Hello :) all I've said till now is that I have read everything that is supposed to be problematic in this drama, but after watching the first three eps i can say that I didn't even find one of those things in the show (you can read an older ask I've answered about this). If you have any points you think are incorrect or insensitive, please do share it with me (only if you have actually seen the drama though, if you are another one of those people who have based off their entire view of the show over some tweets, then please don't bother)

NK spies being sent to SK is a proven historical reality (and present day issue as well, it's why NK deserters get interrogated before being admitted to SK, because they could potentially be spies as well. Seriously people on this site must be incredibly ignorant about war if they think sending spies into enemy's territory isn't a common occurance in a conflict lol And it goes both ways, SK likely has spies in NK too). What was probably a lie was NK spies being involved specifically in the protests but we have yet to find out if that's what Snowdrop's ML's doing. All we know right now is that the government's absolutely been presented as the bad guy which makes me trusting. Honestly it's kind of funny seeing people who up till two days ago knew nothing about this part of history, write essays about the innacurate portrayal of a 16 episodes show of which only the first 2 are out.

Yes, exactly! The ml has not been, in any way, associated with the protests till now. We don't know what will happen in the next eps but jtbc seems pretty confident about the show so I'll trust that nothing wrong takes place ahead too. And yes lmao, on their end everyone's doing what they think is right, but what they have done till now is make assumptions about the future eps of a drama/criticise the drama based on a few tweets they read when they themselves haven't seen it.

honestly i think snowdrop is good and doesn't glorify the villains really, but i just hate how the fans are responding to it. i respect jisoo, but her fans are insane. how was the sauna scene hot or funny? i was as terrified as seolhee was while watching that scene. with that said, i don't think it should be cancelled after two episodes, but i hope people start to view some upcoming scenes with an open mind.

And yes i was scared after the first ep aired that the drama will be cancelled but till now it won't so that's great news! I don't mean the drama is saying that, I mean the actual real life right-wing is currently actively saying that in SK, and the drama is part of sneakily pushing that view to younger generations. It's a bigger political context. That's why people are angry.

That's the whole point. the girls are helping ml hide because they know nis just frames student protestors. It was so common they didn't even think twice before helping him hide. Even the dorm head helped hide him from the cops because she also thinks he's just another student protestor.

Why are you watching snowdrop? It's genuinely right wing propaganda that's turning the government's framing and killing of a historical student activist as a north korean spy into an ACTUAL north korean spy. It's taking a horribly tragic real event and turning it into this. Please look it up, and don't support the show.

I've read everything about what happened in sk at that time and I do understand your concerns, however, if you saw the second ep, you'd know one of jisoo's roommates in the drama (who is a student protestor btw) literally said outright "spy? You know the cops frame student protestors as nk spies all the time!"

...and this is exactly what happened at that time in sk. This is represented in the show in the most obvious way possible and still people keep on saying this drama is distorting history. Again, ml actually being a nk spy doesn't help, i know, but don't tell me you're 100% sure there weren't nk spies at that time. There could've been one, the cops could've been searching for them (along with doing all those brutal things to students😔😔😔). Even if there wasn't, this is a fictional show not a documentary. If jisoo's roommate didn't have that dialogue in which they make it clear that cops did make out student protestors to be spies I'd be right on your side but i don't see anything wrong with the drama.

As for the romanticisation of nis, i don't see it at all. While watching the first ep all I thought was nis is super shady and weird. Even after two eps i don't see them in a positive light. If you have certain instances where you think they're shown as good people please let me know!

I've also seen some other people talking about the protestor song being played in the bg while ml was running from the nis and...did they not see actually student protestors standing on the streets in that scene singing that song?

This is all I have to say till now, if there are some other specific things you still think are wrong with the drama I'll gladly listen and try my best to educate myself!

Guess what I did last week? I bought socks with HEDGEHOGS ROASTING MARSHMALLOWS on them AND socks of PENGUINS SKIING. HOW AMAZING IS THAT!!!

Well as many people have predicted correctly, I passed the Bar! Hallelujah! I was sworn in as an attorney this week so I am officially an esq! I also am scheduled to received my dolly booster shot next week and earlier this month I started a new (not 80 hours a week) job! So I have had a fabulous month and have many things to be thankful for including my epic sock purchase! Which is perfect timing for the holiday ahead! So I wanna know what you are thankful for this year? I know it's been a tough year for so many so it can be as small or as large as you can think!
