There’s a fuzziness behind your eyes, like the static of Taesan’s old records that has you reeling, head tilting back against the seat of the scratchy sofa. 

You stay like that for a bit, letting your thoughts drown out the faint hum of noises bouncing around the walls of Leehan’s basement. Thinking of nothing and everything. Losing yourself in the haze. 

There's a drag of cold fingertips against your cheeks, wandering to tuck your stray hairs behind your ear, that brings you back. The same touch tugs at the lobe gently to coax your eyes open. 

You’re rewarded with a glimpse of Taesan’s soft eyes as he takes you in. The lazy smile that pulls a bit wider at your lips, and the breathless laugh that escapes them as you reach out for him instinctively. 

Taesan obliges, like he always does, scooping you up from your spot on the floor to flop unceremoniously half on the sofa, half on his lap. 

“You’re finally here. I missed you, you took fucking forever,” you complain with a stifled yawn. A swift kiss is pressed to your cheek, the silent apology accepted with a roll of your eyes. 

“You can't possibly have missed me that much. Looks like you were having tons of fun on your own, getting started without me,” Taesan teases. His hands slide under the hem of your shirt to rub at the small of your back, snorting as you jolt at the icy temperature. 

You try to wiggle away from his frosty touch but Taesan only snakes his arms around you tighter, trailing goosebumps across your skin. “I didn't have much choice,” you grumble, “It was either smoke or have Jaehyun hog and finish it all before I can even get a whiff.” 

There's a faint yell of indignation from across the room that you ignore, instead busying yourself with untangling Taesan’s chains. You follow and separate the twists in the links up towards his neck. Your boyfriend stills his motions, busying himself instead with admiring the way your brows knit as you pull them apart.

(It was a mystery to you how Taesan’s necklaces always managed to get so tangled. You could never recall him having such problems before you started dating. Luckily for him, you were more than happy to indulge his whims and untangle them at the beginning of every meeting.)

When you’re nearly done, and you've reached the nape of his neck, the pads of your fingers brush against the long strands of Taesan’s overgrown hair. They come back cold, and you freeze looking up to blink at him owlishly, “your hair’s wet,” you say, voice tinged with bewilderment. 

Taesan leans back in a laugh, hands too occupied holding your waist to shield his smile like they normally would. “You’ve only just realized?” He shakes his head like a dog, spraying you with the remnants of the droplets that cling to his bangs. 

The splatter of cold beads makes you shriek and once again you try to cringe away from him but Taesan keeps you firmly in his grasp, smirking as you resign yourself to your captivity.  “I showered before I rushed over here,” his voice teasing as he raises an eyebrow at you, “how far gone are you that you didn't even notice?”

It's futile to deny it when your eyes are so clearly rimmed red and your head so far in the clouds but you do it anyway. “I'm not that high,” you wink, “I was just too distracted by your pretty face to pay attention to anything else.”

Taesan simply snorts, unconvinced but amused enough to not contest your obvious lies. He settles into the couch, resting his head atop yours and a comfortable silence descends upon you. Drowsiness tugs at you and you melt with your head lolled in the crook of his neck while the pair of you watch the antics of the others. 

Normally, you'd be thrown in the mix, bickering with Jaehyun and playing tricks on Sungho, but the high has you choosing to refrain from participating. Instead, you’re buried in Taesan’s arms, refusing to shift from his lap even when he jokingly whines about being suffocated and crushed. 

Past all the exaggerated groans, Taesan loves nights like this when you’re pliant, putty in his hands and clinging to him like a second skin. You splutter at the accusation, staring at Taesan to see if he was really going to let your dignity be slandered like this. “Taesan you're not serious?” you whine, trying to shake reason into him as the rest of the boys file out of the basement with calls of goodbyes and laughs. 

“I am serious, I’m not gonna let you smoke yourself sick baby,” Taesan shakes his head, easily slipping in the pet name now that it was only the two of you. You give up on arguing any further, making your displeasure apparent with the way you cross your arms tightly, refusing to face him. 

Taesan only chuckles in amusement at your petty display, digging into the pocket of jeans for his lighter. He dangles it in front of you, the familiar scuffs marring the engraved silver. “Wanna do me the honors?” his eyebrows wiggle goadingly.

There's a brief silence as your narrowed eyes ping pong between the smirk on his face and the lighter, your initials that Taesan had etched into it staring back at you mockingly. With a tortured sigh you snatch it from him, “I can’t believe you’re making me light you a joint that you won't even let me smoke,” you grumble.

