For the Fyodor raised Atsushi AU I feel like Fyodor would call Atsushi брат (brat) which means brother in Russian but would sound like Fyodor is insulting Atsushi to others. I believe Atsushi is would know at least a little Russian. This would also cater towards Fyodor making sure he’s that one pillar of comfort for Atsushi in being an older brother figure.

Now for what Atsushi would call Fyodor… I have a few thoughts. Since Atsushi was taken in at a pretty young age I think he would call Fyodor “Fyo” (pronounced Fee) because he gave up calling him by his last name. I also think that Fyodor let Atsushi drop honorifics just to gain his trust. Fyodor wouldn’t care what Atsushi calls him just as long as he’s with him not against him. Or just call Fyodor せんせい (Sensei) because he’s his teacher…idk

(I also was kinda thinking that when they first encountered each other that Atsushi as a kid would call Fyodor うさぎ (Usagi) because of Fyodor’s ушанка (Ushanka) hat. They kind of remind me of rabbit or bunny ears when the ear flaps are down. So as a younger kid he might associate it with a fluffy and sweet animal…after all the trauma he went through…haha 😞)

What would Fyodor and Atsushi call each other?

-Starting off with Fyodor. I think he'd call Atsushi a number of things- and these things will change based on how their relationship evolves over time. In the beggining when Atsushi had just arrived to his base in Russia- I believe he would adopt just Atsushi's name at first, as it would be a cold unfamiliarity between them. Fyodor would want little to do with Atsushi when it came to anything but his plans, however the issue regarding Beast's outbursts needed to be addressed. That he couldn't avoid.

From there on out he would keep a close eye on Atsushi- and such the name derived itself into a dismissive "Boy". Further into Fyodor's accidental attachment to Atsushi he would begin using Russian to cook up nicknames and diminutives: something along the lines of- тигренок(tigrenok=tiger-cub) / луна (Luna= moon) / крыса (krysa= rat)

Stuff like that maybe- he would expect Atsushi to figure them out and maybe he'd make a game out of it. Calling the boy something new every once in a while and expecting him to figure it out and return back with an answer.

At first Fyodor would do this to give Atsushi something to occupy his time with- but the more exited the boy got- the more he got under Fyodor's icy defenses..

Ultimately maybe he'd settle on "Atsu" as a proper name?

-Now, Atsushi:

-Here it's fairly more simple- Atsushi would approach with formal titles such as : Fyodor-sama, Dos-sama- perhaps after some development going easier on the honorary titles : "Dos-san" being commonly used imo.

-I think there perhaps will be a time- a time of great weakness and vulnerability between Fyodor and Atsushi, perhaps after a mission gone bad where Nikolai had to portal the weretiger out of death's hands- I think in confidence, alone, while the boy recovers, Fyodor would open up the existence of the diminutive term "Fedya" to his own name in a subtle, encrypted way. And would instruct Atsushi that it is to be used only in confidence and not amongst anyone else. Of course, Atsushi still slaps a "-sama" at the end of it- "Fedya-sama/ Fedya-san." But I think this is made a possibility only after some heavy character development-

Anyway these are all possibilities- what do you think?

💋 a kiss / BEAST AU

It was the late night, yet neither of them was asleep. Atsushi moved from his futon to Akutagawa’s, now hiding in the older’s arms, both of them wrapped tightly in one blanket. Aku held him close, slowly carding his fingers through soft silver hair, his lips pressed to the cold forehead still covered in sweat. After some minutes, the raven could feel that the other boy was finally calming down, his chest no longer raising and falling against his in a crazy rhythm and when Atsu’s body finally stopped trembling, he knew, the last bits of a terror from a nightmare tormenting the poor boy finally vanished.

"Try to sleep now. I won’t move away from you, I promise…“ Akutagawa murmured softly as he pulled himself away to look at the other’s face. He moved his hand to caress Atsushi’s cheek, watching as those odd-colored, tired eyes slowly closed. Only after a few more moments, when he assumed it was safe to drop his guard, Akutagawa let his eyelids to fall as well.

