“Doesn’t matter how much you want the answer to be something else,” she says irritably. “The information points to the cult. He’s been taking girls her age for years, and no one survives leaving. Either she’s still with him, or she’s been eaten by his shape-shifting wife.”

He snaps his teeth in her face. “Find another way.”

She sighs loudly, unshaken by his antics by now. “Tell me where my husband is.” She crosses her arms. “This is what the information points to. You’ve kept me here for six months. Just because you don’t like the answer, doesn’t mean there’s another one.”

“You’ll get your husband when I get my lead.”

“Then I suggest you go pay Lou a visit.”

He snarls and backhands her.

She goes down with a cry. She wipes at her mouth, unsurprised to find it come away bloody. She looks up at him, furious. “You’d best hope you’re long gone by the time I’m reunited with John Henry,” she spits, “because he will turn you into swiss cheese for that.” She stands and moves to the sink, spitting blood before filling a glass with water to rinse out her mouth.

“I’m not afraid of Doc Holliday.”

She laughs, low and cold. “Bobo. Robert. You’ve never seen him with me.” Ice eyes cut to him, and there is something there that unsettles him.

“Find my Lead. You get your husband. That’s the deal.”

“I could go get her, if you let me go. I’m sure he wouldn’t raise any eyebrows at me showing up.”

“And let you go running off on me?”

“Where would I go? Who would I turn to? I don’t have any allies in this town, let alone friends. And if you’re not lying, you’re the only one who can tell me where my husband is. Why would I leave?”

“I never pretended to understand you women folk.”

She glowers at him. “I understand what Wyatt saw in you. Now, either let me go get your lead, or leave me alone until you decide to accept the information I gave you.”

Another tense moment, and he storms from the trailer, door slamming behind him. It only takes a moment for her guard to shoot the locks again.

one billion years ago i remember there being an op amv set to blow me away that had this specific scene in it

about 99.999% sure its been lost to time but man. completely forgot about it until now. was just such a strange feeling to have that hit me at that moment

#so.bs #there are two (?) other amvs i can remember #both of which i think i've watched up to their respective points in the anime before #one that i cant remember the song for but it was set to the crew getting revenge after usopp was beaten up by like a house of guys #or somth similar like that #it could possibly have been the same blow me away video but i felt like all the clips from the usopp one was from the same ep #and there was a point in the middle of it where it just played the clip/audio from the ep itself that interrupted the song #?? or it had the clip before the song? or both????#the other was set to chihuahua by dj bobo #the crew were sneaking around a like?? marine fortress or somth??#but i know for a fact i watched up to that point BECAUSE #IT WAS WHEN THE DUB HAD CUT OFF AT THAT POINT #and thats when i stopped my very first viewing ~12 years ago

I like to think that Missy gave Saffron the scoundrels mansion and woud just occasionally go visit her. Saffron would make some awesome food and pretends to not be horrified when Missy recounts her latest murderous adventures

DP x DC: Animal House

Danny can apparently shapeshift, and that’s great!

or it would be great if it wasn’t for the fact he got stuck as an eldritch cat. On the plus side, he can talk to animals like this. Downside: He lacks thumbs and his powers seem to be on the fritz.

Luckily, he got picked up by the Waynes who seem to think he is some kind of alien cat. It’s actually pretty cool. Lots of soft things and window spots to soak in some sunlight, and, hell, the homemade cat food actually tastes pretty good.

Plus he’s been making friends!

Alfred the cat and Titus are his favorites. Ace is cool but he’s more like an uncle figure. Batcow is chill, but Jerry the turkey is an asshole. Then Dick brings his dog Haley aka Bitewing, so Jason brings his dog Dog, and the whole batfamily of pets is there vibing with Danny.

Then a family emergency happens requiring all hands on deck. Everyone is out of the house and even Alfred is too busy in the Batcave keeping an eye on things to pay attention to the animals. So that can mean only one thing...

Party time!

Danny invites all the DC animals that I remember exists. Krypto the super Dog, Comet the Super Horse, Streaks the Super Cat, Beppo the Super Monkey, Rec the Wonder Dog, and of course Bobo T. Chimpanzee aka Detective chimp, the worlds greatest detective, and the alcoholic ape that’s going to supply the whole party with booze

That’s right, Danny is hosting an animal rager at the Wayne manor, and between his malfunctioning powers, the other super powered animals, and a lot of alcohol, things are going to get WEIRD

Note: my little cousin only told me a few bits of the episode so I had to go watch it and I'm all 🥹

"Wait for me, I want to watch it too!", Daniel called as he walked down the stairs and joined you in the living room, sitting on Sophia's right side.

"Mummy was about to press start", Alice said as she sat to your left, leaving her sister sandwiched between you and Daniel.

You pressed play and laughed along with the episode when you saw fit, "I swear, if you had to be one of them, you'd be Muffin", Daniel pinched your shoulder.

"Really? I always thought of myself more of a Bingo person", you reasoned.

"Nop, you're Muffin, love - anything on your mind just goes right out! The way she yelled "Police!" and then "think fast!" was all you", he teased.

"But mummy never makes a mess like that!", Sophia argued as the screen showed how much Muffin wanted a cup holder for the drink and how it spilled all over the car.

"You just don't know the mummy the way I know", Daniel winked at your daughter while you shook your head.

"That did sound like you, mummy! You just don't say "Go, Bobo!", you say "Go Danny!" when daddy is driving really fast on track", Alice cheekily pointed out.

When the episode finished, you looked at both girls as their eyes were still on the screen, "Did you like it, girls?", you asked as you pulled them closer to you.

"Yes, it was such a nice ending!", Alice cheered.

"I'm glad Bluey and Bingo don't have to move!", Sophia said before looking at Daniel, "But daddy might need some comfort too, mummy - I think he's crying", she whispered.

"Danny, love, are you okay?", you wondered, rubbing his back softly.

"Things are really meant to be sometimes, you know? The dogs with no eyes had to use the coin Bluey left so they could find their perfect house and then they had the realtor call Dad because they didn't want their house anymore! And Dad was very good at making sure his family is happy because they stayed back - did you see their happy dances in their empty bedroom?", Daniel wiped his eyes, "and the way the parents wag their tails as if they're communicating with them?".

"It's okay, daddy, it was a happy ending", Alice climbed out of the sofa and cuddled Daniel's right side as Sophia did the same, hoping they would comfort him.

"I know it was, daddy is just very happy for them", Daniel offered.

"I need the bathroom", Alice mumbled before Sophia said she needed it too, making them leave you and Daniel in the living room alone.

"These cartoons really pull on your heartstrings, don't they?", you chuckled while your husband pulled you into a cuddle, hiding his face in your neck and kissing you there.
