most of my headcanons kinda flow into my own version of dick figures because i’m not very Satisfied with canon NJSJDNSKM so like. for example red doesn’t just kill people or whatever. he gets into fights and has scars and wears bandaids a lot bc of them

he graduated college with blue, he got a bachelor’s degree in fine arts (honestly idk how college works bc im a grade 10 baby so if thats like totally wrong just let me know also im. canadian so idk how american school system works LOL)

red got suspended a lot in high school but never expelled. mostly bc he got in fights that were mainly him protecting stacey from shitty people (he sees her as his sister so he was rlly protective) and the school wasnt really sure what else to do so they just. you know. suspended him a bunch of times hoping itd do something but it didnt

he hates his dad! reason being is bc when he was born, his dad was actually an alien able to disguise himself as human, so he wanted to take red back to his home planet cuz red turned out to be more powerful than anything his dad had ever seen. but red’s mom was like Nope, so she snuck out with him and his plush cat (kitty amazing) and they were never found. red is very close with his mom and is scared of his dad coming back someday

we know he canonically likes rlly loud music so im just gonna project here and say he’s a metalhead. at least, some form of it. he likes the alt scene music and industrial rock. examples being deftones, nine inch nails, skinny puppy, rage against the machine, kittie and others. it keeps him focused and calm

we know blue was bullied as a kid but i dont wanna say red also bullied him bc i feel like thats just wrong to me? MAYBE ITS NOT ACTUALLY but it just makes me sad so like. lets say red, being as protective as he is, stood up for blue a lot cuz he was like “oh this kid cant fight” so he knew what to do

blue dated pink for awhile but they mutually agreed to break up after blue realized this wasnt what he wanted (he came to the conclusion that he was gay, well, he knew for awhile but it was Internalized Homophobia)

he grew up in a very conservative family so to see the world completely differently by meeting red, ems (lt), pink and stacey was a very good thing for him. unfortunately even tho his family did love him, it was conditional so they stopped talking to him after he came out. thankfully he’d already graduated high school by that point

despite being emotional blue isn’t very good at understanding how he’s an emotional person. he’s able to distinct one feeling from another and analyze them, but it’s just... hard for him to kind of. process WHY he feels a certain way? which is what’s led to a lot of his struggles in getting closer with ppl

he loooves reading and writing we already know this but i mean come on. he also got a bachelor’s degree in english/ela. so he’s able to become a teacher ig but he doesn’t really want to? at least not for awhile yet

blue was ems’ first friend. at first he couldn’t understand why they had tics but decided he shouldn’t get into someone else’s business. he didn’t find it weird, just cool!

he and red would always pair up for projects if they had classes together!!!!!! blue would do the writing/research and red would do the illustrations. they always turned out really good even if it ended with red cramming it at the last minute

surprisingly hates broseph more than red. well i mean its not surprising, because broseph was always a huge DICK to him

pink is very very smart and will help anyone who’s struggling with something in school. she was basically the genius who always got in the honor roll every year. but, she actually was really anxious especially with exams

pink encourages stacey to go back to school, and sometimes stacey does, but she always ends up leaving again. it’s a little stressful but pink has hope for her

she’s never drank one sip of alcohol in her entire life. she smoked weed once, but it felt weird so she didn’t do it again

ever since she and blue broke up she’s been very supportive of him bc she herself is bisexual!!! so she sees nothing weird about it. in fact, about almost a year later she started dating stacey

pink’s real name is lily. when she became friends with blue she met red through him and she was like “can i join your nickname thing” and they said “sure” so they called her pink. stacey sometimes calls her pinky or just pink but mostly lily

pink helped red with academics. even tho he was sometimes insufferable to work with (/j thats a Joke i promise she’s a very patient person) she didn’t give up on him!!!! in return he helped her out with some fitness stuff cuz pink was always insecure about gym, and later when she graduated she actually got into exercising bc of red!

