New drawing of Arì'lauane! Sketch portrait of my moon elf knowledge domain cleric n their younger days before they had a mantle of tattoos from their neck to their torso. I'm back guest playing the younger version of them in their adventuring days in the Avandris campaign, so I really wanted to draw them again as I keep growing more and more attached to them.
The black and blue moon phase necklace is a magic item in which each of the black pearl moons holds a different spell. The long chain going off frame is for their fancy new holy symbol which is also a magic item that increases their spell attack roll and spell save DC by +3. 🌝 In the Crescent campaign, they're a high level background NPC who as Tdi'or's mentor and the high priest of Isilardholen's main temple, the Nethrisil Aunvalê. My moon elf knowledge domain cleric, Arì'luanae, in a moth costume. This was my P@+tr30n-exclusive seasonal print for December 2021! Also this was inspired by actual campaign events that took place in the Winter Court of the Feywild.
On one trip, Arì assisted the archfey known as The Wolf Lord in recovering an artifact called a North Star, of which there were multiple, to help protect The Wolf Lord's domain from a malevolent new archfey who is trying to become a god, as The Wolf Lord's own North Star was waning in power. They gifted Arì the old North Star, which still had plenty of power to protect Arì's city on the material plane, as a gift.
On a later adventure, The Winter Queen tricked one party member, Baka, with an illusion into seeing Arì, as well as the rest of the party, as enemy Lunarian (moth-person) soldiers, causing him to fight the party. And thus this illustration was born.

Some concept sketches I drew in my sketchbook several months, and finally got around to slapping some color on in photoshop!
Here are are some rough concept sketches for Arì'luanae Amastacia, one of my OCs and DnD characters! On the left, some enchanted armor, on the right, a more casual-priesty-moon elf look.
In my main campaign, they’re an NPC -a level 20 knowledge domain cleric, and the Reverent Dreamer (High Priest) of Sehanine Moonbow. They have the sage-astronomer background, and had intended to study the arcane arts to become a wizard, before being blessed with clerical powers by the Moon Goddess. In addition to being the Reverent Dreamer, they’re also a mentor (they taught Tdi’or much of what they know and still guide them to this day,) and they also help uphold the illusory magic that keeps the city of Isilardholen hidden from those who would wish to exploit its lands and how thin the veil to the Feywild is there.
In my secondary campaign, I play a younger past version of them as an occasional guest character, before they become a high priest and a mentor, in the thick of their adventuring days. Arì'luanae has been missing for a while now though, and their last messages to the group wasn’t necessarily optimistic.

Yet another DnD character sketch, yet another Moon Elf~ This one is an NPC from Tdi’or’s backstory -Reverent Dreamer Arì'luanae Amastacia, the high priest of Sehanine Moonbow at the Nethrisil Aunvalê temple. The Nethrisil Aunvalê (heart of the Moon Goddess) is the main/core temple in Tdi’or’s home city of Isilardholen (the hidden realm of the moon.)
Arì'luanae started off as an astronomer, and studying to become a wizard. However, one night they had a vision of a blessing from the Moon Goddess; she was very pleased with their pursuit of knowledge, and had a greater plan for them. They awoke finding they were now able to do magic -as they’d been bestowed with the powers of a knowledge domain cleric.
Arì'luanae then spent many years become a priest and living the life of an adventuring cleric, before being called back home by the Moon Goddess to ascend to high priest, and mostly remain at Isilardholen to serve as high priest, mentor future adventurers, and become an integral figure in upholding the illusory magic that keeps the city hidden deep within the forests of Faerûn, to protect and watch over the door to the Feywild that exists on their land.
I have to do a drawing to work out the exact details of the tattoo and the circlet lol. The tattoo is not actually ink, but rather very finely ground diamond powder that bears a permanent enchantment.
