takes every muscle, nerve and physical will in my body to keep me from screaming. I bow and take the chain from him then turn to Jae whose smile is just as big as mine. “See you did it!” he mouths to me. But someone always has to kill the mood. A guy in a grey sweatshirt comes from beside Jae with an upset look on his face. He shakes Jaes hand and stands in front of me. “Hey!! Are you serious?!! You gave her a chain and not me? My rap was better than hers and his if were being honest” Dok2 turns around and just looks at the guy “You were cursing way to much for my taste so I moved on and she” he says pointing at me. “Was better than you by far” Then he turns and walks away but not before grey sweatshirt guy takes more jabs at us then Dok2, and he's removed by security.
Skype with the boys is gonna be a blast.
Authors note: I hope you guys liked it!! I enjoyed writing this and trust me there is more to come with Asuka and SMTM 5!! Dont be afraid to tell me what you think!! And didnt we all just hate Grey Sweatshirt guy in real life? The song I sampled and kind of edited was Crown by Angel Haze I dont own any of the lyrics! 😆😆

Up, Up, and Away!
I heard you were going through a tough time right now so I wrote some robustshipping for you. I hope things get better for you eventually because you’re a cool person and you deserve some peace of mind.
When Kaito took Haruto to the amateur magician show at the park he honestly hadn’t expected much. Some basic sleight of hand, pulling a coin out from behind someone’s ear, guessing someone’s card, stuff like that. Nothing very remarkable but completely serviceable as entertainment for a kid Haruto’s age.
Boy, Kaito couldn’t have been more wrong.
“Ladies and Gentlemen!” bellowed the magician, “Watch as I make my lovely assistant lighter than air! Behold!”
And with a wave of his cane the beautiful girl beside him started floating up, up, up into the sky. The soles of her shoes just barely within the musician’s reach. And with a gentle push of his hand she was off. The audience let out a collective gasp. Somehow, without any wind or flapping, she flew effortless around the crowd, her hands free to wave to her adoring public below. If Kaito hadn’t known any better he would’ve mistaken her for an angel.
“Nii-sama, your cheeks are red. Have you been in the sun too long?”
“N-no, Haruto. I’m fine.”
She circled around a few more times before returning to the magician’s side. Irrationally, Kaito wished she had flown a little closer to him and Haruto.
“Great job, Asuka! You can come down now!”
“I would if I could,” her voice suddenly taking on an edge of distress, “but I just can’t! Oh, Sensei whatever will I do if I’m stuck like this forever!”
A wave of concern rippled through the children in the crowd.
“Yes, that would certainly be inconvenient.” The magician hummed himself, pondering what to do. Then his eyes lit up with an idea. “I got it! Quick, everybody pass your junk food up to the stage! Hotdogs! Funnel Cake! French fries! Anything is fine as long as it’s fatty!”
The girl kicked him. Her foot narrowly missed his head and instead knocked his ridiculous hat askew. The magician hadn’t even flinched. They must’ve practiced that move a lot.
“Sensei, be serious!”
“Right, right. Sorry,” he said as straightened out his hat, “Just having a little fun. But don’t worry! I know exactly what the problem is and it’s very easily fixed!”
“Really? That’s great, Sensei!”
“Yes! However, it’s a two man job. So I need someone very brave to help me out. Perhaps there is such a person in our audience today?”
Every child’s hand shot up, including Haruto’s, and since he was resting snugly on his older brother’s shoulders his hand rose far above the rest.
So of course he would attract the magician’s attention.
“Mr. Magician, Mr. Magician, pick my big brother! He’s the bestest big brother in the whole wide world. He’ll definitely be able to save your assistant!”
“Bestest big brother in the whole wide world, huh? Who am I to turn down someone with such high credentials! Please, bestest brother, step right on up.”
Kaito didn’t really want to be a part of the act but if Haruto wished it he could hardly refuse him. So gently he set Haruto on the ground and made his way to the stage. The crowded parted to let him pass and in no time at all he reached the makeshift stage. He climbed on and the stage shook a little from his weight.
“Thank you, sir! Everyone, a round of applause for the courageous young man!”
Like a good audience they clapped and cheered for him as asked. He would’ve preferred it if they saved it for after he done something worth applauding. It did nothing to alleviate the discomfort he felt on stage either. A discomfort, if he was being totally honest with himself, which had nothing to do with the crowd and everything to do with the girl hovering above him. Just knowing she was so close had his stomach doing back flips. Which didn’t make any sense so he elected to ignore his body and focus on scanning the crowd for Haruto instead. But he couldn’t find him before the Magician was demanding his attention again.
