     Though it may not seem like it, Genya and Sanemi had plenty of memories together. It was not the absence of one that causes Genya to pause, but having to choose one that may be his favorite. Sanemi wasn’t always so angry, after all.

     ❝There was one time, just after dad died, that ‘Nemi and I had enough money leftover to buy everyone meals from the food stalls. I think we got some yakitori and were able to split it between all of us...❞ Genya smiles fondly then and scratches at the scar on his cheek.

     ❝’Nemi and I were sitting outside sharing ours and he saw a stray dog in an alleyway looking at us. Instead of shoo’ing it off he gave it some yakitori from his half and it played with us for a couple hours after that.❞

     ❝He’s always liked animals, I still see him feeding the strays sometimes. — But don’t tell anyone I told you! He has a reputation.❞
