I want to introduce a disability concept that I've been calling paradoxical stigma.
What is paradoxical stigma? It's the stigma against:
1) The actually disabling traits of a disability that's in the spotlight for the parts of it that are convenient to accommodate, and/or
2) The diagnosis of such a disability itself,
Due to the assumption that the spotlight renders it "destigmatized" and no longer in need of support.
As of right now, at least around this corner of the internet, the most obvious examples of this are autism and ADHD. It's become disturbingly common for people to treat those like Diet Disabilities That Don't Actually Count. It's been really interesting to watch the popular attitude about these disorders shift from "autism is either a tragedy or an excuse depending on 'severity', and ADHD is just a myth used to drug kids into complicity instead of teaching them actual skills", to "actually these are real disorders that affect people in all aspects of their lives", to "I GUESS they're real disorders but honestly EVERYONE has them can't we worry about more SERIOUS ones?" and...not in a good way.
It comes up...partially as a legitimate backlash to people with these disorders who think that invisible disability and/or neurodivergence begins and ends at their experience, and...yeah, that's a problem all right, in fact if I had a dollar for every asshole who looked at my struggles with things like keeping my space clean or not fucking up my medication doses DUE TO ADHD and went "well I have the same diagnosis and I don't have THAT problem to THAT extent, obviously you're just lazy and careless", or saw me having an AUTISTIC meltdown and called it "bullying" or worse because I get loud and insisted that I NEED to CONTROL that CHOSEN BEHAVIOR if I want to not be a Bad Person, or heard about how AUTISTIC overstimulation defense measures play into my trouble with cleaning and insisted that well THEY'RE autistic too and don't have that specific problem so this is clearly weaponized helplessness because I just don't WANT to learn to do better, I'd...probably have a lot more assistive tech. I also get really, really frustrated and upset when people use RSD to mean "if you ever criticize me that's the height of ableism, no matter how much I'm actually fucking up and hurting you" - especially since it's so often invoked as a defense against being lightly criticized for ACTUALLY harmful behavior and as much as it sucks there IS no substitute to make that more emotional-dysregulation-friendly beyond basic kindness in criticism. That attitude exists. It's bad.
And yet, theoretically, I think we could all agree that the response to that should NEVER be to reinvent the old "ugh, those aren't REAL disabilities, those are just EXCUSES that LAZY PARENTS make for kids being kids, what they need is DISCIPLINE" stereotype of the 90s-2000s, just now aimed at those same kids as adults, in ostensibly supportive spaces - or arguably worse, to revert all our understanding of support needs to the externally judged high-functioning/low-functioning dichotomy.
What really sets this apart as paradoxical stigma, rather than just garden-variety lateral ableism, is that 1) we CAN theoretically all agree that reinventing those stereotypes is a terrible response, yet many people do it anyway, and 2) these stereotypes are invoked not only because of that intracommunity misbehavior, but both within and outside of disabled spaces, because of the illusion that you can bring up those disorders and have them taken seriously because fidget toys and stim videos and weighted blankets are popular now. An event having quiet rooms, or backlash to Autism Speaks being visible outside of autistic spaces, will be taken as "proof" that autism stigma is over forever and anyone who complains about it is just a whiner who doesn't know how good they have it...even when what they're complaining about is, say, being barred from migration. Paradoxical stigma is enacted by people who think that they, alone, are standing up against someone who's throwing others under the bus to continue to progress their own limited agenda...when in fact they're speaking a very popular shitty opinion, that MANY of the people making that claim would disagree with HEAVILY once separated from the "crab bucket reflex".
As a personal example, the result is that when I'm looking for assistance, I'm...hesitant to bring up those diagnoses, because I know I'm going to be written off as "obviously a high-functioning low-support needs scammer who just doesn't WANT to CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIETY and EARN things" - even by people who otherwise agree that people should be allowed to survive even if they truly are the living strawman lazy bum who has nothing wrong with them but just WANTS to lay around eating junk food and doing drugs all day, AND that disability deserves to be respected, isn't black-and-white, and affects everyone differently; somehow when these combine in the context of my diagnoses that have had a very sanitized version of themselves "destigmatized" on TikTok, they cancel out into blatant reactionary sentiment indistinguishable from what I'd hear from my shitty token Republican uncle.
So, that's paradoxical stigma. Feel free to use the term if you find it useful.

Some of the discussion that happens within the Star Wars fandom, particularly discussion of the Jedi, can be really upsetting to observe if you have certain disabilities. In fact, I’m having a hard time even liking the Jedi right now because I can’t help but associate them with some really ableist takes that I’ve seen in their defense.
Let me explain: a lot of people with certain disabilities (such as autism, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and C-PTSD) deal with something called emotion dysregulation, which means that you feel emotions more intensely than the average person and that this strong emotional state sticks around for far longer than it should. When you have emotional regulation issues, an event that might make somebody else a bit sad or mildly frustrated has the ability to put you out of commission for hours or even an entire day. Emotion dysregulation is very stigmatized, even in people who go out of their way to avoid harming people or lashing out while dealing with an episode. People with this specific issue are often told that they are “dramatic”, “attention seeking”, or “future abusers” for what amounts to an automatic emotional response that a person cannot control. This constant pushback forms a metaphorical blister that can easily be popped back open when you see anything that reminds you of what caused it in the first place.
Now, let’s move on to the Jedi. While it can be argued that their teachings were intended to instruct people to reign in their BEHAVIOR as a result of their emotions, several lines in the fist six movies sound an awful lot like they are condemning having negative emotions at all. Yoda literally tells both Luke and Anakin that emotions like fear and anger BY THEMSELVES are of the Dark Side, and these lines were very difficult for a lot of people who have dealt with trauma, neurodivergence, or other issues that cause “big emotions”. These lines, intentionally or not, mirror a lot of the things that real people have said to those of us dealing with emotion dysregulation, and people have every right to talk about this in their own spaces unmolested.
Some of the defenses of the Jedi in the context of how they are instructed to deal with their emotions come off as dismissive at best and ableist at worst. Yes, if you dig through Star Wars canon enough, you can find portrayals of the Jedi and emotions that point to a more nuanced view where choices and actions are the source of evil rather than the emotions, but this does not change the fact that the Yoda lines and other emotionally repressive applications of the Jedi Code very much exist in parts of canon. A person who found the emotionally repressive variant of Jedi teachings to be upsetting due to a disability will likely feel as though you are trying to dismiss their feelings and belittle them if you “correct” them for “misinterpretation of the Jedi”. I get that it sucks to see people bash your blorbos, but if someone is doing it because they are dealing with something IRL like trauma or ableism, then it’s best not to engage and just let that person work through it.
I have also seen people who are defending the Jedi make statements that outright attack people for having intense emotions. I remember a take that basically said that you were a baby or a psychopath if you found the Jedi code regarding emotions to be “too hard”. I’ve seen people dismiss the trauma that Anakin went through and its possible effect on how he reacted to some aspects of the Jedi order in a way that mirrors the invalidation that those of us with emotional regulation issues have experienced for being “too much” for all of our lives. Yes, it is important to avoid harming others when you are in a bad place, and no Anakin was not a great person, but so many of these takes are devoid enough of nuance that they read as if they are just trashing people who have “too many”emotions.
Feel free to defend your favorite characters all that you would like, but please spare a thought for those of us who might not dig everything about them for reasons connected to disability and trauma. The Jedi aren’t real, but we very much are.

