Summary: Cesaro doesn't like that you're being put in a tag team with Dean Ambrose.
The backstage buzz of the WWE arena was palpable, the air charged with the energy of upcoming matches and the hum of conversations. You, a rising star in the women's division, found yourself in a peculiar situation — a tag team match with none other than Dean Ambrose. While on paper, it was an exciting pairing, Cesaro, your possessive boyfriend, viewed it with a mix of skepticism and jealousy.
Cesaro had a reputation for being fiercely protective. His love for you was evident in every glance, every touch, but when it came to Dean Ambrose, he had reservations. Stories of Dean's unpredictable behavior and his reputed flings with fellow wrestlers fueled Cesaro's distrust.

"What's with him?" Cesaro muttered, eyes narrowing at Dean's retreating figure.

Cesaro's grip tightened, a blend of frustration and concern etched on his face. "I don't like it, Y/N. You deserve better than teaming up with someone like him."
As the referee counted the pin, marking your victory, you turned to Cesaro, seeing the storm in his eyes. With a gentle touch, you reassured him, "I'm yours, Cesaro, no one else. But Dean's just a colleague. Trust me."
The possessive tension in Cesaro's shoulders eased slightly, and he nodded, a silent acknowledgment that you, in that moment, were his focus. As the crowd cheered your victory, you couldn't help but wonder how the dynamics backstage might shift after this match — a complex dance of alliances, trust, and the unspoken rules of love in the world of wrestling.

Cesaro and I were different kind of people, I loved posting pics of my everyday life and interactions with fans, while he loved his loyal fans, he didn’t expose his private life to the general public, a glimpse here and there of his house would be shown but he filmed for UUDD I would either be at my own place or in another room at his place away from the camera.
He was a very professional man, I knew that from the beginning and I love him for it, the problem was… it wasn’t just about keeping our relationship secret from the fans, maybe it’s because he is from an older generation of wrestlers and had more years in WWE before I got there or who knows why, but nobody in the company knew about us, we didn’t talk with Vince about it, sometimes couples talk to him so they would be allowed to work on the same brand, but since we weren’t out yet we were separated for most of the week.
To some degree I got the whole keeping it secret but after a while it started hurting my feelings, having to pretend I was single sucked, I couldn’t say out loud that I loved him.
I was tired of everything, I wanted to stop feeling like this, something needed to change.
Having a day to ourselves was good but it was a torment knowing I had to go back to pretending we were just co-workers.
“What are you thinking?”
Cesaro asks me, I don’t bother looking up at his face, my eyes kept watching one point in the distance.
“You don’t want to know”
“Why?”
He asked confused, I bit my lower lip nervously, fighting my own instincts trying not to make a scene but I felt it coming, the truth was burning in my throat asking to be freed, I turned my face towards him, there was fear in his eyes.
“It’s been a long time since we started dating and I hate lying to everyone about this part of my life, I can’t even take you to my parents, I can’t take your hand at work, I can’t do this anymore… it’s eating me up inside”
I took a minute, wiping away my tears furiously.
“We should break up”
I started taking my things, not even watching his face, I couldn’t.
“Baby, please don’t go”
His voice was almost a whisper, my heart was breaking into a million pieces, Cesaro hugged my back, his hands holding my waist, I tried to fight back but he was too strong, I couldn’t hold back the tears anymore, he turned me around pressing my head to his chest, my face was now soaking his shirt while he caressed my back.
“I’m sorry baby, I’m so so sorry”
I could hear in his voice that he was devastated, but so was I, something needed to change.
“I’m sorry, I got caught up in the old school mentality there, I should have never have asked you to keep our relationship as a secret”
It took me a while to stop crying but Cesaro stayed there holding me, when I finally stopped we sat down on the couch.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
“Go ahead”
Cesaro held my hand.
“I love you, I know I’ve been a fool but I don’t want to lose you, that’s the least I wanted to do, I know this may be hard to believe but I see us married someday, I don’t want a future without you”
“I love you too, it’s going to take a while for me to trust you again”
He kissed my hand.
“I’ll keep apologizing and showing you how much I love you, now what can I do to start to make this right?”
“You could start by telling your family, I’m going to tell mine too, and you have to tell at least 2 people at work”
“Sounds good to me”
“And I want us to arrive together at the arena, deal?”
“Deal”
The next day was a pay-per-view, I was more nervous about waking in with Cesaro than my actual work, I felt the looks of surprise of the people backstage, we walked in close proximity of each other but soon he took my hand in his, I was surprised but his gesture, he smiled at me and we kept walking, we left our stuff in our respective look rooms and then he asked me to go with him.
We walked to the curtain were Seth and Vince were talking, I suddenly felt conscious but it was too late, Claudio just casually chimed in their conversation.
“Hi, just wanted to say we are dating”
There was a 2 seconds pause of silence, Vince and Seth exchanged a look of disbelief and then finally answered to the blunt statement my boyfriend just made.
“Congratulations”
“Finally, I’m so happy for you both”
Seth said.
“Thanks”
We said and quickly walked away.
“Did you really had to tell Vince first?”
“I told Seth”
“Yes, but he was with Vince”
“You said two people”
“Fine, at least I can do this now”
I hugged his waist, he smiled at me, I was feeling much better now, I could finally say out loud that I love Cesaro.

