i still have a very long way to go with the editing process to grow my characters and provide more depth and more “show not tell” of the story and the complex/complicated lives everyone has but i am so hung up on people hating on me because of the identities of my characters

#theres ten characters mentioned and only one is white #hes not the main character just a roommate of another character but he is mentioned and idk?? #i just feel like everyone is going to hate me #especially when they see my very aniishinabe last name but then see white presenting me in the dust jacket ;-;