He really does want to be a better brother than he was in the past. Fun fact regarding HOW Damien was a terrible brother: Little Damien used to lure Toddler Gemma outside under the guise of being the bestest big brother ever and taking her to a super cool Big Kid Hangout, but then he’d lock her in the dark crawlspace under the house and leave her there. This is what Rohan meant when he said he’d been running to Gemma’s rescue since they were four, Damien would take off with his friends or on his bike, leave Gemma in the crawlspace, and Rohan was the one that always let her out. Damien also, once he learned about Gemma’s phobia of dark bathrooms because she was scared of what she’d see in the mirror, would lock her in there and had to stop doing that when she hyperventilated once and passed out. The thudding of her hitting the tile ended up alerting their parents and yes, he got in BIG trouble. minirant: as a college student it annoys me to no end when students get a disability accomodation for a single and their sole disability that they apply for is anxiety. Is this unreasonable to be angry about? I think it's really frustrating because there are physically disabled students on my campus who often have trouble getting a single room but some students can just say their anxiety is disabling and get a single. Maybe it was how I was raised but it makes me want to say "get over it!"
hi! so i completely understand & relate to the frustration of the institutional ableism and lack of resources you & others at your school are experiencing, but i do feel that some of your frustration here is misdirected - absolutely not trying to say you shouldn’t be upset about difficulties for physically disabled students getting housing accommodations, just suggesting a different lens of viewing the issue. some of this might not be applicable to your university but just gonna mention a lot of factors that came to mind for me from experience, as they might be relevant to other readers :)
there might be factors outside of the control of any disabled students (physical disability, anxiety, or otherwise) affecting room decisions. at my undergrad, single rooms were more expensive, and some were in buildings that were inaccessible for other reasons. the access & accommodations office staff may be discriminating against physically disabled students through no fault of the students with anxiety. it may be a first come, first served situation. there may be other institutional policy at play (for example, at my undergrad seniors, even with single room accommodations, couldn’t get on-campus housing unless they had a certain scholarship). some students’ parents, doctors, or other support networks have greater leverage to make the school comply with their access needs. my undergrad didn’t let trans students room with strangers (which like, there are better ways to handle that, but i do think that decision is often necessary for safety). & so on
we don’t know all the disabilities or access needs of other people. anxiety being the only disability someone has diagnostic paperwork for, the only disability they discuss, or even the only disability they know about does not mean it’s the only disability they have. i firmly believe that people shouldn’t have to disclose their disabilities to the school to get accommodations, much less to me. and while not everyone with anxiety may need a single room, some people do, and that’s okay - and whether that’s a ‘real’ need or not shouldn’t be my (or the school’s!) call to make
scarcity is a conscious decision of the institution and not the fault of other disabled students. while yes, i definitely believe that some people are more disabled than others in that they experience more societal ableism and access barriers, someone shouldn’t deny themselves an accommodation they need on the off-chance that someone else out there needs it more. it’s the school’s job to provide accessible housing for all students, including single rooms for whatever students may need one, for whatever reason they may need one. your (and my! and most tbh) schools’ failure to do that is not the fault of students with anxiety - even if some of them actually are abusing the system
people with anxiety (including people with no disabilities other than anxiety) are my community members, my friends, and my allies, as i am theirs. again, i completely understand that some (even a lot!) of people with certain disabilities that are less stigmatized in certain contexts or experience fewer access barriers are often inconsiderate of my experiences, or downright rude about me being an immunocompromised mobility scooter user. it’s completely understandable and okay to be frustrated about those experiences of inter-community ableism. and i know some people with anxiety (as do some people with literally any disability) eschew identification with the disabled community. none of that means they don’t deserve to have their needs met, and i firmly believe that we are all more effective advocates, as well as more compassionate neighbors, when we work together to force institutions to provide enough resources for everyone
i appreciate your willingness to reflect on how your thoughts might stem from how you were raised, and i definitely struggle with catching myself assuming the kinds of barriers other people experience or minimizing experiences i don’t understand. what’s usually helpful for me is coming back to that t understanding of scarcity as manufactured - what resources am i lacking that are the root of my anger and fear? who has created that situation? who benefits from my energy being directed at other disabled people rather than the system?
it’s not a perfect or linear journey, but i’m trying, and i hope this offers some helpful things for you to think about. again, i’m so sorry about the institutional ableism you & others experience at your school, and i hope for a day when all of you receive the housing you need.

