what would the FGG be divines of? what would they do with it?
I think there are many possible answers to this question, but here are some random ideas...
Evan, Divine of Righteousness. He uses his divine powers to make the world a better place in any way he can. He continues to help people with their problems and tries to set right every wrong he encounters.
Lukas, Divine of Melancholy. Suicide was a choice that has now been taken away from him. Perhaps he wallows in self-pity forever, or maybe he decides to get his shit together and make the world a place worth living in. Probably teams up with Evan in that regard.
Glenvar, Divine of Drink. Just sails around the world and drinks himself to death over and over again with no consequences.
Alaine, Divine of Music. Uses her powers to become a world-famous pop star, fulfilling her childhood dream.
Jeimos, Divine of Nerds. Hacks into a Damijani news feed and broadcasts a special message for Chieftess Serafeen. All of Damijana sees Jeimos' bare ass that day, and no one can do anything about it because they're a divine.
Isaac, Divine of Joy. Tries to bring fun and laughter wherever he goes. Gives toys to children. Believes everyone deserves happiness and uses his powers to bless everyone who needs it. Becomes dort of a Santa Claus-like figure.
Linde, Divine of Self-Care. She's like the yin to Miliko's yang, the good to his evil. Miliko promotes vanity and self-criticism, while Linde promotes acceptance and loving onesself.
Balthazaar, Divine of Dudes. He gives a voice to all the Regular Joes of Looming Gaia, the middle-class blue collar guys. Not flashy rich men, but the average dude.
Skel, Divine of Ego. He's too busy obsessing over himself to help others. He uses his powers to obtain wealth and gobs of fancy bullshit that helps him feel "above" everyone else.
Javaan, Divine of Promiscuity. Breaks the record for "largest orgy on Looming Gaia" every year for a thousand years in a row.
Elska, Divine of Vengeance. If you piss her off, you can never stop running because she'll never stop chasing. Whoever gets on her bad side is screwed.
Mr. Ocean, Divine of Devotion. He is bound to whoever or whatever he loves for all eternity, forced to protect them with his immortal life. Everyone selfishly seeks his love, and he is so overwhelmed that he's forced into hiding with Salina and Marina. They're like "we told you so, bro..."
Zeffer, Divine of Vampire-Slayers. He forges monsters that seek and destroy vampires. They get out of control, and now they're after him too. He's forced into hiding for all eternity.
Zacry, Divine of Automatons. Can a robot contain a divine soul? I don't know. But if it did, this would change the way people view automatons forever. Zacry would become some kind of Machine-Jesus for all robotkind.

Chaucer as the Father of English Poetry, Literature and Language
Chaucer as the Father of English Poetry, Literature and Language
Chaucer is referred not only as father of English poetry but also as father of English language and literature. Even today English literature is incomplete without reading him. Every student when get admission in English literature he has to read poetry from the very beginning. For this, he reads Chaucer’s poetry in detail especially his book “The Prologue to the Canterbury Tales”. Chaucer, if is…

These replies damn near killed me lmao
I LOVE the idea of Morgause getting offended when someone implies she's anything less than a deplorable maniac.
"What do you mean I 'wouldn't eat a baby'?! I'd eat a thousand babies! Ten thousand! Alive! I'd pluck them right out of an orphanage, set the place on fire, and cackle maniacally while I stuffed them down my gullet--and how dare you think otherwise! You don't know me, you ingrate! >80"
Then she swishes her cape dramatically as she heads for the exit, kicking a poffle like a football on the way out.

