Hmm....how hard can large scale mosaic possibly be? I feel like my plans for the room I'm working on could use something really shiny and impactful and maybe I want to make a fold-down cutting table and maybe I want to do it out of mosaic, even though that will be ungodly heavy.
It's a fun idea. I'm not sure if it's a good idea.
I haven't done mosaic since a one-off high school art class but I feel like the component skills are ones I already have, sooooo....
I have been keeping to a blue and gold celestial theme for both my guest room and my art workspaces, because if and when I move those spaces are likely to be combined. Cutting table, even though it would be for a different room, falls in the same vein, so I'm thinking something with a nice dark night sky and maybe some branches or leaves...

I love how most of the muscular characters in dungeon meshi are built like real fucking strong people it's so much better than a lot of other anime and manga I've seen where this twink built mf has abs drawn on them and it's called a day.
It's like gross to see
Like get away from me boy the fact you are built like that is scary and is also adding bad stereo types of what bodies should look like
Super heros and a bunch of other media has this issue too
Just make them look like real people it's not that hard aauuughhh

i think i busted my 3d printer hot end trying to replace a nozzle (tip: a wrench is better than a pair of pliers when you need to grip something in a way that it cannot be wiggled around!) so i got a replacement one, which arrived with a huge kink in the tubing that filament can't pass through, so i guess i'm just going to replace/upgrade the tubing too while my poor machine is out of commission because at this point i might as well

office girl(?) fit
---
I really like this blazer I found in a thrift shop a while back. it's short sleeves, light but not see through, very soft, and doesn't make my shoulders look huge. very good lucky find :)

‘oooo printers are so mean and scary’ rip to you but I’m built different. my printer eats oats from my hand. the printer at work lets me print double sided papers without so much as a whinny. don’t get me started on the office copy machine we have a bond you couldn’t comprehend.

something about kenirchiro's design that makes me angry is that NONE of these blues are the same
like if you ignore the fact that his outfit is wack and there is too much going on
none of these blues are the same and I know it's small but it makes me so annoyed...
like shit just have the deep blue on his arm band, a light blue for details, and then have all his hair be the same blue... not that hard!

(Colonel) What was the weirdest thing you ever fought?
"I had to put down a malfunctioning fabricator for the science branch once. It flailed its dozens of arms so intensely that it had snapped the pole they tried to use to turn it off, and the force of its movements were enough to cause it to hop around slightly. By the time I had gotten there, it had shot sharp metal wires all over the lab until it had run out of material, and was making an awful grinding sound in the corner. Most of the staff had taken cover behind some overturned tables."
"Even though it was an expensive piece of equipment, the scientists had enough of its reign of terror, and just asked me to destroy it so they could get back to work."
"I could have cut it in half with a single shockwave, but that attack was too destructive to use in the lab. So - I found a fire axe, waited for an opening, and threw it like a tomahawk at the fabricator. I managed to take it out in one hit."
Colonel paused, making a small, amused smile as he reflected on the experience.
"I can laugh at this situation now, but at the time I was far from pleased..."