starting to think about looking for a new job in the very near future and my biggest fear rn is just. being in a new workplace, new people who have been there for so long already, just integrating myself into the place. leaving where I am now. and it's proper holding me back from even starting the job hunt. I know u recently got a new job if I'm not mistaken? did you have any worries like this or anything like that? advice maybe? 😭
Yes, I started a new job a month ago! Big huge response under the cut!
There were several factors that went into the decision. First, I hated my old job. It was a call center, and every single millisecond was monitored. I literally had to time my shits. They kept changing the metrics by which they measured our performance (making it harder to do "well" when, by old standards, I was doing "excellent"). They never approved same-day PTO. Each unapproved absence was a mark on your record that got you one step closer to being fired. An unapproved absence, even excused by a doctor's note, was still a mark on your record. I don't even know how that can be legal. They kept firing hardworking, established people and replacing them with new people overseas to take advantage of even worse labor laws and exchange rates. 🙃
The thing is, even though I'm autistic and have phone anxiety, I genuinely enjoyed helping people who've been victims of fraud. I was good at it, too. I was there for almost 5 years, but I knew I was considered expendable. Their policies were blatantly ableist, and I just couldn't take it anymore. Second, I wanted a job where I could go into the office. The old one changed to permanent work from home, and I kept having severe depression from being so isolated. Third, I wanted a job that would use my talents. I mean, I was good at taking phone calls, but I double-majored in math and Japanese, graduated summa cum laude, and was inducted in Phi Beta Kappa lol. And lastly, I wanted a job with opportunity for growth. (A career? 🤢)
So, the desire to get a new job started a couple years ago. But first, I had to buy my own car. I did that in February. Then the whole process of finding a new job began in April. I was in an intensive outpatient therapy program for 6 weeks. I filed a short-term disability claim and was out of work for that time. I worked on getting myself better, and got help from my peers, the therapists, the social workers, and my mom to brush up my resume and cover letter and start looking at jobs. I returned to work at the end of my disability claim with the hope that I wouldn't be there much longer.
I applied to a total of 3 different jobs, and it took several weeks to do one after the other. I would get too overwhelmed doing more than one at a time. I did the work myself, but my mom had to poke and prod me and be there as an emotional support. The first application was immediately rejected. I did a phone interview and an in-person interview for the second one and got rejected. Then my mom heard about a coworker from another department at her company retiring. They were having trouble finding a new person, so my mom told me to apply for that job. I had a phone interview and a videochat interview and got an offer after a week or so. It was a $9k bump in pay. 😳
Don't get me wrong, the change was incredibly stressful. I cried on my last day at the old job even though I had worked from home for the past 3 years and didn't have any strong relationships with my coworkers. I'm autistic, so change is extra difficult for me. And my shift went from 1 PM - 10 PM to 7:30 AM - 4 PM. That was rough. On top of that, I've developed chronic migraine (more than half of the days in a month) this year. I'm also immunocompromised and have IBS and sensory issues. So, I just have to work through the internalized shame of being disabled. I have a lot of work to do still. I had planned on telling my boss that I'm autistic the first day, but I still haven't mentioned it. It might be obvious based on the stuff I do and bring, though. I wear a mask and giant pink goggles. I bring earplugs, noise cancelling headphones, discreet stim toys, ibuprofen, rizatriptan, anti-nausea meds, Tums, Gas-X, Afrin, and hand sanitizer in my backpack. I've had a couple crying episodes worrying about the social aspect of talking to people and the job itself. But I know this will be a much better fit for me, and this is a company I could work at until I retire.
So, part of it was hard work, and the other part was luck that my mom also works at the company and heard about the position. In these times, I know 3 job applications is nothing, but it took all of my strength just to do those consecutively. My advice? Get an accountability buddy. Try to find someone who can help you break down the process into manageable chunks and make you do them at a reasonable pace, without judgment. Could be a friend, a parent, a sibling, a partner, an old teacher, whoever. As for the actual hunting on the Accursed Websites? You'll have to ask Google for help. That's what I did. 😭
P.S. (IMPORTANT!) With my experience in bank fraud, I've seen a lot of job scams. Take these tips to heart (if you're in America): 1.) Make sure the position on Indeed or wherever is ALSO on the official company website. If possible, apply on the official website. 2.) No company will ever give you a check to buy supplies for the job. A true company will order and ship the supplies to you. 3.) No company will ever prepay you for work you haven't done yet. 4.) No company will ever overpay you and ask you to send part of the money back via Zelle, CashApp, Venmo, PayPal, etc. 4.) No company will ever email you a check. 5.) If you're not familiar with checks and aren't sure if it's legit, call the bank listed on the check to see if it's legit or fraud. 6.) Any too-good-to-be-true work-from-home job is a 100% a scam. 7.) If you think only the elderly fall for scams like this, you're wrong. 18- to 25-year-olds are another big scam victim demographic, especially for scams involving checks or 3rd party payment processors (CashApp, Venmo, etc.). Banks can and will terminate your accounts if you accidentally commit bank fraud or money laundering. 😬
Best of luck!

hi! I totally agree with your post, that it's bad to dismiss mental illness depending on privilege, but intersectionality is probably not the word you want to use! (intersectionality is about recognizing racial realities in a racist system, most specifically to empower black women because they are one of the most disempowered groups.) hopefully this doesn't come across as aggressive, it's just some words in social justice discussion have important meaning and I think it's good to respect that! thank you!
Thanks for your ask, anon, but, frankly, I disagree. That is not *all* of intersectionality. It is a *part* of intersectionality and where the analytical framework came from, but it is not all of it. Intersectionality at its core is just "there are different axis of oppression/privilege, such as race, ethnicity, age, gender, physical/mental disability, class, religion etc. and these all play together to create a system of advantages/disadvantages, rather than a person only being affected by a single one of them".
The idea that you can be privileged in one way, yet oppressed in another (e.g. a white woman) is one of the core ideas of intersectionality, because looking at these specific aspects of personhood (race and gender) as individual yet interconnected is what allows to distinguish different levels/expressions of oppression (e.g. both white women and black women suffer under sexist patriarchical societal norms, but white women have privilege where black women don't).
The feminist movement (and particularly issues faced by black women) is where this analytical framework came from, but it is by no means the only place this framework is applicable.
Dimitri's case is one that can be analyzed from an intersectional perspective, because *everyone's* case can be analyzed from an intersectional perspective. Let's say there are the following axis of oppression in Faerghus:
male vs female
rich vs poor
noble vs commoner
crested vs uncrested
able bodied vs disabled
mentally healthy vs suffering from MI
citizen of Faerghus vs foreigner
I specifically do not mention race/skin color here, because at least in FE3H every single instance of a foreigner being discriminated against is... because they are a foreigner, not because they're darker skinned, and there are light-skinned foreigners who face suspicion and potentially discimination in the game (Shamir), just as much as there are "darker than average" skinned Fodlanders who face none (Catherine). Also, for some reason tumblr won't let me format that list above as bullet points/numbered, but whatever.
Anyway, let's say those are the seven axis of oppression in Faerghus. Intersectionality means recognizing that while these are individual axis, they do intersect--they are not seven lines stacked neatly on top of each other to form one line and they are not floating in some nebulous space wholly disengaged from each other. Dimitri is 6 : 1 on the advantaged : disadvantaged scale here, although you could argue that the strength his crest bestows him actively poses a physical challenge to him, so while being crested and able bodied puts him as advantaged in those regards, in daily life having his crest and the strength that comes from it actually disadvantages him frequently (Dimitri comments multiple times on how he often accidentally breaks things).
Outside of an intersectional framework, these distinctions would not exist. Outside of intersectionality, you'd either look at Dimitri and go "male, rich, noble, crested, able bodied guy from Faerghus obviously doesn't have problems" or "yes he is mentally ill, but all the other stuff doesn't have anything to do with that". Intersectionality is saying "yes, he is all of those things and that means *his* struggle with MI is going to be different than say... a Duscur commoner's struggle with MI [hi, Dedue!], because the Duscur commoner ALSO has to deal with discrimination for being from Duscur and the financial constraints/anxiety/etc. that come from being poor, which is not gonna help dealing with the MI, so while both a poor man from Duscur and Dimitri are mentally ill, Dimitri's experience with this disadvantage and all the systemic issues that might entail (Fodlan does not really seem to have therapists?) is very different from that of the Duscur commoner."
And that's it. That right there is intersectionality. But the basis to understanding intersectionality is to understand that someone can be oppressed in one way and privileged in others, that those two things are not mutually exclusive, and that's what people who devalue Dimitri's experience with MI because he's an absolute monarch, as if rich and powerful people cannot ever possibly have problems, are missing.
Anyway, TLDR: "intersectionality" is an analytical framework that has its origin in black feminism, but that doesn't mean that black feminism is the only place where we can and should apply it.