I'm interested to hear about Cerulea's daughters. Are they prissy and religious like their mom or are any of them rebellious?
That's interesting to think about! I imagine Cerulea was about 45 years old when she gave birth to Cobalt. Assuming she started having kids in her 20s, her six daughters probably range from 10 to 25 years old. At this point in the story I think Cobalt is about 5.
I haven't thought too deeply about her daughters yet, but if I were to throw some basic info out real quick, I'd say...
Lazuline (25) - As the oldest child, her siblings view her as a second mother. She is deeply religious like Cerulea, but is less fanatical about her beliefs. She is intelligent and analytical, and believes these hateful scriptures can be interpreted in new, progressive ways. She and her mother have had many long, heated debates about religion. She often preaches the scriptures to her younger siblings to teach them things.
Saphirra (23) - A hopeless romantic who is notorious for her many...many...divorces. In Evangeline Kingdom, women may only get divorced if they have evidence their husbands are abusing or cheating on them. Some find it suspicious that every single one of Saphirra's eight husbands is a cheater or batterer, and believe she's framing them just because she grows bored of them. Her marriages typically last no longer than a year. Her shortest marriage lasted only a week before her husband was accused of wife-battery and thrown in the dungeon with the rest. You'd think her reputation would scare away suitors, but her stunning beauty just keeps drawing in new victims...
Teal (20) - Teal is a mommy's girl, 100%. She's such a suck-up, it's hard to tell where her nose ends and Cerulea's butt begins. She's constantly on her mother's heels, copying her, dressing like her, trying to please her, and of course never does anything that would upset her. She makes a big show of policing her siblings' behavior, and yes, they all hate her for it.
Cyana (16) - Cyana is the quietest yet most rebellious of Cerulea's daughters. No one knows what a punk she is because she hides her improper behavior so well. As a middle child, she is often forgotten. She uses this to her advantage to sneak around, do drugs, and hang out with boys. But while she's at home, she buries her face in the holy book and pretends to be a goody two-shoes.
Marine (12) - She is Cerulea's disaster-child. Marine can't seem to do anything right. She fails all her classes, can't stay organized to save her life, causes trouble without meaning to, and she's terribly clumsy. Half the time her dresses are on backwards and there is gum stuck in her hair. Unlike Cyana, she isn't trying to rebel. She's actually trying to be good...she's just really bad at it, and she drives her parents crazy.
Skylie (10) - A sweet and imaginative--if scatterbrained--little girl who seems to have her head in the clouds. She's passionate about art and fiction. She finds her kingdom boring, wishing to experience the magical world outside the border. Of course her family does not approve of this, so they try to squash down her artistic side and mold her into a proper, religious Evangeline noblewoman before it's too late.

Silly question. Which of the guys would be interested in trying the “The Luther” from the boondocks? A full pound burger patty covered in cheese, grilled onions, 5 strips of bacon and two Krispy Kreme doughnut for buns?

