last cohf post for tonight I swear but I just remembered this random review I once read. it was by this random person who for whatever reason hated simon, did not like him at all. which is fine to each their own & honestly they didn't seem to be having a great time reading tmi at all like I don't think it was their kind of series yknow? anyway the one thing they said that has stayed with me since is that for cohf their main criticism was that all the characters were selfish for giving Simon back his memories???

and I knew it was bs at the time but having reread it now it's like. how on earth did you get to that conclusion??? on what earth is undoing what Asmodeus did selfish???? like sure Simon hated being a vampire but that's literally not an issue anymore I don't understand 😭 like the "perfect" life he had was straight up not real, it was all a mirage created by Asmodeus and what part of Simon's character would make you think he would want that over the truth & being with Clary and Isabelle. also it's been like six months & he's already starting to realise something is up like that feeling wouldn't have gone away how is not telling him the better option here
