The fact that Joseph Gordon Levitt (sp?) as in 1 ep he's iconic as buddy bc I still remember him and the fans will always remember him and how he's the og of "when in doubt." not Craig and Marco but Eric and Buddy. He might not be gay but like it simply worked.✨️

Rewrite Sean from his s4 departure!

There are a lot of way I’d write him! And I do think him coming back was a lot of great potential! Also ideally, I see him coming back for Ellie but I can cover a semma endgame here (since ik you ship them)

In season 5, Emma would visit him in Wasaga and he’d be there for her during her ED. They’d end up staying in touch and emailing frequently.

Sean still comes back in season 6 but since Emma isn’t with Peter here (he got expelled in s5 😂), they wouldn’t be any obstacles and they’d get back together the moment he arrives. Sean would continue his term at Degrassi as well. Also he already knows about Emma and Jay, so there won’t be any big blowout.

He’d stay in s7, so none of the whole pregnancy thing would happen. Sean would finish up school, graduate, and run his own shop just like he planned. Eventually he and Emma would get married and live happily ever after.

You're making me wanna rewatch shameless I never got past s7. I don’t really remember much. Early shameless tho was soo good. I liked Ian and hated how micky treated him for the time but I think it was how he was raised. Riley hated himself too for being gay on degrassi but mickey had it worse. So he hid until he couldn't which is sad. And his dad was ugh. And then forced him to marry the Russian girl bc he didn't want a gay son. I like when he came out to everyone at the bar and was like I just want everyone to know I'm gay. He would rather get arrested than participate in his dads dealing. Way to go. From then on he was free. He had issues I'm sure after but idk for sure bc I stopped watching but maybe I should give it another go.

You should. Only on s3 and I love this show! I love Fiona/Jimmy and just want them to make up. And I’m already shipping Ian/Mickey. I HATE Mandy tho SO MUCH.

I hate the way Cheryl treats Toni and it seems like Toni didn’t have a lot of agency with her. Plus it’s canon that Cheryl gaslit her and said that she hated seeing Toni happy.

For Toni, I really liked the idea of her and Veronica being together. Veronica is also a fave of mine and I loved their interactions. I also liked the idea of Toni/Jughead. They had crazy chemistry in s2 imo. And I may be in the minority but I liked Toni/Fangs together.

Not a huge Cheryl fan, but her and Heather seemed sweet from what I’ve heard.

Thoughts on Amy ? Sean's ex after Emma arguably a rebound, pre Sellie and Alex's former friend and candy bandit. Are you curious about what could have been? I use her as a drama device in fics sometimes. I'd say in canon unimportant or forgettable lol but had a lil potential or had some backstory.

What would you do differently?

I didn’t care much for Amy. Thought she was kinda annoying but good for drama. But thinking now, she did have a lot of potential.

What I’d change is that for starters, I’d have some characters mention that she left degrassi. And also show flashbacks of her friendship with Alex and emphasize that the main reason Alex was hurt was moreso Amy’s betrayal and less to do with Jay himself being a cheater (while I see Alex feeling betrayed because she was cheated on, at the same time, it didn’t seem like she was in love with him)

I’d maybe show her doing well in her life and patch things up with Alex. Amy would be one of the maids of honor for palex’s wedding.

For starters, Donna would have sisters her entire run. Also she wouldn’t be treated as a god, but as a human being who makes mistakes.

Donna would still be in contact with Midge and talk on the phone. But still misses her nevertheless. And I’d actually acknowledge that she was being groomed by Casey Kelso (17 and 21? Not cute or funny writers.)

I actually like his character arc in canon but I’d show more of his friendship with Alex in s7. Also the idea of Jay dating Holly J while on his “break” with Manny makes me laugh. Mostly as a crackship tho, since she’d be 16 and he’s 21.