What fancy and decadent dishes do the Great Kingdom leaders and their families love to eat? Do they secretly eat food that’s more “plebeian” as they might say?
Good question! I think it would be tedious to go through every single character's tastes, so I'll just talk about the most notable ones.
FOLKVAR: Juvella loves traditional Folkvaran fudge bars. It's her biggest weakness. This woman tries so hard to stay in shape, attending aerobics classes every day, turning down so many junk foods at the royal feasts, keeping track of everything she eats to stay healthy...then every night, she hides in a closet while she secretly scarfs down a plate of these damn fudge bars. She's deeply ashamed and hides this behavior from Gultopp, believing he would think her weak for having so little self-control. In reality, he'd just be like "o shit u got fudge?? pass me some of those! :D"
MATUZU: Marghan has a taste for exotic cuisine, and it must be authentic! He has every meal imported from faraway lands, and he does so in the most impractical, expensive way possible. Of course he's not using his own allowance money for this, oh no...he's using Matuzan tax dollars for his cross-continental DoorDash orders, the little prick.
LAMAI: Chua hates gruju, but pretends to love it because it's synonymous with Lamaish culture. They force themselves to chug that crap at every gala to keep up appearances. Every one of their conjoined siblings has their own likes and dislikes, which makes dinner time a complicated ordeal. One sibling has an addiction to xamali and sneaks this alcoholic beverage whenever Chua isn't looking. Of course, Chua suffers the consequences of whatever their siblings consume...on more than one occasion, Chua has found themselves randomly drunk or on the verge of shitting themself because of things their siblings ate.
YERIM-MOR: Roz brews his own kombucha, believing it has all kinds of crazy health benefits. He drinks this stuff all day long and encourages his son Jaq to drink it too, but Jaq thinks it's gross and his dad is weird. Roz is also a fan of yogurt, cheese, and all things probiotic. This is a guy who tries to nurture life wherever he goes, but that's hard to do when his kingdom is such a pit of death. If he can't breathe life back into his kingdom, at least he can nurture microbial life.
ZAREEN: Qara and her husband are junk food junkies, but Qara is particularly fond of sweetpork burgers. In fact, her love of these burgers is so well known that she endorsed a Zareenite burger chain, appearing in their ads for many years. This chain quickly became the most popular fast food joint in the empire. Some would say it's unprofessional and uncouth--perhaps even unethical--for an empress to advertise such unhealthy slop to her people. But this deal scored Qara a lifetime supply of free burgers, and she regrets nothing. Her endorsement of such plebian cuisine won her points with blue collar Zareenites, convincing them that she was ~*~relatable~*~. Other people think her tastes are just as trashy as she is.
EVANGELINE: Indiga strikes me as the type of woman who eats the exact same things every day. A traditional blue breakfast, meat pie for lunch, blue dinner, and a couple cookies for dessert. Every day. For decades. She's so xenophobic, she doesn't trust any sort of foreign cuisine.
MOGDIR: Oberon has a thing for mushrooms, especially truffles. He demands only the finest specimens, no matter their cost. After snorting a long line of pink sugar off a hooker's ass, he washes it down with some silk milk tea, his favorite drink. His daughter, Winnie, is a bugs rights activist who refuses to eat any bug-based dishes. This is hard to do in a place like Mogdir Kingdom, as its traditional cuisine is based almost entirely around bugs. That's because in this culture, farming animals for meat is forbidden, but bugs are not considered animals here. Winnie is like a Mogdiri super-vegan who subsists on scrap rice and carrot mash. She won't even consume bug byproducts such as honey or silk milk.
ETIOS: Hethor loves to eat grass. She's a typical Etiosi grass snob who insists that different types of grass have completely different tastes. Other than that, she enjoys quite a bit of Folkvaran cuisine, which is shipped to her regularly by her pal Gultopp as an act of good diplomacy.
DAMIJANA: Serafeen regularly visits different Damijani restaurants and eats their food as a PR stunt. In reality, she can't stand her empire's native cuisine and much prefers Mogdiri food. Of course she can't possibly let her people know this, and they would flip their lids if they saw their god-like leader put a bug in her mouth. Most foreign cuisine is viewed as "dirty" and "uncivilized" in Damijana. Serafeen must endorse only the sterile, hyper-processed cuisine of her native land.
SEELIE: There is a cup of chocolate coffee within arm's reach of Titania at all times. It's one of the few little joys she has left in her grueling, never-ending life. She has grown sick of all flavors, having tasted them all too many times...but there's something about that chocolately coffee that never gets old to her.
UNSEELIE: Morgause enjoys pickled squid. She'll sit on her throne and eat it straight from the jar with her fingers, she doesn't give a shit. She seems to have a taste for bitter, vinegary things in general.
AQUARIA: Sovereign is infamous for eating live baby dolphins, considering them a delicacy. He insists they must be alive until the moment he bites into them for peak freshness. This makes him sound like a picky guy, but in reality he's a total glutton who will eat damn near anything you put in front of him. He'll even eat stuff he hates as long as it's convenient. Bro has a pretty bad eating disorder, to be honest...It's less about enjoying food and more about the act of consumption for him, which fits his greedy nature.