Eleven months, twenty-eight days, a special welcome from the NXT roster with doors wide open to Sami felt nostalgic, devoid of acknowledgment of how the future held within the vision. Those expectations lurked endless, different paths until the bright lights held if the choices were correct.
The month of May, the twenty-second in 2013, debuted on live television. At first, fans gave suspicious glances and arched brows after he stepped into the business, unsure who the man was in the opening match— when he gained a victory against his first opponent. More came about as Sami returned, receiving an impressive promo, speaking in different languages at his second opponent, who finished his match before losing against him later on. Surprise rippled the crowd's expression, opinions changed, and he became their fan favorite.
Such fire of passion outgrew the nerves in his chest. No wonder the fans cherish it.
The first person to give compliments backstage is Cesaro, shortened for Antonio Cesaro. Butterflies ached his stomach, stirring up if the decision of the match was decent or not. Cesaro understood the fear and didn't mind eating the pin for the crowd to appreciate him, filled with gratitude. Nevertheless, Sami will not forget some wrestlers can be cocky and arrogant, taunting their performances and pressuring their self-confidence, leading those to doubt their self-esteem and backstage heat. As for him, he clicked with Cesaro in an instant, becoming friends.
His achievements in 2013 were worth the shot: wins, losses, cheated out, hell, being banned by the former NXT Champion, unable to become the number one contender for the championship. If you ask if he did get banned, Sami will answer yes, crystal clear. He'd even used a mask to earn the chance.
The next time the champion tried to ban him from completing the title shot, Sami could wear it again for emergencies.
Over time, the crowd would get bored of this tactic, bringing up the similarities between the mask change and "Twin Magic" he heard of. Never mind, the strategy is off his list.
Now in backstage's gorilla position, hazel eyes full of enthusiasm and wonder, observing two or three matches on the television monitor— while creating hand gestures of the moves and signatures. Mouthing words is like taking notes in a notebook of his wrestling experience. Sami is lost in thought, no one notices.
He never paid attention to a firm pat on the shoulder, so absorbed in the television.
"Quite in a daze, are you?"
Recognizing the serene voice too well, uttering a high-pitched yelp from Sami and jolts off the chair, turning his attention to the boss who created NXT, Hunter Helmsley. He had no idea how silent Hunter roamed across the hallway, joining conversations with other coworkers and crew members. How did no one see it?
Sami stood his posture and flashed a gentle smile on his face. "Sorry, sir, I was just… amazed by the recent matches you've had paired."
He forgot to keep his energy under control, leading to an ongoing blabber of analysis.
"The way Charlotte and Sasha had this… this good chemistry whenever being placed in a tag team match. Pretty insane, am I right? They did a great job! Oh, and let's not forget about Tyson and Mason—"
"Whoa, whoa, deep breaths!" Hunter cracked up a laugh. "I don't want to send you out there with no oxygen left."
Sami stopped, mumbling an apology, took a couple of breaths, and nodded as he prepared to listen.
"Now listen carefully. Corey and The Ascension are paired for the Six-Man Tag Team Match tonight. Some were a handful— and couldn't come here while, well, you get the point of how they are. Until I finally got one," Hunter grumbled some cursing under his breath so Sami couldn't hear, then cleared his throat. "They're currently in the main roster and are in the RAW brand. A month ago, they became the Tag Team Champions and still are."
Sami blinked with a skeptical stare. "Is it the… the, um, the New Age Outlaws or something…?"
"Lost the titles at RAW. Held them for about thirty-six days," Hunter reminded him. "Surprising, I know."
I am not surprised.
During breaks, he watched a few tag team matches on his phone. Some were paired and ended up being over by the fans; however, there can be a higher percentage of choices when the wrestlers are partnered in a random hand with no reason, leading to confusion and no chemistry.
"Let's get back to the topic," Hunter continued. "The Tag Team Champions will be here soon. Hopefully, Breeze and Angelo can hold onto their match to give them extra time."
Oh, the word he despised the most gave the icky feeling: hopefully.
Are the champions good to work with? Will they get along with him, no matter if he's a great person with respect once they arrive? Will they ever visit on time?
"Who are the Tag Team Champions?" Sami questioned in a nervous tone, with determination filled in his eyes.
There can be no regret in asking the boss.
Sami noticed the corner of Hunter's mouth curled into a smile. Some joy danced, no mischief in the slightest.
Biting his bottom lip, when Hunter told him who are the current Tag Team Champions, his eyes blazed in shock.
"The Usos, Jimmy and Jey."

