I respect people having different opinions regarding characters and stuff

But there are some people that go wildly overboard and I can’t deal with them when they’re being assholes about it

#I’m talking about Snape fans #because I watch this guy react to the Harry Potter books for the first time #and he’s great and very diplomatic and wonderful #but in his reactions he has a book club where he makes a post on his patreon for the couple chapters he read #and then he goes through all the comments left after a couple weeks #and there’s one person that is a Snape fan #which I am not but I also understand because I used to be and I respect peoples opinions #BUT THIS PERSON like berates people on their own comments if they don’t agree that Snape is a saint #and they twist everything around about other characters to make Snape the sole good guy #like they’re saying that Remus didn’t admit to the marauders being animagi bc he didn’t want to ruin his rep #are we reading the same book?? #idk I just can’t handle when people do this #I have other examples for other fandoms but that was the catalyst for this post #Harry Potter #shut up alex
