all three of them love eachother in their own way btw.
patrick is in love with art in a friends -> lovers type of way, whether or not it's romantic (it is) doesn't really matter to him, that's his boy. and he's in love with tashi because she's mean to him and because she likes art and who the fuck wouldn't be in love with tashi let's be honest.
art is in love with tashi romantically even though she doesn't necessarily reciprocate those feelings and he knows he loves patrick but he hasn't quite figured out in what way yet.
tashi loves art and patrick because they love her and she likes the attention and devotion they're willing to give her and she especially loves the way she gets to play with them like dolls and see them make fools of themselves trying to get her attention. and of course. she loves that they're good at tennis.

gojo being the first year teacher actually makes complete sense and ik it sometimes seems like he’s incompetent with his teaching, but the comedic charm it brings again is PERFECT for first years.
we’re talking abt 15-16 y/os, most of whom only JUST arrived in the jujutsu world overall and its their first time being around those who are the same as them. they’ve got trauma and their own issues. they’re being thrown into a society that adultifies them VERY quickly and death from missions is not a rare possibility, but almost imminent. their youth is stripper away as soon as they enter the school.
gojo obviously knows that because he’s BEEN there (not just with hidden inventory, but in general) and he doesn’t want his own students to end up like him and his generation. he wants a NEW generation of sorcerers and to do that, he has to make strong allies (in these kids)
but at the same time, and he tells us this straight up in jjk 0, he very much believes that youth is a precious commodity and not something that should be instantly taken away from these kids. yes, they’re jujutsu sorcerers and YES this work is dangerous, but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to live as TEENAGERS.
gojo is just overall a silly guy and oftentimes that silliness annoys his students, but they NEED that. they need that distraction of their sensei being an insufferable idiot who’s also tryna better their skills and potential. the jokes, the souvenirs, the lack of seriousness at times, the dramatics. EVERYTHING. these kids need that DESPERATELY.
like i love kusakabe, but i think it would’ve been a bad idea to make him the first jujutsu teacher these kids ever end up having ☠️ he CAN be silly and funny at times, but usually he’s no nonsense and it makes much more sense for him to be the second year teacher. it’s a nice transition from gojo to him.
ANYWAYS tldr gojo-sensei u will always be real to me and its so obvious u love ur students 😖
