Published by Artenne Books, Loops focuses on the simple sights we consume day-to-day but don’t always pay attention to. “The fashion images I take are different because they are assignments,” Edström explains. “The pictures in Loops are taken for no real reason.” Instead of capturing the extravagance of couture, he hones in on life’s simplicities to capture moments when the light and the moment synthesise: melting ice, autumn turning to winter, puddles drying.

Unter dem Titel „Nicht von gestern!“ präsentierten am 8.6.2018 KulturKontakt Austria und das Haus der Geschichte Österreich gemeinsam mit Schülerinnen und Schülern im Bildungsministerium Projekte zu demokratiepolitisch interessanten Ereignissen. 2018 findet das Gedenk- und Jubiläumsjahr „100 Jahre Republik Österreich“ statt. In diesem Kontext hat KKA einen Schwerpunkt zur Geschichtsvermittlung im kulturellen Bereich gesetzt. 2018 wird auch das hdgö eröffnet. In Kooperation zwischen hdgö und KKA wurden fünf Projekte zu demokratiepolitisch interessanten Ereignissen oder Entwicklungen zwischen Schulen und regionalen Museen bzw. Kultureinrichtungen realisiert. Fragen rund um Zivilcourage, Radikalismus, Migration oder die Suche nach verborgenen Geschichten: Die Schülerinnen und Schüler setzten sich im Rahmen von Workshops mit historischen Ereignissen der letzten 100 Jahre und deren Bedeutung in der Gegenwart auseinander – und verarbeiteten diese in eindrucksvollen Videoproduktionen bzw. einer Augmented-Reality-Installation. Cave Canem. Feuerhunde zum Schutz für Haus und Hof 2022  Hermetische Gefässe aus Erde, gebrannt und geflammt

Das hermetische Gefäss verweigert sich seiner Funktion, es ist verschlossen. In der Alchemie gilt es als das Behältnis der Gegensätze, es empfängt und nährt die Materie, die verwandelt wird.

Form, Material und Machart der Feuerhunde ist angelehnt an prähistorische Tonhornobjekte, die in weiten Teilen Europas in der Bronzezeit gefunden wurden. Anhand der Inschrift – Warnung vor dem Hund – wird Expressis Verbis der wohl älteste Freund des Menschen zum Schutz für Haus und Hof angerufen. Der Hund hat in zahllosen Mythologien einen zentralen Platz als Zwischenwesen, Psychopomp, als Führer zwischen dem Leben und dem Tod, Bekanntem und Unbekanntem, Menschlichem und Tierischen, Bewusstem und Unbewusstem. Apotropäische, unheilabwehrende Objekte können Trost und Sinn stiften und zu einem besseren Leben beitragen.

Monday, December 2 at 17:30 at Palazzo Lascaris, seat of the Regional Council of Piedmont (via Alfieri 15 in Turin), opens the exhibition of irregular art PERSONS. On the occasion of the International Day of People with Disabilities, the Regional Council of Piedmont promotes the project to enhance the heritage of "Irregular Art Never Seen and Other Stories": 50 graphic and pictorial works by 11 authors, focused on the human figure, from the Archives of the City of Turin and from the ateliers of day care centers and Piedmontese communities for people with disabilities. The fil rouge of the exhibition is the human figure. Works from the Archivio Mai Visti of the City of Torino and from the ateliers of the day centres and communities connected to the project Mai Visti e Altre Storie: www.maivisti.it. The exhibition PERSONE is a project curated by the Associations Artenne, Arteco and Forme in Bilico in collaboration with the City of Torino and Opera Barolo, in partnership with CPD - Consulta per le Persone con Difficoltà. Lunedì 2 dicembre alle ore 17.30 a Palazzo Lascaris, sede del Consiglio regionale del Piemonte (via Alfieri 15 a Torino), si inaugura la mostra d’arte irregolare PERSONE. In occasione della Giornata Internazionale delle Persone con Disabilità, il Consiglio regionale del Piemonte promuove così il progetto di valorizzazione dei patrimoni di “Arte Irregolare Mai Visti e Altre Storie”: 50 opere grafiche e pittoriche realizzate da 11 autori, incentrate sulla figura umana,provenienti dall’Archivio della Città di Torino e dagli atelier dei centri diurni e delle comunità piemontesi per persone con disabilità. Il fil rouge della mostra è la figura umana. “Our Stories, Human Stories” a cura di Wajukuu Art Project in collaborazione con Opere Scelte, Artenne, Forme in bilico e MO.C.I.ONG a InGenio Arte Contemporanea, Torino. . . Cosa sappiamo noi dell’Africa? Veramente poco. Ecco perché c’è tanto interesse nei musei più importanti del mondo, nei musei e alla Biennale di Venezia. Eppure gli artisti dell’Africa fanno fatica a raggiungerci. Con la loro voglia di raccontare la loro cultura, che è solare, è famiglia, è natura.
