I was listening to songs by my favorite cute Korean boys (Ateez) and I found literally a song that could DESCRIBE SHINRARTHUR's ENTIRE RELATIONSHIP if Desire didn't exist.

Pelican Fanclub, we still need to talk about Desire, but for now, let's talk about All About You from Ateez and the phrase that built a ShinrArthur village in my brain:

Nobody knows, nobody loves you like I do.

Just imagine Arthur spending years, years mentally jotting down the most diverse topics about Shinra, and realizing things most of his friends wouldn't even imagine!

Or how Shinra is a person who loves to wear light colors, pastel blue, pastel pink, white and light grey, even though they have created a legend around him that he has tattoos and only wears black! Arthur doesn't remember seeing Shinra in any black clothing other than a uniform!! About how Shinra is a quiet person, who doesn't like parties or alcohol for any specific reason other than he prefers quiet places and alcohol makes him sick! And while Shinra is a soft boy, he enjoys listening to music from heavy metal to sad jrock of questionable quality! And a lot more details about Shinra that only make sense to Arthur, because Arthur is completely in love with him!!!

I particularly like to think of a scenario where Arthur spent years questioning what he really feels about Shinra, and how he sees him. To what extent is the way he sees Shinra fair, and how he might have hurt Shinra. I've said this before in comments on a post (the post about ShinrArthur playlist) And so, I like to imagine Arthur becoming more and more in love with Shinra, as he starts to see Shinra's facets and about how awesome Shinra is!

Like, for example, something I already talked about on Tumblr, about how Arthur sees Shinra's hero ideals! He sees Shinra, and he doesn't see someone wanting to save people, because it brings him personal satisfaction, or it's some kind of vocation or a way to "forgive" his own sins. He sees Shinra wanting to give others the comfort he didn't have.

Shinra Kusakabe wasn't comforted when he lost his family, Shinra Kusakabe wasn't saved when he was just a 5 year old being exposed for something he didn't do. Shinra wants to comfort people so they don't feel the fear and despair he felt, and Arthur was completely enamored of it. And let me tell you more, Arthur also started to fall in love with the little things about Shinra, like how different Shinra's genuine smile is from the nervous smile, how Shinra likes things neat and clean, and how he likes to take care of the ones he loves! !

And Arthur finds himself in a hurricane that he is completely surrendered by Shinra Kusakabe, but doesn't have the courage to say it out loud! and he feels like all his thoughts are about Shinra Kusakabe and how he loves him! it's the Everting is About You in the song. Maybe I'm writing this post while listening to this song after an exhausting day and I haven't been able to organize my thoughts properly?

- While Shinra's not against the whole 'reserved' thing, obviously because he managed to get the crush in the first place, but he's definitely going to be incredibly awkward when engaging.

- At the beginning, very much gets caught up on the approach and delivery of his greetings and conversations, making them VERY unnatural.

- Never quite knows what to say or how to say it. Tries his best to gauge (Name')s reaction to curtail it to her more but girls are so complicated-

- Little does he know, every single interaction dorky or not wears on (Name)'s cold exterior and soon enough she's seeking him out of her own volition.

- On missions they happen on together, in her free time, every moment they're in the same room she starts to gravitate towards the boy, which only goes unnoticed for a few weeks or so

- Shinra starts to speak a little more naturally around her and bit by bit, he comes to grips with having full conversations with her despite only getting 3 word responses most time

- One day, he's rambling on about how cool it would be if he could suddenly be the 'Hero everyone needs' and (Name) is so touched by the notion, she let's her head fall onto his shoulder suddenly with a silent smile.

- He's sort of a stuttering mess but she's not complaining.

- Blurts out his feelings right then and there - feelings he definitely wasn't expecting her to reciprocate - she does tho.

Arthur Boyle

- Arthur certainly doesn't mind spending his days with someone who's mostly quiet - infact, he'd very much prefer to spend his time with someone like that, a fair maiden who is much more introspective than extroverted.

- A lot of time is spent daydreaming by the both of them and any passerby is left to wonder if they're in need of assistance- they're perfectly okay, just kind of existing in the same space together while also in their own little worlds. It's quite nice, not feeling obligated to keep a conversation going.

- When they do speak, it's also pretty pleasant. It's usually about the most random things; thoughts that come across either's minds, food and what they're in the mood for at the time, if the other feels like sparring - all usually short lived.

- He's the type to randomly hand out compliments, especially when he notices something is different about (Name) i.e. hair, nails, etc. If you think he's not paying attention to her, think again; he silently takes notice of details he'd otherwise not care about in regards to anyone else. 

- Compliments are always earnest and given with a smile (part of him just likes to fluster her), making him that much more attractive honestly.

- It is pointed out by several people in his company about the exorbitant amount of time spent on seeking out (Name)'s presence and just...silently basking in it.

- "It's weird, dude. You guys don't even talk half the time." - Shinra

- His immediate response is a shrug, followed by "I just really enjoy her company." And he really, really does.

- 'Really enjoy' eventually graduates to 'Love' when he starts to really get to know her - her humor, her strengths, her faults - and somehow he finds every little new thing he learns captivating 

- For the most part, has 0 problems confessing when he's ready, even with a rapidly increasing heart rate. (Name) can't help but chuckle a bit at "My fair Lady" part tho, blush and all.

since you were close to them, you talked frequently about your relationship with arthur, to which they told you to bring him to the shop sometime

though, they didn't know the time would be now

when you and some customer was going for the last hair gel, HE DREW HIS DAMN SWORD saying "let it go, peseant"

overall, 10/10 experience with him at the hair store

at first, he didn't want to go because he's lazy, but since you bribed him with sukiyaki, he took the offer and went with you

so many people didn't know if they wanted to be you, or be him

will probably complain that you're there for a while

i know this nigga got some nice ass curls before he got that damn silk press

so you got some hair products for him as well because you wanted to see what his hair looked like

he was against it at first, but gave in to your persuasive nature

safe to say, them curls were GLORIOUS

he interested in how you do your hair and wants to learn how to do it and which hair to use

he will accompany you because he just loves being there with you in public

he's fascinated by the way you instantly know which hair to get for each hair style

"get red so we can match" is a common phrase FOR EVERY HAIR STYLE

will tell you to get a certain hairstyle because he knows you will look great in it

tell you to get a product because it smells nice

the man loves animals, so he got beef with gorilla snot

OGUN MONTGOMERY

he went because it's like a chore going with you

he constantly complains about not having enough products for his hair, especially conditioner

so when he goes with you, he instantly goes into the section with durags and conditioner

he will also get some little gold accessories to put in his hair and will get you some for your hair

he wants to get matching bonnets and durags with you because he thinks that yall will be like them black couples on pinterest

will offer to pay for everything (to which you object to sometimes but he still pays for it)

HE KNOWS HOW TO DO YOUR HAIR

will pick out the color of the braiding hair because he knows which ones will suit you better
