Like many people Kuroshitsuji has been on my mind lately

And I know that one of the big debates is whether or not Sebastian cares about Ciel

But

What I find more interesting is how much the rest of the staff cares about Sebastian.

Bard Finny and Mey Rin genuinely give a damn about him. Bard lends Sebastian his nightclothes, he taught Finny how to read, they all admire him for the way he keeps the manor under control. When they thought he was dead, they cried for him.

It's just kind of profound, even if he loves no one, even if he's not capable of that, he's still so loved by these silly humans

Volume 33 (Bard’s arc) vs. Volume 30 (Mey-rin’s arc): The way Sebastian fawns over Bard and Mey-rin is way too amusing, unbeknownst to Ciel. Remember that these humans impressed S in the first few months of their acquaintance. Mey-rin’s precision and concentration when hitting the targets and Bard’s leadership and presence of mind when faced with attacking enemies.

✜ He wished to be as flexible as you, he even tried to understand how to be flexible but to no avail, he can't be and that's a hate crime according to him....

✜ He is actually quite surprised that you're this flexible naturally, he is quite worried about your knees though, you have told him how your knees ache horribly, so he helps you by massaging your legs when he's free, he's happy to do so.

✜ If it's possible he tries to limit huge leg movement for you as to stop you from making a lot of leg movement could cause your legs to dislocate most likely your knees could dislocate and so it hurts and when your legs hurt you whine and he's upset about it as well.

✜ He also carries you on stairs because as you have stated a few times, you legs hurt when you go up or down and he doesn't want you to experience that so often while helping the servants.

✜ He often takes you on walks as walks are said to help hypermobile people reduce stiffness in their joint or dislocations, he also very often runs you warm baths as to help relieve your joint pain.

✜ Whenever you get joint pain or maybe you end up getting a dislocation, the first person he goes to is obviously Sebastian, who tells him how to look after you and how to reduce the pain for a while.

✜ He also heard from Sebastian that swimming and cycling are ideal exercises for people with hypermobility so he takes you swimming nearly everyday very early in the morning or in the evening and takes you cycling everyday as well, or when you both feel like it!

✜ Sometimes you knees also lock up if you're standing too long, so he asks Ciel to make arrangement for you to make sure you don't stand up for too long while working and risk locking up your knees.

✜ He freaks the fuck out of the fact that your skin is very stretchy as well to the point you cover your thumb with the skin on your hand, it's freak him out...

✜ When you did it in-front of him the first time, he though your thumb snapped off your hand and was carrying you while rushing to Ciel and Sebastian, who were equally as scared until you told them that this is very normal for you.

Agni Iyer

✜ Agni is quite familiar with this, mainly because Indian medical research is very large and very deep, so he knows how to handle you a bit.

✜ Agni makes sure you're not extending your knees too far or you're doing very strenuous tasks as to not risk hurting yourself or having horrible joint pains.

✜ He is always very happy to massage your back, legs or arms if your arms, legs or back are paining, he does not mind helping you whenever you need help!

✜ He also runs you warm baths, rubs oil on your body in case of joint pain, takes you on walks or gives you holidays whenever you need due to the fact that you're having horrible joint pains.

✜ Whenever you do very strenuous tasks he gets worried sick, something is gonna happen like you're gonna dislocate some joint and he's not going to be able to help you as if there isn't a literal doctor just a call away...

✜ He always takes you swimming in rivers or lakes whenever you both have the time and maybe cycling nearly everyday to help with your joints because doctor told him these are ideal for a person with a condition like yours.

✜ He takes doctor's advice very seriously like any other Indian would, but maybe a little too seriously...He would honestly stop you from doing anything, basically you're on bedrest most of the time, until somebody reminds him you're capable of doing things and these occurrences are quite rare and

✜ He also learnt form the doctor that your skin is very stretchy, it freaks him out, but it's fine, he finds it funny when you do stuff with you skin...

✜ He and you both do those type of things to test your flexibilities, and you of-course win all the time, it doesn't annoy him, he's happy to have fun with you!

More Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji Headcannons!!!

