Belated Merry Christmas @captainodonoghue it is I, your gift exchange gifter, bringing forth an idea (and a part) for a story that I hope you will like as much as I adore your gifsets.
Additionally, I'd love to thank @superchocovian for being an absolutely amazing beta/santa's helper- asking the right questions and giving me helpful suggestions and feedback for the upcoming parts of this work.
I'd also like to thank @csgiftexchange for hosting the event, it was a true joy to join it.
BOTTOM OF THE DEEP BLUE SEA [0.5/?]
Summary:
When Princess Emma's childhood sweet heart (Lieutenant Killian Jones), is presumed dead. She sets out on a journey to find the truth- finding him in the most unsavory of places. Only to discover that she's nothing but a prisoner to him- will the power of true love shine through or will they forever be resigned to this cruel twist of fate.
Additional notes, related to the story are posted at the very bottom of this post. Hope you enjoy :)
The beginning:
Transcript:
(Includes some minor tweaks and an
additional scene of sorts)
The first time she saw him was by the willow whisp valley. A dark silhouette just meters away from her. She moved towards the stranger- knife drawn defense on the ready, only to see a forlorn man. She moved closer intending to keep quiet- the snapping of a twig underneath her feet giving her away.
Stepping out into the light and cutting him to the chase
She asked- "What are you doing here? No one really comes here anymore."
Turning to face her he said "similar reasons to you love- peace, calm, serenity, tranquility.....you list it".
Later, they sat together by the lake, a certain sense of understanding forged between the two of them. Setting the foundation for an unexpected, yet expected bond that drew them closer together.
Leading to the present day: Emma raced down to the valley, Killian's letter clutched tight to her chest. Once at their, safe haven she devoured its contents, thumbing the faint imprint of words as a faint smile crossed her face.
My dearest swan,
Not a day passes by where I don't think of you my love. Perhaps one day your father will let you voyage with Liam, the crew and I.
The sights here are positively wondrous! Just last week we saw the fabled yeti on a hill! I'm just pulling your leg love, It's just one of me mates (will) dressed up.
All, humor aside, my dearest swan, what would you like back from our travels- a pin, a dress, perhaps some books, me? All flirtation aside, I hope you're doing well Swan- I await your reply.
Your dashing rascal,
Killian
Note (regarding a picture of an yeti in the letter): I like to think that Killian found a camera during one his voyages or that, he bought it from a rare artifacts shop.
Preview of the next part:
Times at Misthaven weren't looking too good for Emma. Just last week she had been riding high after receiving a letter from Killian and now- a messenger bringing forth a plank of enchanted wood, claiming it to be from the Jewel of the Realm.
Additional notes:
The next update will be up in Febuary (late ik but there's a couple of ideas, I have that I wanna see through- before I put a final update up).
I will be finishing this fic, if I don't feel free to hound me.
I think there will be a written down version of this chapter- not 100% sure.
PS: this was my first time making a gifset (hopefully it turned out okay- saddly the words were barely legible so appologies for that). Have a good day/night and stay safe- I'd love to hear any feedback or ideas you/anyone reading this post has *tips hat*.
This is an AU of @fixfoxnox's Ghost/Soap/Roach (09!Roach gets Isekai'd) AU "Something in the Orange" (Read on: AO3; Tumblr)!
This took so many rough drafts and one (1) moment of experimenting with a different brush to create <3
EDIT: Comic now on AO3 as well!
Anyways enjoy a video!
Also spoilers for "Something in the Orange" under the cut! But also an explanation of this comic
So basically, in the last chapter of SitO, Roach has a dream with 09!Ghost, his fiancé in their previous lives. They have a heart to heart and it's implied that 09!Ghost reincarnated into another universe and has his own Soap and Roach he fell in love with.
Luke said this is Not canon but it was stuck on my mind even before he said so, so <3
Anyways the orange represent's Luke's Roach and the blue represents 09!Ghost's new world.
send me a 🎷 and a character for a song off a playlist I have for them or, if I don't have a playlist, a song I think is fitting
I feel like every single Fjord playlist should and must have "Beneath the Brine" by The Family Crest. Everything about it is just absolutely the vibes in all ways. Build all your Fjord playlists around this song. This is a mandate. jk jk, but also—
During an eclipse, Spades cannot be found. He will instinctually burrow into the earth to try to hide from it out of a fear of losing control, but he will lose control regardless, and enter a primal deific state. Despite his fear, he is not dangerous to most beings in this state, so if someone stumbles onto the scene, they'll simply have an unsettling experience with something that does not look or act at all even reminiscent of a human.
Vynathr, too, will be stronger and more attuned to his deific state during an eclipse. If there is a celebration of the eclipse nearby- which there always is on k'war- he will be mollified, but if there isn't, his deific state may overwhelm him and force him into a rage state. Acts of religious respect or devotion to either him or Roh can soothe him. Otherwise, someone's likely getting conquered. He is not in control of this.
Roh spends much of their time dreaming at the bottom of the sea, but during an eclipse, they will awaken, and those near or in the ocean will swear they heard the soft sound of a distant chorus at the bottom of the sea. It sounded welcoming. Loving.