okay, i know for a fact that i’m not the only person who was constantly told as a kid, over and over and fucking OVER, that we shouldn’t sit down if we’re doing something that “requires” standing up (stares at gym/PE class). but what i was never told, even though it was absolutely implied, was that sitting down means that you’re fat and lazy, and that standing up is “healthier” for you, and it means that you’re paying closer attention, or perhaps some other “reason.” let me tell you, as a person who experienced chronic pain symptoms and mobility issues, it is extremely problematic to tell people, ESPECIALLY young kids, that. i had a lot of mobility issues when i was younger, and i still do, and my teachers would yell at me, snap at me, to stand up when my back needed a rest, when i had to sit down just for a little bit. and that was a constant. it happened most, if not every, time i sat down when my knees and my lower back started to hurt. years later i would discover that i actually have retrolisthesis in a vertebra in my lumbar region, a potentially arthritic knee, and fibromyalgia.
telling kids not to sit down and basically making them stand up instead is dangerous. it puts into kids’ heads that sitting down makes them lazy, means that they’re not focused, and it’s ESPECIALLY harmful for kids who are disabled or who will develop disabilities as they age. i’m 21 now and i still feel a tremendous amount of guilt when i ask my viola professor if i can sit down during a lesson because my back is hurting, if i can take a seat, at least for a minute, during our studio classes and the performances where we generally have to stand up. i always think i’m lazy, and i always find myself saying, or at least mouthing, the word ‘sorry.’ i feel guilty about the symptoms that i likely can’t control. thankfully he’s been really kind about it, but unfortunately not everyone has had those experiences. and it sucks how people basically have to wait until they get into higher education (if they do at all) to be understood along those lines.
it’s fucked up how people feel like they need to apologize for doing what their body is telling them that it needs. and it’s something we likely learned from the teachers who basically forced us to stand up when we really needed to sit down. it teaches kids to feel bad about how they’re feeling, and to hide and not talk about potential symptoms. ‘cause i sure as hell was taught to hide my symptoms & not talk about them from these experiences, especially after being called fat and lazy and every other word under the sun as an elementary school student and being forced to stand up for long periods of time when my back was screaming at me to sit the fuck down. and this message as a whole absolutely is NOT restricted to schooling, it’s definitely applicable to people who work long hours and who are basically forced to stand for nearly 6-7 hours at a time (perhaps longer depending on the job), with only ~45 minutes (again, depending on the job/working area/etc) split up here and there to give your back and feet a rest, with no place to sit and rest while on the clock at least for a little bit because, at least in my experience, management apparently thinks that standing up looks more ‘professional’ than sitting down (which is EXTREMELY ableist).
basically the takeaway is that if you’re thinking about going into education, if a student sits down or asks to sit down, fucking let them. and if you’re disabled and have experienced anything that i’ve described here, please, know this: it’s okay to sit down. it’s okay to listen to your body, and to take care of yourself in whatever way you need. i love you. ❤️
and, before you ask, yes, it is okay for non-disabled people to reblog this!! but instead of detracting from the larger message (i know most of you are good bois who won’t), maybe share a story from a disabled friend, or just reblog in solidarity. c:

There's a new roleplay called Savannah-Roleplay who's guidelines say they're dedicated to diversity but all admins play only white characters.
Sorry this took so long to respond to - I needed to be on my laptop in order to give their group a proper once-over and look at everything.
This is a longer response, so I put it under a 'read more'
I want to start off by saying that I do not condone people going to this group and bullying/harassing the admin team.
I know that Ana de Armas' heritage is a little bit in the grey area, because some say she should count as POC and others claim she should not. I forget the actual specifics, but it has something to do with her father - but the only thing I have seen about this discourse is (of course) over Tumblr....
I did look at their definition of 'diverse' (because every group is different), and savannah-roleplay states in their guidelines: "Diversity is deeply important and strongly encouraged. Examples of what we mean when we say characters are diverse are their: age, gender, ethnicity, religion, occupation, hometown, disability, etc. Please remember if your first two characters are white, your third and/or fourth must be bipoc."
I feel that is it wrong to claim to want diversity (claim it's DEEPLY important and STRONGLY encouraged), but then not start-off with diverse characters. As admins, you set the tone for the rest of the group and for those looking to apply. If you claim you're striving for diversity, you want to show that the admin team is dedicated to that and bringing in characters who are diverse. In return, you then attract players who want to bring in diversity as well. This is an issue that they are now facing, and I will speak on in a bit.
But, all of the admin characters are white. All of them are within the same age range (Phoebe is 33, Ana is 34, Matthew is 35, and Casey is 35). Now religion, the characters could be diverse - I understand that. Occupation? Ehhhhhh..... I get there should be diversity within social classes, yes. Hometown? Wowza, kinda a stretch there as a loophole but also yes, cause of different cultures. Gender? Yes, I guess - but there are a lot of trans, gender fluid, agender, gender non-conforming, ect. faceclaims that could be used to better represent this diversity, other than just male and female. Disability? Yes, definitely. But, again, there are physically handicapped, deaf, ect. faceclaims who could be used to represent this type of diversity.
This is not to attack these admins, but there are too many loopholes around diversity for players to just bring in varying white muses. Not even to mention the loosey-goosey "your third and/OR fourth must be bipoc" is disturbing and not an accurate representation of the voices and color in our world, today. When looking at their app count, you have a total of 6/7 applicants bringing in a white faceclaim. Granted, Nicola is body-diverse and that's AMAZING, but she's still white. That means, that as a roleplaying environment, there's only 1/11 (when adding admins) that it a poc...
It's really, just, sad? And seems ignorant on the part of the admins to condone such an environment where poc voices/stories are not going to be able to safely express themselves. No hate, but it's just.... very disappointing to see that going on.