What are the biggest conflicts right now?
I'm assuming you mean conflicts within Looming Gaia at large?
There are actually a lot of major conflicts going on at this point in the main story. I'll try to keep this as brief as possible:
Nymph Pact: As civilizations grow, their impact on the natural environment increases, and this causes harm to Gaia. Some kingdoms realized that endless growth is not sustainable and signed a document to restrict technological advancement, called the Nymph Pact. But other kingdoms refused to sign this document and continue their growth unchecked, damaging the planet and enraging nymphs. This has led to countless battles, large and small, between nymphs and peoples all across the world.
Evangeline-Folkvar war: Evangeline decided to enslave fae and gaians. Refugees sought freedom in the northeast and founded Folkvar Kingdom. The two kingdoms now struggle for dominance over the land of Noalen.
Sovereign's Terrian genocides: Sovereign asked some of the Great Kingdoms to stop polluting the oceans because it was causing harm to Aquarian peoples. The kingdoms politely told him to go fuck himself. Sovereign retaliated by slaughtering and enslaving millions of kingdom Terrians, and refuses to stop until the pollution stops. Rather than addressing the pollution, the kingdom decided to wage war on Sovereign and the Aquarian Alliance.
Yerim-Mor vs. Cult of the Crescent: The Cult of the Crescent currently has Yerim-Mor's government bent over a barrel. The Morite people are not happy about this, to say the least, and demand that their government fight back. The Morite government is in no position to fight back and none of the other kingdoms have the balls to step in and help, so the poor Morites are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Zareen Empire's resource shortages: Zareen Empire has ravaged the land for thousands of years, greedily sucking up resources and leaving garbage in its place with no consideration for the future. Now there is too much garbage, the soil is unfit for farming, and crucial resources like iron, food, and oil are running out on the homefront. Now, Zareen Empire is left with two choices: they can change their hyper-consumerist, pollutive way of life, or they can start reaching into other lands for more resources. They have chosen the latter, meaning things are getting tense between them and other kingdoms. No one wants Zareen drilling, logging, and manufacturing on their land, because they've seen how everything this empire touches literally turns to garbage...so, Zareen might have to start some wars to get what they want, or else the Zareenite people might have to *gasp!* use paper bags instead of plastic! The Zareenites will not stand for such barbarism!
Matuzu-Etios war: This isn't so much a "war" as it is a "stalemate". Etios took over 1/3 of Matuzu's land and then allied with Folkvar, making them too powerful for Matuzu to mess with currently. The time for Matuzu to take back their land was ages ago, and they missed the window because they were too busy being dicks and harassing Yerim-Mor. Now it looks like they have permanently lost 1/3 of their territory to Etios, and they're stuck hemorrhaging resources defending the 2/3 they have left. This situation can only escalate as Matuzu keeps sticking its hands in everyone else's pies.
Rogue killer robots: A long time ago, Zareen Empire manufactured powerful robot soldiers to fight their wars. Long story short, this backfired horribly, and the robots were all recalled. However, many of the robots are still out there, wreaking havoc in various corners of Gaia, for their AI has gone rogue and all they care about is obtaining more petrol for their fuel tanks. They will destroy anything or kill anyone to keep themselves "alive". They are an especially bad problem in northern Wokina, where peoples depend on the scant supply of petrol to survive in the Bormek Ruins. These peoples must fight the rogue robots over petrol on the daily.
I know there are many more conflicts, but these are the ones I can think of at the moment!

Considering the racism between gold and silver dwarves, how’s this character concept sound? Dworf uncle ruckus. A fat, ugly, extremely racist silver dworf who’s convinced he’s a gold dworf, but has “revitigo” that makes him silver. He’s always spitting straight up S-teir professional racism towards silvers, hating them to his core. Despite himself being 102% silver (with a 2% margin of error).
I'm always a slut for Boondocks references lol
Truthfully, there are some delusional and self-loathing peoples like this in the Looming Gaia universe. They may not accept the species or race they are, might reject their nationality, or ethnicity, or some other quality about themselves.
Tojum is a character who hated herself for being a kobold. Kobolds are considered the lowliest creatures in Seelie society, so Tojum was taught early on that she was ugly and unworthy of good things. Eventually she escaped that culture and learned to have confidence in herself, but I think that rejection of her own species still lingers within her.
Mr. Ocean also struggles with this. He was mistreated and misunderstood by other cecaelia his whole life, and so he decided that they are all malicious creatures. He's probably the closest thing to an Uncle Ruckus in the series, because he rejects his own species, and on some level he really believes he transformed into a Terrian when he grew legs. He's a very passive and agreeable character in general, but around other cecaelia his whole demeanor changes. He suddenly gets kinda rude and shitty. It's a defense mechanism, I imagine.
Then there is Ginger and Itchy...They both distrust other satyrs, though Ginger isn't as open about this as Itchy is. Itchy will just blatantly say that satyrs are all lazy, thieving, hedonists. Ginger may not say it out loud, but her behavior towards her kind can say it all. Hell, they don't even trust eachother half the time.
Ginger knows it's ignorant and is at least trying to teach her children not to think this way. Itchy, meanwhile, regularly tells his kids not to trust other satyrs because they're "feral scum".
Evan is not ashamed of his species, but he is ashamed of his national heritage as an Evangelite. He goes as far as to reject it, saying he doesn't consider himself an Evangelite even though he was born in Evangeline Kingdom. Instead, he thinks of himself as a "man of Gaia".
Lukas rips on other Matuzans pretty hard, never missing a chance to mention how corrupt/horny/greedy/whatever they are. Then again, he rips on everyone for everything, so...
Those are just some examples I can think of at the moment, I'm sure there are probably more in the series somewhere.

