update on that apolluke steam bison idea. i made it heart wrenchingly angsty. theres now two ways the au could go. snufkin is climbing over the fence of the au and my brain is desperately trying to make a keep out sign keep him out.
but chapter 3 on the fic im actually writing is, at the very least, going well. might be splitting it into chapter former and trial latter, depends on the word count
LMAO MAKING A KEEP OUT SIGN IS ONLY GOING TO ENCOURAGE HIM TO KEEP BREAKING IN XD
Snufkins are *notoriously* bad at keeping out of where they're not supposed to be hahaha.
But ooh hey I am all for angst!! And also excited for the trial!!! Hell yeah!!!

now that you mention it people really should put shuake in more situations as in whimsical ones if im being honest. make them cook rice together is what im saying. maybe goro makes it competitive and akiren doesnt wanna lose and it ends in the most unorthodox stalemate in the world. theres so much you can do with these two its so endearing

I want more Givenson fic with jealous Raylan but not the possessive kind more like he didn't realize he has feelings for Tim & doesn't know how to handle it type thing
and it could be because of anything like an OMC or whatever but I'm also digging the idea of a temporary Boyd/Tim thing whether it's just a flirtatious thing or an enemies with benefits hookup thing or something IDK but Boyd is so smooth & charismatic & also can be manipulative & just the idea of him getting under Tim's skin??
and like I'm a sucker for low key jealous/insecure Tim (who definitely has feelings for Raylan & knows it) especially in regards to Raylan's history with Boyd & like Boyd maybe playing on that a bit but the idea of him also being able to get under Raylan's skin about Tim??
basically I guess I want an endgame Givenson fic in which Boyd is an instigator with all the jealousy miscommunication hurt/comfort romance mutual pining Raylan/Tim goodness?

So we have seen how the professor shows that he likes captain Cyllene, but what about Ingo?
(so I still haven't gotten anywhere near as caught up with any other submas content as I should have so this is still primarily going off of the vibes he gives off in PLA and also me reading the entire quotes section of his bulbapedia page BUT)
He seems like a really considerate guy who pays attention to what people like/are interested in and is also like, very supportive of said interests, especially ones focused on skills and bettering oneself, so I imagine it's a lot of spending time together, listening to her talk about sword stuff or being a Captain, encouraging her to practice with her sword if she mentions missing it, offering advice, stuff like that.
I also absolutely believe Cyllene is frugal as hell and refuses to spend money on anything non-essential even if it's something she really wants so I figure anyone who woos her would probably end up buying her small gifts(and they would be small cuz her tastes seem to skew towards simple and understated stuff) which would be the thing to tip her off about any ~feelings~ at which point she'd be like "oh... o////o"
He could also try to befriend Abra...but Abra gives me big "cat who doesn't like anyone other than their owner" vibes, and I also doubt abras enjoy being around loud noises so I figure Abra isn't really a fan of Laventon or Ingo and they would both have to resort to bribery to bridge that gap.
kskj;dsfk sorry also just remembered in Mulan where Shang pulls the "You fight good." and I can't decide if it would be funnier for Laventon to say that 'cuz he doesn't know anything about martial arts but wants to be supportive or if it would be better to discover if it's possible to get Ingo SO flustered that his ability to articulate his thoughts degrades that badly. Actually, it's both. Both are hilarious.

OH MY GOD and ganon? like what’s his deal
ok so. again the more recent games don't have much ganon (of the 4 I've played, only totk has ganondorf, the man, and he's not super important story wise beyond being a guy to fight. botw's enemy is ganon, as a miasma creature of hatred, and skyward sword's enemy is demise, who is not ganon. technically. and then link's awakening is not a standard zelda plot. so no ganon) the older games have more ganon, so I'm working with largely secondhand knowledge, but basically... nintendo will not give this man any sort of depth. he has some? in windwaker? to my understanding, i have not finished that one. but windwaker takes place in a hyrule that's been flooded and ganon always has a really long lifespan so he was there when it flooded and his people were suffering and he was trying to protect them idk the specifics and I don’t know how well done it is but it's there. and then in the rest of the games he's just evil for the sake of being evil?? which, if meant to be because he holds the triforce of power is dumb, because if there's three pieces of something the logical story conclusion isn't that one is automatically bad it's that all three should join in harmony. duh. they won't give him a real motivation for evil beyond conquering for conquering's sake, so if he HAS to be evil I think it'd be more interesting if they made him a victim of demise's curse? like, demise's curse demands a vessel for evil, if hylia's descendant always has the triforce of wisdom and her champion always has the triforce of courage, it'd make sense for demise to take the third piece, the holder of power. so like what if. this guy was just trying to be a good person, a good leader, but knowing from history books, from every ganondorf that has come before, and the triangle in the center of your hand, that you are predestined for evil, that hylia's vessel and her champion will cut you down one day. imagine fighting it. imagine being unable to. I JUST THINK IT COULD BE REALLY FUCKED UP. (also imagine a ganon who is on good terms with zelda and link. imagine having to be cut down by your friends. imagine having to cut down your friend)
the real world reason they won't give him any depth though is racism most likely. so. ganon looks like this in ocarina of time (his first appearance as a man, prior games ganon was just a creature again)
I'm sure you already know what zelda and link look like. he's from a desert tribe called the gerudo (a race of all women btw ganon is the only man they have one man born every hundred years they make him king) who are, in oot, referred to as a tribe of bandits and whatnot they just steal and attack you, so it's like. it's pretty obvious what's going on here, and the gerudo are characterized better in botw although their character design is still very orentalist which is an issue that doesn't really show through THIS ganon's design but IS an issue I promise go look up the gerudo women it's the jasmine in aladdin thing all over again. anyway. so. nintendo this man could be so cool and interesting PLEASEEEEEEE

I sometimes think about the person who blocked me out of nowhere on twitter and ao3 when I thought we were still friends, because she couldn't stand to see my words or thoughts or ideas, but admitted she still lurked on my tumblr because "the art is nice".
I also sometimes think about the person who would post my art in discord servers to gush about how good it was but that "it's a shame she's such a bitch" and sent me anon hate for 2 years because I drew my ot3 which happened to contain the two characters of her ship but she hated the third character.
Or the exes and ex-friends who would guilt trip me into making art for them dozens if not hundreds of times, only to tell me my art was shit anyway after we broke up.
I don't think about them because any of them matter or because I'm particularly scorned or anything, but because people like this build up into a bigger problem: people treating artists like they aren't also people.
People who think that art is a commodity that is owed to them, but simultaneously can be used as a weapon to cut down the person who created the art. People who think that the person that created the art is worthless but their creations that took hours, days, weeks, of sweat and tears and sometimes a little bit of their soul are free for the taking without a second thought about how that art came into being. People who will nitpick and complain in tags or replies thinking the artist somehow won't see it, or who will send entitled asks about why the artist did or didn't draw this or that, or who will wish death upon the artist for drawing something that they personally didn't like.
I think it would be cool if we could all start acting like the people behind art are real people. Because they are.