#VALLUM FIREWALL FOR MAC REVIEW FOR MAC#
We have submitted Twitter for Mac v8.1.1 for review w/ a change to work around keyboard input issues in secure text fields. I am seeing a consistent CPU usage when the app is idle. These look like a bunch of Catalyst-specific fixes, mixed in with more general improvements.
#VALLUM FIREWALL FOR MAC REVIEW WINDOWS#
It's got me baffled, and a bit concerned.Along with all the improvements that go into Twitter for iOS, we’ve also worked on some Mac specific thingsįixed: scrolling would temporarily stop working when closing certain windows using ESC keyįixed: secondary clicking on a username would break secondary clicking for remainder of app sessionįixed: when under the Messages tab, navigating into “Message requests” would not offer a way to back out other than clicking the Messages tab againįixed: some windows could be dragged from anyone in their UI to move their window.
#VALLUM FIREWALL FOR MAC REVIEW INSTALL#
There's now a number of important log files which I don't have access to, whether it's due to bad configuration (fresh install of El Capitan only 2 weeks), or worse someone tampering with my system? I believe this file is meant to log authorisations and failures for services such as SSH. ? file appfirewall.log file_max=100M all_max=500Mīut it also has the following lines in the conf file # Facility gets saved in appfirewall.log I've found that rc.conf has the following lines in it. I'm unsure if appfirewall.log needs to be configured in nf or asl.conf at all? Currently it's not listed. So the firewall is working and blocking network traffic. However I can view the logging life as it's happening in terminal. Again the log file doesn't seem to be created at all. I've also set up PF now using a gui called IceFloor. I'm wondering if it may have something to do with permissions set for the log files maybe? I've had the issue with the firewall logging since the first time I checked which would've been a year or so ago now. Thanks I might look into disabling SIP to test and see if it works, but I don't want to leave SIP off, so that it can do what it's designed to do and protect the system. I haven't tried disabling SIP to see if it would make any difference. Whether this has anything with the firewall logs I am not sure. The only thing that comes to mind is System Integrity Protection (SIP) has been enabled by default with Sierra. I believe the correct logging options command should include a colon, as follows: -setloggingopt : detailĪgain, I'm running Sierra and I could not find any ALF logs in the /var/log folder. I believe that I have the correct commands and am configuring the correct firewall, but on my system it doesn't seem to be writing to the log file at all, even when I read the current status and it says that logging is enabled. Sudo /usr/libexec/ApplicationFirewall/socketfilterfw -setloggingopt detail Sudo /usr/libexec/ApplicationFirewall/socketfilterfw -setloggingmode on Per chance, where logging was successful, were these pre-Sierra Macs? I've tested turning logging on and off via the following commands 'on a different machine' and it seems to have the desired effect of turning the logging on and off, and it writes to appfirewall.log. and yes, I believe it should be writing logs to the /var/log folder when logging is enabled. Yes, we are talking about the same OS X / macOS application layer (or socket filter) firewall. Correct me if I'm wrong but it is the ALF, Application Layer Firewall which is the one I'm looking for isn't it? Which should write to the file.

Yes I think that Bonjour is working.Did you try resetting your router? If so I think the next place to look is at the other computers, are they all windows or a mix of osx and windows?Naming the windows network simply"WORKGROUP"seems to work best for me(usually have 6 wired and a couple of wireless connections going)So i would check each pc and make sure they all have the same workgroup name, also if they are Windows 7 they should be set to Home Network not Public. On other macs and on yours make sure file sharing is on,I noticed after one of the updates it had been turned off. Step 1: Open a Finder window on your Mac. No-one has replied, and I'm sure there is an easy answer! So, you think that Bonjour is working OK? What could be causing the lack of 'Sharing' options appearing in Finder then?īTW, OT I know, but can you help at all with my question in OK, I can see other computers iTunes shared libraries. I've got the same issue now, since the last airport update(the one after 10.6.3) I think it's more Apple related than Hackintosh related because my real macs(imac and macbook pro) have the same problem.I have a temporary solution that seems to work for the windows shares.First in Finder Preferences,in the General tab check the show connected servers on desktop box. Then mount the servers using the menubar Go method (like we discussed before).Next open login items and drag the mounted shares into there.then you can uncheck the show connected severs box. This is not a good permanent solution but it saves having to login to a bunch of shares all the time.At least for me it would mean logging in to 2 windows home servers,2 windows 7 pcs,and an imac manually after each startupĮdit: I got everything showing back up on there own, just reset my wireless router(unplug it for 30 seconds) first making sure everything on the network was turned on and awake A wait of at least 10 seconds for your Mac’s internal registries to reset. This function can be turned on and off in Finder -> View -> Show View Options by checking the box next to Show Preview Icon, but in some cases it may not work even if you have the setting enabled. Using Spotlight: Press Command + Space Bar and type the folder name. Using top menu bar: In the Finder, click on Go and select Downloads.
#Audiofinder finder section not showing finder sidebar items download#
Tip: If you do this in Chrome, you will be taken to the browser’s download list. If you previously relocated your Application Support Folder, you might. Try a new cable and see if your Apple iPhone magically turns up. Using Keyboard Shortcuts: In the Finder, press Option + Command + L. Changes in v5.9.19: Fixed Folder data missing bug introduced in 5.9.18. The only way to get your Desktop and Documents folders showing again in your Home folder is to disable Desktop & Documents in. If you are not seeing them in the iCloud Drive section in the Sidebar, that is another matter that needs to be investigated (as others are trying to do). Back to my Mac, or Connected Servers, showing in Finder sidebar even though I have them ticked in Preferences. KVR Audio News: Iced Audio has updated AudioFinder for macOS to v5.9.19. The Desktop & Documents folders now 'appear' in iCloud Drive.

