Unabashed opulence by Valerian Rybar and Jean-François Daigre. The mirrored salon at Daigre’s Paris home was inspired by the Galerie des Glaces at Versailles. The lavish and excessive duo, often described as “the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers of decoration”, were “go-to” interior designers for the Parisian elite, often turning down low budget projects due to their grandiose style. One of their well known clients was the fabulous Baron Alexis de Redé, who commissioned Rybar and Daigre to transform his magnificent apartments at the Hôtel Lambert.
