in my opinion young adult zukka is twink sokka and buff zuko and then as they get older they are buff 4 buff. i just can't imagine twink zuko at all

i agree conceptually but i'm not sure buff is the word bc i don't think either of them would be on the same kind of "exercise plan" they were in canon. like are either of them gonna totally give up swordplay? no. that would make their sword dad piandao sad. but whatever zuko was doing to get a six-pack at sixteen is NOT going to fit with his schedule as fire lord. and sokka's a skinny teenager who probably doesn't get enough food for a growing kid and who's constantly running and fighting. if he gets to live more comfortably and practice fighting on his own terms his body's gonna look different. possibly still on the leaner side, since we see what an accomplished fighter in his style looks like in piandao, but ultimately i don't wanna be seen as a proponent of skinny twink sokka. that's not who i am. i'm fat and i think more characters should be fat, or at the very least have bodies that aren't stereotypically thin/muscular.

also re: their parents i think we need to take lifestyle into account there too. like i believe hakoda's true form is dadbod even though technically he's slimmer than ozai. you need extra weight to survive in the cold and his face shape - which in flashbacks looks less gaunt - points to broader features overall. and ozai probably has some super crazy intense training regimen, for all we know he could've been naturally slimmer (though iroh points to the family being naturally broader).

my point was that twink zuko and big buff sokka is stereotypical and based more on what people think their parents are, not them, and that's ridiculous bc they're not their parents. canonically sokka is slimmer and zuko is more buff. that can change but don't be stereotypical about it when the starting place is the exact opposite