(NSFW) Question: Cursed thought but which of the male FGG members are circumcised and which are not?
That's a really interesting question, because it made me think about the prevalence of circumcision on Looming Gaia in general. It's such a bizarre practice in real life, I just can't see it being as prevalent as it is in the real world. In the World of Looming Gaia, I imagine it's a more niche thing that only occurs in some regions, either for medical, practical, or cultural reasons.
In the real world, the practice of circumcision originates mostly from hot regions like Africa, South Asia, South America, and Polynesia. I assume there's some practical reason for that; maybe more sweating leads to more infections, and circumcision prevents more problems down in the road in these cases? I can't find much literature about this, it's just a guess on my part.
I imagine the quality of local medical care can also a big factor on whether people get circumcised or not. Their place in society, their wealth, and their relationship with their family are factors too.
So, with all that taken into account...
Lukas, Balthazaar, and Skel are most likely to be circumcised. All three of them hail from very hot, sweaty regions. They all had rich or middle class upbringings and access to quality medical care. In Lukas' case, it may be a matter of class, that noblemen are circumcised to separate them from the peasants--who don't always have access to such a thing. It's considered a mark of wealth and refinement.
In Balthazaar's case, it's probably a practical matter. The Rodangese are mostly blue collar folk who work outside in arid conditions all day long, and circumcising their boys might prevent skin infections down the road, so it's considered a worthwhile investment.
As for Skel, I imagine it was a practical matter as well. He was a slave boy and his masters believed it would prevent hygiene issues, and therefore less "maintenance" on their part. But also, they may have thought it would tame his sex drive later in life, because they realized he'd be alone with their daughters a lot.
Actually now that I think about it, Skel is probably more than circumcised...there's a pretty good chance he's a eunuch! Obviously the Barhatian royal family wasn't worried about him getting their elven daughters pregnant, but I imagine they'd take some kind of measure to discourage sexual activity between them. In this case, they would have neutered him shortly after puberty--either surgically or chemically, in addition to circumcision.
(Well the joke's on them, because it didn't discourage anything lol. Jasenia obviously had no issues with whatever he had going on down there.)
Javaan and Isaac are also from hot regions, but Javaan's mother had no means to have such a procedure done. As for Karenza...why would she spend so much time and energy lovingly crafting Isaac's body out of clay, only to destroy part of it later? The whole concept of circumcision would go against her values, I think.
Evan was born in such a fragile condition, his family never even considered it. Too risky in his case.
It's an alien concept in Glenvar's culture.
Mr. Ocean doesn't have anything to circumcise.
And Zeffer didn't have access to any legit doctors growing up, only back-alley butchers, so his mother never bothered.
I don't want this post to turn into a big debate about the ethics of circumcision because that's not really what it's about. I'm just explaining my reasoning to the best of my knowledge. Hopefully it makes at least some sense!
TL;DR: Lukas, Balthazaar, and Skel are cut kings. Skel is also a eunuch because it makes more sense and gives him more reason to be salty about the royal family's betrayal. I declare it canon!

If every FGG's dads fought who would win? (The moms probably shouldn't fight since Karenza exists)
This is a fun question to think about! First, let's see who we're working with here...(let's all assume they're in their prime)
Foster (Evan's dad): Big, tough, mountain of a man. Farmer by trade. Mean. Picks fights for fun. Gives no fucks.
Ekwame (Lukas' dad): Tall skinny guy. Skilled in archery but otherwise not very active. Lived an easy, privileged life and has never known struggle. Probably never threw a punch in his life.
Vingevar (Glenvar's dad): We don't know much about him except that he was big and tall like most Maskamar men. The Maskamar's culture is quite aggressive, so it's safe to assume he had some fighting experience like the rest of his people.
Sebastian (Alaine's dad): Wiry little dude. Was a drug-dealing thug in his youth but cleaned himself up later. Doesn't want any trouble, just trying to get by. Definitely had a lot of scraps in his day, but nothing serious.
Darshaan (Isaac's dad): Tall, well-muscled man. Raised by soldiers, highly skilled combatant, later became a mercenary. Peaceful until he's pissed off, then resorts to violence quickly.
Nemeto (Linde's dad): Tall, twiggy guy. Cowardly. Boat salesman by trade. Born into wealth. His only "active" hobby is probably golf or something.
Eindrid (Elska's dad): Huge guy with big muscles. Skilled in combat. Not the brightest, but he is quite kind and doesn't like to resort to violence unless he has no choice.
King of Tekee (Mr. Ocean's dad): Physically burly and magically powerful. Mostly chill, but has a dark side too. A bit arrogant, not very smart, and lacks awareness.
Adel (Zeffer's dad): Tall and lean. Barkeeper with a sketchy criminal history. Barkeeper by trade. Lots of experience wrangling unruly drunk people.
I think the King of Tekee would take an easy win here. Then again, he did get killed by a random spear-toss, so it's possible that one of the other dads could take him out by surprise.
Otherwise, I think Eindrid and Darshaan would give eachother a run for their money. Eindrid is a mighty centaur and Darshaan is just a spongy human, but I still think Darshaan could eke out a victory here, just because he has a lot more actual combat experience than Eindrid. Eindrid trained a lot, but didn't see any real major battles in his lifetime.
Behind them is Vingevar and Foster, who are almost evenly matched. Vingevar would be the better combatant and probably bigger physically, but I feel like Foster's sheer stubbornness and aggression would win him the fight. Vingevar is prone to running away from his problems, apparently, while Foster charges through them like a bull.
After them, it's Adel vs. Sebastian. They come from similarly rough backgrounds, except Sebastian took the high road and Adel stayed on the low road. Because of this, I think Adel would win. He fights dirty and he's genuinely vicious, while Sebastian's kind nature would cost him the fight.
Lastly, we've got Nemeto and Ekwame...Prepare to witness the saddest, sissiest little slapfight you've ever seen. Nemeto breaks his wrist punching Ekwame, and Ekwame cuts his hand on Nemeto's teeth. It's a tie because both of them tap out.

