#if I speak…#one of the girls walked out yesterday #the best worker we have is on the verge of blowing up on this bitch’s leaders bc since he can do everything quick and efficiently already #they’re putting 3 to 4 ppl’s workloads on him to see how far they can extend his worth and then they’re over his shoulder the whole time #micromanaging him so today he almost lost it and was literally walking around mumbling about his disrespectful they all are (facts)#and how if they don’t think he’s doing it right then they can do it and I know for a fact one of the ladies heard him #bc he wasn’t even trying to hide it at this point and like this dude is cool he has a lot of patience and helps out any way he can #so if HE’S on the brink of snapping then the rest of us don’t stand a chance LMFAO #anyways today was a fucking mess those leaders know nothing about our store yet so they have us making less than what we need until we need #it so we get behind constantly and they made prep a disaster bc again they think they can just prep a bunch of stuff in the morning #and it’ll last the whole day and yes that works in theory but the reality of the situation is every day is different and today #we sold double what we did yesterday so they had to move me to prep to fix their mistakes bc we were running out of stuff 4 hours in lmfao #and I’m the only one left who knows how to do everything on prep bc the other girls had never done it before #we’re supposed to prep 20 mac n cheese trays in the morning for the whole day #we open lunch at 10:30 tell me why I go into the cooler at 12 put more in the oven and there’s only 5 left #it’s been less than 2 HOURS and you’re already running out of macs which means those idiots prepped barely anything just to try and save mo #*money to cut down waste but that gag if you’re losing money bc now you’re short on everything and customers are leaving bc they’re having #to wait a long time for their food #and macs take 40 minutes to cool LMFAO #I get over there they’re out of parfaits they’re out of fruit cups they’re out of kale salads the front is coming in and having to take #stuff as I make it bc they keep getting orders and it’s all just a fucking mess #I have to make a custom wrap and what happens?? those morons didn’t pull the flatbreads out of the freezer like they’re supposed to every #night so now we have no flatbread and I had to run back there and put them in the warming drawer to defrost and we lost an order bc I had #nothing to make the wraps with <3 #I go back there to get more cold chicken SPOILER ALERT they didn’t have anyone make any this morning so now there’s no chicken for the wrap #and salad and it has to be grilled and then chilled for 2 FUCKING HOURS before it can be used #they’re a fucking disaster like 😭#was the store perfect before?? ofc not but it ran quickly and efficiently as it should and now it’s literally just a mess #this bitch hasn’t even owned it for a full week yet and has already fucked it all up #womp womp!!!!!!

#and M A N today’s getsuyoubi was extra yuuutsu #first i dropped 2 cup things filled with water. cool. a mess was made. nice.#t h e n my workstation shook by itself and one of the cup things toppled down again. only it was filled with (diluted) acid this time!!!!#i wish it fell onto me bc at l e a s t my bad day would’ve ended with just an acid burn instead of getting worse #bc *then* we found out that we were near-out of [insert reagent here] that we need to run blanks for [test thing] yay!!!!! joy!!!!!!!!!#so we had to use a substitute solvent (sadge)#if only it ended there aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa #i left work on time -> waited forever for the delayed bus -> decided to get some coffee or sth as a pick me up t h e n…#the coffee place happened to run out of single bags so i decided to put it into my bag instead (mistake)…#…a n d dropped my phone while trying to prop the stupid drink upright so it wouldn’t spill.#unfortunately for me though... some rando picked up my phone some time within the 30s-1 min wherein i realised that my phone was gone…#…and took it home with him instead of handing it to the customer service counter at the nearby train stations. ha.#called my phone a couple of times with the phone from a customer service counter but he~~ didn’t~~ pick up~~~~~~~~~#and so. long story short. i had to leave the house an extra time to go to this guy’s place to pick up my bb (read: my phone)#bc the dude~~~ can’t~~~~ speak~~~ english~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ so he didn’t understand me when i told him my location~~~~~~~#and now it’s almost 8.30 in the pm. im waiting for the delayed bus to go home from wherever tf i am now. and i haven’t eaten all day :))))#(aside from a small cake thing but it’s negligible tbh)#aND HOLY FK I HATE THIS I FLAGGED DOWN THE BUS BUT IT SKIPPED THE STOP HELP ME I JUST WANNA GO HOME #.am i allowed to cry yet. i. just. i just wanna eat my dinner.#…come to think of it my drink ended up spilling in my bag while i was hunting for my phone. so. there’s that to clean up ig.#ughhhhhhhhh i wish that guy had just left my phone where he found it. s o b s #so yeah. if you read this i hope you had a good monday at least…#this truly is my ✨t r a g i c c o m e d y✨

