Wooooo got a pretty decent picture not quality wise but quantity 4 birds

I see a raven on the telephone pole

A mourning dove on top of the feeder

And 2 finches!! One is on the lower blue bowl and the other is across from the dove on the feeder

On my daily walk gathering berries when I ran into the local crow murder

I happened to have some peanuts in my fanny pack so I drop em as I walk and sure enough these are the crows that know me

As soon as I look away from the peanut a few crows fly down and scoop u0 the peanuts

60ish crows start cawing, i have their attention. Not too far from my house every 20 or so steps I drop a nut or some berries I gathered

Sure enough all of them start following behind me making a cacophony of joyous crow sounds <3

I make it home put my stuff down grab a bucket of peanuts and start chucking it down at em (they love this)

Made sure they all got one (some more than one) went back inside and alls quiet on the western front

Birds are the bestest ever in my opinion because they are all technically dinosaurs.

Now you may have learned dinosaurs went extinct from the comet that crashed in the gulf of Mexico some 500 mil? Years ago but teachers lied!!

Dinosaurs survived and continue to grow and evolve into the beautiful, funny, magnificent birds that we see today

Besides that; the fact that they can fly makes them better than almost every other animal on the planet

Plus even though they have small brain to body size ratio they are wrinkled in similar places to our brains which means they have complex social dynamics just like we do

It's not about the size of the brain that makes something smart butthe wrinkles and synapses that connects the brain to the animal

Yes, avoid eye contact wear sunglasses when you can

Water features(bird bath) attract birds they don't have to be fancy

Sunflower seeds millet seed peanuts on a tray somewhere in the shade is the best to get some to stay for a while

I like trying to talk to birds and mimicking their calls sometimes they respond sometimes they act offended either way I had a damn good time

Hardest part for me is trying to stay.calm when I see the birds quiet and slow deliberate movements are the best jurassic Park rules lmao

Ohhh I.cant believe I wait so long to say this!

Native plants especially wild flowers and fruit trees/bushes also attract birds

I also put the cat hair i clean out of the brusbrushes outside so they can use it to keeo nest warm