“But if I light it myself you’d end up sulking because I didn't ask,” he snorts, knocking his head softly into yours. You don't bother responding (mostly because he’s right), busying yourself by popping the cap off and flicking the lighter on.

Taesan ducks closer to let the tip of the roll between his teeth meet the flame, the fire casting a warm light across the contours of his face. His eyes flicker up to meet yours and you're trapped in the warm amber of his gaze, remembering just why this was one of your favorite things to do.  

The soothing chill of his fingers wraps around yours to hold the lighter steady until a tendril of smoke rises between you two and he’s leaning back with a content hum.

It's a captivating sight, the subtle rise and fall of his chest as he inhales. The smoke billowing from Taesan’s plump lips to curl and swirl upwards, charting the lines of his features. You can see the moment he takes to assess you, mulling over an idea while you patiently wait for him to share what's occupying his mind. 

His answer comes in the form of hands tracing your jaw to pull you in closer, fingers tilting your chin upwards. There’s a gentle tap on your lower lip prompting you to part them, you comply and Taesan grants you a pleased smile at your uncharacteristic obedience.

and sungho swallows hard. a sad smile drawing itself on his lips before he eats a bite. the house, it feels — he feels so empty without you. 

there’s a shaky sigh that leaves his lips, as he downs his drink. it breaks him that he won’t have it anymore, he won’t have you anymore. 

RIWOO 이상혁  

it's when he listens to the playlist you made together; all the songs he liked best now reminded him of you, each lyric and sound had a little bit of you that made him break. 

he knows it’s not healthy, he knows it’s not right and that he should just let go. but sanghyeok has the tiniest sliver of hope that maybe, just maybe you’ll come back to him. 

and hits back his head rested against the top of the chair. he chokes up a silent cry, trying to distract himself from anything and everything. his nail presses deep into his finger, maybe it’s just a dream. just a dream, right?

he angrily wipes away his tears threatening to fall down. no hugs. no kisses. no sound of you softly humming to the music while you dance with him in the living room. 

and it’s all his fault. would things have changed if he had just listened to you? would you still be together? 

it’s quiet. and the room is empty. he feels empty. sanghyeok’s his fingers glide to the volume button. and now as the playlist shuffles and another song plays, the same songs that you dedicated to each other horribly reminds him that you’re never, ever coming back.

TAESAN 한동민

it hits him when he's met with your voicemail. his hair disheveled, still in pajamas, phone pressed to his ear. dongmin practically jumped out of bed at the exciting news he got.

and before he knows it, he's clicked your contact, a grin painted across his face. it became a habit when he hears good news that makes him so excited -- his first instinct is to call you and tell you about it, but the phone rings, and rings, and rings

then it hits, finally it comes to him that the two of you aren’t together anymore and his smile disappears, and tears start forming in his eyes, and his lips start to quiver and it's too late, he hears your voice mail and oh god, he doesn't know how long it's been since he's heard your voice

dongmin didn't mean to say all those things, he didn't mean to say it was over between you two. he's quick to wipe his tears, but they keep coming and soon enough he's crying into the phone.

it's becoming all too familiar, how long has he seen you? when was the last time he held you? he feels like he might just break down right then. dongmin hopes you'll listen to the voicemail and call him, just once.

LEEHAN 김동현

it’s when he finds a note from you, tucked away in his jacket pocket. it didn’t say much, just a slight reminder to take care of himself and be safe, with a small heart and your name, scrawled onto it. it’s a bit crumpled and faded but he can recognise the small my love, written next to his name.

the weakened adhesive is already starting to peel off, softly, slowly and donghyun swallows hard. he finally lets out a dry laugh, knowing he won’t be able to take good care of himself even as you wanted.

and his fingers brush across the paper ever so lightly, tears stinging his eyes, biting back a cry. 

but he fails, he fails like he had failed you and feels an actual ache in his heart as he thinks about the smile on your face you had, while you were writing the small note.

it’s blurry, he can’t see the note but he holds it so preciously in his hands. he can’t take care of himself, not when you took a part of him with you.