This is where things get slightly complicated. Since this is Windows, you’ll probably be using Microsoft Word to do it. If you’re buying a Windows 10 S machine, there’s a good chance you’re a student or working professional who’s going to need to do some word processing at some point. Of course, any web-based services, like Pandora, Google Play Music, YouTube Music, or Tidal will all work fine in Edge. But Microsoft announced at Build 2017 that it’s reached a deal with Apple and will be offering iTunes on the Windows Store soon, though we still don’t have a firm date as to when that happens. Apple doesn’t offer a web player, so you need iTunes. If you’re an Apple Music subscriber, right now you’re still out of luck. While you might have been forced to use a mobile version of the Spotify app at one point, Microsoft now offers the regular desktop version of Spotify on the Windows Store, so you’ll be able to use it like you would any other computer. Obviously, if you use Microsoft’s Groove Music service, you’re already good to go, but I suspect that applies to fewer people than Microsoft would like. exe files on Windows 10 S, but it’s unclear how far it’s implemented it, and there’s clearly more work to be done to make this clear to consumers. Microsoft is going to redirect users to the Windows Store when they try to download. You just can’t install anything outside of the store. Similarly, Edge didn’t have any of my usernames or passwords conveniently saved, but using a password management service like LastPass (which functions cross-platform, and is available through the Windows 10 Store) will help simplify that process.įrustratingly, Windows 10 S is still Windows at its core, so websites will still ask if you’d like to install apps (Yes, Google, I would prefer to use Chrome but I can’t!), and installers will even tantalizingly download as they normally would. Alternatively, you can get a different Windows 10 computer, sync your Chrome settings, import them to Edge, and then sync those to your Windows 10 S machine. It’s messy, but the easiest way to get all your Chrome or Opera data to Windows 10 S is to export bookmarks to an HTML file, and manually import them. While Edge on regular Windows can import bookmarks and other data from installed browsers, Windows 10 S can’t grab data from other browsers. The biggest annoyance with Edge, however, is importing user data. Flash is also available on 10S, although Edge will disable it by default, even on pages like the Microsoft Store.
Tumblr media
I work almost entirely web-based, and between writing and browsing, I didn’t really run into any issues. Microsoft’s Edge browser isn’t my preference, but it’ll still get the job done for most of what you need to do. Google doesn’t make Chrome for Windows 10 S, and even if it did, Microsoft won’t let you set it as the default browser. If you’re on Windows 10S, that means you’re stuck using Microsoft Edge. In today’s cloud-based world, your web browser is almost a more important choice than your operating system. So whether you’ve got a fancy new Surface Laptop or a budget HP ProBook, here’s how to survive with those limitations and make the most out of your Windows 10 S experience. The flip side is that by requiring applications to only come from the Windows Store, Microsoft can do a whole lot more to ensure that Windows 10 S is a fast, secure operating system. What that means in practical terms is that 10 S is a more locked-down version of Windows, with users limited to only being able to install Windows Store applications. It’s designed for students, and it’s meant to take on Google’s Chromebook and Chrome OS ecosystem. Windows 10 S is Microsoft’s newest version of its Windows operating system.

HOW TO BURN ISO TO USB MACBOOK PRO HIGH SIERRA UPGRADE
The procedure described in the steps 1-3 worked for me until macOS Sierra, but with the upgrade to High Sierra, I started getting a pinkish/reddish screen and I was unable to enter Recovery mode to repeat step 3 as I had to do in previous upgrades. You can permanently disable discrete graphics card following next steps: UPDATE! Try to edit NVRAM variable from Single-User mode
HOW TO BURN ISO TO USB MACBOOK PRO HIGH SIERRA HOW TO
Is that true? And if yes, how to do that? I heard that the same EFI setting is responsible for not even showing the integrated GPU to other operating systems than macOS and you have to trick it somehow to think it's macOS. If I disable the discrete GPU from EFI, will macOS think that the integrated GPU is the one installed and will it let me use multiple monitors with it?
HOW TO BURN ISO TO USB MACBOOK PRO HIGH SIERRA MAC OS X
If you force integrated graphics in GfxCardStatus, Mac OS X (up to Yosemite at least) doesn't allow you to use multiple monitors (even though the built in Iris Pro can do it). The question is basically whether the command mentioned in GfxCardStatus github issue comment here is correct or not, and how to undo it if it doesn't work.Īn answer to this alone is a correct answer, but it'll be awesome if you can also tell me: I'd also want to know how to undo it if needed. I assume this is persistent across multiple reboots. How can I disable the discrete GPU from EFI? I know I can use GfxCardStatus but I read I could have a more permanent solution by changing some EFI flag.
HOW TO BURN ISO TO USB MACBOOK PRO HIGH SIERRA INSTALL
If you’re looking to perform a clean install of macOS, then this is the best way to do so.I'd like to disable the NVidia GTX 750M GPU on my MacBook Pro 15" (Retina, Mid 2014, Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite). Once the process is finished, you’ll have a working macOS Sierra USB install disk that can be used to reinstall the macOS Sierra beta on a freshly wiped Mac. Step 14: The install process will begin by erasing the contents of your USB disk and copying the installer files to disk. The entire process is quite lengthy it can take around 20-30 minutes, so you’ll need to show patience. Step 13: Type a ‘Y’ to continue when prompted to do so, and press Return on your keyboard.

Step 12: Press Return on the Keyboard to submit the full command. Step 11: Open Finder → Applications and drag the Install 10.12 Developer Preview into the Terminal window. Step 10: Type -applicationpath in the Terminal followed by a space. Step 9: Connect your USB drive and drag the USB drive into the Terminal window. Step 8: Type -volume followed by a space. Subscribe to our YouTube channel for more macOS how-tos Step 7: Drag the createinstallmedia file from the Finder window opened in Step 4 to the Terminal window. Step 6: In the Terminal window type sudo followed by a space. Step 5: Open a Terminal window via Applications → Utilities → Terminal. Step 3: Open Finder → Applications and right-click on Install 10.12 Developer Preview and select Show Package Contents. Step 2: Once macOS Sierra is downloaded, close the install pop-up that appears using Command (⌘)+Q Once the public beta for macOS Sierra opens, anyone who signs up will be able to redeem a download code and install the beta. Since macOS is currently only available for developers, you’ll need to first redeem a download code via Apple’s developer website. Step 1: Download macOS Sierra from the Mac App Store. Make sure that the disk you choose to use doesn’t contain anything that you want to keep, because the following tutorial will purge everything on the drive. Kingston sells an 8GB USB 3.0 drive for less than 6 bucks. Your USB drive should be at least 8GB, and a USB 3.0 drive is preferred. In the following video tutorial, we’ll show you how.Ī note on flash drives: You will need a USB flash drive to make this work. Not only will this walkthrough work for the macOS Sierra Developer Preview, but it will also work for the public beta and future final releases. If you want the ability to perform a fresh and clean install of macOS Sierra, then you should consider creating a macOS Sierra USB install disk.