she loves travelling and going for walks. she owns a lot of houseplants and she’s given them all names and takes very good care of them! she also owns an albino ball python named Velvet

stacey is nOT actually all about sex this time ok. i don’t like that. i mean she did have some personality in canon but it wasn’t much? anyways she just really likes to express herself thru tight/”risque” clothing like fishnets and leather and pleated skirts and thigh-highs and platform boots, all of that. basically she’s a goth girl but doesn’t really “act” like one

she’s really intelligent when it comes to animals and insects and will tell you anything you need to know. when she goes back to college she gets a degree in environmental science

stacey can play the electric and bass guitars!!!! she was in a band back in high school but it never really went anywhere beyond performances at parties in someone’s garage. not that she didn’t like it, looking back on it makes her feel happy, but she wished it continued. probably why she has a hard time going back to college bc she’s not sure what she really wants

stacey is a trans woman btw!!!!! unfortunately it was a little difficult in high school to be who she was bc some kids were jerks, but there were a lot of others who supported her which is good

she views red as her brother as well and they still hang out a lot

i haven’t really had time to focus on stacey and make headcanons and stuff for her so i don’t have a lot but... let’s say, secretly, she’s a scifi nerd. and for the sake of debate, let’s say she’s a marvel fan. if you count being a fan of deadpool as being a fan of marvel

ems is agender, i’d say they’re also ageless but i don’t really want to make them too “nonhuman” because i feel like that’s dehumanizing to people with tourette’s. so let’s just say most laws of existence don’t apply to them

ems was never really affected by things people said to them regarding their syndrome. to them it was something they were born with, so they couldn’t bother to feel bad about themselves. in certain situations theyre able to control it but 90% of the time they don’t care about what ppl think

aaaand there u go!!! as for minor characters like raccoon, jason/trollz0r, broseph, dingleberry, they all exist (raccoon isnt a racist stereotype tho), i just dont focus on them a whole lot. most of my hcs for stacey and ems here were thought up on the spot since i havent had time to lay out all my ideas for them but i hope what i have here is good !!!!

Ok I need to rant. Majorly.

Maybe I’m crazy. If I am, please let me know. I am turning 24 this month. But ok I got married a little over a year ago. Prior to this I lived at home with my parents, I wasnt allowed to stay out late, they would wait up for me to come home. Wasnt allowed to go on any over night trip with my fiancé. The whole 9 yards of extreme portuguese parent control.

I am now married and live literally a 2 minute drive away from my parents (because this is a really nice area and I like it not because I needed to be that close to them for any particular reason) and every weekend since I got married I faithfully visit them on Sundays and a few times had them over at my place instead for sunday lunch. (Not worth mentioning but I’ll mention anyway - we’re never actually “invited” over. We’re very rarely offered a meal when going over. Doesn't matter but just a detail.) This includes during my entire pregnancy, from the extreme tired and fatigue and nausea of the first trimester right up until two weeks ago seeing that I’m now in my third trimester and tired and feeling like you know I’d rather spend my weekend relaxing in between all the other things I have to do before baby gets here. its been hella BUSY.

In between visits with my parents they never call or text me. Never check on me pregnancy wise, etc. There are times even when I text my mom and she never answers me (and she is NOT phone illiterate. Also I can see when she reads texts). If I check in with them I get the “ok” responce to “how are you”. I gave up with that. I’m tired of the effort only being on me.

So like I said, its been two weeks since I’ve visited. I didnt give an explanation the first week. No one checked in on me. I mean for fucks sake I couldve been in the hospital or something but they literally never get in touch with me. Then last weekend we had friends of my husbands from out of town (something that had been pre-planned for months) here to visit so we spent a day with them and I was on my feet all day, not to mention socially drained and I needed to relax the other day (theres only 2days in a weekend!) prior to that weekend I texted my mom to see how she was and tell her I probably wouldn't be by because of those plans but said I’d come by THIS weekend (aka tomorrow).

Now its friday and honestly. I don't want to go. Again. No one checks in if I don't. And if I’m silent for weeks, they return it with silence. They don't ever check in on me. I mean is it normal for parents to not care to this degree? Especially when I had zero freedom prior to moving out. They were never emotionally close or supportive to me but there was always that control factor but now I’m moved out, Ive shown and proved plenty that I care about having a relationship with them and they don't return it in their actions at all.