WOONHAK 김운학

it's when he's curled up under his blanket, late at night, looking through your social media

he just wants to see if you're doing okay, is what he tells himself. what he keeps telling himself.

and when he looks at your Instagram feed and sees that his pictures and your couple photos are no longer there -- it's the realization that it's really over; traces of him erased from your social media and your life.

knuckles white gripping the blanket, sobs start to leave his lips. and he tries to hide it, but his screen starts to become blurry and tears start staining his cheeks.

and woonhak curls himself further, going back to his own feed to see what you guys once were, crying a string of sorry's, before shakily pressing the 'delete' button on all of them.

literally a die-hard fan of your group! the loudest and most dedicated fanboy to ever exist???? watches on the big screen to observe every cute and pretty expression you make. jaehyun can't stay in one place, he's practically jumping in his seat, mouthing lyrics while doing small movements of your choreography (cutie). smiles too wide his cheeks start to hurt :(( gives up halfway and stands up from his seat to dance with you, knowing your part by heart but does end up doing the adlibs ( other groups around him find him so cute ).

the camera has caught him so many times he doesn't even care at this point, looking at the camera while pointing to the stage where your group is and giving it a double thumbs up ( don't be surprised when he's going viral again for his obvious adoration for you ). so many videos of him eyes tearing up with a loverboy grin on his face when your singing on stage goes viral cause the boy is just so clearly whipped

sungho

you cannot tear sungho's attention away from the stage. eyes always following you, whoever you may be, with a proud smile on his face. he's just so amazed! i mean imagine not having a super-talented idol s/o!?!? the camera literally catches him at the worst moments bc tell me why he's on-screen with his jaw agaped, hand over mouth, laughing, giggling kicking his feet. always staring at you with a stunned expression, hand over mouth, slapping jaehyun's arm ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝

whenever you do something cute, his ears turn red. whenever you do something even remotely amazing he'd just gasp! ( celebration afterward ) notes to buy you a gift after the performance and treat you to an amazing dinner because you deserve it.

riwoo

tries not to make it too obvious or draw attention from your performance, but you can tell how happy he is. riwoo is literally losing his composure almost immediately after youre on the stage. his facial expressions range from 'damn that's good' to eyes widening to a very warm grin when you appear on the big screen. would subtly sing along, some parts (yours specifically) of the song he'll mouth. every once in a while you'd see him clapping along to the beat -- from the instruments to the stage, the dance break, and you-- all so captivating. ( /// ○ _ ○)

smile would grow twice in size once it's your part. stares are you with an 'o' shaped mouth and eyes filled with admiration. already knows your choreo by heart, would find himself on the big screen dancing along to the song then gets a bit shy and sits down. loverboy fr

will try to keep his reactions to a minimum but can't. I mean how could he? when someone as beautiful as you are belting their heart out onstage, who looks fabulous I might add, who wouldn't want to dance along with you? dongmin's eyes would follow your movements in complete awe, eyes never tearing away from the stage. <(■-■)>

trying to maintain his composure pt2 but FAILS MISERABLY AND is caught on camera literally melting to your stunning smile, finds himself smiling back. dancing to your parts and mirroring your moves in like tiny (?). he is completely whipped, having been told by woonhak that the camera is on him. hiding behind his hands while the others laugh at the way the blush creeps up. always staring at you with so much adoration and love. donghyun loves hearing your voice and at times he'd just close his eyes and sway from side to side and give you such a love-sick smile it's insane. his dimples are so visible from a mile away. eyes glowing at you, when you hit that high note he's so mesmerized, like damn my baby can do that?? you’re the most gorgeous, breathtakingly beautiful idol to him. you have the looks matched with the voice gifted by angels. and he tells you this every day but it's so evident with the way he looks at you. ~(^ ▫ ^)~

you have him wrapped around your finger whether you like it or not. when the camera focuses on you after the end for the performance for the ending fairy, he's on his feet clapping for you. you can hear him cheering so loud from the crowd, so blow a kiss to the camera, and watch him giggle like a school girl. (he'll blow a kiss back and the audience goes wild )

woonhak

is smiling dancing singing -- just everything! woonhak is so excited to see you perform. thinks you look absolutely gorgeous. can't stay in his seat pt2. fighting the urge to dance along and of course, he loses when he finds himself dancing with jaehyun during the chorus. staff members from the side are telling him to calm down, which he does, but not really. has way too much energy (^⸝⸝> ·̫ <⸝⸝ ^)

does your fanchant and fans are literally recording him doing it, calling him ( your group ) best boy, best fanboy. jaw drops to the floor when you wink at the camera and the boy freezes in place. it's like he's falling in love all over again. turns to his hyungs to show them that he knows your choreography, he's adorable. gosh he loves you so much.

he's the kind of guy who cuddles of his own free will, whenever and wherever he wants. he may have a sudden craving when you're busy cooking at home, or when you're both out shopping. so sungho wraps his arms around your waist while you watch your pots and pans or the clothes in front of you, and rests his chin against your shoulder to gently rub his cheek against yours. you usually end up placing your hands on top of his or pivoting on yourself to end up completely in his arms, but you also like to just feel the warmth of his chest against your back from time to time.

