Day 2 - Favourite scene!

(Stiff competition here actually. Toss up between this one and the entire tanka poem scene. It’s so good man )

It’s such a nice scene, Billy’s such a nice person. Things are actively going to shit and he’s taking the time to be super delicate with his crying subordinate it’s wonderful.

I am 100% convinced this scene is so zoomed out because the screaming of the old man yaoi girlies (me) would shatter all glass on this earth if it was another close up

(this is the first scene I showed my friend while pretending I wasn’t going to make him read the whole thing. After that confirmation I infodumped about the entirety of udul for like an hour(love you @sir-teddy-of-bear , you’re a real one))

Day 7 - A song you associate with UU

Oh girlies we're really in it now. its still the 31st somewhere right?

I never know whether to call something an animatic or not. like its kinda static? whatever!!!!

(Yep its billytella again. no apologies. i wont mean them)

i had a few other songs i was considering. i mean I have a couple songs that are A. more actively billytella or B. more actively Undead unluck.

specifically "the truth" by the front bottoms, its very billytella to me with its whole "i will believe in anything you believe in. i will do it for you" and "over at the frankenstein place" from rocky horror, its super sweet and uplifting but rocky horror is complete balls to the wall insanity, which i think suits undead unluck, like theres a quote thats lovely out of context but then the context is "the character is in the middle of trying to kill the anthropomorphic concept of spring with a card game." i think rocky suits that energy

in the end i couldn't get the imagery to work in my head. so maybe another time.

This thing really is my excuse t draw the blorbos in the most sappy poses possible. (oh and to make more people listen to will wood )

Day 3 - Favourite dynamic (i'd file this under romantic, platonic, and unhealthy)

The pookies, I love their dynamic in all instances but something about the angst of the 100th really gets me. The whole going to hell together thing appeals to my poor soggy soul.

I haven’t drawn a mermaid since like…2020. This was delightful.

Why does this drawing exist? Well because I thought mermaid tella would be cute and I thought “I should write a fic”. Then I remembered I can’t write, so I made this instead

As mentioned I can’t write so I’ll just dump the headcanon things I had here

Tella can’t talk, he whistles and clicks like a dolphin but billy is teaching him morse code as a means of communication.

Billy is an ex-pirate who lives by the beach with Tatiana. I had the silly concept of billy wearing two eye patches as a pirate, just to screw with people and hopefully throw them off with the “ he definitely can’t see me” thing (which tbf he can’t )

I had 2 separate first meeting things, one is Tella singing and billy getting distracted and falling off a boat and tella dragging him out of the water to stop him drowning and the other is Billy coming across an injured mermaid and going from there. I like to think wound treating is a big deal to merfolk since being injured is basically a death sentence as a fish so having someone help with that is … important.

Tella isn’t a name, I like to think it’s a translation thing, mer don’t have conventional names epithets are more common. Tella doesn’t sing due to… tragic reasons I haven’t fleshed out yet… so they refer to him as “one who speaks “ or something like that, which billy interprets as teller (Tella).

Tella : * incomprehensible chirping noises *

Billy : I don’t have the equipment to pronounce that, got anything else?
