I'm going to try to explain this as coherently as I can. I want Jungkook to do his thing, but at the same time, it is bothering me so much that his thing seems to be basic, crass songs about sex. Like, brother in Christ, there is a nuanced, fun, genuinely sexy way to do explicit songs that doesn't read thoughtless, fuckboi nonsense. Hello, "My Time," get off the floor, my love?! I hated Seven, but 3D is making me feel like I was harsh on her. At least Latto has flow and brings energy. WHY, for the love of all things holy, did anyone green light Jack Harlow rapping about AGB????!!!! I was LIVID because have we not had enough of white men fetishizing Asian women. And there weren't even any Asian women in the MV!!! And then the optics of the women being lined up beside him one by one. WHO OKAYED THIS???? The members as a group and in their solo work have dabbled with explicit lyrics, sex, etc. But it has never felt like this "fuck it to hell, I wanna be famous and I'll do it in the easiest way possible, lemme talk about champagne confetti." Are you serious??? This man gave us "Still With You." And I do hold Jungkook responsible for a fair amount of it. He's 26 and obviously gets final say on the final product. I get that he wants to be seen as a grown up, but all I'm seeing is the equivalent of the Nickelodeon/ Disney kids going ham to break the image. This ain't it, okay? And if the rumours I'm hearing about his EP are true, it's going to be a hard pass for me. I have never recoiled from a song that came from BTS or a member the way I have with Jungkook's singles so far. I'm aghast at his potential (which he has showcased so much in past) being squandered on this run-of-mill, brainless, nonsense. Sure, he'll get the numbers, it's going straight to radio and this fandom is bleeting in unison like sheep possessed. But he's lost a lot of my respect for him.

you expressed yourself well and I can sympathise with your negative feelings and where they’re coming from… I honestly am just as shocked about harlow’s rap being greenlit both from the team behind but also from jungkook himself. it makes me wonder once again how much he was actually involved in everything simply because I hate the thought of him being aware of the lyrics and letting them through on the nod… you can very much make a light, fun, sexy song without putting problematic phrases and innuendos in it. again, it all comes back to nuance in pretty much all aspects of this whole song discussion. wanting to be seen as mature/ as a grown-up also means taking responsibility for everything that’s put out in your name (with your consent ofc). we could probably talk about this for hours on end though and unfortunately it doesn’t change much cause as you said at the end, there’re enough people who simply do not care about all of this, blindly support their fave artist and want to vibe. I saw that 3D (edit: the version with JH) is currently number three on spotify global right after Seven, so yeah. numbers equal success, success means the support and demand is there, and so the chances are high that he will keep going in this direction, I’m afraid. but let’s wait for his album, he’s been full of surprises, maybe he’ll surprise once more, and this time in a more positive way, again

I just finished the episode... I cried like a baby during the whole thing 😔 what a beautiful conversation between Yoongi and El Capitxn. Can we talk about how beautiful he is? His hair ir gorgeous and I absolutely loved his clothes, he looked like a vampire (and he said that he's a night person) ❤️ the way he talked about his story and their relationship... It was so moving

And Yoongi looked so so cute :( I loved every single episode of suchwita and it was the best thing ever to see how relaxed he is when he's talking to others, how good he is at it, and seeing how many good friends he has around him... I miss him, Yoongi is such an amazing human being, he has always been, even when he was going through the hardest times of his life... He is an inspiration

oh baby me too 🥲🫂 I enjoyed this episode so much as well, I had been very much looking forward to it ever since the final d-day concerts. their dynamic has intrigued me so much since then, and getting to know more about their relationship was extremely interesting. I was shocked to hear about yijeong’s story and got so emotional after hearing how yoongi has played a part in him finding a new path for himself. it showed once again how immensely kindhearted yoongi is, how caring and generous, how attentive, honest and emotionally intelligent. every suchwita episode made that so clear. I miss him an insane amount as well, yoongi’s someone I look up to so much and who gives me lots of mental strength, it’s hard to not have him here right now.

and I’m so relieved to see that he has people around him who value him just as much as he does them. the part where they talked about making Dear My Friend, yijeong sharing that he had asked yoongi if he’s gonna be okay alone during that time. I’m so glad he receives this kind of love 🤍

oh and I agree with what you said about yijeong’s looks and style! I nearly couldn’t recognise him in those older clips where his hair was short and he wore glasses 😭 he’s preeeeetty cool and I’m sure I’ll find myself following his work even more from now on. I still think about his hair beads look from day 2 (?) of the final shows, it looked sick

I'm about to cry 😭 I think Tumblr is being overrun by people who don't know how to use it or treat it like social media. Just yesterday I stumbled upon a heated discussion where, sadly, a lot of people were proud to announce they don't usually follow blogs, (they only follow people they know or your blog has to be mega famous or something to get a follow) and instead go to their explore page for new content 😔. It suddenly dawned on me how/why users who don't follow me keep reblogging and liking my stuff - because Tumblr recommends me after the initial interaction. But they just don't hit follow 🤷‍♀️ and now this... not reblogging tags.. I 🤦‍♀️ as an ancient Tumblr user, this saddens me

wait, seriously? phew. I don’t think I’ve ever, in my nine years on here, clicked on the explore page. it’s sad to see tumblr getting lost to this anonymity, its use being more and more algorithm-driven and people not interacting on a “I like your vibe” basis anymore. this was always a place to connect a little more personally than on other platforms, and now we’ve come to a point where this is being perceived as something unwanted. it saddens me too

I completely agree with previous anon, who told you about not being comfortable rebloging posts tagged with your friends and dedicated to them. I don't feel comfortable rebloging these posts either. And there are always the same people being tagged in this posts. If it would say not 'for' but 'inspired by', for example, maybe it would be better. But for now, all these posts are getting some tumblr users outside of your friends' circle further away from rebloging such content.

hm, it’s a shame. I can’t say that I comprehend that because I’m really just happy to see others still post. and it makes sense that it’s always the same people, namely the ones who still enthusiastically reblog and otherwise support content. why would you tag someone you don’t know under a gifset?

I guess at the end of the day it’s up to you whether you can “bear”, for lack of a better word, the dedications or if it bothers you so much that you don’t engage with it. this however will someday result in even less content, though, the decrease is already more than palpable. it’s a vicious cycle unfortunately

The best part about the news of Namjoon's album is that we can finally discover what he has been thinking and feeling after Indigo... That's what I've been more curious about, even more than the concepts and the style of this project. It feels so awesome to be his fan and to learn the things that his incredible mind and soul have to share with us 🥺 it's like entering a new universe every time he releases new music, it takes a little more time to understand all that he has to say in his lyrics, but it's always worth it. He makes me reflex so much and at the same time there's always this familiarity and identification with his words, because his wish, as he says, is to write about his own experiences in an universal way, and he does it very well. He knows really well how to make other feel heard and I admire and love how human he is. Can't wait for rpwp 💙💙💙💙💙

does it ever drives you crazy (just how fast the night changes ) how helpful this fandom is, like, wdym i'm a fan of 7 korean men and i get to see the translations of every single one of their lyrics, interviews, posts on social media, their lives, just all their words!!?! and wdym i don't need to feel bad about not being able to buy their DVDs or any paid contents bc i know that all of them will be available on fan accounts, some of them will even be streamed as soon as they're out, this is insane