Love crime by Siouxsie followed by bottom of the deep blue sea by missio give such vibes of a badass fanfic of after the fall. like how the sea trashes their bodies around and they accidentally let go of each other, their last fading memories is them desperately reaching out for the other only to be pulled further back.
❝ is this the face of someone who’d lie to you ? ❞ ( Terranort for Aqua )
𝕮𝖊𝖗𝖚𝖑𝖊𝖆𝖓 𝖊𝖞𝖊𝖘 𝖓𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔𝖜𝖊𝖉 𝖆𝖘 𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖞 𝖋𝖔𝖈𝖚𝖘𝖊𝖉 𝖎𝖓 𝖔𝖓 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖔𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖗. 𝕬𝖘 𝖍𝖎𝖘 𝖜𝖔𝖗𝖉𝖘 𝖇𝖊𝖌𝖆𝖓 𝖙𝖔 𝖘𝖎𝖓𝖐 𝖎𝖓, 𝖆 𝖕𝖆𝖗𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝖍𝖊𝖗 𝖜𝖆𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖉 𝖙𝖔 𝖋𝖑𝖆𝖙𝖑𝖞 𝖗𝖊𝖋𝖚𝖘𝖊 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖔𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖗'𝖘 𝖆𝖘𝖘𝖊𝖗𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓. However, knowing the body belonged to Terra, someone that meant the whole world to Aqua, only seemed to make things difficult.
“Do you want the honest truth? You would lie to my face because that’s how you work. There’s never a time you don’t try and manipulate things in your favor. You may have Terra’s body, but that doesn’t mean I trust you.” Aqua turned her back to him, glancing out at the sunset. Reaching into her pocket, the keyblade master pulled out the familiar blue colored charm. It was hard even to stare at Terranort in the eyes, so long as he was using her friend’s body. Clenching the charm tighter, she had tried so hard to keep Ven and Terra safe, to bring them both home. However, things had taken a turn, and after falling into the realm of darkness, Aqua was unable to return on her own. It was even worse after losing her keyblade, feeling herself sink into the darkness. It almost felt like she had failed. That Terra was stuck as a prisoner inside his own body.
‘Together...always. ‘ Those were the words she had said that night, handing each of them the star shaped charm. A part of her wondered if Terranort even held onto Terra’s, or perhaps had gotten rid of it long ago. The white-haired keyblade wielder seemed to react to any sign of weakness. Perhaps having too many memories of Terra would allow the other to regain control of his body.
“I said that I would cast you out of Terra’s body for good, and I intend to keep that promise. Answer me this, why linger inside his body? You know that Ven and I will both do whatever it takes to get Terra back, even if that means having to fight you for years.”
Aqua eyes narrowed, as she placed the charm back into her pocket. There were so many emotions flowing through her body whenever she saw him. She tries hard to keep her anger in check, but it becomes more difficult as she spends more time with Terranort. There were moments when she could tell Terra was poking back through. Trying so hard to regain control over his own body, Aqua felt that if she had better kept Ven and Terra safe, neither one would’ve had to go through all this. It was painful to think that she had only pushed them further apart, something that tended to happen no matter how much she cared about another person. In the end, they would end up hurt or worse. Shaking her head, the blue haired woman tried to rid herself of those thoughts. It had been years since the start of this journey. The number of losses they had to endure, the obstacles they all had to face,
There was a part of the keyblade master, that could blame Terra for giving into darkness like he did. During that time. Their master had really put a lot of pressure on their shoulders, and one keyblaee truly was enough to ruin any friendship. Aqua had seen it in Terra’s eyes as they fought. How even the slightest tipcould cause someone to trend down the wrong path. Rainfell appeared when she raised her hand. It was her very first keyblade and the one that meant the most to her.
“Tell me why you came to me now, or cut to the chase and do whatever it is you came here for."
It was pretty obvious the woman was letting anger cloud her judgment; normally she would be calm and collected during any situation. However, being around Terranort was a whole other story. Seeing the other did nothing but enrage her, especially considering how he played mind games with Terra's body. It was frustrating and only added to the fact that she had failed to keep one of the most important people in her life safe. He was a painful reminder of a time Aqua had allowed things to fall out of her fingers. Clenching her hand, she reached into her pocket, pulling out the charm again. Slowly, she held it up for Terranort to take in, hoping maybe somewhere deep down the other hadn’t tossed the one she made Terra away.
“Maybe you don’t care, but Terra does. Look at this charm and tell me you don’t remember any of the memories shared. They might not be your own, but they are his, and I won’t let you drown those in darkness. THEY MATTER AND SO DOES HE!”
‘ A Keyblade Master wielding your key in anger? Shameful. ‘
It didn’t matter if the other taunted her, tried to convince her darkness was the right path. It’s what he had always done in the past. Even tried to lure Ventus over to his side, which again nothing but cause her blood to boil. She wouldn’t lose them again, even if it took everything the woman had remaining to snap Terra out of this. Aqua was ready to make the ultimate sacrifice, for years she spent in the dark realm. It was all too real feeling that isolation, knowing full well Terra was still out there fighting his own.
It was up to Terranort if he wanted to fight, it had always ended that way in the past. Recalling the other's hands around her neck. Feeling air leave her lungs, as she could only struggle to escape. Did he feel any remorse at all? A part of her felt like he only cared about Kingdom Hearts. Nothing else mattered to him, not even the people he hurt and ruined.
