Shoutout to all my Jews in the diaspora in places like Ireland and Scotland. There are so few of you out there I know it can feel like you're on your own, but all your brothers and sisters in the diaspora are with you. The act of being unapologetically jewish has, and always will be, incredibly brave.

✡︎ It would have been enough
✡︎ It would have been enough for Hashem to let our people go but not have lead us to Mount Sinai
✡︎ It would have been enough for Hashem to have lead us to Mount Sinai but not have given us the Torah
✡︎ It would have been enough for Hashem to have given us the Torah but not have given us the promised land
✡︎ Yet He did all of it for our people

Baruch Hashem!! I finally have a job! A good job, that has health insurance and pays enough for me to live in a cute apartment that has its own washer and dryer! I am so so thankful I'll be able to meet my needs and have so much stress off my mind!

perfect for your Shavuot BBQ's!!
Context: Pirkei Avot 5:6 lists miracles performed by God at twilight on the Sabbath. Many of these miracles are highly significant events from the Torah, but it also lists the first pair of tongs, because, they state, you need tongs to make tongs. The text says "Baruch HaShem" which means "bless God" and is said in casual conversation when something good happens. Available on other products as well!

holy shit one treatment center FINALLY cleared me (‼️) and i’m looking at admitting in a week and a half if my labs continue to look normalish. i hate treatment, i hate treatment centers and staff. but at least this one is like a research facility instead of a big corporation like all the others so. hey im holding on to a lil bit of hope.

Oh this may seem out of the blue but I came across your post about Tom (succession) and circumcision my neighbour are Jewish and they just had a newborn boy, I was invited to their sons bris and I was honest and upfront that I don’t want to attend ceremonies that violate a child’s rights and he quickly was like “no no I fully understand I think the bris is mutilation, it’s a Brit shalom it doesn’t involve genital mutilation” so I learnt something new about Judaism. Oh, and totally off-topic but challah bread is so fucking delicious I always called it Jewish egg bread but at least I know the name now.

I had A Surgery (bilateral orchiectomy) so on the one hand I am occasionally like
":^D babe babe babe...I just remembered I don't have balls! Go ahead, slap me in the p*ssy, it won't even hurt"
but on the other hand I have now seen two posts from trans women mentioning balls and been like
":^0 wait that's a thing? people have balls in this economy???"
and I think that sense of perpetual wonderment is a blessing