Minutes passed, silence disturbed only by their calm and regular breathing, the raven finally started to drift off to a peaceful slumber, warm and comfortable, his hand resting on the top of Atsushi’s, the touch that was supposed to guard the younger brother from more nightmares.

Suddenly, somewhere from his half-asleep state, Akutagawa could feel something warm and soft being pressed against his lips. It was hard for his sleepy mind to distinguish if it came from a dream or it was real, but oh did it feel nice… His lips moved against that warm and tender caress on their own.

It came so naturally, from the bottom of their conscious when they both were slowly falling asleep. They kissed, the most gentle and slow kiss, neither of them was fully aware of; as if they were doing it for ages now. They fell into a peaceful sleep then, undisturbed by any bad dream, close to each other and holding their hands, safe and sound…

what ability would you have in the bsd universe? (what would it be called? what’s it’s purpose? how does it work?)

this one, im not really sure on... theres nothing that comes to me, i guess? ive never thought much about what kind of ability i would have if i were to be in the bsd universe whoops- so i guess ill have to skip this one? (will come back and edit later, though, if i figure anything out!)

if you could claim someone’s ability in bsd, whose ability would you want?

i would say... no longer human. to me, its an interesting idea to be able to nullify the abilities of others. and i guess what fascinates me the most is the fact that, there could easily be limits or consequences to using it too much or using it on a powerful being that isnt mentioned, and itd be cool to find that out for myself.

but theres rashomon (who wouldnt want a black beast who could destroy a lot?) and beast beneath the moonlight (you can turn into a tiger. a tiger)

what group/organization would you join?

(ex. guild, port mafia, armed detective agency, rats, etc.)

definitely the agency. its always been my favorite, even after all these others have been introduced, and all the members in it have all claimed my heart in one way or another. itd be really cool to join them in whatever they do, even if i probably suck at it.

which bsd character do you identify with the most?

i would say... atsushi. with the fact of having very little self worth and self esteem, around the beginning of the series. but hes getting better and im so proud of him, and can only hope that i can get better too!

but also,,,poe in terms of shyness and i guess getting anxious over being in crowds of people you dont know. im very open online, but tense up way too easily in person.

who are your top five favourite bsd characters?

imma just go out and say: i love all of the characters listed equally. they all mean so much to me

1. atsushi nakajima - first chapter, stole my heart. as the series continued on? he just kept doing it

2. yumeno kyusaku - BABY! DANGEROUS BABY BUT BABY! LET ME ADOPT YOU AND GIVE YOU TONS OF LOVE!

3. osamu dazai - hes such an interesting character to learn about

4. kenji miyazawa - precious farmer boy who i also want to adopt pls

5. edgar allan poe - hes so cute and precious and??? adorable??? pls thats not fair

are there any authors that you’d want to bring into the bsd universe that hasn’t arrived yet? or do you have ocs?

uhh,,,no to either of those questions. nothing i can think of, at least. whoops-

favorite scene(s)?

every,,,dazatsu moment,,,ever,,, but also, the party in chapter 37. especially with how poe was, and kenji coming over to him like “do you want a drink? : D”

both quotes are from dazai,,,both quotes are to atsushi,,, ‘do not pity yourself. if you wallow in self-pity, life will be an endless nightmare’ and ‘as someone who understands suffering, you resisted violence and evil, and saved many people who were in positions of weakness’

who would you want to bring to life to be your best friend? waifu/husbando?

honestly,,,i would want yumeno to be my best friend. id want to make him happy and have a lot of fun with him.

and then,,,honestly,,,*grabby hands* give me atsu bb as my waifu/husbando pls i dont care which version just any atsu

how has bungou stray dogs changed you as a person? did you learn anything from it?

theres a lot i learned from it, actually! i think its really helped me start to figure out who i truly am, that its okay to go throw all these things, as long as you dont constantly remind yourself of the bad, that you can keep fighting even when it feels like its all hopeless. theres so much more too but,,,thatd take forever to talk about.