Forget the preferred network via Wi-Fi settings on the device, before entering the details again.Turn off the Wi-Fi router as well as the phone, and wait for a few minutes before turning them back on.Users in other markets such as the UK and India have reportedly been able to get replacements directly from HTC or the network carrier for free, as long as it is within the regular warranty period.īluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity issues are a common scenario with newly purchased devices and affected users can follow the troubleshooting steps provided below: US users of the phone can get a replacement easily under the "Uh-Oh Protection Plan," an extended warranty programme. It seems replacement is the only viable solution for this issue, as several reports suggest that these cracks do tend to appear along the sides, while not showing up in the captured photos.Reports of spotting cracks on the Sapphire glass covering the camera unit are making waves on the internet, even as users have confirmed that the device is not subjected to accidental bumps or drops. If the issue still persists, then the only remaining option is to submit the device for repair or replacement.Ĭracks on Sapphire glass covering the camera unit.As a temporary respite from this issue, you may try a soft reset. Also try calibrating the sensor by going to Settings > Display and Gestures > G-Sensor Calibration.Navigate to Hardware Misbehaving? > Hardware Diagnostics > G-Sensor Test, and run the app to check if it is working fine. As this seems to be an issue with the Gyroscope, it is imperative to ensure there are no issues with the G-sensor using the pre-installed Help application.Numerous users have reported that their One M9's Auto-rotate feature is failing to switch from portrait to landscape orientation, regardless of the app under use. Alternatively, try reducing the brightness of the display and fiddle with various power saving modes such as Extreme Power Saving Mode, which severely limits functionality. As a last resort, try turning off location services as they can drain the battery quickly. If yes you can either perform a Factory Reset or uninstall apps one by one and check if the issue disappears. Boot the device in Safe Mode and check if the issue persists. So, it is safe to disable such offending apps via Settings > Accounts and Sync. The root cause of any battery drain issue could be linked to apps running in the background. Some users have reportedly complained about rapid battery drain issues with the phone running out of juice in less than nine hours, despite using it for just about an hour.Ĭheck out a few potential fixes to address this issue: Alternatively, try downloading an application like Gravity Screen from the Google Play Store, which gives enhanced control with the display on/off functionality, without needing to press any buttons or tapping on the screen.Verify that the double tap to wake feature is enabled under Settings > Display and Gestures > Motion Launch.Go to Hardware Misbehaving > Hardware Diagnostics and run the G-Sensor Test, to ascertain whether it is working, and also calibrate the G-Sensor. Ensure that the G-sensor is working right with the pre-installed Help application. Here are a few quick-fixes to overcome this issue: The Double Tap to Wake feature is reportedly not working on some phones as intended and in some cases the device requires double press of the Power button to wake it from sleep. If the vibration motor still doesn't work, then you need to submit the phone for repair or replacement depending on the device's warranty status. If yes, then let the test run for about an hour and this should fix all potential issues. Check if the vibration motor is now functional.Try running a vibration motor test via your phone dialer by calling up *#*#3424#*#* and then tap the accept button.Several One M9 users have been reportedly complaining about the vibration motor not working with notification alerts, although the option is enabled in the device's settings menu.Īlthough it is ascertained that a gentle tap on the right edge of the device on the back temporarily fixes the issue, the issue seems to return after some time. IBTimes UK explores some of the most common problems being faced by the HTC One M9 users in the recent past: HTC One M9 users have been plagued with a spate of inherent bugs and performance issues, despite its power-packed hardware configuration that justifies its high-end smartphone tag.

NOX APP PLAYER ERROR RETRIEVING INFORMATION FROM SERVER SOFTWARE
NOX APP PLAYER ERROR RETRIEVING INFORMATION FROM SERVER CODE
The “Internet Download Manager” product on this Website WILL NOT COLLECT any information about you and HAS NO SPYWARE components inside of it.
NOX APP PLAYER ERROR RETRIEVING INFORMATION FROM SERVER INSTALL
Follow the instructions to install the software. (It will usually be in your Downloads folder.) How do I install a download on my computer? The most useful of these is the speed limiter. As you can see from the images itself, IDM’s box offers many options compared to FDM’s. IDM’s download dialog box is much better than FDM’s. Is freeload Manager better than IDM? IDM is one of the most popular Download manager for Windows. Is IDM traceable? Yes the owner of the website you are downloading from can track the traffic and which files you downloaded.
NOX APP PLAYER ERROR RETRIEVING INFORMATION FROM SERVER SOFTWARE
It belongs to software Internet Download Manager and developed by Tonec. This process is known as Internet Download Manager (IDM). Some people can get away with fewer Mbps, and others need more. With 100 Mbps, you can watch Netflix or YouTube, attend Zoom meetings, and play most online games on several devices at the same time. What is good download speed?Ī good download speed is at least 100 Mbps, and a good upload speed is at least 10 Mbps. But another reason for your slow Wi-Fi could be bandwidth throttling. Those fixes may be as easy as restarting your modem and router or upgrading to a mesh network. Your router could be outdated or it could be too far away from your TV or computer, for example. Slow internet speeds can be caused by a number of things.
Disable other devices connected to your router.
How to increase download speed: 15 tips and tricks How do I make my internet download faster? I believe IDM may actually make multiple requests to the same file at the same time, and thus trick the server into providing higher bandwidth through the multiple connections. Typically a download manager accelerates by making multiple simultaneous connections to the remote server. List Of Best Download Manager For Windows Internet Download Manager can increase your download speeds by up to five times, according to the developer of the application. This software may be built into a web browser or as a stand-alone manager. The error message I get from from the Monitor is " Error when trying to retrieve data from network".Īny guidelines would be greatly appreciated.A download manager is a software that helps you to prioritize your downloads, faster download speeds, automatic antivirus checking, support for pausing and resuming downloads, and also offers built in scheduler. I parse through all data from sharepoint to a collect first before displaying results, there are no instances of displaying data directly from a sharepoint library.Īccording to our network team, no ports were blocked recently in the firewall to prevent this from happening. I restored a version of the PowerApp to 8 weeks ago where I know for a fact we had no issues - however even on that version we are still experiencing a massive slow down on retrieving data.
NOX APP PLAYER ERROR RETRIEVING INFORMATION FROM SERVER CODE
In the past month I only added an extra sharepoint list to the PowerApp, and have begun optimising some bad code so you would think the experience should have improved with optmisations. The last 2 weeks, we have been experiencing a slow down of the app until last week Friday where it has completely now become unusable (current version 3.21094.25). We have a PowerApp that for all intents and purposes was working quite happily around a month ago with no issues ( version 3.21085.24). I am in need of your expertise as I am quite stumped on this.