I’d show some bits of him and Emma interacting as friends too <3

Also he and Manny get married with Jiberty instead of Sp*mma

i know kelso treated jackie shitty (damn i can't control the weather/cheating with laurie and most likely others no confirmation for sure for the others) but hyde would say mean things to jackie or invalidate their relationship or whatever. that was his schtick, hyde had 'issues' everyone in the show did but i think hyde had it rough at home, maybeits part of the reason he and jackie jived well because they both had issues with their parents/home lives. hydes were so bad that the formans took him in and arguably jackie too at one time before they were caught together. however the difference between kelso and hyde is hyde did love jackie but he would SHOW IT in his actions and less in his words. it was rare to see a sensitive side but when he showed it was lovely. he was more of a sarcastic type or dead pan, where kelso didn't give a shit, or played ignorant until it mattered 11th hour salvage and it was just complicated and jackie was pretty much done. neither was perfect. i really do not like that in that 90's show she's like with kelso (better than being with fez but irl mila and kutcher are together) but i don't think jackie was happy with either. kelso was a horrible bf! he had moments but he was horrible to her. she seemed unhappy with kelso from the glimpse we saw while married (their son is literally kelso too, yikes and jackie abandoning fez to run off with kelso storyline doesn't seem jackie at all!) obviously, we couldn't have 90's puddin'pops hydejackie in any capacity (is he canon like jail?) or not around for some other reason/relocated/off the grid (irl it was the allegations/case around masterson) but in the show maybe it was jail bc he always would joke about it/family in jail/being generally criminal/popped for weed who knows since 1979-1980 when t70's ended and 90s when t90's show started/was going on in like the mid-90's. also there were the 1980's drug scene/war on drugs times perhaps he got into harder drugs and then jail and stuff bc laws and he was anti pretty much establishment or heavily implied to be so yeah. jackie was obviously not a criminal so ...

am i making sense? i hope so. so there you have it. that's how i see it in terms of jackie's relationships on that 70's show/present. i'd love to hear what you think? (there are things i missed, unfortunately. idk where i left off but i do know about the endgame things. i do know that the last season sucked! that so many things were off probably contributed to its ending/rushed/unsatisfying endings for beloved characters and stuff with few exceptions.) let me know what you think?

One of thing I love so much about J/H is that they’re an ‘actions speak louder than words’ kind of ship. It’s wasn’t about status or good looks *cough j*lso*

Hyde treats Jackie with respect and loves her for who she is while also calling her out on her bs (Fez and Kelso worship the ground she walks on and Kelso seems too scared to call her out.) They don’t need any of that shiny stuff or status to show how real they are (which is why I lol at anyone comparing them to chuck/blair. They’re clearly dan/blair.).

Jackie inspires Hyde to be more in touch with his emotions and his softer side. He smiles more with her, he seems lighter around her. He can let his walls down with her. One of the only complaints I have about them is that sometimes I feel like Hyde doesn’t really trust Jackie. Like instead of confronting Jackie on whether she was cheating in s5, he ends up cheating. And in s7, when he saw the towel thing, he just left and fucked a stripper in Las Vegas. Not to mention that he STILL kept bringing up the “get off my boyfriend” incident TWO MONTHS after it happened. But for the most part, they’re a great couple.

J/K is self explanatory. Their foundation is bonding over their good looks and what not. There’s nothing substantial about their relationship. All they do is bitch at each other more than half of the time. Not to mention, Kelso kept cheating on her with no guilt. (He only felt sorry that he found out) Also I will never get over Kelso putting the blame on Jackie for his cheating. Like sir, there’s a such thing as having a conversation. Even yelling would be more mature than this or BREAK UP WITH HER.

i feel the way you feel about cheryl and toni, or anti ch*ni as i do for palex 90 percent of the time. they had a lot of potential and with promise, but paige is mean to alex and treats her like shit a lot. "you don't have a future" and how their relationship ending with paige casting her out after taking her in and the whole job thing (alex of course played a role) but paige seemed to be fucking up their relationship a lot sabotoguing and making it about her. it takes two to tango, and alex gets punished for speaking up and standing up for herself. fuck that. no offense.

I love Palex but yeah, in season 7, I didn’t like the way Alex’s departure went. Like with Palex, there was so much potential for them but in s6, with the whole J*sse thing is just…

Also looking back, I kind of wish Paige showed more empathy about Alex being a stripper. Though it’s been a while since I watched s6, but like I feel for Alex. She had such a terrible home life and the fact that she was doing all this for her shitty mom and bf makes me sad.
