Just ordinary life can be incredibly enjoyable.

is this my first one-shot/drabble where it's actually pure happiness? maybe...

It has been raining for days on end.

Normally, you weren't the biggest fan of rainy days. After all, everything becomes messy when it rains. But if rainy days meant you could spend the whole day at home with your boyfriend doing nothing? Then rain season would be your favorite season.

You woke up with Jisung still beside you, asleep like a little baby, and you couldn't help but lean down to kiss his forehead. To be honest, you weren't very used to waking up with him by your side. For most days, he's long gone to work by the time you wake up. But now they were on their vacation, and you had two whole weeks together.

You grabbed your phone from the nightstand, unlocked it, and sneakily snapped a picture of Jisung asleep.

But your phone betrayed you, for you forgot to turn off your shutter.

"Hmmm…… Y/N?" Hearing the sound of the shutter, Jisung woke up and rubbed his eyes, trying to wipe the sleepiness out of them.

"Good morning, Sungie." You hastily turned your phone off and tossed it to the side, pretending you hadn't done anything earlier.

Taking pictures of each other was one of those things that could be considered a little competition between the two of you. You both had hundreds of cute pictures of each other saved on your phones. Whether it's when you're asleep, when you're eating, when you turn around without thinking, or any other time. When you lie in bed together at night, you show them to each other.

"Damn it… I can't believe you got up before me…… I guess I can't take pictures of you asleep today."

Speaking of which, because he always wakes up before you to go to work, he has a lot more of you asleep on his phone than you have of him. It's rare to get a picture of him sleeping.

"Did the shutter sound wake you up? I'm sorry…"

Jisung shook his head, reaching out and pulling you into his arms, his chin resting on your shoulder and nuzzling. This was one of his little habits, a way of showing intimacy, if you will. It seems he's in a good mood today.

"It's still raining today……?"

"Yeah, can't go out again."

"Well, I didn't want to go out anyway……"

Your boyfriend basically stayed at home whenever he didn't need to go out. The rainy weather was arguably the best excuse.

You smiled and left his embrace, followed by a lazy stretch with a yawn. He did too, his eyes still misty.

"Do you want to watch a movie?"

Hearing about watching a movie, he immediately opened his round eyes. His eyes filled with tears from the yawning.

After a moment of thinking, he nodded.

"Howl's Moving Castle?"

"Howl's Moving Castle."

He was pretty restrained during the earlier stages of your relationship, not willing to show his wants and needs even during intimate times. For him at that time, holding hands was perhaps the maximum he could do. But recently, not sure since when, perhaps he finally understood how much you liked how close he wanted to be with you, he was now like your personal pendant. Not even willing to walk on his own. You had to carry him around everywhere.

When you got to the couch, you patted the seat next to you, signaling him to sit down. But he began to whine again, refusing to get off of you.

"If you don't get off, you won't be able to see anything."

"I can just listen, I've seen it hundreds of times anyway, I've memorized the plot and lines."

This was true, he didn't need to look at the TV screen to understand Howl's Moving Castle.

"So you want to stay like this? Do you want me to get you a blanket?"

He let out a "hmmh", pondering for a moment, but finally shook his head.

"Your body is warm enough."

With that, you reached out and stroked the adorably rounded back of his head, leaving a kiss on his shoulder.

"Good, then I'll start the movie."

The rain outside dripped on the window, the only light source inside the house was from the TV.

You smoothed Jisung's back slowly, helping him adjust his posture every now and then.

It didn't take long for Jisung to fall back to sleep again.

The fact that he could fall asleep on you must be proof of how much he trusted you, right?

For fear of disturbing Jisung, you deliberately turned down the volume and slowed down your breathing as well.

If every day could be as ordinary and happy as today, life would be perfect.

Also there is a bit of internalized homophobia-

Sarah stared at the shorter blonde on the other side of the gazebo, who was chatting with her boyfriend, as she worked on tuning Tim's ukelele. The gazebo had soon turned into a sort of meeting area for the group after they had found it and decided it would be used for Alex's movie.

Today they were going to be working on just brainstorming a little bit for a few scenes, mainly the music and little details they wants to add before they started filming. Since Jay, Amy, and Tim were all musicly gifted (Jay with the bass guitar, Tim with the ukulele and writing, and Amy with guitar and vocals), they were all invited to come help. Sarah was dragged there though to help with the clothing choices, since Alex learned that designing was her side gig, and realized she was good with what things really meant to the viewer when they looked at a character's fashion choices.

Sarah couldn't take her eyes off the woman though, Amy, Alex's girlfriend. She knew that the woman didn't come to the shoots or to help them out with things very often, but the times when she did, Sarah hated it.

There was always this feeling when Amy was around that Sarah couldn't stand. Her bubbly nature always just felt..wrong. Her voice was annoying. Her style was weird.

Every time Sarah saw her, Amy always made her want to punch something. There was always a guy feeling, one that made her feel nervous around her, and just off. It felt weird, and honestly was annoying. Amy wasn't intimidating or honestly at all threatening. Sarah shouldn't be getting so cared around her.

Maybe she was jealous. Jealous that Amy was going to take everything away from her. After all, Alex and Seth were both Sarah's best friends, yet they both seemed to be people Amy hung out with so much. What if they didn't have time for her anymore?

That was probably it.

Sarah blew a strand of brown hair out of her face and glanced over at Jay, who seemed to be struggling to remember how to play the instrument in his arms. Her gaze softened as she reached over to help him, only to suddenly see Amy swiftly walk over.

"Jay, need some help there?"

Sarah quickly leaned back away from Jay, away from her as she narrowed her eyes at her. The feeling was back.

Jay looked up and gave an awkward grin.

"Yeah, if you could- I'm a little rusty in this, I haven't played since I started college."

Amy smiled and stood right between Sarah and him, pointing to the spots to put his fingers, in hope to refresh his memory a bit.

Sarah rolled her eyes and turned her head the other direction. F**k Amy. Didn't even give her a chance to try helping her friend. F**k her. She's doing this on purpose.

Sure, Amy was a lot more experienced in the instrument, and Sarah didn't really know much other than the basics, but she still could've tried to help.

As Sarah shifted in her spot to lean against the railing of the gazebo, she felt her hand brush the shoulder of the blonde next to her and shifting her blonde hair, causing her to jump and pull away.

"I- Sh*t, sorry-" she blurted out.

Amy glanced over, flinching a little bit away from Sarah before giving a little smile.

"Oh, don't worry, you're okay-" She turned back to Jay.

Sarah felt her face heat up and her stomach get a little queasy. Goddamnit, now she embarrassed herself- Wait, why should she care? She shouldn't, she was fine.

She swallowed and walks away, over towards Tim who was sat on the ground with his newly tuned ukelele. He briefly looked up at her, before shaking his head.

"Jesus Christ, just tell her already."

"Shut. Up."

"She probably knows by now."

"Wright. She can probably hear you."

Tim rolled his eyes, before narrowing his eyes at her and whispers to his friend.

"You can't deny it anymore. You know it's true."

Sarah stared at the ground and put her head in her hand before turning to Amy, who seemed to not have heard them thankfully.

She could deny it all she wanted to.

She wasn't in love with Amy.

She hated her.

....She had to hate her.
