“Bakuten!! Movie” The Movie and Trailer

Bakuten! official!'s website unveiled a trailer for the series' sequel film, Bakuten!! Movie. The cast is included in the video, as well as the centimillimal insert song "Hikari no Naka kara Tsutaetai Koto." The film will premiere in Japan on July 2nd, produced by Zexcs.

Random non Halloween-related Halloween night cartoon rambles:

My sister recently recommended me All Saints Street and looking at the thumbnail on YouTube, the art style seems super cute! I watched the trailer and may give it a go soon :D. It’s up on my tabs, and I’m honestly curious how it is!! She said I might’ve liked it bc it’s slice-of-life. But I haven’t even gotten around to a close friend’s recommendation of Ousama Ranking, bc I am terrible with recommendations… I also forgot most of the anime movies I wanted to wanted T~T. Short attention spans are a curse :((

I have absolutely so so SO much to say about JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures, as I’m basically nearing the end of Season 3. But part 2 where Joseph is the hilarious protagonist has got to be my favorite??? It is just such a good mix of action and hilarity lololol. I really gotta thank the mix of BoBoBo, Bakuten Shoot, and pt. 2 JoJo for getting me back the feel of excitement from being a young kid who enjoyed cartoons mainly marketed towards boys and shonen anime.

The more I draw Bakuten Stuff thing, the more I wonder how Metal Fusion is. It’s the Beyblade series my SO, sister, and people around me generally refer to/remember. But all IK so far is that Gingka is the protag, the dub voice was a bit iffy for him, and little else?? Has anyone watched Metal Fusion — dub or sub?

The release of Wiglett makes me so happy!! Gosh, I would DIE for Wiglett (figuratively of course!). It’s such a cute pokemon aaaaa. And all the Wiglett and Diglett drawings I keep seeing on my feed give me such joy lololol.

And speaking of art, another thing I have to add is that I really really want to draw Kamisama Kiss art. I had a passing thought of it the other day, and though it’s a relatively old shoujo, I only found out about it last year! And watched + rewatched it a 2nd time within a single year. I may do a 3rd watch-through. It’s an oddly comforting anime?? And the traditional Japanese aesthetic and clothing of characters is so pretty!! I don’t know though if I can do much RN bc my anatomy skills are still a bit lacking (so I guess we will see?).

Lastly, I dropped a TON of Webtoons (reader’s burnout, slow/bad pacing, stories going in weird directions etc.) and I’ve been looking for new ones to read. But I haven’t quite felt much of a push towards the medium, and nothing seems to catch my eye or focus for long. It’s sorta sad seeing the direction the platform is going in tho. And tropes are not bad necessarily — not if you do them up well with the right amount of creativity. But since I was primarily drawn to the platform for romance stories, I realized some of the same tropes that sell to an audience have been rehashed so many times. And it’s not really fun anymore when you consider that romance is an already-oversaturated genre in any platform. Guess my desire for a good romance-oriented story may have to go to shoujo instead!!

Also wtf is going on with the Miraculous Ladybug fandom??? I dropped the show maybe 2 years ago (burnout, toxic writing, the fandom getting a bit crazy). But since it’s been trending, I keep seeing *SPOILERS* stuff about the love square reversing in Season 5??? Is there actually progression?!?!! Yooooo…. I really wanna see what’s going on. Like skipping the more irrelevant bits and jumping to plot. But I may not because I just feel so conflicted on the story, which has so so much potential, but is done kinda on iffy grounds.

Backflip!!'s New Trailer Sees the Anime Film Vaulting Into Japanese Theaters July 2

  Conitinung on from the Backflip!! original TV anime, which aired from April 9 to June 25, 2021, the official Twitter for the franchise revealed tonight that the next routine for the series will be opening in Japanese theaters on July 2. A new trailer for Backflip!! The Movie (known in Japan as Eiga Bakuten!!) was also revealed, previewing the insert song "Hikari no Naka kara Tsutaetai koto" by centimilli mental.

    Along with centimilli mental singing the insert song, it was also announced that wacci will be performing the theme song "Bokura no Ippo."

  Backflip!! The Movie is directed by Toshimasa Kuroyanagi and features animation production at ZEXCS, bother returning from the TV anime series. Crunchyroll streamed the Backflip!! TV anime as it aired on Japanese TV, describing it as such:

  The final summer of middle school, Shotaro Futaba discovers boys gymnastics and is completely enamored by it. Shotaro ends up going to Soshukan Private High School (aka Ao High) and decides to visit the boys gymnastics club. He's greeted by very unique senpais and a star gymnast named Misato Ryoya. Dedicating your life to something you love during your fiery days of youth... Of course, there is frustration, and fights, but see how these boys work together as a team towards a similar goal in this drama about sports and youth.

in honor of the bakuten movie trailer and also because i can't stop thinking about, here's the long overdue mashiro interacting with mothman misato post (aka eden is back on his bullshit)

it might be beneficial to go read this hc post first because it gives some background on where im starting with this..

after misato goes through his transformation and comes back to school, mashiro is super suspicious

like his extremely punctual and fairly predictable best friend doesnt come to school for a whole month and can't even name what illness he had while he was absent

he's obviously worried for his friend, that's a given, but he just has a gut feeling that something is afoot

he's right, of course, but he doesn't know that yet

after misato gets back to school, mashiro waits until he's totally sure that misato is okay and things are back to normal and then he's just persistent as hell

constant pestering

popping up out of nowhere

on the level of misato and futaba appearing in the tree when onagawa was fake injured kind of pestering/stalking

misato gets super paranoid about it because like

obviously he's hiding something

but mashiro can't know that he's right, he was always taught that people can't know that he's part moth. it will scare them away and he's already had enough trouble making friends that he doesn't need the extra hurdle to get in his way.

but then he remembers his parents

(who ive had several hcs about, but my favorite is that his mother was also mothman but his dad wasn't so like it's a genetic thing)

his father had always been so kind and loving with b him and his mother, there had been no judgement or fear or negativity at all

in fact, in all his memories, his father seemed to glow even more with love when his mother transformed than he did at any other time...

maybe

just maybe

there were people out there who would be okay with the fact that he's mothman

he would have to take a risk in telling them, but he figured that some people were worth that risk

mashiro was one of those people

after about a month of pestering, misato finally gives in and tells mashiro. mashiro doesn't believe him at first, which is to be expected, but after misato shows him the transformation in person, mashiro is so pleased that he has such a cool best friend

he's also super pleased that he's the only non-family member that's been let in on the secret, it makes him feel special

in high school, when he learns that misato's whole team knows about him, he gets a little jealous that he's no longer the only person with this knowledge

he's a little prickly about it for a while

but then he's given the link to kurikoma's blog and misato talks to him about his outings with futaba

and he can't help but be okay with others knowing

i mean,, the pictures of misato just standing and staring at various lights in the ao high dorm is so funny and it gives mashiro so much material to use to tease him

and misato sounds so so happy talking about his time with futaba

that he can't help but be happy for his friend

so he lets go of his jealousy about it pretty easily

so there we have it, i finally made this post, which ive been planning since probably june or something..

Hi fencer! Do you happen to know if there's any more/new information on the "Bakuten!!" movie? My English/German web searches only yield the 30 second trailer and some general information on the series but I was wondering if there's additional information on Japanese sites?

I follow a couple of anime- and manga-associated Japanese news sites, which is where I assume the first news would be published, but I've yet to see anything concerning the movie other than the initial announcement that one is coming, alas!

It might be a hot minute, though, given the pandemic. I think we won't see it in 2021 at least.