kid-az Sovereign try not to be cartoonishly evil for a minute challenge (Even Morgause has more restraint): #sovereign couldn’t be more on the nose evil if he tried #he might as well eat human newborns while he’s at it
Knowing how he feels about Terrians, dude probably would eat a human baby if it was sitting on a plate in front of him. :|
Okay, just kidding...even he wouldn't do that. He'd send the kid back to Terria and say "We'll meet again when you're old enough to fire a harpoon, you little shit..."
The creepiest thing about Sovereign is how many people don't consider him evil at all; in fact, they see him as a saint! To many Aquarians, he is a hero. He is the one person bravely standing up for their rights while the Terrian menace literally dumps shit on them.
On land, he is viewed as a menacing terrorist. But in the sea, he is known for his caring and generous heart. He is passionate about protecting Aquarian kind and goes out of his way to personally help individuals. Fame and glory is part of it, but he is genuinely passionate about his cause. He is not 100% heartless, he hates seeing his people in pain and wants to protect them from those that do them harm.
But as Mr. Ocean said, he has become blinded by this passion, and his love for Aquarians has become corrupted into hatred for Terrians. He does evil things for righteous reasons, because he is too consumed by hatred to get perspective on his actions. He has become so fearful of losing his culture and his people to Terrian bullshit, he's spiraled right into eugenics practices with his own children to ensure that they'll be strong enough to fight his battle after he's gone.
Now, as for the baby dolphins...there are so many peoples--in real life and on Looming Gaia--who torture animals for the sake of cuisine. Factory-farmed pigs, eating live octopi, boiling lobsters alive, the whole process of making veal...Sovereign is no exception. He is selfish and his eating habits are morally reprehensible, but this type of thing is sadly not unique to him.
We could just as easily call out Indiga, because everything on her plate was harvested and prepared by slaves. Or Qara, because her beloved fast food comes from factory-farms and woefully underpaid workers. Or even Oberon and his stupidly expensive truffles, which he scarfs down while so many of his people suffer hunger due to poverty.
Anyway this is just my long-winded way of saying Sovereign is a cruel bastard, but at least he has sorta legit reasons for being the way he is. There is no justifications for his atrocities, but there is at least a trail of logic you can follow to see how he got there.
Now Morgause, on the other hand...she would eat a human baby. Like, not even a second of hesitation, she's scarfing that thing simply because it's a fucked up thing to do and she knows it'll piss everyone off.
Sovereign antagonizes people to get eyes on his cause and hopefully end Aquarian suffering.
Morgause antagonizes people because Titania told her "no" once and she's BIG MAD about it.