Honestly now that I'm looking more and more at a lot the the names that got cut down to their last name (or I guess first name in Elias's case) like Claudio's WWE one when they moved up from NXT, almost all of them are kinda better/cooler as full names. Adrian Neville, Alexander Rusev, Elias Samson, Tommaso Ciampa (though they have fixed his at least), etc...
Dear lord what was McMahon's off-and-on obsession with making everyone's names one name like Madonna and making them worse for it?
I just found out that Ciampa is no longer Tommaso Ciampa.
Listen, I don’t believe a word he says, but I remember reading years ago Dave Meltzer explaining why Rusev and Cesaro lost their names and I found out the article:
“There was a meeting and at the meeting, Vince goes ‘we gotta drop that first name.If we call him Alexander Rusev, people are gonna start gonna calling him Alex and Alex is not a good name for a heel.’ That’s the real reason so that’s why they dropped the first name. The same thing happened with Cesaro. The reason why they dropped [the name] Antonio Cesaro was because Vince said people are going to start calling him Tony and Tony is not a heel name so we gotta drop the first name.”

Some of my favorite NXT GM William Moments
And no, I will never shut up about him.
As the longest-running and last NXT GM, William has had some memorable and fun moments. Here are Eight of my favorites in no particular order! ( I lied Eight is probably my favorite)
His "fued" with Johnny Gargano (I could do an entire post about Johnny and Will on their own the dynamic between them AHHHHHHH)
Come his heel turn and descent into an affably obnoxious heel following One Final Beat, Will's surrogate son (just trust me on this) would often find each other in comedic arguments backstage, and during segments. Some favorites of mine: Johnny begging Will to cancel Dexter and Indi's wedding, Johnny breaking Will's pencil, and Johhny trying to pull one over on him with his "broken" arm (Spoiler: It didn't work).
2. His return to TV after surgery on January 13th, 2016
I don't have a clip for this to link, but the "welcome back" chants he received from the Full Sail crowd make my heart soar every time I hear them <3
3. I'm probably reading too much into this, but William telling the guys the guys in the ambulance to take care of Mia Yim after she was attacked backstage before WarGames. You see, one of the few decisions I have ever disagreed with was him on was yelling at Mia Yim for attacking Jessymn and Maria backstage. In her defense, they were RARELY ever banned from ringside backstage and kept interfering during matches. I just feel like this is his way of apologizing for that.
4. William vs Kassius Ohno aka Chris Hero
Before his official retirement Will still had a few more matches, and this was one! And it's a daaaaaamn good one too.
5. Him giving one of the best promos of his career before his match against Antonio Cesaro.

6. Every single segment he did for the " Who attacked Aleister Black?" Storyline.
Hi Aleister! You look kind of angry, boo.
In short: he slayed the role of detective while also still keeping order and making stellar matches.
7. The End of Bayley and Sasha's Iron Women Match.
Trust me, there wasn't a dry eye in the house after this. (Shut up I'm not crying you are!!)
8. And finally... William consoling Johnny Gargano after his loss against Andrade "Cein" Almas at Takeover.
In short: WAHHHHHHHHHHHH

Universal Cross Wrestling (Year 1, Month 2)