Now maybe if I had NO other priorities besides making that ONE weekly visit, I’d care less and be able to make it work. But that just isn't the case. Kevin has a 90 year old grandmother who we are both very close to and visit once a week during the week, almost every week. Someone who actually does notice our absence. Someone who appreciates our visit. Then, Kevin’s dad is currently in the hospital recovering from a double organ transplant. He has been in various hospitals and medical centers since November. We also visit him (and Kevins mom who is at the hospital with him most of the time) once a week. There was a time during this period that we didnt even know that he would survive. He was on a transplant list for nearly 2 years. He was extremely close to death, if he didnt get those organs when he did he would not be alive right now. Before he got so sick, we also , were visiting Kevins parents every weekend at their house. They always asked us if we were coming by, always made a meal for us all to share. Kevin’s mom, who has been going through literally the craziest, busiest time of her life, going to work and going to the hospital, every single day for the past 6+ months, one of the hospital stays being 1 1/2 hours away from home and she went faithfully every day, THIS WOMAN, has texted my husband every day to see how we are doing, and specifically always asks how I am doing, how my appointments are going, how I’m feeling. Its a tiny consideration that goes such a long way. Something you kind of expect from a mom???? But my own parents don't do.

So its like. Am i crazy to be sick and tired of visiting every weekend ? To go to their house to sit in a room with one of them staring at the tv and the other their cell phone. Occasionally having a conversation with us, but otherwise it being quiet and slightly uncomfortable and god forbid me, feeling like a bit of a waste of time. Especially when they never check in on me/us. They never invite us over. They never ask to come over. But in contrast to that my mom is so overbearing about the baby stuff. She is handling my baby shower and knows that I don't like overly frilly pink things and she's making sure that it is exactly all about that, because thats what SHE likes. And buying the baby a thousand pairs of shoes even though I already told her I won't be putting shoes on her until she can walk. I mean. If you've been following me you know my mom has her own book of issues and our relationship is very complicated, bt she has a shopping addiction and is very materialistic and thats just not me. I don't live my life that way. We really clash there and I don't want my daughter to have to deal with what I dealt with with my mom, which is conditional love.

Ive totally gone off track here. I hate even writing these things and publishing them because I’m sure theres that one person who has one thing to say at least about oh at least you have parents or something which, yes I get that. But any other relationship in life this lack of effort would not be acceptable at all. I don't chase people who don't ever show that they care to keep in touch. I feel like my parents take for granted how dedicated I have been to keeping in touch. Have I even mentioned that I through a mothers day brunch for my mom mother in law sister in law and grandmother in law that my mom knew about for weeks and chose to come late to even though she's never late to anything and knows people being late drives me a little nuts (like her. she hates it too so I don't get why she did that to me. It wasnt even an accident. my dad went to church. she was home. he was gonna be late. she couldve came and he couldve come late. she chose to wait for him. i live 2 minutes away.. she couldve just came). I had spent the whole morning, in my third trimester of pregnancy mind you, on my feet with my husband cooking a really nice big brunch for everyone and she came late. Made my other guests feel awkward eating the food HOT as intended because she hadn't shown yet. She didnt even deserve me caring enough to do that. This woman has emotionally abused me my entire life, and physically to a degree when I was a child. But still I have this stupid good daughter complex that I feel guilt whenever I don't show appreciation even tho I’ve never been appreciate.

I’m having a baby in less then 2 months. She is going to be my #1 priority in life. I don't think people realize the shit I do. The shit I’ve been doing. It isn't going to continue. I need to be present for my child. I need to be what I didnt have. I need to give her the love and time and nurturing she needs. I need to be the least broken version of myself for her. I’m starting to feel less guilty about not putting effort toward my relationship with my parents. I don't have it in me. I can't do it all. They might not understand putting forth and expressing healthy effort to their children, but I know how important it is. My daughter will have that. Even if it comes at the expense of them barely seeing me. Its their choice in the end. They could pick up the phone too. I’m sick of being the only one.

