From October 26th to 29th, 2023, Shenzhen HG Lighting participated in the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo 2023 by the HKTDC at the Hong Kong AsiaWorld-Expo. As an early entrant in the outdoor and public lighting sector within the LED industry, HG Lighting showcased a range of classic products, including UFO highbay light, linear high-bay light, shoebox LED area Light, and their latest LED luminous characters.

At the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo 2023, HG Lighting attracted significant interest from numerous customers. One of the new products, LED luminous characters, garnered particular attention and got on-site procurement orders, signaling market approval.

As for the longstanding product, the UFO high bay light, it received considerable favor from customers at the booth. Render Update

I tried to render the first 10 frames of the john turntable with smoke to see how it would look and also get an idea of how long it would take and found that I may need to rethink. It took around 5-10 minutes to render 1 frame, and since I want to get 2 versions of both characters done I think it best if I turn my attention to getting a finished version of just the model as this shows what I worked on more. 

Because of this I choose a really good frame with the hazy smoke and a good pose to render as an example of my character with fx. This is the render above. 

I really want to manage my time right so I think taking this route will be a better idea in the long run. 

Talking about the lighting, I used Gary’s video on rendering a turntable which had a really good lighting set up available. It uses 3 arealights and a sky dome, with different warmths. I think cause I am doing characters in black and white having some lighting variation will help not make the renders look flat. I also uses a shadow matte plane that was suggested and this helps with the shadows.

#SiteLighting or #Arealighting can really be a daunting job, specially when the plan/site is actually HUGE. I have struggled with many sites (specially when it comes to #DIALux4, its horrible). The one trick that I have developed from those mind numbing experiences is to start from light. Because truly thats exactly what the client is here for, lighting design. So I start by inserting and arranging the luminaries. Then I add in the calculation surfaces (because we need reports). Then add the buildings, ground elements, decorative aspects, textures and the list goes on. Following this simple formula has saved me hundreds if not thousands of projects from crashing and truly made my life soo much more easier.
