ive been insulated in my weird little friend bubble of people who are all interested in religious studies/late antiquity and are all trans/nb or at least gay/bi women and its gonna fucking suck to go into the real world and realize that academia hates me

#gloomth and circumstance #anyways I think im gonnna actually start using pronouns other than she/her irl #bc I dont want to compromise my life in order to avoid social discomfort #when im in a position where im unlikely to be the object of violence for it #and being vocally and publically nb in this field could help other ppl #but also fuck ive spent so much time trying to be the least difficult trans person possible #cause if u never ask ppl to use certain pronouns/language for u #then ur never in a position where they can deliberately hurt you with that #and im at the end of the day not that brave #:/
