💗Happy Tuesday loves!! I have always really loved my hair & try to take really good care of it. Growing up, I used to use a very big name drug store brand of shampoo & conditioner because it smelled so good, not knowing that it was leaving behind layers & layers of silicone & residue. I’ve since wised up to the unnecessary ingredients that are thrown into products & I’m loving learning about what will be good for my hair. That includes the Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask from @k18hair . This is a patented peptide hair mask that helps to reverse damage from treatments like bleaching, dyeing, styling & chemicals. This mask is designed to repair the hair from the inside out. Instead of only sitting on the surface of the hair, as most masks and treatments do, @k18hair is a bioactive treatment that is formulated with the oligopeptide, now known as the K18 Peptide. What it does it this patented peptide actually carries amino acids into the cortex of each hair strand, which then reconnects the keratin chain. Damaged, dry, brittle, broken hair is revived & healed!! I like how my hair has been feeling & managing since I began using K18. After shampooing (& NOT conditioning), I towel dry my hair so it’s just a bit damp & then begin working the product into my hair, starting at the bottom & working my way to my roots, leaving it sit for at least 4-minutes before styling. The mask is supposed to be used after every wash for 6 washes & then every 3-4 washes. I only wash my hair two to three times a week, so I’m still in the initial phase of it, but I am really liking what I see & feel. My hair definitely has a bounce to it & it is so much more manageable. I definitely will continue to use this leave-in mask & recommend it to anyone who uses bleach, heat, dye or just wants extremely healthy hair!! I know I do! 💜Happy #selfcaresaturday loves!! I have had a favorite Koffie body scrub for about a year now and I have been pretty much faithfully using it. I was given the opportunity to try out the Body Polish from @keyssoulcare by @aliciakeys and this is incredible!! The gentle formula of this body Polish contains bamboo charcoal to physically exfoliate, lactic and glycolic acids to chemically exfoliate, and sunflower seed oil and coconut oil to soothe and soften. The majority of us beauties know the importance of exfoliating our faces a few times a week, at least, to slough off the dead skin cells and help our skincare products to be better absorbed. We can’t forget that our bodies are skin, too!!! We need to give just as much love and attention to the skin on our bodies.💜 ✩ 💜Right now I’m using it twice a week, after I’m done washing my body in the shower. I typically use it on days I am going to shave, because it helps to get a closer shave, as well as prevent ingrown hairs. I’ve been loving following the Body Polish with the Melting Body Balm. This fierce duo will be a staple in my self care routine for a long, long time!!! 💜Happy #selfcaresaturday loves!! Lately, I’ve been asking myself, where has this Body Balm been all of my life?!? That’s been the question on my mind since first digging into @aliciakeys @keyssoulcare Melting Body Balm!! As a former Beauty Advisor for Prescriptives and Sephora, I have had my share of body lotions, creams, body butters and more that I have used. That’s not counting the thousands I’ve bought from various brands or well known bath and body stores. In my 20+ years in the beauty industry, I have yet to come across a product like this. The formula of this body balm is like magic in a jar. Seriously. I love the way it literally melts onto and into my skin after applying it. It’s made with good-for-your-skin ingredients like coconut oil, Shea butter, sunflower seed oil and macadamia nut oil. It has a light scent from the sage and oat milk, and it’s a warm, comforting scent. This incredible balm softens, smooths and hydrates my skin. I have used it on both wet (well damp) skin, as well as dry skin. I have most enjoyed it after using the @keyssoulcare Body Polish, and my skin is freshly exfoliated. This is a most welcome addition to my skincare and self care routine. I love how @aliciakeys makes sure to add an affirmation to every single product. 💜Happy #texturetuesday babes!!! What does “I have awakened my full potential” mean to you? I feel that’s when I am trying my hardest, taking care of myself & doing what I love.💜 ✨Having been not-so-blessed with genetics that make my eyes look as though I haven’t slept in years, I’m always on the lookout for an eye product that will actually work. I have worked as a Beauty Analyst for Prescriptives & a Beauty Advisor in Sephora & I loved every second of it. After trying thousands of products & brands, I have a pretty good idea of what I like, what works for me & what definitely does not.✨ 💜I was absolutely honored to be one of the first to try the new Radiant Eye Cream from @aliciakeys ’ skincare line, @keyssoulcare . With stand out ingredients like Peptides, Sunflower Seed Oil & Gold, this creamy product was a welcomed treat for my eyes. The consistency is literally perfect- not too thick but definitely not thin or watery, at all. I typically pat a small amount under my eyes & on my lids, however, after learning that the oils in the eye cream may break down any makeup that is put on top of it throughout the day, I avoid my lids when I wear makeup. Since I’ve been using the Radiant Eye Cream, I definitely see a lightening of the suitcases under my eyes. They now look like clutches & are well on their way to being gone. I have also noticed that the fine lines are softening, too!💜 ✨ @keyssoulcare has a commitment to providing us with clean beauty products. 🛀🏼 Happy #selfcaresaturday babes!!! How many of you take baths?? How many of you have some kind of ache or pain either daily or at least once or twice a week?? Y’all already know I live with chronic pain from the numerous back issues I have. So when I found out the @dragonfly_cbd had a CBD Bath Salt, I knew I wanted in!! Over the past year, I have been having sever back problems, sometimes to the point where I cannot walk or stand for longer than 10 minutes. This bath product has been my savior. The quickest, most effective way to get CBD into your body is topically (other than smoking it). I have doing that when I am in sever pain, I can apply topicals and the pain subsides extremely quickly. The genius part of having a high quality, high dose bath salt is that the CBD is being absorbed by your whole body (or whatever body part is submerged... foot soaks are extremely helpful)!! What I do is I get my bath water running at a fairly warm temperature, but not too hot to where I cannot stand it. Then I add the bath salts while I swirl the water around. I give a a minute or so to dissolve and then I get in and soak my heart out!! It has a beautiful scent that is reminiscent of being at a spa. Vanilla, coconut extract, and lavender are all part of creating the alluring smell while vitamin E helps to soothe and soften the skin. The best part is the 400mg of CBD that is included in the whole bag, so if you do half a bag, twice, you’re getting about 200mg of CBD. 🌸Happy #skincaresaturday my loves!!! As most of you know, I am definitely interested in learning about new skincare products & new makeup- even new hair & nail products. I’ve been a @beautytapofficial expert for the past few months, & that has afforded me the opportunity to try a lot of new products, ones that I’ve never heard about & ones that I’ve wanted to try but hadn’t yet be able to. @orpheus.skin is one of those brands. Being the avid serum user that I am, I had been seeing Orpheus products pop up on my social media for months. I remember thinking how much I really wanted to try this brand. The first thing that really caught my eye was the packaging- stunning, purple glass bottles. Then I researched a bit & found out that they have revolutionized skincare with the use of the “resurrection flower”, one that has survived the ice age &, through the amazing advancements in science, is able to be used in skincare. On the skin, this flower has the ability to regenerate cells!!! I knew I had to try this & I’m so grateful I have been able to incorporate it into my daily skincare routine for the past few weeks- & my glowing skin is definitely showing it!! I have mostly combination skin- oily in my t-zone & normal to dry on my cheeks. I am acne-prone, especially certain times of the month.