⭒ lee riwoo

for sanghyeok, he thinks you have a unique gift for telepathy, and that you understand everything just by looking at him. which, on the one hand, is not totally untrue. he won't never ask you directly to cuddle him, especially not in front of other people, but he'll stare at you until you understand what he wants. he has that special look in his eyes that makes you understand what he wants : so when you go up to him to cuddle him, he acts as if he's surprised by your gesture, when in reality, he's been waiting for this.

⭒ myung jaehyun

well, he's the clingiest boyfriend you can have. jaehyun will randomly stick to your hip, anytime, anywhere. at first, he was slightly hesitant, asking you in your ear before taking action. then as your relationship evolved, he decided he could cuddle you whenever he wanted, all the time. so he either pulls you into his arms by the wrist, or stands behind you to encircle your waist, or slips against you, stealing a kiss to prevent you from refusing this sudden closeness.

⭒ han taesan

dongmin is the silent type who won't verbally ask you to cuddle him, but won't hesitate to initiate one. cuddling often happens when it's just the two of you, but if he suddenly needs to be close to you in public, he'll always grab you delicately by the hand and pull you in for a cuddle. either he makes you sit on his lap and wraps his arms around you, resting his head against your back or on your shoulder, or wrap his arms around your waist to lay his head against your belly, while your fingers run through his hair.

⭒ kim leehan

he's not the kind of person to initiate a cuddle, because you're often the one to come and snuggle up to him. but you do it because he's doing that little thing that tells you he wants to be in your arms, but doesn't have the guts to do it himself — that little smile on his lips and his eyes locked on yours, silently begging you to come and stick by him. and it always works, especially when donghyun discreetly grabs your hand and strokes the back of it. but when he really wants to hug you, he'll simply do it by placing a kiss against your temple.

⭒ kim woonhak

he's the one who won't hesitate for a second to ask you for a hug. woonhak has no shame in asking you to hug him, even if you're in the middle of a conversation with someone else. he stands right next to you, and suddenly cuts you off with a little “can you give me a hug?” and damn, you can't resist his cute little pout. so you take him in your arms and hold him close, resuming your conversation as if nothing had happened.

bf!taesan, who loves customizing things for you. if you want him to paint on everything you own, then he gladly will! you would come to him with two brand new pairs of white converse and he’d ask why you bought two, and you’d say with a smile that you wanted to match. he’d spend so much time making sure they were perfect and would wear your matching pair with so much pride. everything he made for you, you would cherish so deeply because you knew it was made with so much love. you would make a point to take extra care of the things he makes for you because of how special they are as he always puts so much time and effort into them!

bf!taesan, who goes out of his way to film everything for you if the two of you are apart from each other. if he’s away for whatever reason, he’ll make a point to record or take pictures of everything. the boys are being silly and he wants you to laugh along with them? it’s recorded. he sees a cute puppy? it’s snapshotted. it’s literally the most endearing thing ever how he wants to include you in on the highlights of his day. he doesn’t expect you to do the same either, but if you do he’s absolutely ecstatic! he just wants you to feel included in his life even though the two of you aren’t physically together.

bf!taesan, who is so romantic that sometimes you don’t even know how to react. he sometimes doesn’t outwardly say his feelings to you, but rather, he shows his love through actions. he’s not expressive in the sense that he’s extremely lovey-dovey with his words. instead, he’ll write you a song, making it extra special by detailing a shared memory between the two of you in the lyrics. he’s really thoughtful and despite not being super over the top about his feelings, you never go a day without feeling his deep adoration for you.

bf!taesan, who is an introvert and would prefer to be alone, but allows you in his personal bubble at all times. not just that he allows you, but he wants you around him all the time. you two can sit in comfortable silence with one another and sometimes that’s more than enough because what matters is that the two of you are together!

bf!taesan, who looks at you with so much love in his eyes. he looks at you like the earth would look at the sun, as if you’re the center of his universe. you didn’t notice how intense it was at first, until one of your friends took a candid picture of the two of you. you weren’t paying attention to his facial expressions as you were on your phone in said picture, but the look on his face says it all. his smile is so wide, his eyes turned into little crescent moons, and his heart on his sleeve. you never told him about the picture because you don’t want him to be aware of the way he stares at you, but your friends have made it known on many occasions that taesan looks at you like you’re the girl who stole his heart and he has no intention of getting it back.
