Job update: I realized the reason I wanted to leave my current job was mental illness™ and not because I actually wanted to work somewhere else, so I called Starbucks up and told them I changed my mind

#my job is not ideal but I’m not gonna find another one that gives me so much freedom #I basically work as much or as little as I want as long as I keep everyone supplied with work #and while I’m working I’m allowed to play solitaire and browse tumblr and write fanfic; like my boss doesn’t care #it does get hot during the summer but I’ve been getting off before it gets hot anyway #I just talked with my husband and realized that the reason I wanted to leave was because #I’m too hard on myself. and this job is so easy that it makes me feel like I’m not working hard enough. not doing enough #so I just beat myself up about how ‘little’ I do when I do enough every day #and then it translated into me feeling bad that I have so much free time. I feel bad that I have time to sit around and play stardew and #nap and stuff. I feel like everyone I live with must think I’m lazy and be tired of me doing nothing all day #but I talked to my husband and he was like??? I don’t want you to have to work harder #I love you and you do more than enough and it makes me happy that I can take care of you #and that you don’t have to work so hard. that you can come home early and have time to relax #so I need to just accept the gift he wants to give me and stop holding myself to such a high standard #our goal with saving money to share a house with our roommates was that I could work less so #we’ve achieved that goal and I just gotta chill lol #ren speaks #off brand ren cereal
