The eager rays of sun slip in through the cracks in the blinds and curtains, spilling out in fractions of orange all across the room like a beehive. A light autumn breeze slips in through the open kitchen window and pulls the smell of fresh pancakes through the cabin. There's a symphony of mirth in the laughter that fills every shadowed crevice and corner, accompanied by the plucking of guitar strings and a rustling newspaper.

How completely strange it must appear to those on the outside. The three of them up at the crack of dawn, chasing the sun as though it'll never rise again simply to sit around the kitchen table and eat breakfast together. A snapshot of pure domestic bliss.

It strikes Bonnie. She pauses with her pen hovering over her crossword to look over at Enzo, sitting haphazardly on a chair with a foot angled on another one as he strums his strings to some vaguely familiar tune. He stops and rolls his eyes when Damon teases him for messing up a chord, and suddenly they're bickering again with the most joyful of smiles. They wouldn't rather be anywhere else.

Damon cuts their "argument" short as he begins dishing out pancakes onto the plate in the middle of the table. Rising steam reflects in the sun's rays, curling and reaching for the ceiling. The room fills with the delicious smell of strawberries and blueberries.

She smiles and moves to grab a pancake or two when the word she was looking for finally jumps into her head. She hurries to scrawl each letter into the little boxes, then sits back to stare at the completed crossword proudly. Contented.

least favorite storyline: d*lena sirebond nonsense probs, caroline/andie being reduced to a blood bag, st*ferine in s5.

what I wish had happened but didn’t: abby actually working hard for her and bonnie to have a relationship, caroline hating on DE in s4 for the RIGHT REASONS and reminding elena of the fact that she did not "jump into bed" on the first date but was assaulted, elena being free of the [redacted] brothers and regaining agency in s4, sheila having more of a presence on the show (and replacing the s*lvabros/al*ric as PRIMARILY BONNIE'S CARETAKER because she would prioritize her granddaughter first, but also protecting the rest of the scooby doo gang as well she'd also teach bonnie to value her self worth and not allow them to step all over her), BONNIE BEING ALLOWED TO MOURN the same way her white friends were allowed to, a motivation for bonnie outside magic, more love interests for bonnie, bonnie/qetsiyah interaction, caroline having motivations/storylines outside of male love interests, at least half the characters on this show being queer, luke parker being allowed to actually date men, nora realizing her exgirlfriend took the side of valerie's abuser over valeria and that she can do better/dating bonnie, katherine and nadia exploring their mother-daughter relationship, the mikaelsons and bonnie securing some kind of alliance

what happened that I wish hadn’t: d*roline (do i need to explain), tyler!klaus (it could have been an opportunity for michael trevino to show off his acting skills the same way nina dobrev did by playing multiple characters in one body, but instead the writers just had to go there), the second KC biting scene (which was completely unnecessary/recyled idea and totally could have been handled differently), katherine pursuing stefan instead of prioritizing her daughter

least favorite storyline: elijah's character regression in s5

what i wish had happened but didn't: klayley basically "adopting" davina in some sense; and i wanted cami to be dark!cami for a little while longer so klamille could parallel steroline. also klayley exchanging platonic gestures (klaus's hand on hayley's shoulder, her hand on his arm when she told him kindness=/= weakness) should definitely have been utilized more.

1 - first ship you remember

My memory for certain things is shit. This is one of those things.

Maybe Gracie Hart and Eric Matthews from "Miss Congeniality." The movie was just fun, and they were fun, and I just really liked fun.

15 - favorite poly ship

In all honesty, I've only recently started exploring poly ships. I know, shame on me.

That being said, Bamenzo is it. The chemistry between Bonnie, Damon, and Enzo is unmatched. Bonenzo were canonically together, but we all saw the potential in Bamon, and you cannot tell me that Damon and Enzo weren't into each other. Very not platonic. All in all, sounds like a recipe for success.

29 - favorite crossover ship

Don’t ask me how I found it, but somewhere someone propositioned the idea of Bonnie Bennett and Hermione Granger, and, yeah. I’d be so okay with that. Two of my favorite badass, smart, powerful, ruthless witches? Yes please.

He’s Back...

“Damon wasn’t my boyfriend… he was…I don’t know what he was” Bonnie says looking out the window.

He’s been gone for 1095 days.

3 years to the day.

3 years since she left him in that storage unit in New York. 3 years since he decided that having her wasn’t enough. It shouldn’t have stung so much, she should have seen it coming, it was always Elena and she knew that but some small part of her couldn’t help but hope that something had changed. After all they had literally gone to hell and back together.

“that’s even worse” Virginia groans. Bonnie had been so caught up in her train of thought she had almost forgotten she wasn’t alone. She looked over to Virginia St John shaking her head. If only her actual boyfriend knew what kind of conversations she was having with his very distant cousin.