UCW's first official pay-per-view goes live in a sold out arena hailing within Philadelphia, and begins with the first round in the UCW Tag Team Championship tournament; pitting Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory of The Way up against Wes Lee and Nash Carter of MSK. All four competitors showcase their fast paced and strike centric style of wrestling which sets them at a stalemate until the closing moments--seeing Gargano and Theory defeat the young stars in convincing fashion.
Next up, Pete Dunne and Antonio Cesaro threaten to tear the house down with a long and intense submission match that pushes both men as far as they can take themselves until one of them is champion. Though Cesaro has a higher level of prowess in the vein of strikes and longevity, Dunne is able to both outpower and outlast his opponent until he puts him to sleep with a dragon sleeper; crowning himself as UCW's first ever Submission Champion.
Karrion Kross makes his presence known leading into the third match of the night, calling out anybody and everybody currently in the locker room to come face him for his Openweight Championship. The person who answers his challenge? Raubahn; conqueror of the beast and leader of the Immortal Flames. Both Raubahn and Kross truck through each other with neither of them showing any signs of stopping, putting everything they have into their fists and heads while trading brutal blows from beginning to end.
Eventually, Kross is able to tire out Raubahn and uses his overwhelming strength to beat the man down to a definitive pinfall--retaining the Openweight Championship at his first pay-per-view showing. After the bout however, Brock Lesnar emerges with fire in his eyes and brutally attacks Raubahn after the match; putting him through not one, but two announcers tables with two consecutive F-5's and shelving him with two broken ribs.
Bianca Belair and Y'shtola Rhul meet in the ring ahead of their contest, giving everyone in attendance the clear cut match of the night in a 30 minute clinic for the Women's Championship. Both women showcase their varying styles of wrestling in the time they have, and in that time, Bianca is able to defeat Y'shtola by pinfall and remains champion--shaking her hand and congratulating her as well after the fact.
Roman Reigns and Ardbert put everything on the line heading into the 5th match of the pay-per-view, both men tearing each other apart from bell to bell in a ruthless showing of their absolute power. From kendo sticks to chairs to tables to straps to brass knuckles, the Tribal Chief and the Warrior of Darkness bludgeon each other in a brutal contest lasting upwards to 20 minutes; ending with Roman Reigns spearing Ardbert through a barricade and defeating him by way of referee stoppage.
With Triple H and William Regal watching by ringside, AJ Styles and Kevin Owens face off in an absolute classic to crown UCW's first ever Undisputed Champion. Reminiscent of their matches in the past, Kevin's style of brawling and stiff strikes mixed with AJ's natural athleticism puts them at odds in a 20 minute ringer with AJ ultimately coming out as the victor and new UCW Undisputed Champion.
Finally, to end the pay-per-view and decide the fate of the UCW World Championship, Nene and Hank face off in a historic bout that pushes the both of them to their very limits clocking in at just under a half hour. When it seems like Nene is on the cusp of having that title in her hands though, Sanford and Deimos assist their friend from behind the referee's back and help Hank defeat the girl in a convincing but unfair fashion. It is then that Sky appears from out of nowhere and lays waste to the three of them easily, attacking Nene as well before escaping through the crowd to end the night.

Post-Starrcade

Two days after UCW's first official pay-per-view, UCW Blackout's 2nd full month goes live in Brooklyn with the first show of the month being just 48 hours removed from an eventful and epic Starrcade. The show begins with a championship coronation held by Triple H and William Regal that sees AJ Styles, Pete Dunne, and Karrion Kross all come down to the ring and celebrate their championship wins and defenses amongst the General Managers.
Hank is then called down to end the ceremony with a direct announcement as to who his next opponent for the World Championship will be; that being the newly debuting but very well known superstar of Adam Cole. However, Nene also makes her presence known with demands for a rematch against the World Champion--prompting Triple H to book a match between her and Adam Cole to decide a number #1 contender on the go-home show before UCW's next pay-per-view, No Mercy.
Sky is seen backstage speaking to Tricky on the topic of her arrival in UCW. The two lament on their friendship and the fact that the both of them-one from Hank and the other from Nene-have targets on their backs that have completely changed their lives for better and for worse.
Sky speaks on how when she first appeared in the Newgrounds universe, she was seen as nothing more than an obsessive waste of space by everyone besides Tricky who genuinely made an effort to be her friend, and when she decided to leave to try and reevaluate herself, she saw how people like Whitty, Zardy, and Ruv had grown be known as pioneers and megastars solely through their own dominating strength while away.
Sky then decided to take it upon herself to follow in their footsteps, and despite going against Tricky's warnings, seeks to use her own newfound strength to cut a path through UCW and show the world what she's capable of--starting with Nene and ending with the UCW champion.
The second round of the UCW Tag Team Championship tournament gets underway as reDRagon faces off against the debuting FTR to decide who will face The Way in the tournaments semi-finals. Between FTR's old school and physicality based style and reDRagon's more strike oriented and fast paced wrestling, reDRagon are able to outsmart the Revolt and come out on top to advance in the tournament.
The Tag Team Championship tournament's third round pits Black Void against the Usos to determine who faces either the Street Profits or Top Guys in the semi-finals. Though they are easily outmatched in power by Top Guys, the Usos use their synergy and teamwork to put them away in the end; sending the brothers further into the second half of the tournament.
William Regal announces that a Battle Royal will be held to decide who will face Bianca Belair at No Mercy for the UCW Women's Championship. The BR itself introduces new and old icons of women's wrestling to the crowd, and ends with both Io Shirai and Toni Storm hitting the outside at the exact same time--prompting Regal to make the match at No Mercy a triple threat match for the Women's Championship.
Roman Reigns cuts a promo from a dimly lit room backstage that details his history as a leader; from his time in NXT as a dough-rolling businessman to one of the three hounds of justice that made up the Shield, he reflects on his time in the limelight amongst those who followed him and compares those times to that of Ardbert's achievements. A supposed hero across two separate worlds that still failed to put him away is no hero at all in Roman's own words, and with the Warrior of Darkness himself out of action because of Roman Reigns, the Tribal Chief opts to turn his attention to someone who reminds him of himself--Karrion Kross and the Openweight Championship. Kross accepts this challenge later in the show, and Triple H makes it official for No Mercy.
Pete Dunne has a sit-down interview with ring announcer Justin Roberts following his win over Cesaro, an interview in which the bruiserweight claims to Triple H that the only people in UCW who have any prowess as submission specialists are either gone or have been already beaten by him. He states that he knows that his run as Submission Champion is just beginning, but by the look of UCW's roster and the names that catch his eye, Pete only sees one man who would even come close to his level and acknowledges that he isn't here either; that is until the man himself, Daniel Bryan, comes face to face with Dunne and throws out the challenge right there, which Dunne accepts.

