Ever had a song you can't get out of your head, a song that strips you down to your very being and leaves you with nothing? A song that you project onto your angstiest of blorbos? A song that hits you smack where you live? Or how about a song that you just really enjoy?

Then this tournement is for you! Here you can submit your favourite song that fucks you up the most, and battle it out to see which ballard will be named the ultimate fuck-you-up song of tumblr!

Submission Rules

Submissions will stay open for a week, but if I get a crazy amount of submissions, then it'll close sooner.

Alternatively, if I don't get as many, I might leave it open longer so there's a good amount :)

This probably goes without saying by this point, but don't do multiple re-submissions of the same song. It just makes the sorting process so much more difficult for me

Yes, you can submit songs from musicals and TV shows. However, I won't be including more than 2-4 songs from each media, depending on how long that particular soundtrack is.

Song must be at least remotely fuck-you-up-ish. You must be able to justify its place within the tournement

Instrumentals are allowed

You can rant a bit about whatever blorbo you may project the song onto. It'll help me understand it better

You're allowed to submit a song by a problematic artist, however I am not in control of how quickly that gets voted off

Propaganda is allowed and encouraged! No slander though

Welcome, one and all, to the Paladin Tourney! Here, we will pit our beloved knights in shining armor against each other to determine who is Tumblr's favorite paladin!

I'm loosely defining "paladin" as any character who is, or who resembles, a paladin or knight, in either appearance or personality. They may wear the iconic shining armor, have an oath that they're fiercely determined to keep, or just have the vibes.

Tourney rules:

Be kind. You're welcome to make propaganda for or against characters, but don't attack people over who they vote for. Being racist, ableist, homophobic, or otherwise bigoted gets you blocked.

Please don't submit characters from Harry Potter, Attack on Titan, Vivziepop, or South Park. No OCs either, sorry. I probably won't accept submissions from real life unless you can make a good case for them in the propaganda section.

You can submit multiple characters, but please don't submit the same character multiple times unless you need to add or change something. Fill out the form separately for each character unless you want them to go together as a team.

If there's something wrong or you have tips for improving the tourney, please let me know! I've never run a Tumblr tournament before so I don't really know what I'm doing.

there will only be one song per game franchise, so I WILL hold preliminaries for any songs from the same franchise!

Do you love women? Do you love women when they’re evil and/or despicable? Do you think that we need more toxic women in this world? Do you just believe we should shatter the glass ceiling in the next two and half days?

THEN THIS IS THE TOURNAMENT FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!

In this tournament we will decide who is the absolute girlerstbossest girlboss in the entire great wide world of blorbos. The submission form is here. I will limit the submissions based on need, but until then I plan on having the form open for about a week, and then I’ll gather images & get the polls set up on a queue. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ADD WHATEVER PERSONAL PICKS I WANT.

RULES:

No currently alive people. I will accept historical figures provided that they have been dead since before 1900 (Mary Queen of Scots = OK, Margaret Thatcher = no-go).

No MCYT/YouTube Roleplayers. It’s too difficult to differentiate betwixt the character they’re playing and the person they are.

The character must be a girl or woman. Male characters are not girlbosses, I’m sad to say.

I reserve the right to reject any characters for any reason. When I reveal the bracket, you may submit any grievances.

When trimming down the bracket, my criteria will be: 1. My personal biases, 2. Number of submissions of the character, 3. Strength of the evidence.

Trans girlbosses are permitted and encouraged. It is not the circumstances of one’s birth that define how much of a girlboss they are, but what they do with this life.

However, trans male characters are not permitted. Regrettably, men continue to not be girlbosses.

Submissions will close on May 23.

The Finals for Mermaid Bracket 2: Aquatic Boogaloo are underway, but I've decided to open the doors for Mermaid Bracket 3: The One About Tails early!

As the subtitle for this one suggests, this edition of the Mermaid Bracket is specifically focusing on mermaid tails! The bracket images will additionally be framed around the tails this time, not the entirety of the character.

[SUBMIT HERE AFTER READING THE RULES UNDER THE CUT]

1. All genders of merfolk are accepted. Yes it's called the Mermaid Bracket, but that's for marketing purposes.

2. The submitted character must be merfolk. This means mammalian top, aquatic bottom, and human-like sentience.

3. Fitting with the previous rule, they have to have a tail. This specific bracket is about tails after all.

4. There MUST be a clear image available showcasing their tail. The bracket images will be entirely framed around the tails, so if I can't find an image or one isn't sent to me, it's not going in.

5. Submitted characters from the same source material with very similar tails will be going up against each other in a preliminary match. This is to prevent just a bunch of the same tails in different colors filling up the bracket. If the tails are different enough though, they can skip this process.

6. Real people and mermaid personas (mermaid performers, v-tubers, etc.) are not allowed.

7. Mermaid costumed characters are allowed, even if it was a one time thing. They however have to be wearing a full mermaid tail and not just a skirt.

8. Harry Potter isn't allowed.

9. You can submit as many characters as you want, but please don't submit the same character more than once. Everyone's making it in because I love making lists and documents.

10. All characters that appeared in the past two brackets are allowed to be resubmitted for this (AS LONG AS THEY FOLLOW THE ABOVE RULES).

11. They have to have a picture. I am not pasting a screenshot of a book description of their tail.

zane julien is the white/titanium ninja and master of ice! he has died the most out of all the ninjas, but it's fine, he always gets better :) once he went mad for a season because of time travel shenanigens, became an emperor, and killed an entire group of people (and then canon just forgot). we've never had a proper zane season which is A CRYING SHAME. oh yeah and he's a robot! and he can cook! you're really not going to vote for a character who can cook? for shame.