Personal Draft #1

As a young child I always checked and was very observant to things around me but also around the area. At a young age, I began noticing many differences between my town but also how we would be treated different. In a small town located in Morris County Dover stands out quite a lot. Just a few names the towns adjacent love to call us include “ Dover ricans” , “ Dover Central” and the worse one of them all “spics”. Why? Well by now the picture should already have been painted and displayed. Dover is a small town mainly populated by spanish and Latino people. Colombians, Mexicans, Hondurians and Peruvians are just a few of the countries of which whom people have came from. All in pursue for the American Dream. For those who might not be aware the American Dream it is as followed. Basically any person not in the US willing to come here will do anything to move away from whatever situation one might be facing back at home. This can include corruption, violence and many other scenarios that arent the best. The right way to chase this dream is technically applying for Visa and waiting for the state to approve or decline but borders and sometimes even declined Visas lead people to do whatever it takes to get away from their country. On the other hand to be exact, the amount of people according to the Census was last taken to be a total of 18,257 people. You can imagine how residences feel being called all these names. Now despite what other towns have to say, as a community we stand together and understand who we are and personally Dover has shaped me into the person I have become today, it has helped me when I look ahead of time and bring this strong connection just being from Dover.

To begin, lets take it back a few years back to 1999. A couple in love partially in their 20s decided to make the move across the country and settle down in Jersey. From beaches and sunshine in tropical Costa Rica to rain and snow at the garden state. They felt comfortable in this town called Dover where old friends and family all either moved or lived forming a close relationship. All they were aiming for was to give their children a better experience then the one back at home filled with corruption and violence. Whats a disadvantage of living in such a small town? How close your parents become with other parents and before you know it someone knows every single detail of you. Anyways, later that year a beautiful seed was born and I came out ready and hungry to succeed in this harsh world remembering and treasuring what they had to do to get to this moment. Now leaving a country where you know like the back of your hand is completely difficult especially when now your new thought process becomes completely different. One obvious situation was not knowing the language.How will i say what I want and what I don’t? As the years progressed little changed but the desire to do anything to see their son have what they hadn’t even imagined. Dover isn’t just home to me its basically home to my loving parents as well. To me being from this town makes me proud and i always wear it with pride and excitment. Now in college I understand how my parents have given me everything especially their support and yes theres no price tag for that. Im glad my parents were able to settle in this community. All those years of staying up late for test worked out but most importantly how I feel about this home connection transfers to Cent just because iI feel what my community has managed to shown me to be.

In Addition, Dover has a distinguished trait most towns around the area don’t. That includes bonding with everyone and everybody. . In every corner despite not knowing someone we all get along. Dover is a composed of such a tiny amount of people inn areas related, as to why everyones parents came here for the same reason. You might not know someone but that doesn’t mean absolutely nothing. In every corner you’ll see small talk and smiles on faces. The smallest of interactions brings the community so close. This bond cannot be broken. Everyone eventually ends up at the high school and you might not talk to someone but they definitely know someone from your family or a friend in common. My whole educational career through Dover I shared friendships literally meeting someone because of someone we were friends with that’s how small the town was and still is. During spirit weeks at the high school we would all participate and interact with different grades we might not usually hang with.Students would also always volunteer for special olympics giving many of us interactions with students you might not normally have in a classroom. School was actually fun. We didn’t have to worry about being picked on for not knowing an answer or for asking a dumb question. At the end of the day, we all knew we were here to get out of this small town. To give back to our parents for ditching everything they had back at home.Being part of something so compact and close was special in a unique perspective. The school didnt have clicks that would bother people. We all might hang out with a certain click but being in another had no issues with anyone. Everyone knew what was up and how we were free from high school drama even if the “drama” was necessarily in a classroom In my opinion, nobody was left alone in school we all had an understanding of what it was to wear orange and black. When out downtown at coffee shops and restaurants everyone chats up a storm on literally any topic. Students formed bonds with absolutely anyone even the janitor. Our janitor was such a moving person day by day one needed his wise words .unfortunately, the day of his death everyone cried and attended his funeral but what he meant to us will forever be in our hearts.. Last nights game, the community gatherings and even on someones look people are so friendly and heartwarming you cant find that at least not around my surrounding areas. The community believes we are all equal. Some of us might not have the best cars,clothes or even house but we put that aside and care about whats inside. Thats what truly makes me proud to let someone know I am from Dover.