#guy who has given up 999999999 times but has then kept going 1000000000000 times despite it..#this is abt aforementioned work situations and also new awful work situation. this time i got yelled at by a customer bc i wouldn't leave #when i opened the glass case for them which is like. a showcase with these glass doors that only employees can open with specific keys in #which the more expensive bags & jewelry & watches etc reside and if a customer asks if we can open it so they can view or try on a thing #inside we have to stay by them until they're done looking or trying on and have decided they're gonna take it (or not) because we have had #things stolen so many times here u wouldn't believe. so we're told to stay thus i had to stay till she was finished and she didn't rlly lik #that one i guess.. anyway while i do not give a shit what a random woman thinks of me i am very bad with getting yelled at so. fun times.#still red in the face as i'm typing this. it's fine though i didn't cry 👍 a near thing though but that's also fine i'm gonna go to the #staff toilets and sneak my trusty wired earphones in with me and listen to whale song until i've calmed down #can't wait to get home and eat and shower and get in my sweatpants and drink a beer or possibly some wine and watch attorney woo and then #later this evening play a game on the ps5 with my siblings and eat late-night snacks and drink another beer or possibly some more wine and #forget all about the start of this day <33333 and scroll through tumblr somewhere in between there and also do my duolingo lest i lose my #stupid streak. peace n love on planet earth once i get home <3333 #r.txt

I love second hand book shops, I got to them frequently and always leave with Something and have a good time just peakin around

But i gotta say

It's one of the Worst spots for me in terms of imposter syndrome

I feel like everyone's uneasey with my presence as though i'm a stranger who just stumbled into their inner sanctum and they're.. they're gunna let me stay but they're gunna be weirded out the whole time and breath a sigh of relief when the Strange Unwelcome Freak Leaves

It also happens at record shops and sometimes at small antique shops or cons+festivals

Just this immediate foreboding of being Angrily Tolerated in a Space I Don't Belong

#monster noises #it's Incalculably stupid because 1) it's a store. anyone can go in there.#and 2) in all those locations... I do beling there!!!!!!!! not even in the sense of point 1 where it's a retail location but like!!!!#Book shops Record shops Antique malls Cons... are all like super 100% right up my alley nerd shit these Should be like '''''my people'''''''#which is i think a strong contributing factor to this pervasive feeling like #there's an underlying current of not just being in there to Shop but that i want the other people there to Like Me? I guess?#in our limited interaction?#i want them to see that i'm One Of Them and it makes me nervous #because whenever i am trying to be a Part of something i Immediately feel like some kind of isolated hollow fraud #like i'm worried that i not only Look like a poser #but that i Am #secretly #a Poser #so secretly that I don't even relaiE i'm a poser #it probably doesn't help that i also always have The most off-kilter interactions with the staff in these scenerios #it's never anything truly embarassing #but it's always like i try to be as nice as possible but their reaction is never what i expect #and it throws me off #it's a hard thing to pin down in words but like.. it feels like they are more than anything just Waiting for me to leave #if not from the get-go then from the moment i open my mouth to answer a question #and like idk !!! i'm trying so hard to be open and friendly and not just use canned response but also not be Too weird or too loud #and be engaged in conversation but it never works!#it's like i ooze some deeply unpleasant vibe and it turns everyone off me immediately when i enter their space #i'll see other customers having lovely conversations with staff and stuff and then when it's me it's like Cold #truly it does nothing for my self esteem #not everyone has yo or is going to like me but i really don't think it's too big an ask to not be scrutinized by store staff Constantly ;<;

really need to actually finish up the last couple of blocks for my quilt so that I can put the blocks together and then quilt everything and finish up but work was exhausting today (steady stream of customers until we ran out of rental equipment, then a steady stream of returned boots and dryers that needed to be filled/emptied/filled again, then more customers once we had the equipment to rent again) and all I want to do is become a blob on the floor.

buuuut my parents keep asking about my progress and I’ve only got a little under two weeks to go until I need to be done, so I gotta keep going,

(but my legs hurt so much)

#personal #normally we get to sit for a good chunk of the day #just about strangled my coworker when she decided to sit down when there were a ton of customers #she didn't need to sit it was just that one line was blocking our access to our line and so she went 'eh not my problem'#completely ignored that we could still reach customers if we tried #didn't even attempt to try to do anything else to help #can't wait until she leaves #also she never uses ten words to say something when fifty would also work #so she's confusing the crap out of customers all the time

I love it when people get snippy with me cuz I don't hear them the first time 🙃

#was gettin my updated covid booster from good ole heb #and like the seating area is around the corner from where the vaccines are given #and the lady calls for me i assume becase i cant hear it #because 1. its a loud grocery store 2. its a solid 20 feet away around a corner and 3. I HAVE SOME HEARING LOSS #so all that combined means i couldnt hear the lady util she was visably annoyed #yeah dont bother actually going to the waiting area where customers are directed to nonono lets YELL ACROSS THE STORE AND HOPE THEY HEAR #then as i go in (she didnt even bother to like tell me where to go. she darted in and left the door open) she says something #(while my back is turned. ie i cant hear her and i cant infer what she said by body language or watching her mouth)#so i ask 'can you repeat that please'and ahe looks at me like i just vomited in her shoes #and repeates the first thing she said and not the second #i answer and she finally says the second thing (which is really what i didnt hear to begin with)#and all the while shes now acting like im fucking 3 #i get my vaccine and i leave but like?????#and if thats the experience i have withy my MINOR hesring loss???? i cant IMAGINE the treatment HOH/Deaf people face
