thinking about the implications of the suitless Vader au. thinking about what it means for those who wouldn't have supported the Empire, because the excuse of the Jedi being corrupt was a little too convenient, to see the poster boy of the war movement and one of the most well known Jedi, throwing their support behind the overthrowing of the Republic. the implications of having Anakin Skywalker, and not just the menacing unknown that was Darth Vader, decry the actions of the Order and the corruption of the Republic. how it must feel for Obi-wan and Ahsoka and everyone who ever knew him, to see the face of the man they once loved, standing side-by-side with the man responsible for bringing about the end of it all.

#i know everytime they saw vader a part of them knew they were seeing anakin too #but I'm thinking about the times both obi and ahsoka have fought him and shattered the mask #and that moment of 'oh. this really is anakin beneath the mask' . theres no more being able to fool themselves into believing otherwise #no more pretending that vader isnt the man they used to love #but in the suitless au theres none of that #everytime they look at the latest propaganda piece on the holonet they'd be faced with the reality #that their brother betrayed them #star wars #anakin skywalker #darth vader #suitless vader