From what little I played up until Alexander's battle to get out of Fort Joy , the main issue with the game were some ridicoulous decisions in the mechanics. But unlike Skyrim or Oblivion, these flaws aren't so fundamental as to the only way to "fixing" them would be to completely remake the whole game. Let There Be Tooltips! Click to expand The remaning mods in whatever order you want to Last edited: Sep 28, The mod author of the Divine War Overhaul has apparentely released a new improved overhaul in the end of last year: Divinity Unleashed Like the previous mod it touches all mechanics and values of the game, but this time not only are the changes more extensive but due to the help of the Norbyte Extender some systems function in ways that weren't possible before. I think the reworks of the mod will be to the liking of most codexers: Mod Features said:. Armour Overhaul: No longer acting as two separate HP bars, the armour you build now behaves as static damage reduction. Hybrid parties are better than ever before. Status Simplicity: No status, even from mods, is resisted by armour or any other kind of mechanic. Instead, statuses from both the base game and other mods have been rebalanced for immediate application. New mechanics: Cooldown reduction, status extension and more add a fresh coat of paint to the gameplay you love. Lightweight and Immersive: Divinity Unleashed's features are unintrusive and let you pile on as many mods as you want, letting you play the game your way. And yes, that means no more random bosses Turns Galore: Turn-skipping status effects have been made scarce, allowing for faster-paced combat. Even modded statuses have been predictively altered to fit this style. Build Freedom: Offering more build freedom than ever before, Divinity Unleashed puts hybrid parties, healers and tanks on even footing with a comprehensive overhaul of character progression. Not in the mood for cheese? Telekinetic instant kills, infinite resurrection chains and sniping enemies miles away outside of combat have been scripted into oblivion. Get ready for a challenge! Superior Balance: Thanks to an in-depth reworking of core game skills and mechanics, the Damage Meta is a thing of the past. With an even playing field, any sufficiently planned build is viable. Might and Magic: Enemy resistances are squashed down to size and bosses no longer generate immunities on higher difficulties, gaining other buffs instead. Witches and wizards alike are more viable than ever. Permanent Summons: Summons now have infinite duration, but while active, the skill used to summon them remains permanently on cooldown during combat. Summons are encouraged to cast before combat and keep alive. Go ahead and slap it on an existing save file. This mod won't bite! These mods are all in the Steam Workshop, so for those of you that don't possess the Steam version, here's a site that let's you download those mods. Found this custom Adventure today. It's a recreation of the a 4th edition DnD campaign called Pyramid of Shadows. Also here's a fun gauntlet of challenges - Arena Challenges. Pretty much multiple high level fights against various custom Bosses. Since these are "Adventure" mods user made campgains for DOS2 , all the mods in first 2 posts work with no problems. The game is unplayable without it. With the DND-like scaling the max HP at level 20 will be around instead of I already have the link to "No Bloat Tactian" on the original post. Besides Divinty Unleashed much like Divine War has a different Vitallity progression from the main game. I tested on some high level encounters level 30 and enemies with a well developed Constitution had around of HP - plus take into consideration even the weakest attacks do around dmg. Finally since the armor system in Divinity Unleashed acts as it always should damage reduction Vitallity isn't that important in the long term anymore. Overall I think this new mod realizes the potential of Divinity's combat. Joined Jan 14, Messages 43, I'd have to do a mod-free run to test it out and I'm too lazy to do it. Onionguy Educated. Joined Jul 22, Messages 10, Played to level five with this setup, initially with just four, then went six-man since Tactician Unleashed surfaces are so punishing. Six-man is such a relief as you're not constantly switching between companions. Unleashed is solid, the initiative mod is a clusterfuck unfortunately as initiative is the main flaw in the base game. Cool list. Would like to try out the "Summon Rework" and "Additional Summons" mods, but I afraid I would have to restart the game. Although there are some odd choices like a enemy scalling mod and another that makes companions AI controlled. Desiderius said:. It's a bit wonky but it does work and that's enough for me, simply because I couldn't stand how it functions in the base game. The retarded initiative was for me the nail to the coffin alongside the armor system If the other things are improved, I guess it will still have the sad, number bloated itemization with equipment changes every 2nd level. Anyway, I look forward to your findings Desiderius! Haplo said:. That is neat. An important start. But does it make the itemization interesting? Joined Mar 28, Messages I'd like to respec but I'm still at Fort Joy island. I read that there is no way to do it until you get out of the island. I found a mod on steam that adds a respec item inside Fort Joy but it says: " This mod is deprecated and unsupported with the addition of Larian's new Respec Mirror ". If it does indeed exists, can it be added on an ongoing campaign? The "official" respect mirror on Fort Joy is a Gift Bag mods that Larian has made a an official free add-on. You have to open the Gift Bag menu on-game to activate them. SoupNazi rial billionaire. The "no bloat" mod just makes the game extremely easy. Like, ridiculously so. And the game is already too easy on tactician if you've played through it once. I like Divine War, the Initiative fix, and all of Odinblade's class mods. Some of the QoL mods like leveling up equipment etc. I would steer away from the "enemies are not psychic" mod, again, makes it laughably easy especially if you're playing an undead. The major problem of this game is that it forces you down a narrow path through the gargantuan level differences, in most acts you have to take a certain route in order to survive. But that's not solved by the bloat reduction, that just makes the doable fights ridiculously easy and the hard to impossible fights just easy to normal. It has a good story that should be experienced, and after that, the replayability is in the fights which should be kept difficult and to the level you should be at. SoupNazi said:. I like the Epic encounters or whatever it is called mod better than those in your list combined. AI should never use a knockdown arrow if they see I'm at full physical armor, they should be using netherswap and teleport correctly to abuse mass corpse explosion, all the necro combos, apothesis, skin graft etc. It's not fun to get obliterated by an AI character so powerful that a comparable spell of yours just does less damage, but on those very rare occasions where the AI does something genuinely clever, it almost feels like a real chess match. If you compare the way fights happen in the arena mode so between equally leveled characters controlled by players and in the game, there's always gonna be a stark difference. And while I don't expect AI to be as creative as a human, the truth is that over the years the game meta has been combed through times over and we now know what is the most effective, but the AI doesn't make use of it at all. That to me is the only serious stain on the game, but I am a fan. It's by no means perfect, but the fact that the AI hasn't been updated to the knowledge unearthed by players is what I find disappointing. Then again, that disappointment stems from the fact that the devs update the game even now, years after release - they just don't update it to my liking. If they haven't touched it since, my disappointment would probably be lesser. You must log in or register to reply here. As an Amazon Associate, rpgcodex. Top Bottom.

When you are working offline, your changes will be synchronized with the server when a connection is established. This setting also lets you stay connected to the server without disruptions if there are intermittent outages of internet connectivity within range.
If you have enabled offline features of MS Outlook, you could use it as your default mail provider by clicking “Client Settings” on top of the email window; the account working offline after using Default Inbox Manager Attached Files.
We often hear from readers who say that, despite their efforts to set things up so Outlook works offline and disables syncing, specifically by disabling background updating under File > Options, they constantly get the annoying “Working Offline” notification.
If your Outlook hangs and then shows that the server is offline, there are ways to fix this issue. A specific example is Microsoft Outlook’s Program Compatibility Assistant, a part of Windows and the Office Suite which aims to integrate older versions with the newer product updates by bypassing errors and undesirable effects of using an older version.
However, on occasion, it is unable to do so and reports Outlook working offline error prompting mailbox users to turn it off. Yet disabling offline mode can cause messages to fail delivery or prevent mailboxes from syncing altogether among other negative user experiences.