“Young man, this is a very delicate situation so you must do exactly as I say. If you don’t our dear Asuka may never come down again! Are you absolutely certain you can do this?”
Kaito shrugged. How hard could it be?
The magician smiled and slapped him so hard on the back he knocked the air right out of his lungs. “Good! Here’s what you have to do.”
The magician leaned in close and whispered the instructions into his ear. The crowd had no idea what he said but somehow it made Kaito’s face turn a bright crimson.
“I am not doing that,” he said firmly.
“You have to! It’s the only way!”
Kaito was about to tell the man tough toenails and be on his way when…
“Please, sir! I don’t want to be a blimp for the rest of my life!”
It was that girl. Asuka. Kaito rolled his eyes. If she could crack a joke she was obviously not in any immediate danger. Someone else could go get her. He was leaving with his dignity intact.
“Wait! Don’t go!”
He looked up at her in surprise. That was the first time she had addressed him directly. Up until now she had been talking to the crowd. It was way more effective than it should have been. Just as he couldn’t say no to Haruto earlier, he found he couldn’t say no to her either.
“…okay.”
“Splendid, splendid! Then there’s no time to waste! We can’t keep the lady waiting!”
But before Kaito could ask how he would even get to her without a ladder, the magician waved his cane again and just as Asuka had he started floating up, up, up into the air.
“What the…!”
How was he flying? It shouldn’t be possible! Not without wires of some kind and he would definitely feel if he had been wired up.
“No time to lollygag! Hop to it!”
And suddenly he was being pulled towards Asuka, like a needle to a magnet. It was a strange sensation, to say the least, and one he could not say he cared for.
He didn’t need to worry about it for too much longer though because as soon he was face to face with Asuka the mysterious force disappeared. He was still suspended in the air, something was holding him up, but it wasn’t the same force as before. So he “stood” there, looking into her eyes, confusion evident on his face. How was any of this possible?
“Young man, are you alright? I don’t need to send someone to rescue you too, do I?”
The crowd laughed his joke and for what felt like the thousandth time that day Kaito’s face flushed.
“He’s okay! Just enjoying the view,” Asuka yelled back.
“Seriously though, are you alright?”
For a second Kaito’s mind went blank. She had leaned in and her face was now a centimeter from his. It was the first time he’d been this close to a girl, much less one this pretty.
Kaito shook himself. There were more important matters to focus on. Like how he was floating.
“How is this possible?”
“Magic, of course.”
Kaito suppressed a groan, remembering the old adage about magicians never revealing their secrets.
“Hey don’t you have a little something for me? In your jacket pocket, maybe?”
That surprised Kaito. The magician had indeed slipped something into his pocket for this little performance but it happened so fast that not even Kaito had caught him doing it. It was as if one second his pockets had been empty and the next the prop was just there.
“Er-yes.” He took out the rose out of his pocket. It was blue like her jacket and surprisingly unruffled. “For you.” There, he gave it to her. The magician would just have to be satisfied with that cause no way in hell was he going to say something as cheesy as for loveliest rose of all.
Asuka accepted the rose with all the dignity and grace of an actor pretending nothing was wrong when someone had obviously botched their lines.
“Thank you. It’s beauti—ouch!” She gave an exaggerated yelp of pain and quickly stuck her finger into her mouth. She was acting as if though she’d been pricked when in reality the stem was bare.
Then, faintly at first, he heard it. The unmistakable sound of helium escaping a balloon. And as Asuka sunk lower and lower and lower the sound got louder and louder and louder. Kaito, however, followed her down silently. It was like the gentle, gradual release of a pressure he hadn’t even known was there.
When the both of them finally touched down on the stage, the crowd burst into applause. The beautiful assistant was once again firmly on the ground.
“Good job, young man!” The magician tried giving Kaito another pat on the back but this time Kaito was prepared. If the magician was bothered that he dodged he didn’t show it though, still flashing him that big, dopey grin.
“But wait, Sensei! There’s still one thing I don’t get.”
Only one thing?
“Yes, Asuka?” The magician turned to face her. “And what’s that?”
“Why did you need a volunteer? Couldn’t you have just come up and given me the rose yourself?”
Kaito whipped his head around to look at her too. There was a genuine note of curiosity and confusion in her question. And the way her brows furrowed and her head tilted ever so slightly to the side just confirmed it. Could it be that he wasn’t supposed to be a part of the act?
The magician just laughed.
“That’s simple really! Between a handsome prince and an old geezer like myself which would a young lady prefer to get a flower from?”
The crowd laughed along, some even screaming out “handsome prince!”
The only people completely silent were the two mortified teenagers standing stiffly on the stage, their faces an identical shade of red.