If this doesn't end in 100% Itchy, those pollsters are lying. XD
niittinaatti
I'm gonna go with Morbus, putting your crush's wife in a coma and trying to persuade him into having her euthanized is pretty hard to forgive
kid-az
Boy do I regret not picking Morbus after remembering just what happened in Love Poison….. Skel is an ass but atleast he wouldn’t do THAT!
aveture
Ah I forgot about morbus and the love poison. Can I change my answer to that?
kid-az asked:
No joke I actually really loved Morbus as a character until Love Potion. After that all I want is for her cats to leave her and be adopted by better people and her being unable to find a cure for her outwards appearance being (Half) as nasty as she is on the inside.
-- -- --
These are all good points! I think in the name of fairness, we should have a break down of each candidate's most punch-worthy actions...
Itchy: "Allegedly" fucked a goat, burglarized homes, mugged people at knife-point, calls people slurs, assaulted an elderly person unprovoked, various peeping-tom behaviors, straight up murdered a dryad once, stole a horse from a soldier.
COUNTERPOINT: He has poor impulse control due to brain damage, some of these behaviors are not really his fault. Once he understands what he's done wrong, he usually feels bad and tries to make up for it. Usually. He's very capable of love and empathy for others, he just doesn't show it at the appropriate times.
Lukas: Murdered his own mother, is verbally and sometimes physically abusive to his crewmen, almost axe-murdered his best friend while drunk, victim-blamed a crewman who was sexually assaulted, tried to goad Zeffer into suicide and then hired an assassin to take him out when he refused.
COUNTERPOINT: Lukas acts the way he does due to immense trauma, and he's fully aware that his behavior is unacceptable. Recently in the series he has expressed remorse and taken steps to become a nicer, more empathetic person. He takes full responsibility for the pain he's caused others and doesn't make excuses for it. He is ashamed of his nasty behavior and is trying to understand why he acts the way he does, so that he doesn't keep repeating his mistakes.
Gwyneth: Cheats on, takes advantage of, and abuses her "husband" Brogan, extremely greedy and miserly, regularly insults people for no reason, flirts with married women and tries to break up marriages.
COUNTERPOINT: Gwyneth has endured the horrors of retail for decades. 'Nuff said. (Just kidding...In reality, she was kidnapped by slavers and quickly learned that the world is brutal and unforgiving, so she fears showing any sign of weakness or tenderness towards others. Bad experiences in her life have hardened her. She was probably aloof to begin with, but the experience of being kidnapped kind of "broke" her emotionally.)
Skel: Racist, misogynistic, classist, arguably transphobic, almost abandoned his crewman Jeimos in a hostile territory, verbally abusive to his crew and everyone around him, general asshole behavior.
COUNTERPOINT: Much of Skel's bigotry is hypocritical, and it's apparent by his contradictory thoughts and behaviors that he's quite mentally ill. His actions are much kinder than his words, and he performs these kind actions in secrecy, as if afraid to show any kind of "weakness" in front of others. Much of his hostile behavior is due to untreated mental problems.
Frederick: Literally stole candy from a baby, physically assaults people (including his own father) to get what he wants, acts arrogant and defiant, bullies others for fun.
COUNTERPOINT: Frederick is young and most of these behaviors are a result of bad parenting on his father's part. As he grew into his teens, Frederick started realizing this behavior wasn't getting him anywhere in life and promised to change. He has shown gradual positive changes ever since, though he does still slip back into his bullying ways from time to time.
Morbus: Neglected her son in favor of her career, abandoned her family, sold harmful drugs for decades, fetishizes and sexually harasses male satyrs, acts sexually aggressive towards Che, verbally abuses just about everyone, poisoned Philippa into a coma out of jealousy, forces her pets to live in her nasty hoard, generally snotty, selfish, and rude behavior.
COUNTERPOINT: I think it's obvious that Morbus is very, very mentally ill. This woman has been spiraling into Hell for over a century, completely untreated, and all the fumes from her alchemy career probably didn't help. I think some of her behavior is just due to her shitty upbringing, and she probably is a bit of a selfish bitch at her healthiest. But I also think her more extreme behaviors are the result of sickness and trauma that were left unchecked for way too long. To her credit--and this is a big deal imo--she does display some empathy and usually rights her wrongs eventually...granted, she'll reach the point of nearly killing someone before she does, but tends to shape up at the very last minute and save them from herself. She also apologizes for her actions once her conscience beats her over the head hard enough, showing that she's not a total psychopath. Morbus is undoubtedly a despicable individual, but it's hard to say how much of that behavior is really within her control. She gives the impression that she's been fighting a horde of personal demons all her life...and she's not winning.