- William's an insomniac and perfectionist, he thinks about if his work is good enough or not whenever he can't sleep

- Grell and Ronald like to go out to parties together as friends, Othello picks them up when they can't be trusted to make it home alone, they tell him everything that happens at the parties but he's sworn to secrecy

- Grell buys herself boxes of chocolates every valentines day because nobody else will and she eats them on the couch while watching romance movies

- Ciel used to sleep in his father's shirts as a kid, but he started sleeping in Sebastian's after his father's death since he saw Sebastian's as a father figure

- Lady Sullivan really likes collecting and drying out flowers, she has an entire collection and she makes Wolfram make sure they don't get damaged

- Lizzy has sleepovers with Grell where she picks out dresses and does Grell's makeup for her. She doesn't understand, but she knows that Grell's a girl, she started using the correct pronouns after she found out

- Ran-Mao is autistic, that's why she doesn't talk much and her voice is flat whenever she does speak

- Snake makes art out of his friend's shedded skin and he became really popular for it

- Mey-Rin is one of the only people Ran-Mao will actually talk to, she understands that she has a hard time socializing and is super patient with Ran-Mao

- Finny had Ciel teach him how to be more gentle so that he could keep a pet (He has a pet bird now, it's the exact same breed as his old friend and he spends all of his free time with it)

- Ciel goes over to Undertaker's for cookies and tea whenever Sebastian doesn't want to give him sweets, he eats those cookies like he's been starved his whole life

- Bard is making Sebastian teach him how to actually cook, he uses cookbooks when Sebastian isn't available and he makes the other servants try his food when he's done to give him honest criticism

- Ronald keeps shoving William and Grell close to each other to try to get them to kiss. It worked one time and William's been a little less cold to Grell ever since

- Grell brings homemade coffee and breakfast to her friends in the office, she saves extras for William, he secretly really likes the stuff Grell makes for him

- Ciel leaves little gifts for his servants throughout the manor, he's too prideful to directly give them

-I know Jeremy Rathbone is just Sebastian's disguise but I'd still like him as a separate character lol. -I'm perfectly aware some of these choices are controversial. If you're curious, some times I dislike a character because they a) are a trope I'm tired of, or b) were written terribly/the author made some mistakes with them, even though they were supposed to be likeable, and while that's not their fault I just can't bring myself to like them. Or I'm simply not fond of their personality for personal reasons even if they were written well. Either way don't bite me lmao. -Yes, I know I've made fanart of characters from the No Strong Feelings, Not a Fan and Die categories in the past. Sometimes you only like a character's design/aesthetic or you just want to experiment with something you've never drawn before. I also never made fanart of a lot of characters I like so 🤷

For the AU, she/they and the Phantomhive household are dressed up as Japanese firefighters with Bard as the matoi holder wearing the traditional/ceremonial attire during the Edo Period together with Mey-rin (holding a fire axe) , Finnian, and Tanaka (on the ladder). The colour code, methinks, is fuchsia.

Joana's advice

Bard huffs, cigarette in hand. "I don't know what to do, Joana." He inhales, exhales, and holds back his sobs. "I made Seb..." Bard sighs: "Sebastian so mad that he won't even talk to me. I don't think I've ever seen him so angry before."

Joana shifts her eyes away, tapping her leg in silence. She takes her hand in his and offers a soft smile. "When we were together, he'd get so pissed that he'd stop talking to me. It's like he couldn't talk, like he was ignoring me against his will almost."

Bard opens his mouth a little and looks at her. He interlocks his fingers with hers and leans in her direction. "Yeah?"

Joana nods. "You know what I did?"

"What?"

"I asked a friend for advice, and she said give him time."

Bard frowns, leans over, and retracts his hand. He inhales the nicotine into his lungs. "It's been two hours now." Bard knocks the ashes into the ashtray, the butt turning red as he inhales once more.

Joana places a hand on his shoulder. "Sometimes it can take a couple hours or even a couple of days for him. I remember one time it almost took him a week to -"

"A week?" Bard smothers the embers of the butt in the ashtray. "But we live together. How can he ignore me for that long?"

Joana shrugs. "I unfortunately don't know the answer to that, but he shows that he cares in a his own, sometimes subtle ways. He'll come back around, okay?" She smiles and rubs his shoulder.

"I hope you're right." Bard lifts his head and smiles, placing his hand on hers to hold it there. "Thank you, Joana."
