Nella tradizione buddista si dice che le emozioni negate o represse diventino demoni. Demoni che prima o poi dobbiamo incontrare. Prima o poi dobbiamo chiedere a questi demoni che cosa vogliono da noi. Prima o poi dobbiamo scendere a patti con questi aspetti: nutrirli anziché allontanarli. Amarli anziché scacciarli. In bioenergetica diciamo la stessa cosa con altre parole. Il miglior modo per uscire da una situazione è entrarci dentro. Sentirla fino in fondo e poi lasciarla andare. Se rimaniamo a metà, se lottiamo contro questa situazione ci troveremo a consumare un doppia energia: l'energia collegata all'emozione e l'energia collegata alla soppressione dell'emozione. Meglio chiedere al demone qual è il suo vero bisogno che tentare di ucciderlo. Come l'idra di Ercole lo ritroveremmo di fronte a noi con una forza raddoppiata.
