While my family & I are on “staycation”, this has been the week to reset and return to my artistic roots!! I created two photo note cards for two clients that I wrote features on for work. Inside the cards were photos and news clippings I sent back to my clients! And getting into Halloween season, I finally painted the wooden Jack-O-Lantern I got at the Dollar Tree some time ago and hung it in a window!! This week, I covered a good news piece & a sad story on Monday evening. The good news story was at the Brunswick Elks Lodge where 64 spaghetti dinners were made & $861 dollars was raised for South Troy,NY womens veterans home, Christopher’s House. The sad news, a local resident from my neighborhood was deceased in a pedestrian-automobile accident within walking distance from home. The incident was featured briefly late evening on News10ABC. #SundayFlashback: Happy Sunday everyone!! To think exactly a year ago (11/8/2019), my boss and I were featured on News10 ABC @news10abc. The news station was filming a press conference that Antonio Delgado & other delegates were putting on at the Brunswick Elks Lodge. My boss, Doug LaRocque, has asked me to take photos for him for his story that he was doing for this press conference. Earlier that morning, I was covering Delgado’s presentation to the Town of Berlin Veterans and students at Berlin High School for “The Eastwick Press” that he gave just before heading to Brunswick for this press briefing. This was neat to be featured on the news that day, even if it was just sitting photographing the event for work. Happy Sunday!! Enjoy this beautiful day we’re having while it lasts!! #SundayFunday: Happy “Sunday Funday”!! I had a nice ‘Sunday Funday’ in the Town of Brunswick and the City of Troy, NY!! This afternoon, I attended the “Annual Car Show” Held At The Brunswick Elks Lodge & went to Power’s Park to watch the cover band, “Playback Rocks” close out the Power’s Park Concert Series. Over 178 vehicles were on display as part of this year’s show, the largest the Brunswick Elks Lodge has ever had since the car show inception! It’s been 2 years since I first covered this event for “The Eastwick Press”. And for my second time seeing “Playback Rocks” perform live, the trio was funny, entertaining, and put on a great show!! Thank you Gino and company for giving me some cool band souvenirs after the gig, thank you for the shout out, and for rocking out to a great show!! Thank you to all involved with the Power’s Park Concert Series for putting on a successful event this year. Be sure to attend this year’s Uncle Sam Jam in two weeks at Knickerbocker Park!! #ThrowbackThursday & #BlackAndWhitePhotoChallengeDayOne: I'm happy to share with you my first news story that I covered for "The Eastwick Press", Eastern Rensselaer County's Community Newspaper, titled "A Sunny Day And Lots Of Cars On Display In Brunswick". I had attended and photo shot the 4th Annual Lazzaro's Autobody Car And Truck Show held at the Brunswick Elks Lodge in Troy,NY this past August! It was a nice warm day to check out these cool classic cars and trucks for the first time at this particular event and venue. I hadn't attended a car show within the past three years! Good Evening Tumblr Followers!! I’m happy to share with you my first ever contribution to a local Upstate New York newsweekly, “The Eastwick Press”. “The Eastwick Press” is a local newsweekly that covers news stories for the eastern sections of Rensselaer County (Brunswick, Grafton, Stephentown, Petersburg, Hoosick Falls, etc.) and other towns and cities within Rensselaer County since 1992. I have recently joined the newsweekly less than a few weeks ago and will be contributing to the paper as a sports and events photographer, as well as write reviews for various events that occur within the community!! I’m very happy to be able to join their team and I’m looking forward to seeing where this opportunity is going to take me in the future!!