AFAIK we never got to see the Steel knuckle squad as kids. What were they like when they were little?
That's true! Their origin stories all began a bit later in their lives, so we didn't get to look into their childhoods the way we did with most of the other FGG.
I do have an illustration of a young Javaan and his mother here, but no artwork of the other SKS guys as kids yet.
Linde was a typical snotty rich girl, with one key difference...she didn't have a lot of friends. She was actually quite lonely, since her parents sent her to private school and forbade her from going out very much. They were worried about her safety due to her albinism, as people in their region are very superstitious and have ignorant beliefs about albino people.
As a child, Linde spent too much time alone, consuming media that made her feel bad about herself. She was terribly self-critical and insecure from a young age. When I imagine Linde as a child, I see an agitated, demanding, and unpleasant little girl. Despite her family's wealth, I don't think she was very happy back then.
As for Balthazaar, he claims he had a normal, happy childhood. Though he lived in a crowded house and his family was far from rich, they all loved and supported eachother. I think Balthazaar's biggest problem in his youth was his impulsivity. He was bad-tempered and quick to throw punches, and ultimately this got him into huge trouble as an adult. I think Balthazaar's parents were stretched thin with their jobs and too many kids, so maybe Balthazaar didn't get as much attention as he needed. He meant well, but he was kind of a troublemaker.
Skel speaks fondly of his life with the Barhatian royal family. Though he was technically a slave, the family never treated him like one. Instead, the king and queen treated him like one of their own children. He lived a charmed life, or so he thought. Maybe he was a little spoiled, but overall he was a happy and carefree boy...very much a contrast to the bitter, neurotic man he grew up to be! In his youth he was known for being sweet, mischievious, and romantic. It's a shame that life beat these qualities out of him later on.
I don't think Javaan ever really got to be a kid. From the day he was born, he learned that the world was harsh and unfair, and there was no time for games. His mother taught him empathy. She told him that a loveless, degenerate existence is not worth surviving for; It's love that makes life worth living. Javaan really took that to heart, so even in his most desperate moments, he tried to show mercy and kindness to others. I imagine Javaan was a good-hearted boy who was forced to commit bad behaviors by his circumstances, but ultimately that's what motivated him to seek a better life as an adult.

kid-az Morgause truly does War Without Reason
Honestly I think the main reason is insecurity. She can't stand the fact that she has no soul, she hates being a monster, she hates the way peoples tower above her on the social hierarchy, she hates that Titania "betrayed" her...she's just so full of rage and she hates the world so much, she just wants to see it burn at this point. Creating chaos makes her feel powerful. She feels like she has something to prove.

How big is shadow like she can fit a whole gazebo on her back
(please forgive my crappy image)
Tumblr media
Shadow is still young and not quite full-grown, but she will grow bigger with time.
Her "gazebo" is actually more of a tent-like structure. One of these days I'm going to edit every instance of "gazebo" in the whole series and change it to "tent" or "yurt", because it seems to cause a lot of confusion. Poor word choice on my part!
Shadow doesn't carry the tent on her back, she actually carries it in her talons like this:
Tumblr media
(However, I have seen art of rocs carrying tents on their backs like the pic below:
Tumblr media
Rocs of Looming Gaia don't generally carry them this way though.)
Shadow has a few different tents which she uses to carry her crew. The largest one is big enough to hold about ten crewmen, including Elska and Javaan (it's a tight squeeze!). The smallest can hold just two human-sized people. The larger tents are more unwieldy and make her fly clumsily.
Some of the tents are made of light canvas and well-ventilated for hot climates, while others are made of heavy pelts and extra insulated for cold climates. In one story, the FGG put skis on a roc tent so they could drag it through the snowy tundra, showing that they're easily customizable.
All the tents are equipped with safety parachutes in case Shadow accidentally drops them (the FGG had to deploy these at least once in the series...). They also float in case they're dropped in water. However, these tents are built to be as lightweight as possible and that means they're not very sturdy. They tend to break apart easily.

razzek All of them but Mosswen had reasons for what they were doing and in some of those examples of being bad, they were doing what they thought was right. But Mosswen was so shit her own son murdered her and I think that says a lot.
--
kid-az Undeniably Moswen given she was in complete complete control of her actions and crimes, (Also the fact it drove one of her sons to kill her) but Oggsa takes 2nd place due to the sheer scope of her actions affecting not just her kids but people outside of her village. Moswen was godawful but she atleast put out a charitable front. Moswen is the worst parent and Oggsa is the worst person.
--
Imagine being such a shitastic mother that your son chooses literal slavery over living with you. Then when he returns like 20 years later, it's only to put your ass in the ground lmao. #LukasDidNothingWrong