A Six Pack Challenge is held to determine who will face AJ Styles for the Undisputed Championship at No Mercy. This match consists of G'raha Tia, Tricky, Drew McIntyre, Papalymo, Thancred, Pico, and Darnell. Though the match goes on for an over-the-top and chaotic 20 minutes, the winner is decided when Darnell assists Pico in pinning Thancred to win an opportunity at AJ Styles. As for Darnell himself, he states to his friend that this is an opportunity made for Pico--Darnell has his own business to take care of.
The fourth round of the UCW Tag Team Championship tournament sees the Street Profits go two-on-two against Top Guys to see which of the two teams will face the Usos in the semi-finals. In the end, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins use their mixture of high flying and heavy hitting wrestling styles to outpower and outspeed Top Guys to a victory and a match against the Usos.
The UCW Tag Team Championship tournament's fifth round takes the tourney into its semi-final bracket, opening up with The Way facing off against reDRagon in an extremely technical and fast-paced clinic of a match. After 20 minutes of a consistently back and forth contest, The Way are able to use their resilience to run reDRagon dry of energy and defeat them to move on to the finals.
The sixth round in the Tag Team Championship tournament pits The Usos against the Street Profits in a match that blows the entire tournament out of the water. A nearly 30 minute instant classic of high-octane never slowing down action that sees both teams give their all in the vein of teamwork, synergy, and heart for a chance at the titles, the Usos are just narrowly capable of defeating the Profits and securing their spot in the finals.
The UCW Tag Team Championship tournament finishes with a bang: a 20 minute, always moving spot-fest between the Usos and The Way that sees both teams push themselves to their absolute limits both in desperation and courage for a shot at the Tag Team titles. Despite the efforts of the Way, however, the Usos defeat Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory in convincing fashion and come face to face with Sanford and Deimos as their match and title shot are locked in for No Mercy. By request of the Tag Team champions though, that match will take place as UCW's first ever ladder match for the Championships.
On the last episode of Blackout before No Mercy, Adam Cole makes his in-ring debut against Nene in a #1 Contender's match for Hank's UCW World Championship. The two of them absolutely bludgeon each other in a half hour long showcase of Cole's patented wrestling ability and Nene's hunger for another chance at the title. Sanford and Deimos make an attempt to get involved on the behalf of Hank late in the match, but are stopped by Darnell who even gets into a scuffle with Sky on the entrance ramp once the Tag Team champions are taken care of.
Darnell's involvement however throws Nene off just enough for Adam Cole to take advantage, spiking Nene with a Panama Sunrise and finishing her off with the Last Shot to secure a match with Hank in the main event of No Mercy. As a result, Nene demands a match against Sky at No Mercy from Regal and has her wish granted; stating that if Sky has a hit list all to show the world that she means business, then she better be prepared for her newly found enemies to fire back in the match that will be, by Nene's request, an Ironman match.