Moreover, despite enjoying the bond we all had most towns around us didn’t like this bond. At sporting events some refs made it aware they disliked this Latino based town.Filling me up with nothing but fuming flames ready to pop. Many racist chants as well as saying from the other teams were usually being said to us 99% of the game. Especially, if we were dominating the game. For example, as part of the soccer team many times I myself would be called “spic” “immigrant” and a “wetback” all false but what can you say when an all Latino team is beating you 4-0 for a county game. I never imagined to be facing something like racist chants, I always believed it was a black vs white debate. I was wrong . Racism was a big part in my high school not inside but when telling people where I was from or arriving to an opposing teams home field and realizing they were playing Dover. My senior year at a basketball game away racist chants were burst out by the opposing team and nothing was done about it. An apology at the end of the day is meaningless at this point in our life. 2019 and we forget how far we have come. Comments stand no where near the reactions of strangers outside of town when you would tell them where you were from. For some reason many Americans believe every Latino is a criminal and want nothing to do with life. Stereotypical comments. I have heard them all. Outsiders also tend to believe being hispanic means you’re most likely from Mexico. So a Dover resident might be asked.’Hey are you Mexican?” And if you are the stereotypical response is to shrug the shoulder and stay quiet. Let me assure you what being hispanic means. Hispanic means you come from either Central or South America. Not Mexico. Good people do exist and in Dover nothing is different. Take me for example. A smart kid focused on school and soccer and from time to time a girl might catch my attention. Whenever I end up with someone of class or with a degree and a conversation is started everything is smooth. Everything until the moment when you get asked “where are you from?” I have had people ask me if Dover is the hood and if I’m a dealer. No. I am not the stereotypical person. The stereotypes about Latinos had to end. Outsiders have casted this spell were Dover from the outside is in reality seen like a hood. Seen as a horrible place to live and if you ask me the percentage of Americans I really have no clue as there might be at least 5 in the whole high school not including people of color, asians etc. One of the reasons for being so confident and passionate about where I’m from is because I know the truth. I know what every single kid in Dover wants to do. As I’ve said before just to make their parents proud but also move away from this toxic energy around it.

In conclusion, my community has in a way shaped me into the person I have become today. From greating everyone and being polite in which i have been taught to do. My community has also taught me to be yourself, Put yourself out there and dont be afraid of what anyone says. Have you ever heard the phrases, “Do you” and “Be yourself” Ignoring the toxic waste that people want to make you believe just to bring you down and never get anywhere. Those racist chants said to us at our soccer games are all obnoxious and annoying but to me they are said to bring me down. If they hate you, it might be because you are killing it and doing a fantastic job at whatever you set your mind to do. To me orange and black are colors that bring creativity and success into the picture. Dover has made me be strong for my family. Everyone in town relates to me and being able to represent where you have came from is a huge honor. When i see a family of hispanics I imagine the hard work and hours the parents put in just to bring food onto the table. In todays world many of them might not have any family nor free time to rest. Latino people are not criminals. We are hard workers who want the best for the people we love. Despite our circumstances we all manage to be united and block all the nonsense heard in todays world. Being from Dover makes me feel like i had something other schools and towns dont and its the connection with one another. I cant imagine how i would struggle making friends at other schools if i werent to have gone to Dover. I always think about where im from and represent when committing or setting myself up for whatever in plan, good or bad. Known as a negative community i always put into perspective the good comments after I accomplish something. In my perspective, i always give it my all and if i get asked where im from and i know ill receive a weird smirk I smile and let them know Dover is a beautiful town filled with bright people who want the same as you and I. I hold my head up high and appreciate my community. Attending town functions and town ahll meetings are just a few ways I tend to help my town grow and have a better name for itself.

He then proceeded to put me in the back of his police car and ask me questions such as name, address, telephone number, mobile telephone number, height, weight etc.. which I believed to be innocent questions.. but then the questions kept going down a quite frankly rediculous route and he asked me ''hair colour, eye colour, what are you wearing?, where are you going? why are you going there? etc etc and I started to wonder if he was taking the mick. Then after all that he asked for my car insurance documentation and driving lisence and I said I didn't have any on me except my lisence. He looked at my lisence, wrote down some information and gave it back to me. He then said ''do you realize it is an offence not to carry your car insurance documents with you when asked to produce them at the roadside?''. Again I apologized and said that I had no idea that this was the case. He then gave me five days to produce my photo and counterpart driving lisence and car insurance documents at the local police station or I would be arrested for failing to produce documents on demand. He then asked me to provide a testimony which would be read in court if I didn't produce the documents and so I said ''I'm terribly sorry for any inconvenience''. He then let me out. Suffice to say, the next day I took my documents to the police station for inspection. Is this standard proceedure?""