She was never able to talk about Damon anymore, not with Enzo anyways. He assured her that it didn’t bother him but she could see the spark of jealousy in his eyes, the disappointment that came with knowing that Damon still held a spot in her heart, no matter how much she wanted to forget him.

Bonnie had admitted herself to the mental hospital to find out why her blood line was so important to the armoury. She would never admit it to Enzo but being there had actually helped her come to terms with what Damon had done to her and exactly why it had hurt her so much.

….

Enzo couldn’t help but listen to Bonnie’s conversation with his cousin. He had been craving the sound of her voice for the past couple weeks and when he finally heard it he felt like a fire was ignited inside of him. A fire that was soon extinguished by the name he heard leave her lips. Damon. He hated that someone who could so easily hurt Bonnie still had so much control over her.

Enzo was pulled out of his thoughts by Bonnies timid voice saying, “what are you doing here?”

She was afraid that he had heard her conversation with Virginia and didn’t want him to read into it.

“Things are bad out there love, you can’t hide in here forever” Enzo said, his slight British accent bringing a smile to Bonnies lips.

Bonnie closed the distance between them, walking across the room and throwing her arms around Enzo’s neck, bringing him into a passionate kiss. He needed to know that he was the only one she wanted. She didn’t want Damon, not like that… not anymore.

Enzo could hardly control his hands while they roamed Bonnies body, when she kissed him like this it was hard for him to form a coherent thought, all he knew was that he wanted more, more of her, more of this, more of them. He knew that telling Bonnie that Damon was back would change everything and he didn’t feel ready for that. He also knew that she would find out eventually so he decided it was time to get this over with.

He gently pushed bonnie away from him. As her lips broke contact with his she looked up at him in surprise.

“What’s wrong, not into this doctor patient role play?” she asked deviously

“I have to tell you something, and you’re not going to like it” … or maybe you will Enzo thought to himself.

Bonnies eyebrows rose as she waved her hand signalling for him to continue

“Damon is back” Enzo said looking down.

“What was that?” Bonnie asked, she couldn’t believe what she was hearing, she didn’t trust her own ears to convey the truth of what Enzo was saying to her.

“He’s back Bonnie… and he wants to see you” Enzo said this time looking her directly in the eye.

Bonnies face went blank as she took a step away from Enzo.

Her mind was racing but one question stood out from all the rest

i was just thinking about my limited grasp on what happened after i stopped watching tvd in 7x13 (damon leaves bonnie to pick up the pieces of her trauma and basically abandons her for three years before returning armed with flowers i guess?) and how enzo has experienced the same pain of being left behind by damon to fend for himself which bonded enzo and bonnie and facilitated their relationship because they both loved damon so much and he put them through pain........ damon basically created the bonenzo relationship and had to suffer by watching them together the two loves of his life THIS IS HOW BONENZO CAN STILL WIN [screams into the void]

so disclaimer: i didn't finish s7-8

but RIGHT like Damon really said "alright im just gonna stay putting this formerly teenage girl i sired on an impossible pedestal and never move on for years despite the perfect opportunity to be in love with bonnie until she grows old and elena is back". make it make sense damon.

regardless of delena though, you're so right??? damon self sabotaged so hard he brought two people together (which is interesting in the way that klaus healing in NO also brought two former loves of his life together) and then from what I've seen in gifsets Damon still gets jealous looks on his face all the time?? what did you think was going to happen dummy??

i wrote about this in my bamenzo fic so I'm just gonna plagiarize myself:

“He runs from anything meaningful,” Enzo supplies, still reeling from the last revelation and intent on making the idiot vampire some level of self aware by the end of the night if it’s the last damn thing he will ever do. The blue eyed glare he is receiving shows some success. “If there’s a chance there won’t be some maddening complication or angst where he can’t have an excuse to lash out, he doesn’t want anything to do with it.”

if i ever finish what's supposed to be damons pov for that last chapter it'll be because I finally found some miracle logic that he's incapable of to get them together lmao

i'm sad about elena being gone and the fact that she and bonnie won't be happy and alive at the same time again (jfc) but. i liked how emotional her individual goodbyes were with everybody and also the fact that bonnie and caroline will get more screentime lol, and that the door will open to bamon/steroline and give them moments to POP.

but also she ENCOURAGED DAMON TO DATE Y'ALL (according to stefan -- also she literally gave her boyfriend permission to date if he wanted to so idk what y'all were saying about her being needy/selfish and taking up too much of damon's attention and not being supportive of bamon because bitch where??) so anyways 1) delena's an open relationship i guess 2) this is the perfect opportunity for denzo/bamon to thrive
